This article reports that a testee's content schemata have detrimental effects on the validity of standardized reading comprehension tests. in case that the reading passages constitute his prior background knowledge framed by regular academic pursuits focused on a major field of study. The empirical research findings on such a reliability issue have shown that the Korean subjects' familiarity with the content domain of the reading materials may substantially enhance their test performance, operated as unfair advantages over the other participants at the same level of English proficiency who do not possess technical knowledge closely related to the contents of the test passages. Based on these results, it may be argued that the reading text should be composed of maximally neutral contents to every testee to avoid the possible overlapping between a test-taker's content schemata and the content domain of the materials. Therefore, this article claims that the tenets of schema theory with its long-standing foundation on culturally predetermined content and formal schemata need to be expanded to cover professional knowledge structures, like those acquired by higher education, as the hard-wired framework of an individual's original culture-specific background knowledge.

Service quality is very important to marketers and consumers in that it has many strategic benefits in contributing to profitability of marketing activities and consumers' problem-solving activities. Moreover, despite the phenomenal growth of physical fitness centers little research has focused on the evaluation of service quality from exercisers' perspectives. The major purpose of this article is to explore the concept of two-factor model and its influences on exerciser's perception of quality. This article attempts to achieve its purpose by (1)classfying critical service attibutes into hygiene factors and satisfiers (2) measuring the relative importance of need criteria (3) evaluating SERVPERF model and SERVQUAL model in service sector and (4)identifying the relationship between overall satisfaction and behavior. In explaining the relationship between perceived performance and overall satisfaction only 27 out of original 33 survey items were appreared to be statistically significant. Hence a penalty-reward analysis was performed on these critical attributes to find out 11 satisfiers and 9 hygiene factors. In addition, it was found that only experience-based norms(SERVPERF model) were more appropriate than expectations to serve as a benchmark against which service experiences were compared(SERVQUAL model). However it must be noted that the degree of association to overall satisfaction was not consistent.

This article attempts to extract headwords for complication of "Donguibogam Dictionary" with Corpus-based Analysis. The computerized original text of Donguibogam is changed into a text file by a program 'EM Editor'. Chinese characters of high frequency of exposure among Chinese characters of Donguibogam are extracted by a Corpus-based analytical program 'AntConc'. Two-syllable, three-syllable, four-syllable, and five-syllable words including each Chinese characters of high frequency are extracted through n-cluster, one of functions of AntConc. Lastly, The output that is meaningful as a word is sorted. As a result, words that often appear in Donguibogam can be sorted in this article, and the names of books, medical herbs, disease symptoms, and prescriptions often appear especially. This way to extract headwords by this Corpus-based Analysis can suggest better headwords list for "Donguibogam Dictionary" in the future.

Objectives: Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics (Restor Dent Endod; RDE) is an English-language journal published by the Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry, and it has been online since 2012 with quarterly publications. The purpose of this paper was to review and analyze the publications in this journal since its inception and over the 7-year period from 2012 to 2018. Materials and Methods: This paper assessed the number, type, and subject of articles published, as well as authorship patterns and article citations of the journal over a 7-year period. The citation indicator for the journal (h-index) was assessed using Google Scholar. Results: The number of articles per issue has remained relatively consistent in the 7 years that were analyzed. An analysis of the article types revealed various categories of review articles. Original research articles accounted for the most articles per volume. Twice as many articles per volume were on endodontic topics than on restorative subjects. Articles published in RDE have been widely cited in Synapse, Crossref, and PubMed Central. A country-wise mapping of authors' institutions revealed significant contributions from authors around the world. With an h-index of 24, RDE ranks third among journals in its specialty. The most cited articles were open lectures on statistics and research articles on recent concepts, technology, and materials. Conclusion: Over the last 7 years, RDE has served as a platform for a large number of manuscripts in the field of restorative dentistry and endodontics.

This article's purpose is to overcome the inadequacy of deliberative democracy for communication on the basis of Haewonsangsaeng. The inadequacy of deliberative democracy for communication is presented as the following two. First, as deliberative democracy treats civic virtue as instrumental thing, deliberative democracy is still in moral solipsism. Second, as deliberative democracy doesn't consider 'the inequality of power' among diverse political positions, the project of deliberative democracy for communication ends up in the exposure of the inequality of power among diverse political positions. Sangsaeng in Haewonsangsaeng concerned with inter-relationship over individualism treats civic virtue as original motility. In this context, Sangsaeng in Haewonsangsaeng is the alternative notion to overcome the first inadequacy of deliberative democracy for communication. Haewon in Haewonsangsaengas is the condition for Sangsaeng. and Haewon's method is to exclude or to eliminate the structural frame of Sanggeuk meaning mutual conflict and antagonism. This article presents two structural frame of Sanggeuk. First, First structural obstacle as internal obstacle is suggested through analyzing pluralism on the basis of existential philosophy. The result of the analysis is the 'antagonism' between the hegemonical value and the peripheral value. Second structural obstacle as external obstacle is the extinction of public sphere caused by the growth of market and the expansion of bureaucracy.

