The purpose of this study is to understand the general process from textile design till fashion design and to understand the relation between the body structure by using the x-ray technique. The research method was to see background of the anatomic feature and human skeletal X-ray projection through historical aspect of publications, the Internet, and paper. In terms of production, in order to present a design that takes into account the unique silhouette of the human body without distorting the shape of the human skeleton, X-ray images that were reconstituted using a computer graphic tool (Photoshop CS) were reproduced into the fabric as intense images through the digital Textile Printing technique that is capable of expressing fine and delicate details, and applied into the design. An original design was developed that emphasized the impression of the human body being projected and the shape of the human skeleton realistically expressed in terms of silhouette and detail. The results are as follows: First, Body has a anatomic formative characteristic and its formativeness becomes as a great motive for the artistic expression and thereby it becomes more unique and available for new design expression. Second, Using the 'body frame' as the motive of the research, there's mainly tried to make an unique expression. Third, according to reconstructing human skeletal X-ray projection by using Adobe Photoshop CS2, it can be expressed strong and unique design. Forth, DTP which is being used as an essential technique, expresses the body frame realistically and being used the special type of functional product and silk. Likewise by discovering the diverse formativeness of our body frame and reflecting the sense of humanity into the pieces there's been able to make and develop an unique fashion design. I sincerely hope there is a hug progress in this research in this area.
PURPOSE. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of reinforcing materials on the fracture resistances of glass fiber mesh- and Cr-Co metal mesh-reinforced maxillary complete dentures under fatigue loading. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Glass fiber mesh- and Cr-Co mesh-reinforced maxillary complete dentures were fabricated using silicone molds and acrylic resin. A control group was prepared with no reinforcement (n = 15 per group). After fatigue loading was applied using a chewing simulator, fracture resistance was measured by a universal testing machine. The fracture patterns were analyzed and the fractured surfaces were observed by scanning electron microscopy. RESULTS. After cyclic loading, none of the dentures showed cracks or fractures. During fracture resistance testing, all unreinforced dentures experienced complete fracture. The mesh-reinforced dentures primarily showed posterior framework fracture. Deformation of the all-metal framework caused the metal mesh-reinforced denture to exhibit the highest fracture resistance, followed by the glass fiber mesh-reinforced denture (P<.05) and the control group (P<.05). The glass fiber mesh-reinforced denture primarily maintained its original shape with unbroken fibers. River line pattern of the control group, dimples and interdendritic fractures of the metal mesh group, and radial fracture lines of the glass fiber group were observed on the fractured surfaces. CONCLUSION. The glass fiber mesh-reinforced denture exhibits a fracture resistance higher than that of the unreinforced denture, but lower than that of the metal mesh-reinforced denture because of the deformation of the metal mesh. The glass fiber mesh-reinforced denture maintains its shape even after fracture, indicating the possibility of easier repair.
