  • This paper presents a survey of software reliability modeling and it's application to pre-built software system combined with hardware such as numerical controller based on personal computer systems. Many a systems in these days are much more becoming software intensive and many software intensive systems are safety critical. For this reason, the technique well developed to measure of software reliability is very important for whom to assess such a system. This paper provides a brief idea of method to evaluate such a system's reliability based on hardware performance.

  • Through comparison and evaluation of various HDD systems for PC such as magnetic HDD, Intel turbo memory and Solid State Drive (SSD), an optimized HDD system to improve booting speed proposed. For the study, conventional magnetic HDD, magnetic HDD with Intel turbo memory, SSD and SSD with Intel turbo memory are used. The evaluation is performed based on a full notebook machine with Intel SantaRosa platform and MicroSoft Windows Vista.

  • 종래의 DNC(Direct Numerical Control)에서 가공 Cell의 효율을 높이기 위한 분산 제어 DNC(Distributed Numerical Control)시스템 운용을 위해서는, 운용에 필요한 소프트웨어 외에 공작기계 및 주변기계에 대한 실시간 감시/제어 기능을 가져야 한다. 이를 위해 당 연구실에서는 경제성 및 확장성을 고려 범용 PLC (Programable Logic Controller)와 각 공작기계 및 주변기기를 연결하고, PC(Personal Computer)와 다자간 및 고속 통신이 가능한 전용 통신회선을 이용한 경제성 있는 실시간 가공 Cell 감시/제어시스템 RT-COMOS(Real Time Machine Cell Control and Monitoring System)를 개발했다. 본 논문에서는 이에 대한 연구결과를 소개한다.

  • In design of the plastic injection mold, most of drawings are composed of basic entities. It is very easy to produce many kinds of drawings by Group Technology. Group Technology is a technique In which part similarities are used to classify parts into part families according to either geometric shape and size or processing requirements. Almost data for the mold are decided during the assembly design. A system which shows a good interfaces between the design stage and producing part exploding Is developed using AutoCAD system and data conversion technique.

  • The information with regard to the working rance of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition is managed as detabase system for turning operation. Date with regard to the working range of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition are stroed by the DBMS(Data Base Management System) and can be added, modified, deleted and retrieved. Data stored in database system are searched to select the most proper cutting tool and cutting condition with the input data fed from the design stage. The system developed in this work is operated by the pull down menu on the IBM PC/AT personal computer, or compatible series.

  • A computer program for matrix structural analysis by object-oriented programming technique using $C^{++}$ language has been developed. Object, class, method and inheritance which are used in object-oriented programming are illustrated using a graphical representation. The matrix operations and the structural analysis by matrix displacement method were satisfactorily performed by the proposed program. Numerical tests demonstrate that this proposed program can be widely used for the matrix structural analysis for personal computers.s.

  • 본 논문에서는 경제성, 효율성, 확장성 및 개발의 편의성을 고려한 환자 모니터링 모바일 시스템의 개발 사례를 보고한다. 특히 생명징후(Vital Sign) 중에서도 체온(Body Temperature)을 모니터링 하는 모바일 시스템 MBTMS 개발을 다루었다. MBTMS(Mobile Body Temperature Monitoring System)는 다음과 같이 세 부분으로 구성된다: (1) 환자의 체온들 수집하기 위한 센서, (2) 센서를 통해 체온을 측정하는 모듈, (3) 모듈에서 전달받은 자료를 처리 분석, 저장하는 PC(Personal Computer) Application으로 구성된다. 이러한 MBTMS는 입원환자 및 노약자를 위한 경제적인 PMS(Patient Monitoring System) 개발 및 e-Health 연구의 한 부분으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Man-Machine Interface Device for Dismantling Factory

  • In dismantling factories for recycling, it is important to input actual working data to a personal computer (PC) in order to monitor the work results and related recycling rate of the inputs. This should be performed with a keyboard, a mouse, or other devices. But when a worker is working in the factory, it could be bothersome or time consuming to go to the PC. Especially, workers who works at dismantling factories have a generally low education level are scared to use a PC, which could be used as a pretext for not using the PC. In some cases, data input is performed by a worker after the day's job. In this case, it could take additional time, the worker can make more mistakes, and the data could be unreliable. In this study, we developed a man-machine interface (MMI) device using a safety helmet. A joystick-like device, pushbuttons, and a radio frequency (RF) device for wireless communication is equipped in a safety helmet. This MMI device has functions similar to a PC mouse, and it has a long communication distance. RF is used because it consumes less battery power than Bluetooth. With this MMI device, workers need not go to a PC to input data or to control the PC, and they can control the PC from a long distance. The efficiency of PCs in a factory could be increased by using the developed MMI system, and workers at the dismantling factories could have less reluctance in using the PC.

  • Recently, the popularity of Social Network Service (SNS) along with the spread of smart phone, personal computer and tablet PC helps personal network to construct new forms of services in cyberspace. As such, SNS plays a significant role in constructing diverse online networks and there is a growing interest on SNS at societal level. In this vein, the purpose of the research was to find the factors affecting the continuance intention to use social network services. The major findings are summarized as follows. First, "System Quality", "Contents Quality", "Personal Innovativeness", "Self-Efficiency", "Honor Benefit" has significant effects on "Relationship Quality". Yet, "Economic Benefit" is not statistically significant on "Relationship Quality". Second, "Relationship Quality" has a significant effect on "Continuous Usage Intention". Last, our research discovered the relationship between exogenous variables which would serve as valuable inputs in the development of strategic guideline and plan for SNS companies and related services.

  • 현재 핸드폰과 PDA(Personal Digital Assistants) 등과 같은 모바일 PC에서는 작은 화면과 처리속도 및 전송 속도 등을 이용한 WAP을 통해 인터넷 서비스를 제공하고자 하는 많은 연구가 진행되고 있고 일부는 실용화되고 있다. 그러나 빠른 전송 속도를 자랑하는 제 3세대 이동 통신인 IMT-2000이 시장에 나왔음에도 불구하고 산업 기반에 기여할 만한 어플리케이션이 많지 않은 것이 현실이다. 이에 반에 휴대용 정보 단말기인 PDA는 GIS, 전화번호부 등과 같이 스케일이 근 프로그램이 사용되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 PDA와 핸드폰 등 다양한 모바일 환경에서 실시간에 신속하고 효율적으로 환자검색 및 처방을 할 수 있는 원격진료시스템을 제안하고 구현한다.