This study was carried out to investigate statistical validity of medical articles that used various statistical techniques such as t-test, analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis and chi-square test. For study 429 original articles using those statistical methods were selected from Journal of Korean Acupuncture & Moxibusition Society published from 1984 to 2002. 429 original articles were reviewed to analyzed the statistical procedures. Results are summarized as follows : 1. In this study 93 articles(21.68%) of 429 ones didn't report statement of statistical method in detail. 2. 53 articles(12.53%) didn't report p-value in correctly, and 245 articles(57.11 %) used mean${\pm}$standard error (Mean${\pm}$SEM.) and 109 articles used mean${\pm}$standard deviation(Mean${\pm}$SD.). All of 23 articles using nonparametric statistical techniques made an error to central tendency or dispersion. 3. 175 articles(59.93%) and 14 articles(4.79%) of 292 ones made an error to description of equal variances and normal distribution. 4. 99 articles(50%) of 185 ones misused t-test and 4 articles of 5 ones misused chi-square test. 5. 28 articles(73.68%) of 38 ones using discrete variable misused parametric technique such as t-test or ANOVA. 2 articles and 1 article of 125 ones choosing paired samples misused independent t-test and Mann-Whitney U test. 6. 20 articles using analysis of variance didn't use multiple comparison.

The purpose of this paper is to make it easy to reproduce the Pattern and sewing technique of men's coat in 18th century. which are modified in order to be made readily available in Korean theatre costume. The investigation was performed in three steps. 1st, The papers and records about development and change of men's coats were reviewed. End; The whole process of the way how to make a typical 18th century men's coats were sewn. 3rd ; The modification or revision into the more simplified pattern using by CAD system and sewing technique were suggested in detail. The size of the pattern in the original one, which we chose for this research, was generally small. with the side line being moved back a little. Moreover, arm movements were severely restricted because of the small arm-hole. The problems of original pattern were corrected by making both front and back pattern snug and side line being moved to the front, and making arm-hole wider. In the sewing technique, the simple way how to use of Padding, inter-linings and linings and to create the most noticeable figure of 18th century men's coat. This article may help theatre costume production in Korean performing art.

Much research has already been done on Donguibogam. However, comparison of specific characters was not done because researchers found it difficult to compare different editions of the text in one place. Recently, important editions have been published on the Internet, making comparison possible. In this paper, researchers compare eight editions Donguibogam, including the original edition published in 1613 and seven other editions corrected by the Naeuiwon (Joseon Dynasty National Medical Center). The comparison results were summarized and tabulated. The results of the comparison are analyzed and presented in this article as a chart. The result of comparing the characters and the analyzed graph were in agreement. The authors propose that all written and electronic publications of Donguibogam should refer to other editions implied, quoted or referenced within the text and including with proper citations, and reference the original and first edition. Inadequate referencing will pollute future knowledge of this foundational text of Traditional Korean Medicine and may result in perpetration of mis-information. Based on accumulated knowledge and study of historical Korean Medicine texts, the Namsan edition made a mistake in the editing process. The year of publication of Gabsul-yoengyoeng-gegan Edition needs to be studied again and corrections made where appropriate.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the schemes to enhance information service functions by the utilization of CD-ROM in medical school libraries. The results of the study are summarized as follows : 1. The selection and evaluation of CD-ROM database are necessary steps in the planning of a CD-ROM. Before the CD-ROM is selected, therefore, medical libraries must make a practical evaluation criteria in important order of information services environment, characteristics of hardware/software, service requirements, price and cost, etc. 2. If possible, CD-ROM MEDLINE must be suited for the information services environment. 3. In case of the popular core journals, full-text CD-ROM should be gradually purchased. 4. In order to reduce the time required from search of bibliographic informations to receipt of original articles, CD-NET system and library holding administration program must be built up and developed. And channel of information search and order/receipt of original article should be varied. 5. Search education program for medical librarians and users should be enforced, and librarians must play an important role in CD-ROM retrieval consultant and intermediator.

This study researchers the libretto and the original novel of the opera to propose fashion styles and stage costumes for the opera, "La $boh\grave{e}me$." This article studied the meanings of the $boh\grave{e}me$ in the 1830's France and the characteristics of the $boh\grave{e}me$ that appeared in the original novel, "$Sc\grave{e}nes$ de la vie de $boh\grave{e}me$." The characteristics of bohemian fashion styles in the $Sc\grave{e}nes$ de la vie de $boh\grave{e}me$ were not normal, not related with trends, and not new. Before presenting the new fashion styles, this study examined the stage costume problems of La $boh\grave{e}me$ with five existing performance materials. In conclusion, this study proposed new stage costume designs that reflect more dramatic fashion expressions of the characters, expression on the passage of time, and contemporary fashion records.
