Let {$X_{ni}|1\;{\le}\;i\;{\le}\;n$, $n\;{\ge}\;1$} be an array of rowwise negatively associated random variables and let $\alpha$ > 1/2, 0 < p < 2 ${\alpha}p\;{\ge}\;1$. In this paper we discuss $n^{{\alpha}p-2}h(n)$ max $_{1\;{\le}\;k{\le}n}\;|\;{\sum}^k_{i=1}\;X_{ni}|/n^{\alpha}\;{\to}\;0$ completely as $n\;{\to}\;{\infty}$ under not necessarily identically distributed with a suitable conditions and h(x) > 0 is a slowly varying function as $x\;{\to}\;{\infty}$. In addition, we obtained that $n^{{\alpha}p-2}h(n)$ max $_{1\;{\le}\;k{\le}n}\;|\;{\sum}^k_{i=1}\;X_{ni}|/n^{\alpha}\;{\to}\;0$ completely as $n\;{\to}\;{\infty}$ if and only if $E|X_{11}|^ph(|X_{11}|^{1/\alpha})\;<\;{\infty}$ and $EX_{11}\;=\;0$ under identically distributed case and some corollaries are obtained.

p-ary sequences of period $N=2^k-1$ are widely used in many areas of engineering and sciences. Some well-known applications include coding theory, code-division multiple-access (CDMA) communications, and stream cipher systems. The analysis of cross-correlations of these sequences is a very important problem in p-ary sequences research. In this paper, we analyze cross-correlations of p-ary sequences which is associated with the equation $(x+1)^d=x^d+1$ over finite fields.

The electro-deposition of compound semiconductors has been attracting more attention because of its ability to rapidly deposit nanostructured materials and thin films with controlled morphology, dimensions, and crystallinity in a costeffective manner (1). In particular, low band-gap $A_2B_3$-type chalcogenides, such as $Sb_2Te_3$ and $Bi_2Te_3$, have been extensively studied because of their potential applications in thermoelectric power generator and cooler and phase change memory. Thermoelectric $Sb_xTe_y$ films were potentiostatically electrodeposited in aqueous nitric acid electrolyte solutions containing different ratios of $TeO_2$ to $Sb_2O_3$. The stoichiometric $Sb_xTe_y$ films were obtained at an applied voltage of -0.15V vs. SCE using a solution consisting of 2.4 mM $TeO_2$, 0.8 mM $Sb_2O_3$, 33 mM tartaric acid, and 1M $HNO_3$. The stoichiometric $Sb_xTe_y$ films had the rhombohedral structure with a preferred orientation along the [015] direction. The films featured hole concentration and mobility of $5.8{\times}10^{18}/cm^3$ and $54.8\;cm^2/V{\cdot}s$, respectively. More negative applied potential yielded more Sb content in the deposited $Sb_xTe_y$ films. In addition, the hole concentration and mobility decreased with more negative deposition potential and finally showed insulating property, possibly due to more defect formation. The Seebeck coefficient of as-deposited $Sb_2Te_3$ thin film deposited at -0.15V vs. SCE at room temperature was approximately 118 ${\mu}V/K$ at room temperature, which is similar to bulk counterparts.
Purpose : To evaluate changes in expression of cell cycle related genes during apoptosis induced in HL60 cells by X-irradiation to understand molecular biologic aspects in mechanism of radiation therapy. Material and Methods : HL-60 cell line (promyelocytic leukemia cell line) was grown in culture media and irradiated with 8 Gr by linear accelerator (6 MV X-ray). At various times after irradiation, ranging from 3 to 48 hours were analyzed apoptotic DNA fragmentation assay for apoptosis and by western blot analysis and semi-quantitative RT-PCR for expression of cell cycle related genes (cyclin A, cyclin B, cyclin C, cyclin Dl, cyclin E, cdc2, CDK2, CDK4, $p16^{INK4a}$, $p21^{WAF1}$, $p27^{KIP1}$, E2F, PCNA and Rb). Results : X-irradiation (8 Gy) induced apoptosis in HL-60 cell line. Cycline A protein increased after reaching its peak 48 h after radiation delivery and cyclin E, E2F, CDK2 and RB protein increased then decreased after radiation. Radiation induced up-regulation of the expression of E2F is due to mostly increase of Phosphorylated retinoblastoma proteins (ppRb). Cyclin Dl, PCNA, CDC2, CDK4 and $p16^{INK4a}$ protein underwent no significant change at any times after irradiation. There was not detected $p21^{WAF1}$ and $p27^{KIP1}$ protein. Cyclin A, B, C mRNA decreased immediately after radiation and then increased at 12 h after radiation. Cyclin Dl mRNA increased immediately and then decreased at 48 h after radiation. After radiation, cyclin E mRNA decreased with the lapse of time. CDK2 mRNA decreased at 3h and increased at eh after radiation. CDK4 mRNA rapidly increased at 6 to 12 h after radiation. There was no change of expression of $p16^{INK4a}$ and not detected in expressin of $p21^{WAF1}$ and $p27^{KIP1}$ mRNA. Conclusion : We suggest that entry into S phase may contribute to apoptosis of HL60 cells induced by irradiation. Increase of ppRb and decrease of pRb protein are related with radiation induced auoptosis of HL60 cells and tosis of HL60 cells induced by irradiation. Increase of ppRb and decrease of PRb protein are related with radiation induced apoptosis of HL60 cells and this may be associated with induction of E2F and cyclinE/CDK2. These results support that $p21^{WAF1}$ and $p27^{KIP1}$ are not related with radiation induced-apoptosis.
