  • The objectives of this study were to compare the growth of Vitex rotundifolia as affected by the difference of soil depth and mixture ratio in a shallow-extensive green roof module system, and to identify the level of soil thickness and mixture ratio as suitable growing condition to achieve the desired plant growth in green roof. Different soil thickness levels were achieved under 7cm, 15cm and 25cm of shallow-extensive green roof module systems made by woody frame of $500{\times}500{\times}300mm$. Soil mixture ratio were eight types for perlite : peatmoss : leafmold = 7 : 1 : 2 (v/v/v, $P_7P_1L_2$), perlite : peatmoss : leafmold = 6 : 2 : 2 (v/v/v, $P_6P_2L_2$), perlite : peatmoss : leafmold = 5 : 3 : 2 (v/v/v, $P_5P_3L_2$), perlite : peatmoss : leafmold = 4 : 4 : 2 (v/v/v, $P_4P_4L_2$), only sand ($S_{10}$), sand : leafmold = 7 : 3 (v/v, $S_7L_3$), sand : leafmold = 5 : 5 (v/v, $S_5L_5$) and only leafmold ($L_{10}$). The growth response of Vitex rotundifolia had fine and sustain condition in $P_6P_2L_2$, $P_5P_3L_2$ and $P_4P_4L_2$., Especially, in case of $P_6P_2L_2$, growth response appeared to be good even in soil thickness 7cm, which showed low survival rates of Vitex rotundifolia in other soil mixtures. Tree height, root diameter, photosynthesis and chlorophyll contents tended to increase with increased soil thickness.

  • This paper provides the performance measurement and analysis of Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 in a mobile environment. The performances of IEEE802.11b/g and IEEE802.11p designed for Vehicle-to-Vehicle(V2V) communication are measured and analyzed. Diameter of communication and link access time are compared under variation of speed of the vehicle.

  • In this paper, we have designed the p-type SiGe MOSFET and analyzed the electrical characteristics over the temperature range of 300K and 77K. When the gate voltage is biased to -1.5V, the threshold voltage values are -0.97V and -1.15V at room temperature and 77K, respectively. We know that the operating characteristics of SiGe MOSFET is superior to the basic Si MOSFET which the threshold voltage is -1.36V.

  • This study was designed to investigate the karyotype analysis of Juniperus chinensis and its seven varieties, and P. densiflora and P. densiflora for. multicaulis. Following results were obtained. 1. Three varieties, J. chinensis v. kaizuka, J. chinensis v. aureo-variegata and J. chinensis v. procumbens are turned out as tetraploids. 2. Varieties having many long chromosomes and long mean relative length of chromosomes are J. chinensis and J. chinensis v. aureo-globosa, while varieties having short chromosomes are J. chinensis v. horizontalis and J. chinensis v. globosa. 3. Varieties with high mean ratio of long arm length to short arm are J. chinensis v. globosa and J. chinensis v. kaizuka, while a variety with the low mean ratio is J. chinensis v. aureo-globosa. 4. When chromosomes are arranged according to the total length, the most similar variety with J. chinensis was J. chinensis v. sargentii, J. chinensis v. horizontalis, J. chinensis v. globosa and J. chinensis v. aureo-globosa, while the least similar one was J. chinensis v. procumbens. 5. Pinus densiflora for. multicaulis has shorter mean relative length of chromosome than P. densiflora, while the arm ratio of the former is higher than the latter. 6. When chromosomes are arranged according to the total length, six chromosomes showed the same order between the two varieties. 7. P. densiflora for. multicaulis has many chromosomes with secondary constriction.

  • In injection molding, the quality of an injection molded product varies greatly depending on the molding conditions. Many researche studies have been conducted on the quality analysis of molded parts according to the molding conditions such as injection pressure, injection temperature, and packing pressure. However, there have not been many studies on the V/P switchover timing. It is known that when a large pressure is applied to a cavity in the packing phase, the cavity pressure is most affected by the packing pressure. In addition, depending on the position (timing) of the packing pressure, it can have a direct influence on quality based on the shrinkage and dimensions of the molded parts. In this study, the change in pressure profile in the cavity according to the V/P switchover position is confirmed. A CAE analysis program (Moldflow) was used to simulate and analyze two models using the PC and PBT materials. In order to compare these results with the actual injection molding results, injection molding was performed for each V/P switchover position, and the correlation between simulation and experiment, especially for the shrinkage of molded parts, was evaluated.

  • Background: We investigated the long-term outcomes of truncus arteriosus repair at a single institution with a 30-year study period. Methods: Patients who underwent repair of truncus arteriosus between 1993 and 2022 were reviewed retrospectively. Factors associated with early mortality, overall attrition, and reintervention were identified using appropriate statistical methods. Results: In total, 42 patients were enrolled in this study. The median age and weight at repair were 26 days and 3.5 kg, respectively. Thirty patients (71.4%) underwent 1-stage repair. There were 8 early deaths (19%). In the univariable analysis, undergoing surgery before 2011 was associated with early mortality (p=0.031). The overall survival rate at 10 years was 73.8%. In the multivariable analysis, significant truncal valve (TrV) dysfunction (p=0.010), longer cardiopulmonary bypass time (p=0.018), and the earlier era of surgery (p=0.004) were identified as risk factors for overall mortality. During follow-up, 47 reinterventions were required in 27 patients (64.3%). The freedom from all-cause reintervention rate at 10 years was 23.6%. In the multivariable analysis, associated arch obstruction (p<0.001) and significant TrV dysfunction (p=0.011) were identified as risk factors for all-cause reintervention. Arch obstruction (p=0.027) and a number of TrV cusps other than 3 (p=0.014) were identified as risk factors for right ventricle to pulmonary artery (RV-PA) reintervention, and significant TrV dysfunction was identified as a risk factor for TrV reintervention (p=0.002). Conclusion: Despite recent improvements in survival outcomes after repair of truncus arteriosus, RV-PA or TrV reinterventions were required in a significant number of patients during follow-up.

  • In this paper, retention characteristics of lateral charge migration according to parameters of 3D NAND flash memory to which ferroelectric (HfO2) structure is applied and ∆Vth were analyzed. The larger the Ps, the greater maximum polarization possible in ferroelectric during Programming. Therefore, the initial Vth increases by about 1.04V difference at Ps 70µC/cm2 than at Ps 25µC/cm2. Also, electrons trapped after the Program operation causes lateral charge migration over time. Since ferroelectric maintains polarization without applying voltage to the gate after Programming, regardless of Ps value, polarization increases as Pr increases and the ∆Vth due to lateral charge migration becomes smaller by about 1.54V difference at Pr 50µC/cm2 than Pr 5µC/cm2.
