순환수 펌프용 고압전동기 고정자 권선의 절연내력 평가 (Estimation of Dielectric Strength in High Voltage Motor Stator Windings for Circulating Water Pump)

  • To assess the deterioration condition of stator insulation, diagnostic and overpotential tests were performed on two high voltage(HV) motors for circulating water pump (CWP). Following the long term rewinding program, the diagnostic test was performed on two motors during the planning maintenance period. After completing the diagnostic test, overpotential test was done on the stator windings of HV motors. During the overpotential test, the No. 1 and No. 2 of HV motors failed at 8.8 kV and 7.9 kV, respectively. Stator windings of two HV motors had deteriorated significantly.

과전압 거동 분석을 통한 리튬 금속 음극의 전착/탈리 현상 이해 (A Review on the Deposition/Dissolution of Lithium Metal Anodes through Analyzing Overpotential Behaviors)

  • 리튬이온전지의 성능과 안전성을 뛰어넘는 다양한 차세대전지 개발이 진행되고 있다. 특히, 흑연을 대신할 고용량 음극 소재로 리튬 금속을 사용하는 연구는 여전히 활발히 이뤄지고 있지만, 높은 충전 전류 밀도에서 형성되는 덴드라이트는 리튬 금속 전극 상용화에 가장 큰 걸림돌이다. 이에 따라, 전해질 첨가제, 보호막 도입, 리튬 형상 제어 등 다양한 접근법으로 덴드라이트 문제를 개선하기 위한 연구가 진행되어 왔으며, 중요한 실험 결과 중 하나로서 가장 많이 보고되는 것이 리튬 대칭셀을 이용한 과전압 거동 분석이다. 이 과전압 거동은 크게 세 단계로 구분될 수 있지만, 대부분의 연구에서는 단순히 제어 변수에 따른 과전압 감소나 대칭셀 수명 차이로 각 접근법이 덴드라이트 형성 제어에 효과적임을 주장하고 있다. 또한, 각 과전압 거동을 자세히 살펴보면, 리튬 핵 생성 및 성장되는 전착 과정이나 탈리 조건에 크게 영향을 받고 있음에도, 이에 대한 해석은 제한적으로 이뤄지고 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 전착/탈리 과정이 장기간 반복됨에 따라, Dead 리튬 형성으로 인한 물질전달 제한이 과전압에 영향을 주고 있음이 명확히 언급되고 있지 않다. 따라서, 본 총설에서는 이러한 리튬 대칭셀 과전압 분석에 있어, 각 과전압 거동에 대한 이론적 배경을 자세히 설명하고, 전해질 조성, 분리막, 리튬 형상 제어, 리튬 표면 개질에 따른 과전압 거동 분석 결과를 재조명한다.

  • In this paper a mathematical model, the results of computer simulation and exprimental investigations of electrochemical machining with a too-electrode are presented. The experimental investigations were carried out in order to evaluate the influence of working voltage, initial interelectrode gap size, and metal remove rate. Accuracy of computer simulation evaluated by differences between results of experimental test and computer simulation depends on electrochemical machining coefficient, total overpotential of electrode process, current density, electrical conductivity of electrolyte, and etc. Metal removal rate would be predicted by the simulation of ECM process.

6.6 kV 전동기 고정자 권선의 절연진단과 절연파괴 특성 (Characteristics of Insulation Diagnosis and Failure in 6.6 kV Motor Stator Windings)

  • To assess the condition of stator insulation, nondestructive and overpotential tests were performed on four high voltage motors. The stator windings under these tests have nominal ratings of 6.6 kV. After completing nondestructive tests, the AC overvoltage applied to the stator windings was gradually increasing until insulation failure in order to obtain the breakdown voltage. No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 of 6.6 kV motors failed near rated voltage of 18.4 kV, 19.8 kV, 19.7 kV and 21.7 kV, respectively. The breakdown voltage of four motors was higher that expected for good quality coils(14.2 kV) in 6.6 kV motors. Almost all of failures were located in a line-end coil at the exit from the core slot. The breakdown voltages and the types of defects showed strong relation to the stator insulation tests such as in the case of AC current, dissipation factor($tan{\delta}$) and partial discharge magnitude.

  • 수용액계에서 정극활물질의 안정성을 1 M LiOH 용액에서 Tafel plot를 통해서 측정하였으며, 이 때 $LiM_xMn_{2-x}O_4$(x=0.05~0.1) 전극은 100 mA에서 0.13~0.15 mV의 과전압으로 $LiMn_2O_4$ 전극보다 0.05 mV가 낮은 과전압을 나타냈다. 또한 전위변화에 따른 전해질의 전도도는 $LiM_xMn_{2-x}O_4$가 스피넬 구조의 $LiMn_2O_4$보다 높고 나타났으며, $Mn^{+2}$의 용해에 의한 용액저항은 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다.