New vanadium(V) complex, $(NH_4)_2[VO_2NTA]$, has been synthesized and its structure has been determined by solution and solid-state NMR spectroscopies as well as X-ray crystallography. The unit cell of the monoclinic crystals contains four complexes with $a=6.923(1){\AA}$, $b=8.824(2){\AA}$, $c=19.218(11){\AA}$ and ${\beta}=91.60(3)^{\circ}$ in the space group of $P2_1/n$. The $[VO_2NTA]^{2-}$ anion has distorted octahedral geometry with cis-$VO_2$ moiety. It is confirmed that the octahedral geometry is retained in both of solution and solid-state complexes.
We selected a solvent for producing antioxidants from sporophyll of Undaria pinnatOptimum extraction condition for antioxidant ability(Y) of sporophyll of U. pinnatifida was investigated using response surface methodology(RSM). A compound central design was used with variables ($X_1$)temperature($^{\circ}C$) (3.4; 20; 60; 100; 116.6); ($X_2$) pH(1.8; 3; 6; 9; 10.2) and ($X_3$) treatment time(min) (1.7; 10; 30; 50; 58.3). Antioxidant activities were increased with decreasing pH and increasing temperature. The optimal extraction conditions for antioxidant ability(Y) of sporophyll of U. pinnatifida were found to be temperature $51.55^{\circ}C$, pH 4.2 and treatment time 28.2 min. Among the variables tested, pH showed greater significant facin extraction of antioxidants from sporophyll of U. pinnatifida.
This experiment was carried out to predict the sensory properties of yogurt by instrumental methodology. Sensory attributes such as viscosity, mouth-feel, taste and quality were investigated. Instrumental parameters were measured with refractometer, viscometer, consistometer and rheometer. Sensory data showed that viscosity of peach yogurt was higher than that of strawberry and tropical-fruit-mixed (TFM) yogurts (p<.05). All instrumental parameters of peach yogurt were higher than those of strawberry and TFM yogurts, except cohesiveness and elasticity (p<.05). Viscosity measured by panelists was significantly correlated with instrumental viscosity, consistency, hardness, adhesiveness and gumminess in the fruit yogurts (p<.05). But mouth-feel and quality of yogurts showed poor relationships with instrumental parameters. The effective instrumental parameters for predicting sensory viscosity ($Y_{1}$) of yogurts were consistency ($X_{1}$), viscosity ($X_{2}$) and cohesiveness ($X_{3}$). And those for predicting mouth-feel ($Y_{2}$) were consistency. The estimated regression equations were as follows; $Y_{1}=4.968-0.0486X_{1}+0.00012X_{2}+0.0348X_{3},\;Y_{2}=5.701+0.0154X_{1}$.
Heterojunction solar cells of $n-Cd_{1-x}Zn_xS/p-Si$ were fabricated by solution growth technique. The crystal structure, spectral response, surface morphology, and I-V characteristics of the $n-Cd_{1-x}Zn_xS/p-Si$ heterojunction solar cells were studied. The $Cd_{1-x}Zn_xS$ layer deposited on a silicon substrate (111) were found to be a cubic structure with the crystal orientation (111), (220) of the CdS and to be a hexagonal structure with crystal orientation (100) of the ZnS. The open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, fill factor, and conversion efficiency of $n-Cd_{1-x}Zn_xS/p-Si$ heterojunction solar cell under $100mW/cm^2$ illumination were found to be 0.43V, 38mA. 0.76, and 12.4%, respectively.
The bone mineral density(BMD) of the lumbar spine (L2-L4) was measured by using dual energy x-ray absorptiometry(Norland XR26 DEXA) in 80 children aged between 2months and 15years (group 1 : 2month-1years, group 2 : 1year-5years, group 3 : 6years-10years, group 4 : 11years-15years). The correlation coefficient of BMD with age, body weight, height and Tanner stage were 0.696, 0.693, 0.717 and 0.636 respectively. There were significant difference in BMD($g/cm^2$) between group 1(BMD : $0.335{\pm}0.175$) and group 2(BMD : $0.627{\pm}0.200$). and group 3(BMD : $0.714{\pm}0.189$) and group 4(BMD : $0.873{\pm}0.163$)(P<0.05). There was no significant difference of BMD between boys and girls(P<0.05). BMD also increased significantly with development of Tanner stages(Tanner stage 1 : $0.547{\pm}0.234$, Tanner stage 2 : $0.783{\pm}0.136$, Tanner stage 3 : $0.998{\pm}0.080$ )(P<0.05). These data indicate that the BMD was correlated with age, body weight, height and Tanner stage significantly and BMD increased significantly during growth spurt occured in 1 to 4years of age and puberty.