The empirical area-reduction method by W.M. Borland and C.R. Miller and its revised procedure by W.T. Moody were made of fitting the area and storage curves to the Van't Hul distributions. It should be noted that the reservoir is classified into one of the four standard types on the basis of the topographical feature of the reservoir in application of the method. In other words, this method did not take into account several considerafble factors affecting the mode of sediment deposition, but only the shape of the reservoir as a governign factor. This is why the method occasionally creates ambiguity in classification and accordingly leads to unexpected mode of deposition. This paper describes a generating an formula to decide the standard classification of four types Van's Hul distributions, taking into consideration quantitatively sediment-loss percent and capacity-inflow ratio as well as the shape of the reservoirs by multiple regression analysis using the least square method to get a better fit to the design curves. The result is expressed as $Y=-1.95+55.8X_1+0.14X_2+0.12X_3$ in which the the values of Y locate the standard type I through type IV in the range from ten to forty with the interval of ten. The regression analysis was correlated well with the standard errors of estimate of around two except for the case of the type IV. This formula does not give big difference from the Borland's work in general sityation, but it demonstrates acceptable results, giving somewhat precise replys for the specific reservoirs. Its application to the Soyang Lake, one of the largest reservoirs in the country, defined clearly the type II, while the original method located it in the boundary of the type II and type III.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the criteria for the damaged mountainous landscape based on the shape, location and ratio of damaged landscape. For the study, the preference and landscape adjectives were analyzed on visual images and simulations. The variables for analysis were the amount of the damaged ratio(10%, 30%, 50%), the location of the damage (upper, middle, lower) and the various forms of the damage(spot, line, area). According to the results of this study, in accordance with the amount of damage, the visual preference recorded its lowest with the a rate of 50%. As for the location of the damage, the lower-ridge of the mountain showed the highest preference, and the upper-ridge was recorded as the lowest. The linear damage type showed the highest preference. On the other hand, the spotted damage type showed lowest. The results indicate that the visual preference increases when there is a lower ratio of damage, as the damage locates at the lower-ridge, and also when there is a presence of linear formation development. The group of linear formation-the lower ridge-10% showed the highest preference, and the group of linear formation-the mid ridge-50% was the lowest with the results of 3-way ANOVA. The group of linear formation-lower ridge-10% in particular had virtually no differences of visual preference when it was compared with the original scene. The damage with the spotted formation, on the mid-upper location and the high ratio of damage were analyzed as factors that give negative influence on the mountainous landscape. The main features of mountainous landscape were reduced into two factors, 'total estimation' and 'spatial scale' by the factor analysis with total variance of 65.96%.
Stone-cultural-properties, distributed In the area, have been investigated and studied on the characteristics and the rock phases in the geological and conservational point of view. Stone-Buddhas in the area can be subdivided into Maebul-, General -, and Massive rock-types according to their styles. The rocks used in these stone-cultural-properties are mainly massive, coarse grained biotite granite of the Jurassic age, which is widely distributed around the Reckon-gun area. However, quartz-feldspathic banded gneiss, marble, phyllite and hornblendite are also used. These rocks are mainly distributed in the Yongin-gun area. This suggests that the rocks used. These rocks are strongly influenced by chemical weathering so that the rock surface is very irregular with $2\~3mm$ relief. Biotite granite used shows generally weathered surface of brown color due to chemical weathering of feldspars. Moss are pervasive partly on the surface to show black and/or green colors. The strong weathering may induce secondarily to appear the igneous lineation, onion-structure, and/or minor cracks latent in the rocks. The cultural properties In the area are relatively well conserved except Maebuls and one(Duchangri 3-story) pagoda. However, one stone-buddha may be grinded recently by machine to take off the weathered surface resulting in the loss of its age and the original detailed shape. For conservation, they must be scientifically considered on the shape, kind of the rock phase and characteristics of the weathered phenomena.