  • 본 연구에서는 1M $LiClO_4/PC$ 유기 용액 중에 존재하는 리튬 이온의 층간 반응에 의하여 전기 발색 현상을 나타내는 전자-선 증발법으로 제조된 비정질의 텅스텐 산화물 박막과 전해질 계면에서의 전기화학적 특성들을 연구하기 위하여 음극 Tafel 분극법, 순환 전류-전위법 및 전기량 적정법 등의 전기화학 측정법과 X선 회절 분석법을 이용한 박막의 결정 상태 조사 등이 수행되었다. 특히 다중 순환 전류-전위 곡선으로부터 리튬 이온의 층간 반응은 발색 반응에 대한 인가 과전압이 약 1.0V 이내에서는 안정된 소 발색의 가역적 현상을 나타내었으나, 발색 반응에 대한 인가 과전압이 1.5V일 때는 발색 시 삽입된 박막 내부의 리튬이 소색 시 완전히 빠져 나오지 못하여, 박막 내부에 리튬이 축적되는 현상을 나타내었으며, 적은 순환 횟수임에도 불구하고 소 발색의 전류 밀도가 감소되는 것이 조사되어 발색에 필요한 인가 과전압의 한계가 존재함을 알 수 있었다.

  • The effect of Co addition on the electrochemical performance and structural stability of porous Ni anode for molten carbonate fuel cell(MCFC) was evaluated by the anodic polarization and the sintering test in the simulated MCFC anode condition ($650^{\circ}C$, 80% $H_2$+20%$CO_2$). The anode current density ranged from 110mA/$cm^2$ to 144mA/$cm^2$ was obtained at +100mV overpotential by additions of Co up to 10 wt.%. The sintering resistance of Ni-Co anodes was higher than that of the pure Ni anode. The increase of sintering resistance seemed to be to the lower diffusion coefficient of Co than that of Ni.

ALBC3 합금의 수소과전압 현상을 이용한 캐비테이션과 전기화학적 특성 (Cavitation and Electrochemical Characteristics Using Hydrogen Overpotential Method for ALBC3 Alloy)

  • In this study, the cavitation test and electrochemical experiments were conducted for ALBC3(Cu-Al) alloy that has an excellent corrosion resistance and cavitation characteristic in sea water. Based on the ASTMG32 regulation, the cavitation test was performed with the cavitation and cavitation erosion tester using piezoelectric effect. The electrochemical characteristics are evaluated with potentiostatic experiments in activation polarization potential range. As a result, cavitation damage is increased proportionally to temperature and time at $30{\mu}m$ amplitude. It is appeared that acceleration period in weight loss presented over 6 hours under the cavitation environment in sea water. In addition, corrosion damages were observed at the potential range of -3.2~-1.4 V as the result of potensiostatic experiments during 12 hours in activation polarization potential range.

  • Nickel-matal hydride(Ni-MH) batteries are receiving attention as non-pollunting. high performance rehargeable energy stoage system. The performance of Ni-Mh is significantly influenced by the hydrogen storage alloy materiels used as an anode material. Recently, having discharge capacities higher than the $AB_5$-type hydrogen storage alloys, the Zr-based $AB_2$-Type hydrogen storage alloys has remaining problems regarding cycle life and self-dischareg. These problems need to be solved by improvements in the alloy design and/or surface treatment. This work investiggates the effects the effects of surface property by fluorination on $Zr_{0.7}Ti_{0.3}V_{0.4}Mn_{0.4}Ni{1.2}$ composittion $AB_2$-Type hydrogen storage alloys. EPMA, SEM and AES techniques were used for surface analysis, and the crystal structure was characterized by constant current cycling test and potential sweep methods. Fluorination was found to be effective when La-was incorporated into the alloy, and has unique morphology, higher reactivity, and at the same time formed a protective film. Through, fluorination, the cycle life of an electrode was found to increase significantly, charge/discharge characteristics of the electrode the potential difference between the charge/discharge plateau, i.e polarization(overpotential)were improved.

Electrochemical stability of La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ as a cathode for SOFC

  • Electrochemical measurement using a LSCF6428 electrode was performed to estimate the oxygen potential gradient in the electrode layer and a long time stability test was performed by applied potential to learn the overpotential effect on the LSCF6428 electrode. By fitting the observed impedance spectra, it was obtained that the amount of faradic current decreased with distance from cathode/electrolyte interface. Oxygen potential gradient was estimated to occur within 1 um region from the cathode/electrolyte interface at an oxygen partial pressure of 10-1 bar. The segregation of cation rich phases in the LSCF6428 electrode suggests that kinetic decomposition took place. However, impedance response after applying the potential showed no changes in the electrode compared with before applying potential. The obtained results suggest that segregation of a secondary phase in a LSCF6428 cathode is not related to performance degradation for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).
