  • The existing fixed telematics facilities for car were restricting of efficiency, utilization, communication, possibility, so it become disconnected with reality in the domestic and foreign market within thy near future, like as the case of 'car-phone'. It is too difficult to make a various business model on the restrict basis. To solve these problems, We suggested Tablet PC system as a new mobile telematics platform. The telematics platform based on the Tablet PC realize the perfect office, because it shows an excellent portability, high power and extension, various input equipment, and environment of communication in the car. To realize this concreteness, it needs a proper marketing strategy for a new business model. For this purpose, We analyzed the structure of industry, selected a proper target market, and established the strategy of marketing. Additionally, We proposed new business models ; particularly Portal site, Car-Home network, Car Software Tuning, and T-Vaccine(Intelligent Car Inspection System). These are made possible by the only Tablet PC platform.

Design of a Remote Control Application Using Mobile Phone with WPAN Platform

  • In this paper, we design a mobile phone based remote control system for PC using SKT WPAN platform and compare the presented platform with that of Windows Mobile. The usability of WPAN is one of the main issues which should be considered for the ubiquitous services. For easy development and easy use of the WPAN applications, SKT WPAN platform provides abstract WPAN APIs and WPAN Application Manager for ubiquitous services. In this paper, we implement a remote control application using the WPAN platform and show the validity of the platform comparing with other platforms. In the implemented application, we use WPAN abstract APIs on the mobile phone side and a general Bluetooth APIs on the PC for a connection between phone and PC. Through the implementation and comparison, we show that the WPAN application can be easily developed with WPAN platform.

  • At present, many machine leaning and data mining methods are used for analyzing and predicting structural response characteristics. However, the platform that combines big data analysis methods with online and offline analysis modules has not been used in actual projects. This work is dedicated to developing a multifunctional Hadoop-Spark big data platform for bridges to monitor and evaluate the serviceability based on structural health monitoring system. It realizes rapid processing, analysis and storage of collected health monitoring data. The platform contains offline computing and online analysis modules, using Hadoop-Spark environment. Hadoop provides the overall framework and storage subsystem for big data platform, while Spark is used for online computing. Finally, the big data Hadoop-Spark platform computational performance is verified through several actual analysis tasks. Experiments show the Hadoop-Spark big data platform has good fault tolerance, scalability and online analysis performance. It can meet the daily analysis requirements of 5s/time for one bridge and 40s/time for 100 bridges.

  • The current Navigation System for the Visually Impaired Person has a short and limited communication distance and can't receive enough information from Visually Impaired Person to assist directly. In addition, because the path is dangerous and incomplete for the Visually Impaired Person, moving with White Stick is still inconvenient and dangerous. To solve this problem we implement communication that can send and receive video, voice, location information between the Visually Impaired Person's Android platform and assistant's PC.

  • 시스템 자체를 에뮬레이션 하는 Virtual Platform은 임베디드 시스템 개발 프로세스 과정 중 하나인 소프트웨어 개발의 시점을 앞당길 수 있어 Time-To-Market을 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 Virtual Platform에 리눅스를 포팅하고 벤치마크 프로그램을 수행하여 성능을 측정하였다. 또한 이를 임베디드 시스템의 실제 개발단계에서 사용되는 Prototype Machine과 완성된 시제품에 각각 매칭 될 수 있는 FPGA 와 PC의 성능과 비교함으로써 Open Source Virtual Platform의 대표 주자인 QEMU의 효용성을 연구하였다. 실험 결과, 전체적인 성능은 PC가 FPGA보다 약 5.27배, FPGA가 Virtual Platform보다 5.38배, PC가 Virtual Platform보다 약 28.36배 더 좋은 성능을 보였다.

  • 본 논문은 Platform 기반의 PEBB(Power Electronics Building Block)을 이용한 계통연계형 에너지저장시스템(ESS) PCS의 개발전략과 효율적인 운용 방법에 대해 제안한다. Platform Design이란 표준제조 공정을 통해 다양한 제품을 만들어 내는 기술을 뜻한다. 이 Platform으로 생산되는 Modular PEBB(Power Electronics Building Block)을 이용하여 다양한 용량대의 제품에 대응할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 125kW에서부터 2MW제품까지 병렬확장이 가능하다. PCS의 Platform화로 시스템 용량 확장이 용이하며, 대량 생산이 가능하기 때문에 비용 측면에서의 장점이 있다. 그리고 부분 운전을 통해 운영 효율 향상과 PCS 수명을 늘릴 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 Platform 기반의 PCS의 물리적 및 제어적 구조를 설명하고, 개발전략의 방법에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

Development of a GPS Receiver Platform with High Resolution to Design of Interference Excision Filters (간섭신호 감쇄필터 설계를 위한 고분해능의 GPS 수신기 플랫폼 개발)

  • A GPS receiver platform has been developed to design an interference rejection filter and the platform is also able to evaluate performance of those filters. This platform consists of RF/IF part, data acquisition part and PC part. The RF/IF part converts RF signals to IF signals, the data acquisition part transmits the IF signals to PC using USB device. The PC part rejects the interferences with a filter and then it does navigation with GPS software receiver. The RF/IF part and data acquisition part had been validated with signal spectrum, and the PC part had been validated with the navigation results of GPS receiver. Finally, the entire platform including interference rejection filter has been confirmed with the navigation results in case that the GPS signals and interference entered this platform. As a result, the GPS receiver operated well against interference with 45dB JSR.

  • An open architecture manufacturing strategy intends to integrate manufacturing components on a single platform so that a particular component can be easily added and/or replaced. Therefore, the control scheme based upon the open architecture concept is hardware-independent. In this paper, a modular and object oriented approach for a PC-based open robot control system is investigated. A standard reference model for robot systems, which consists of three modules; hardware module, operating system module, and application software module, is first proposed. Then, a PC-based Open Robot Controller(PC-ORC), which can reconfigure robot control systems in various production environments, is developed. The PC-ORC is built upon the object-oriented method, and allows an easy implementation and modification of various modules. The PC-ORC consists of basic softwares, application objects, and additional hardware device on the PC Platform. The application objects are: sequencer, computation unit, servo control, ancillary equipment, external sensor control, and so on. In order to demonstrate the applicability of the PC-ORC, the proposed PC-ORC configuration is applied to an industrial SCARA robot system.

  • To provide convenient life, we consider the situation of using the smart phone to control smart TV and PC in home and office. In this paper, we design the interworking platform between smart TV, smart phone and PC, and implement their applications. Our smart phone application controls the smart TV and PC, where our smart TV application communicates with the smart phone and PC can be booted by the login and password information given form our smart phone application. We hope that our platform design and application implementation will be contributed to be a foundation of interworking between various smart devices in the near-future real smart life.

  • In the recent gaming industry, the paradigm has been changed with upcoming core-platform as time goes by. Arcade, console, PC online and smart device platforms are representative ones. In recently, the platform is changed to multi-platform which connecting to smart device and other platforms. Besides, the multi-platform without PC is up-coming. This paper suggests that a kind of multi-platform which connecting from smart devices to arcade devices be aware of lack of continuous. It provides a new arcade gaming condition connecting to smart devices, then supplies online network conditions to the arcade gaming machine. The original arcade game was lack of continuous and the game platform was so simple, but now, it could be focused from players by connecting to smart devices to increase the gaming machines' continuity. Furthermore, Bluetooth communication module and wireless Wi-Fi communication module are used to adapt various communication environments. The Unity3D engine would make contents' expandability.