There is increased interest in clothes dryers and garments made of spandex-blend woven fabrics; however, there is limited information available for the laundering and drying these clothes. This study investigates the effects of washing and drying on shrinkage, skewness, and wrinkle for woven fabrics with and without spandex. When spandex with good elastic recovery was blended, the deformed shape from washing and drying improved skewness and wrinkle by easily returning to its original shape. However, these properties had a negative effect on shrinkage in terms of length and area change. When the influence of clothes maintenance was classified, the drying process had the biggest influence of 58%, followed by spinning-rinsingwashing. Tumble drying, in which the fabric is exposed to mechanical force and heat for a long period, had more negative effects on the dimensional stability than line drying. The spandex blend had the effect of preventing skewness and wrinkle in garments, but it was also shown to accelerate shrinkage by garment maintenance cycles. It was important to control drying in order to reduce shrinkage during the maintenance process; consequently, this had the greatest influence on the dimensional stability of fabrics. Therefore, line drying was more advantageous for spandex-blend fabrics than tumble drying in terms of management for shrinkage, skewness, and wrinkle.

The basic principles in the "Spleen-stomach theory(脾胃論)" sets up the phases and roles of spleen-stomach (脾胃) by establishing Earth(地 坤 土) and exposing the reality of spleen-stomach(脾胃) of human body which has its own shape and form with Heaven's reality exhibited. The meaning of Earth is based on the constant meaning of Earth in 'Earth Original-Earth as extended and stable ground(坤元一正之土)' giving form and shape, and Earth's movement with circulation, then exposes itself as 'Earth as plowing land(耕種之土)' concerning both the application of Five Phases and the physical characteristics of Earth. The Yin-Yang recognition on Earth is revealed as Yin Earth(陰土)-Yang Earth(陽土). Spleen(脾) was established as Yin Earth(陰土) and Stomach(胃) as Yang Earth(陽土). The seasonal assignment of Earth is Indian Summer(長夏), which is divided from Summer, and becomes Heat(熱), and the Yin-Yang recognition of Earth comes to be the meaning of the center and border. According to the Five Phasic recognition, it becomes Earth(土) and gets to be Dampness(濕) in accordance with Six Qi(六氣). 'Extreme Yin(至陰)' indicates Qi's status exposing the fundamental meaning regarding the role of creating, changing, and propelling Spleen-Stomach(脾胃) as a characteristic Yin Earth. Earth comprehends 'Four Courses(四維)' meaning, recognizes them as four parts of the 12 Earth's Branches(辰戌丑未) and the terminals of four seasons(四季之末), and has the meaning of the president of the change in four seasons. The theory of principle in the "Spleen-stomach theory(脾胃論)" stands on the basis of the 'Form Qi theory(形氣論)' and that of 'Upbearing, Downbearing, Floating, and Sinking theory(升降浮沈論)'. It manifests the theory of movement in the interaction between Form(形) and Qi(氣), and 'Qi Interior Form Exterior(氣裏形表)' indicates that Qi(氣) moves interiorly and Form(形) exteriorly.

The weight reduction design process of tension links could be studied based on the variation of tension, bending and torsional stiffness after substituting STKM11A steels with aluminum alloys (A356) with tensile strength of 245 MPa. The existed I-beam type link component may have a weak point for loads applied from a special direction. Therefore, it was investigated to the optimal shape of the link component that could withstand loads from all directions and at the same time reduce weight. Various types of link shapes were designed and analyzed, and the optimized shape was found. The optimized design can reduce over 40% of the original steel link weight, and it could be suggested for light-weight design guides and safe design conditions for the development of tension links.

Iterative curve evolution techniques are powerful methods for image segmentation. Classical methods proposed curve evolutions which guarantee close contours at convergence and, combined with the level set method, they easily handled curve topology changes. In this paper, we present a new geometric active contour model based on level set methods introduced by Osher & Sethian for detection of object boundaries or shape and we adopt anisotropic diffusion filtering method for removing noise from original image. Classical methods allow only one-way curve evolutions : shrinking or expanding of the curve. Thus, the initial curve must encircle all the objects to be segmented or several curves must be used, each one totally inside one object. But our method allows a two-way curve evolution : parts of the curve evolve in the outward direction while others evolve in the inward direction. It offers much more freedom in the initial curve position than with a classical geodesic search method. Our algorithm performs accurate and precise segmentations from noisy images with complex objects(jncluding sharp angles, deep concavities or holes), Besides it easily handled curve topology changes. In order to minimize the processing time, we use the narrow band method which allows us to perform calculations in the neighborhood of the contour and not in the whole image.

In this study two single-bay, three-storey space frames, one with brick masonry infill in the second and third floors representing a soft-storey frame and the other without infill were designed and their 1:3 scale models were constructed according to non-seismic detailing and the similitude law. The models were excited with an intensity of earthquake motion as specified in the form of response spectrum in Indian seismic code IS 1893-2002 using a shake table. The seismic responses of the soft-storey frame such as fundamental frequency, mode shape, base shear and stiffness were compared with that of the bare frame. It was observed that the presence of open ground floor in the soft-storey infilled frame reduced the natural frequency by 30%. The shear demand in the soft-storey frame was found to be more than two and a half times greater than that in the bare frame. From the mode shape it was found that, the bare frame vibrated in the flexure mode whereas the soft-storey frame vibrated in the shear mode. The frames were tested to failure and the damaged soft-storey frame was retrofitted with concrete jacketing and, subjected to same earthquake motions as the original frames. Pushover analysis was carried out using the software package SAP 2000 to validate the test results. The performance point was obtained for all the frames under study, therefore the frames were found to be adequate for gravity loads and moderate earthquakes. It was concluded that the global nonlinear seismic response of reinforced concrete frames with masonry infill can be adequately simulated using static nonlinear pushover analysis.
