연소기에서의 다단 저 NOx 버너의 수치 및 실험적 연구 (Numerical & Experimental Study For Burner of Low NOx Formation of Multi-Stage In a Combustor)

  • Air pollution included Nitric Oxide(NOx) from heating boilers is increased by pursuing better life. Development of low NOx emission boiler is strongly needed. However commercial burner for heating boiler is also asked to be thermal efficient and low-cost manufactuable in addition to low NOx emission. Small space for combustor including burner is usually allowed. In this study, parametric study of compact low NOx burner for heating boiler was done using numerical analysis and experiments. Commerical computational fluid dynamic(CFD) program named CFX 5-6 was used for numerical analysis of low NOx burner using turbulent diffusion flame. Comparison of outlet NO and outlet temperature under various equivalence ratio and fuel flow rate was performed between experiment and numerical analysis.

공급 유량 및 당량비 변화에 따른 초소형 가스터빈 연소실 내 수소/공기 연소의 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Study of Hydrogen/Air Combustion in Combustion Chamber of Ultra Micro Gas Turbine by Change of Flow Rate and Equivalence Ratio)

  • 본 연구에서는 초소형 가스터빈 연소기에서의 수소/공기 연소에 대한 수치해석을 연소기 입구에서의 공급 유량 및 유체의 수소/공기 혼합비 변화에 대하여 수행하였다. 수치해석은 상용화 프로그램인 STAR-CCM 을 이용하였다. 유체의 공급 유량의 변화는 연소기 내 화염의 위치와 온도, 입구와 출구의 압력비 등에 상당한 영향을 주었다. 유체의 공급 유량이 증가할 때, 연소기 내의 화염은 점점 출구 방향으로 위치하였고, 화염의 온도 및 입구와 출구의 압력비는 단조적으로 증가하였다. 유체의 수소/공기 혼합비 변화는 화염의 위치에는 큰 영향을 주지 않았고, 이론공연 상태에서 연소실 내에 가장 높은 화염온도를 가졌다.

소형 선박용 디젤엔진의 수냉식 인터쿨러 해석 연구 (A Study on Simulation of an Water Cooling Intercooler for a Small Marine Diesel Engine)

  • This study was carried out to improve the design of an intercooler for a small marine diesel engine. Diesel engines for small marine ships have mainly been developed by changing the structure of the vehicle engine. Sea water was most commonly used in the intercooler of small marine diesel engines to cool the hot air compressed by the turbocharger. In this study, the intercooler is modeled and simulated using STAR-CCM+ in order to find optimal data for the design of an intercooler. In the results, the temperature differences between the data from a numerical analysis and experimental data were $0.38^{\circ}C$ in the hot air outlet and $3.63^{\circ}C$ in the cooling water outlet. Therefore, it was confirmed that both analysis and experimental results need to be considered when designing an intercooler. A closer degree of similarity in the two datasets can improve the confidence in the design of these intercoolers.

압축기 출구 물분사가 있는 재생 가스터빈 시스템의 성능해석 (Performance Analysis of Regenerative Gas Turbine System with Afterfogging)

  • A performance analysis of the regenerative gas turbine system with afterfogging is carried out. Because of the high temperature at the outlet of air compressor, afterfogging has a potential of improved recuperation of exhaust heat than inlet fogging. Thermodynamic analysis model of the gas turbine system is developed by using an ideal gas assumption. Using the model, the effects of pressure ratio, water injection ratio, and ambient temperature are investigated parametrically on thermal efficiency and specific power of the cycle. The dependency of pressure ratio giving peak thermal efficiency is also investigated. The results of numerical computation for the typical cases show that the regenerative gas turbine system with afterfogging can make a notable enhancement of thermal efficiency and specific power. In addition, the peak thermal efficiency is shown to decrease almost linearly with ambient temperature.

  • Recent year, mean energy consumptions of a people are higher than other country. And international oil price became over 120 dollar. This energy environment as well as energy war. Maybe, the Meteorological Administration is going to enforce scorching heatwave special report system from that come summer. Besides, 2008 summer, maximum demand power is expected by 64,240,000kW. The electric power equipment reserve rate appeared in to keep 12.5% level. Chilled water storage system witch is one of electric load administration system. Heat pump system used cooling tower heat recovery is advantage that use is possible to summer in small a public bath building. In this paper, we suggest that heat pump system by heat recovery using cooling tower when it is heating operation of ambient air temperature. To apply cooling tower heat recovery heat pump to chilled water heat storage type and achieved performance evaluation about operation. As a result, performance of heat pump system that about 121% in cooling mode, 138% in heating mode higher than KEPCO standard. And heating operation possible to ambient air temperature about $23^{\circ}C$, which of appear cooling tower outlet temperature about $13^{\circ}C$.

