This study was conducted to understand the sensory characteristics and consumer acceptance for the commercially available clear broth for noodles. Totally, eight different clear broth samples were evaluated in this study. Seven trained panelists developed and evaluated sensory characteristics in the descriptive analysis. Significant differences (p<0.05) were obtained for all 28 attributes evaluated. Descriptive data was obtained by performing multivariate analysis of variance to identify differences between samples. Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed on the mean values of descriptive attributes obtained in the descriptive analysis, and summarizes the sensory characteristics of clear broth for noodles. PCA of the clear broths revealed that the first two principal components are responsible for 80.66% variations. For sensory testing, 160 consumers were recruited, and their acceptance for each sample was assessed. Consumer data was obtained by applying partial least square-regression (PLSR) to establish the relationship between the descriptive data and the consumer acceptance data.
Crowdsourcing models in which organizaions obtain needed product ideas and services from a crowd in a network-based society are rising as a global industry trend. The purpose of this study was to figure out the types and characteristics of crowdsourcing design shown in the domestic fashion brands, and to provide implications for design strategies using crowdsourcing. This study was based on qualitative research which was brand case studies on crowdsourcing design in the fashion industry from January 2006 to July 2017. Also, quantitative analysis using frequency and percentage was applied. The results were as follows: First, crowdsourcing design was used in almost all types of fashion brands, such as sports and outdoor wear, men's wear, women's wear, men's and women's casual wear, shoes, bags, school uniforms, jeans, accessories, etc. Crowdsourcing design in the fashion industry was classified into three types: crowdsourcing graphics and artwork; crowdsourcing customized designs; and crowdsourcing product designs. Of the three types, crowdsourcing graphics and artwork was used most. There were four methods to choose the best crowsourced design: review only by experts, voting by crowd and review by experts, crowdvoting, and crowdfunding. Second, the characteristics of crowdsourcing design were openness, participation, reward and acknowledgement, sharing and interaction, and individualized collective intelligence. Crowdsourcing design could be used as an open innovation strategy in the fashion industry, which could collect new and creative design ideas for product development, resulting in the satisfaction of consumers and benefitting the company.

This paper presents performance improvement of CO gas sensor signal conditioner for early fire warning system. The warning system is based on the CO sensor and its advanced signal conditioning modules network that employ electochemical gas sensor. The electochemical has advantage of having a linear output and operating with a low consumption and fast response. This electrochemical gas sensor contains a gas membrane and three electrodes(working, counter, reference electrode) in contact with an electrolyte. To use a three-electrode sensor, a voltage has to be applied between the working and the reference electrode according to the specification of the sensor. In this paper, we designed these requirements that should be considered in temperature compensation algorithm and electrode measurement of CO sensor modules by using advanced signal conditioning method included 3-electrode. Simulation and experimental results show that signal conditioner of CO sensor module using 3-electrode have a advantage linearity, sensitivity and stability, fast response etc..

Today, the need for alternative energy has increased due to the global environmental problems and energy depletion. In order to solve a global environmental matter and an energy issue simultaneously, the application of the renewable energies in building has been constantly demanded. therefore, we must develop new energy resources that are abundant and provide substitutes for fossil fuels and we must study the application method of the renewable energies in building. Among renewable energies, the solar energy(photovoltaic system) is clean, inexhaustible, and available everywhere in the world and is judged to have the application possibility in building. Daegu city has a plan of putting a photovoltaic system on large buildings. For instance, EXCO, exhibition and convention building, and dormitory in Kyungpook National University, Dongho elementary school, Osan building in Keimyung University, Young korea academy in Daegu, are on the process of having a photovoltaic system. Therefore a study on the performance of photovoltaic system is important for the system design and maintenance. this paper describes the first invest cost, and performance test of the 95kW utility-interactive photovoltaic power system.

