The purpose of this study was to interpret modeling-based elementary science lessons from a perspective of distributed cognition. Data sources included three consecutive elementary science lessons dealing with particle models of gases and students' worksheet generated from modeling activities during the lessons. The data were analyzed in ways that could reveal the affordances and constraints of students' mental models and an external model in the science textbook, as well as the evolution of the models. The results showed that the students' mental models and the external model provided both affordances for and constraints to scientific problem solving and that the models evolved in the process of overcoming the constraints. Implications for science lessons and science education research were suggested.

The situation of unification has been changing in the rapid speed. In this condion it is most important that we understand North Korea's current situation correctly, by overcoming the differences between South and North Korea and trying to pursuit the national homogeneity. One of the most effective ways to understand North Korea is to understand their education. So, I wrote this thesis as a way of getting ready for the united Korea by konwing mathematics texts and their system, composition, contents of junior high school in North Korea Anyway, I hope that this study will be helpful to the integration of mathematics education after unification of North and South

For an enterprise to survive in extremely competitive world, it had better to down budget and resource of unimportant fields so that the enterprise can concentrate resources on the strong field. Nowadays in Korea, it is important to research outsourcing for strengthen the competitive power in apparel maker because of recent depression. The questionnaire was composed of 14 factors about outsourcing effect. The questionnaires were selected for finial analysis 67 apparel makers in Pusan and Seoul and data was analysed by using paired t-test by SPSS program. Almost of apparel makers (85.07%) has been outsourced the sewing process to contractor or vendor. Outsourcing in this case is marked lower effect than insourcing except reducing cost, economy of time and overcoming internal resources. This means that our outsourcing has been progressed with so many risk. If we have research the successful outsourcing and have a strategic vision and plan with vendor and product mutually beneficial relationship, we can share the risk and creating new business synergies through outsourcing.

In many industries, the accurate and quick checking of goods in storage is of great importance. Most today's inventory checking is based on bar code scanning, but the relative position between a bar code and an optical scanner should be maintained in close distance and proper angle for the successful scanning. This requirement makes it difficult to fully automate the inventory information/control systems. The use of RFID technology can be a solution for overcoming this problem. The mobile robot presented in this paper is equipped with an RFID tag scanning system, that automates the otherwise manual or semi-automatic inventory checking process. We designed the robot system in a quite practical approach, and the developed system is close to the commercialization stage. In our experiments, the robot could collect information of goods stacked on shelves autonomously without any failure and maintain corresponding database while it navigated predefined paths between the shelves using vision.

This study aimed at uncovering the experience of adaptation of the new nursing staff in hospital setting. Methods: For this study, 15 new graduate nurses participated. The data was collected through the in-dept interviews and analysed in terms of Strauss and Corbin′s grounded theory methodology. Results: The core category was identified with "entering orbit". The new graduate nurses, who experienced the taeoom because of their unskilled professions, tried to enter orbit by overcoming difficult situations through reducing stress, maintaining good interpersonal relationship, grasping, compensating, persisting, and introspecting. Noticeably, in the process of adaptation, negative image of nursing, conflict of interpersonal relationship and the educational program for the new nursing staff had effect on the intervening factors. Finally, this study confirmed that the processes of new nurses′ adaptation are confusing, confrontating, becoming a member and settling in hospital setting. Conclusion: Therefore, the educational programs reflecting new nursing staffs′ experiences should be developed.

A bioremediation of petroleum-contaminated soil in Korea was evaluated for the optimization of enhanced biodegradation and the minimization of effects of seasonal variations, The short-term bioremediation in combination of biopile pretreatment and landfarming was performed by lowering contaminated levels and overcoming the inhibiting factors in the rainy and winter seasons. A microbial density was maintained with indigenous microbial addition for bioaugmentation and with fertilizers for biostimulation. A lesser volatile and biodegradable fraction due to their abiotic removals following the biopile pretreatment was effectively removed by the laterally applied landfarming. The optimal temperature in greenhouse was maintained by buffering of the soil temperature even with slight decreases in removal rates during the winter and extensive leaching of nutrients and contaminants was restricted with adjusting the water contents during the Korean rainy season. Although the tilling process was effective for biodegradation with aeration only, the simultaneous treatment due to apparent mixing of nutrients and microbes more favorably degraded the petroleum than the sequential treatment.

Now the one of problems of digital culture contents industry in korean region is to focus only on small company in the related industry. So a plan for overcoming this is a cultivation of leading company in this industry. Thus, in this paper, we tried to make an importance level between the related industries including this leading company by the AHP analysis. For achieving the objective of this paper, first of all, this study yielded the relative importance between the industries as the quantitative values. As the result of this analysis, the important factor in this leading company is 'creation' factor and this paper proposed the basic results for cultivating the leading companies for the future time.

According to the rapid development of digital technology, the free formed buildings with complex and various curved surfaces are being constructed. Most of the external cladding of free formed buildings have been applied materials such as metal, glass, FRP, GFRC, etc. However, these materials have many disadvantages such as a complicated manufacturing process for realizing 3D irregular shape and an increase in production period and cost. Therefore, the studies for UHPC which is an optimized material for overcoming this problem for a long time in overseas. This study reviewed the remodeling construction of Samsung-dong KEB Hana Bank appling the exterior curved UHPC panel for the first time in Korea. As a result, we confirmed the possibility of UHPC panels with various free formed shapes.

The finite element method (FEM) is typically used in the process of motor design. However, the FEM requires computation time, Therefore, decreasing the number of FEM simulations may also decrease the simulation cost. Several optimal design methods overcoming this problem have been recently studied. This paper investigates the optimal design of the magnet pole of a BLDC motor through reducing simulation cost. The optimization minimizes the magnet volume and limits the average and cogging torques to certain values. In this paper, the response surface methodology and Taguchi's table for reducing the number of FEM simulations are used to approximate two constraints. The optimization result shows that the presented strategy is satisfactorily performed.

This paper presents a stereo vision based autonomous inspection system for welding quality control of a RV(Recreational Vehicle) sinking seat. The three dimensional geometry of the welding bead, which is the welding quality criteria, is measured by using the captured stereo images with a median filter applied on it. The image processing software for the system was developed using the NI LabVTEW software with NI vision system. In the manufacturing process of a RV sinking seat, the developed system can be used for overcoming the precision error that arises from a visible inspection by an operator. The welding quality inspection system for RV sinking seat was verified using experimentation.
