  • Distribution Automation System (DAS) will provide supervision and remote control of switches and reclosers such as pole pounted switches and pad-mounted switchgears on high voltage distribution line. Kepco had developed basic function such as remote monitoring, remote control, remote measuring and remote setting at first. As a next step, Kepco has been developed diverse application programs such as single line diagram drawing program, relay coordination program, feeder reconfiguration program, over load elimination program, bad data detection program, section load management program, fault processing program and so on. Kepco is examining to develop more powerful functions for special specification of foreign distribution automation system. This paper explains what is the target for overseas DAS market.

Perfume Consumption Behaviors of Female College Students - Based on the frequency of perfume usage - (여대생의 향수 소비행동에 관한 연구 -향수 사용도에 따른 소비자집단별 특성을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship among the frequency of perfume usage and perfume attitude. perfume consuming behaviors and demographies. The data were collected from 352 female college students using questionnaire. Three groups including Large amount users(30.1%), Medium amount users(33.8%), and Small amount users(36.1%) were identified by the frequency of perfume usage. The results were summarized as follows : 1. There were significant differences on perfume attitudes and perfume consuming behaviors among the three groups. The more they use perfume, the more they feel pleasure and self-confidence. Most subjects preferred overseas prestige and popular perfume. And they obtained perfume informations through magazine ads and article. 2. There were significant differences demographic characteristics among the three groups. The older and the higher social status frequently used perfume. This study will provide useful marketing data and implications for activation of domestic perfume market.

  • As one of promising solutions to overcome high oil price and energy crisis, the construction market of high value-added LNG plants is spotlighted world widely. The purpose of this study is to introduce LNG-RBI system to develop risk assessment technology with RAM(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) modules against overseas monopolization. After analyzing relevant specific features and their technical levels, risk assessment program, non-destructive reliability evaluation strategy and safety criteria unification class are derived as core technologies. These IT-based convergence technologies can be used for enhancement of LNG plant efficiency, in which the modular parts are related to a system with artificial optimized algorithms as well as diverse databases of facility inspection and diagnosis fields.

  • The highest priority for passenger safety should be system performance guarantee in LRT(Light Rail Transit) based on a fully-automated manless metro system. In order to realize spotless manless automatic operating system through system performance guarantee, the role of SE(Systems Engineering) is of utmost importance. Currently, SE initiatives for local LRT projects are not cost-effective and heavily dependent on overseas firms due mostly to the lack of knowledge and experience in SE. This paper aims to review the appropriateness of cases of SE implementation on the basis of LRT projects either in progress or in the introduction stage to local market by examining, comparing and analyzing the applied cases.

  • Recently it is a tendency that Diesel rolling stock is committing in the commuter's train route of the suburb for solving commuting traffic congestion. It has advantage which expense of diesel rolling stock is relatively cheaper than electric rail car or high-speed train. In addition, it can be using the exist route without large-scale facility investment. Because of this advantage, the demand of diesel rolling stock occupy regular portion from overseas railway car market. GM/RT 2100 specifies the loads vehicle bodies shall be capable of withstanding, identifies how material data shall be used and presents the principles to be used for design verification by analysis. Therefore, in order to fulfill the structural requirements, Rotem Company has carried out Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to verify whether the carbody structure has enough strength to withstand the loads specified by GM/RT 2100.   • This research has suggested a method to select pipe wall thickness by application of the value engineering to reduce the cost and quantity that are major part of construction materials. This research shows that the application of value engineering reduces the cost of piping materials by optimizing pipe wall thickness while maintaining process flow date of design pressure and design temperature. Based on this knowledge, the application of the value engineering will lead to the cost reduction and quantity reduction by effective selection of pipe wall thickness. The application of the value engineering will help the EPC companies to win a contract in the overseas plant market.

  • We propose a composite make or buy decision model considering both the transaction cost theory and the resource based view in the Korean defense industry using System Dynamics. We analyze relationship between core variables(transaction frequency, technological uncertainty, the level of technological dependency, technological level and acquisition ability for market information) and 'Make or Buy decision' focused on technological innovation capability. Based on the result, we propose the implications as follows : First, the defence industry needs more R&D investment. Second, it needs a balance between domestic(Make) and overseas(Buy) to increase the technological capability rapidly.

  • Various export supporting systems of Korean government have affected Korean economy to be 13th in the world and over US$ seven hundred trillion in terms of the volume. Especially, export insurance system use to cover the commercial risks of Korean exporter. That is why Korean exporter have been able to do their best in exporting and expand overseas market actively. On the other hand, China who use to drive strong export expansion policy after joining WTO, have also very focused on export insurance system and developed its applicable items. From the point of view above, It is very meaningful study to compare the export insurance system between Korea and China. It is suggested that government funds for export insurance should be raised to give exporters more benefits. New kinds of export insurance items, also, should be developed to actively face international trade environment change.

  • This paper estimated the demand and supply of physicians for oriental medicine for the period of $2009{\sim}2019$. Two equation models were used in the estimation of manpower. In 2004, the total number of physicians of oriental medicine was amounted to 13,662 registered and 10,532 available in clinical practice, respectively. According to estimates in the study, overall excess supply of physician manpower in oriental medicine was expected in the period, such as $5,300{\sim}5,700$ persons in 2009 and $900{\sim}1,700$ persons in 2019. However, the excess supply would be mitigated after 2019 mainly due to an increase in demand for oriental medical services. Specially, opening medical service market to overseas could be an exogenous variable in physician supply. An alternative manpower policy for oriental medical doctors is needed in a way of controlling oversupply.