  • Modern people spend more and more time in an automobile in their daily life. In this life, drivers and passengers should create HVAC environment in the automobile interior which is not only for convenient transportation but also give comfortable feeling with dwelling culture. Also, the latest cars give much importance for the role of HVAC system that controls the environment of the area for passengers more than just basic capability. There are solar radiant heat, surface temperature, refrigeration system(temperature, humidity, air current, velocity), and dust for the factor which have an effect on the HVAC environment in the automobile interior, also these are being carried for the HVAC environment delivered an individual character. In this study, we drew the automobile interior as three dimension and arranged a method of numerical analysis on HVAC environment in the automobile interior displaying air current distribution and temperature distribution through simulation of the automobile interior on the ventilation volume and outlet area. The aim of this study is to develop the estimated method for HVAC environment. in the automobile interior.

국내 이유자돈사 환기시설 실태 조사 (The Survey for Ventilation Systems of Weaned Pig House in Korea)

  • This survey was conducted to give the basic information for ventilation systems of weaned pig house to establish the acceptable ventilation system in Korea. A total of 11 farms were surveyed in this study and 1 more farm in each province was regionally selected. The general information, inlet and outlet ventilation system, alley in house, space allowance of weaned pigs and manure management were surveyed. Space allowance of weaned pig in 82% of surveyed farms met the legal standard. Side wall inlet and outlet ventilation system were 82% and 73% of surveyed farms, respectively. Moreover, 73% farms have alley in the pig house to control temperature of inlet air. In this survey, both planar slot and circular duct inlet system and side wall fan outlet system could be a favorable ventilation system in weaned pig house.

무균돈사내 급배기구의 적정위치설정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Proper Location of Ventilation Outlets and Inlets in the Germ Free Pigs' Room)

  • Construction and operation of Germ Free Pigs' facilities are very expensive because pigs' rooms and other major rooms of the facility require germfree environments. Especially, running the HVAC system of aseptic facilities requires a lot of expenses. However, proper location and efficient shape of outlets/inlets for the ventilation of the room can reduce the excessive running cost. In order to do that, this study proposes alternative location and shape of ventilation outlets/inlets to the existing design pattern in germfree pigs' room. The design condition of this study is the maintenance of adequate temperature(24$^{\circ}C$, $NH_3$concentration level(below 1.5 ppm), and air stream speed(below .25m/sec) in the pigs' room for the summer and the winter together. As the Software Program, FLUENT(Ver. 6.2) has been used for the analysis of proposed ventilation patterns. In conclusion, wall inlets and ceiling inlet/outlet are advisable in summer, wall inlets and ceiling outlets is advisable in winter. As far as the shape is concerned, diffuser type for the ceiling outlet is desirable.

공기조화기내 메쉬삽입 물-공기 직접접촉의 열전달 특성 연구 (Air Handling Unit Utilizing Water/Air Direct Contact Heat Exchanger with Mesh)

  • The objective of this research was to investigate the enhancement of heat transfer by mesh in water/air direct contact air conditioning system. Mesh is inserted as a turbulent promoter in front of the water injection nozzle. The heat transfer characteristics with and without mesh and the effect of the number of inserted mesh and mesh porosity size have been studied experimentally. Inserted mesh improves heat transfer efficiency compared to non~inserted mesh system and heat transfer efficiency increased as the number of mesh is increased. Meanwhile, heat transfer efficiency decreased as the porosity of the mesh is increased. With inserted mesh, inlet and outlet temperature difference of air increased more than 50%. Heat exchange time of water/air to reach the 100% humidity decreased less than 30%. This result shows inserted mesh can enhance the performance of the water/air direct contact air conditioning system.

셀 입구 예열방법에 따른 가압형 고체산화물 연료전지/가스터빈 하이브리드 시스템의 성능 비교 해석 (Comparative Performance Analysis of Pressurized Solid Oxide Fuel Cell / Gas Turbine Hybrid Systems Considering Different Cell Inlet Preheating Methods)

  • Design analysis of the solid oxide fuel cell and gas turbine combined power system is performed considering different methods for preheating cell inlet air. The purpose of air preheating is to keep the temperature difference between cell inlet and outlet within a practical design range thus to reduce thermal stress inside the cell. Three different methods considered are (1) adopting a burner in front of the cell, (2) adopting a preheater (heat transfer from the main combustor) in front of the cell and (3) using recirculation of the cathode exit gas. For each configuration, analyses are carried out for two values of allowable maximum cell temperature difference. Performance characteristics of all cases are compared and design limitations are discussed. Relaxation of the cell temperature difference (larger difference) is proved to ensure higher efficiency. Recirculation of the cathode exit gas exhibits better performance than other methods and this advantage becomes more prominent as the constraint of the cell temperature difference becomes more severe (smaller temperature difference).