The environment and energy related problem has become one of the most important global issues in recent years. One of the most effective ways of improving the fuel efficiency of automobiles is the weight reduction. In order to obtain this goal the hydroforming technology has been adapting for the high strength steel and its application is being widened. In present study, the chassis components (mainly cross members of engine cradle) simulation and development by hydroforming technology to apply high strength steel having tensile strength of 440 MPa grade is studied. In the part design stage, it requires feasibility study and process design aided by CAE (Computer Aided Design) to confirm hydroformability in details. Overall possibility of hydroformable chassis parts could be examined by cross sectional analyses. Moreover, it is essential to ensure the formability of tube material on every forming step such as pre-bending, performing and hydroforming. In the die design stage, all the components of prototyping tool were designed and interference with press was investigated from the point of geometry and thinning.
Recently, product mobility, data compatibility and communication connectivity have become very important to the control system, depending on the application of smart manufacturing. Accordingly, embedded systems are essential in all industries including home appliances, telecommunication, and national defense. Therefore, the demand for embedded system development personnel is increasing further, and education and training programs are needed to combine the practical skills of industrial sites, including programming skills and hardware. Currently, embedded system education offers a variety of education centered on Aduino, but this is mostly for beginners and is not sufficient for majors. In addition, while various prototype studies related to embedded systems are active, the training and training programs for working-level human resources needed at industrial sites are very scarce. Therefore, in order to foster the working personnel of the embedded system for the application of smart manufacturing, this paper selected the capability unit through in-depth interviews and survey analysis of 10 experts based on NCS, and developed education and training programs and contents.
This qualitative study analyzed various environmental factors and difficulties faced by school foodservices during the COVID-19 pandemic. Focus group interviews were conducted by enrolling 12 nutrition teachers and nutritionists. Data collected were subsequently analyzed for changes implemented during the pandemic, in hygiene management, diet management, and distribution management of the school meal. The content and method of delivery of information related to diet guidance and school foodservice by related organizations were also examined. Results of the survey show that personal hygiene (such as maintaining student-to-student distance, checking students for a fever, and hand disinfection) was duly applied, installation of table coverings and distancing between school cafeteria seats were conducted, and mandatory mask-wearing to prevent droplet transmission was enforced. Depending on the COVID-19 situation, the number of students having school meals was limited per grade, and time-spaced meals were provided. To prevent infection, menus that required frequent hand contact were excluded from the meal plan. Overall, it was difficult to manage the meal plan due to frequent changes in tasks, such as the number of orders and meal expenses. These changes were communicated by nutrition teachers and nutritionists wherein the numbers of school meals were adjusted, depending on situations arising from each COVID-19 crisis stage. Furthermore, in some schools, either face-to-face nutrition counseling was stopped entirely, or nutrition education was conducted online. Parent participation was disallowed in the monitoring of school meals, and the prohibition on conversations inside the school cafeteria resulted in the absence of communication among students, nutrition teachers, and nutritionists. Additionally, confusion in meal management was caused by frequent changes in the school meal management guidelines provided by the Office of Education and the School Health Promotion Center in response to COVID-19. In anticipation of the emergence of a new virus or infectious diseases caused by mutations in the years to come, it is suggested that a holistic, well-thought-out response manual for safe meal operation needs to be established, in close collaboration with schools and school foodservice-related institutions.

This study analyzed the characteristics of spaces to and from which middle school students transfer, especially centering around the school districts of Southern area in Gyeonggi Province such as Suwon, Osan, Yongin, and Hwaseong. This study was conducted to provide the suggestions regarding educational policies such as the positioning to appropriate school districts, improving of educational environment, and implementing of educational equity, by analyzing, based on the empirical data, the educational spaces of four cities showing rapid population growth due to recent suburbanization. The characteristics of distribution of variables such as schools for each district affecting the student transfer, housing development, and socioeconomics in the research object region are mainly analyzed through the correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and cluster analysis. As a result, there is shown a distinct spatial difference between school districts of the cty downtown and urban fringe, and between school districts of the conventional cities(cities that have been from the past: note of translator) and new land development regions. First, the school districts in the city downtown showed lots of transfers between neighboring school districts, while the school districts in the urban fringes showed transfer-out tendencies strongly. Second, it was the new land development regions where the transfer-in rate is the highest in the Southern area of Gyeonggi Province. Third, the said new land development regions required the supply of educational installations and educational support that can meet educational demands, since these regions have relatively lower qualitied educational environments compared to the conventional cities where the fluidity of students is lower. Fourth, in the summary of all of the said three results, the student transfer in the southern area of Gyeonggi Province was shown in the spaces centering around the multi-core area by reflecting the restructuring of suburban area.
Purpose: This is a descriptive research to examine the levels of ADL, self efficacy, and life satisfaction of elderly institution residents, and the relations among the factors. Method: Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of elders aged over 65 at nursing homes in 9 areas throughout the country. Measures were the physical function scale, the general self efficacy scale, and LSI Z. Collected data were analyzed using SAS/PC11.0. Result: First, the mean levels of ADL, self efficacy, and life satisfaction were 2.83 (0.85), 2.79 (0.63), and 1.18 (0.42). Second, the relations among three factors were showed positive correlations. Third, (1) The level of ADL was statistically significantly different according to health condition, religious activity, volunteer activity, and friend meeting. (2) The level of self efficacy was statistically significantly different according to health condition, source of help, religious activity, volunteer activity, friend meeting, and elderly school & senior center. (3) The level of life satisfaction was statistically significantly different according to health condition, source of help, religious activity, volunteer activity, friend meeting, and elderly school & senior center. Conclusion: Conclusively, it is required to enhance ADL and self-efficacy in order to improve elderly institution residents’ life satisfaction.
Volar rotatory dislocation of the proximal interphalangeal joint(PIP) of the finger is rare. We report a female judo player who had volar rotatory dislocation of the PIP joint of the middle finger. She had dislocation of PIP joint total 4 times. At operation, the central tendon was identified as being distension, with the ulnar collateral ligament ruptured. The ruptured ulnar collateral ligament was interposed within the joint. The ruptured ulnar collateral ligament was repaired and extensor expansion was repaired. At last follow-up, she didn't have recurrent dislocation during judo. Accurate diagnosis, early intervention and progressive rehabilitation of this injury are very important as other dislocations.
