This review is based on articles published in Japanese Journal of Health Physics on "Radiation-exposed medical care and waste" related to Tokyo Electric Power Company Incorporated (TEPCO)'s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident. Here, we have considered three original articles; one technical data, one special article, one 50^th anniversary article, one preface, three topics, and two cases of From Japan to the World (J to W). These articles have reported the system and standards that were established after the accident. Moreover, they have summarized rare experiences such as the fumbling response at the time and the evaluation of samples in that disaster. These articles constitute valuable records of the situation.

At present, more than 80% export made by Korean small-medium sized companies is OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturing). But OEM export of made-in korea products has been facing limitations from 1990s. Some leading companies among those small-medium sized companies which have been fulfilling OEM export are transferring their exporting strategies to Own Brand or ODM(Original Development/Design Manufacturing) and some of their strategies successful. However, most of small-medium sized OEM exporting companies are still groping for some ways to upgrading to Own Brand or ODM exporting strategies. Therefore, this article deals with how the leading ODM exporting companies have been transferred from OEM to ODM exporting strategies. It also discusses the primary factors of success and barrier and how to develop the ODM exporting strategies based on investigating literature and interviews with the leading ODM exporting companies.

The purpose of this study is to develop the technique of energy recovery and energy saving by using the optimization of heat exchanger network synthesis. This article proposes a new method of determining the optimal target of a heat exchanger network synthesis problem of which data feature multiple pinch points. The system separation method we suggest here is to subdivide the original system into independent subsystems with one pinch point. The optimal cost target was evaluated and the original pinch rules at each subsystem were employed. The software developed in this study was applied to the Alko prosess, which is an alcohol production process, for the synthesis of heat exchanger network. It was possible to save about 15% of the total annual cost.

Digital watermarking techniques are widely applied to protect the integrity and copyright of digital content. In a majority of the literature for watermarking techniques, the watermarked image often causes some distortions after embedding a watermark. For image-quality-concerned users, the distortions from a watermarked image are unacceptable. In this article, we propose a removable watermarking scheme that can restore an original-like image and resist signal-processing attacks to protect the ownership of an image by utilizing the property of singular value decomposition (SVD). The experimental results reveal that the proposed scheme meets the requirements of watermarking robustness, and also reestablishes an image like the original with average PSNR values of 59.07 dB for reconstructed images.

Preservation of geometrical context of terrains in a digitized format is useful in handling and making modification to the data. Digitization of three-dimensional terrain still proves a great challenge due to heavy load of context required to retain details of topological and geometrical information. Methods of simplification, restoration and multi-level terrain generation are often employed to transform the original data into a compressed digital format. However, reduction of the stored data size comes at an expense of loss of details in the original data set. This article reports on an alternative scheme for simplification and restoration of terrain data. The algorithm utilizes the fact that the terrain formation and patterns can be predicted and modeled through the fractal algorithm. This method was used to generate multi-level terrain model based on NGIS digital maps with preserving geometrical context of terrains.

All Korean Medical Association member input bibliographic data and holding data. Medical researcher can access medical literature article system at www and then access holding data and they can use interlibrary loan system in online. The object of this total system is that medical researcher as well as medical librarian can easily retrive medical literature and gain original article.

${\ddot{O}}d{\ddot{o}}n$ Lechner has been known as an architect who incorporates Hungarian folk motifs in creating a highly original Hungarian national style. Nevertheless, his work has been surprisingly neither exposed nor familiar to Korean audiences. This article attempts to reveal the unique characteristics of Lechner's architectural thought and ideas along with his buildings in Budapest. First of all, this article presents the evolution of Lechner's architectural thought by dividing his career into four marking periods. They are in chronological order to serve as a record of his architectural career. The authors then discuss his concern on the Hungarian ethnography in architecture while turing away from orthodox classicism. Subsequently, this article analyzes Lechner's three major buildings located at Budapest. By doing so, it attempts to expose his underlying design ideas and to shed light on the most elegant works of the architect. Finally, it marks out Lechner's influences on young Hungarian architects.

Purpose: To do nursing research effectively requires an understanding of fundamental principles of statistical methods. In this article, some key statistical methods which are commonly used in nursing research are identified and summarized. Methods: Ninety-two original articles from the Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration were reviewed. Statistical methods were classified and summarized for usage in research and occurrence of common errors. Results: Among the original articles reviewed, 58 statistical usages contained errors. Most errors were found in linear regression analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, and chi-square test. From the detection of statistical errors in usage, suggestions for appropriate statistical methods were made. Conclusion: In order to improve validity of original articles in the Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration, clearly stated statistical usage and close editorial attention to statistical methods are needed. Understanding statistical methods is part of the process that researchers must use to determine both quality and usefulness of the research. Research findings will be used to guide nursing practice and reduce uncertainty in decision making. However, to understand how to interpret research results, it is important to be able to understand basic statistical concepts. Researchers should also choose statistical methods that match their purposes.

Objectives : The aim of this study is to develop the official Korean translation of the CARE guidelines. Methods : CARE guidelines were developed in 2013 though a consensus of experts led by the CARE group. It is the first reporting guideline for case reports that includes a 13-item checklist. We contacted the main author of the original manuscript and obtained permission to develop the Korean translation. The translation process followed a systematic protocol designated by the CARE group which included an independent back translation and confirmation from the original author. Results : The Korean translation of the CARE guidelines was completed with approval from the original author. The Korean checklist is posted on the official website (www.care-statement.org) and the final translation of the manuscript is introduced in this article as an appendix. Conclusions : We hope that this will help introduce the CARE guidelines to Korean authors and other stakeholders, induce a more active use of reporting guidelines, and eventually contribute to the overall improvement of the reporting quality of case reports published in Korean literature.

Objective : To search the trend of studying thread-embedding therapy in Korean medicine academia up to now and to expand the range of using thread-embedding therapy in the future, this study was designed. Methods : Using search portal sites the following; http://oasis.kiom.re.kr, http://www.riss.re.kr, collected 37 articles and devided those three parts and classificated those into four subsection as follows; total analysis, original article, case report. Results : The number of articles are 8 review articles, 14 original articles, 15 case reports. In the year 2013, 14 articles were published and ranked highest(37.8%). The journal of acupuncture & moxibustion medicine society ranked highest(40.5%). 5 persons ranked highest(32.4%) in number of author. Facial beauty care ranked highest(21.6%) in clssification of disease. Remedy item ranked highest(50.0%) in classification of subjects of 8 review articles. No more than 25 persons ranked highest(66.7%) and 6~12months of treatment period ranked highest(33.3%) in 14 original articles. Conclusions : Thread-embedding therapy is considered very useful on various part of Korean medicine clinic. We need to expand application scope of thread-embedding therapy in the future.
