The aim of this study is to investigate the role of employee engagement as a mediator between the High-Performance Work System and the Service-Oriented Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Service-Oriented OCB). Furthermore, work-life balance as a moderator, the impact Service-Oriented OCB on customer satisfaction will be investigated. This study employs a quantitative methodology for which questionnaires were distributed to sixty restaurants in Karachi, and a sample of 418 responses was collected for structural equation modeling analysis. Smart PLS software was used to analyze the structure model. The results show that HPWS has a positive impact on Service-Oriented OCB. It is assumed that the role of work engagement as a mediator between HPWS and Service-Oriented OCB is significant. This study found that Service-Oriented OCB has a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Work-life balance was also found to have a moderating influence. The findings confirmed the black box mechanism and the HPWS procedures in restaurants. This study suggests implementing effective HPWS practices to influence employees' work engagement, which leads to Service-Oriented OCB and employees being able to optimize their performance to influence customer satisfaction. The study contributes to the existing body of knowledge in human resource management.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the mediating role of performance information use in the relationship between result-oriented culture and organizational performance. The data were collected from chief accountants and managers working in public-sector organizations in Vietnam. The analysis was based on the 197 completed questionnaires by using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). For the test research model and hypotheses, the supporting tool is SmartPLS 3 software. Research findings show that result-oriented culture is positively associated with organizational performance, and that performance information use is a mediating mechanism that explains how a result-oriented culture leads to higher performance in public organizations. The findings of this study suggest that the results-oriented culture, not only directly improves organizational performance, but also indirectly does so by the use of performance information. This study provides evidence for theoretical understanding of the impact of result-oriented culture on the performance of public-sector organizations through performance information use, and suggests practical implications for public organizations in applying result-oriented culture to foster using performance measurement and improve organizational performance. In order to achieve good performance, public-sector organizations need to create and spread result-oriented culture and enhance the use of performance information for decision-making.

Unlike in traditional row-oriented database systems, a column-oriented database system stores data in column-oriented and not row-oriented order. Recently, research results revealed the effectiveness of column-oriented databases for applications such as data warehouse and decision support systems that access large volumes of data in a read only manner. In this paper, we investigate the join strategies for column-oriented databases and prove the effectiveness of column-oriented databases in data warehouse systems. For unbiased comparison, the two database systems are analyzed using the star schema benchmark and the performance analysis of a star schema join query is carried out. We experimented with well-known join algorithms and considered early materialization and late materialization join strategies for column-oriented databases. The performance results confirm that star schema join queries perform better in terms of disk I/O cost in column-oriented databases than in row-oriented databases. In addition, the late materialization strategy showed more performance gain than the early materialization strategy in column-oriented databases.
The purposes of this study were to extract the effects of emotional labor, self-efficacy and burnout on customer-oriented selling behavior of salesperson by literature review and to examine the effect variables on customer-oriented selling behavior empirically. The questionnaire was administered to 400 salespersons who were selling clothes, cosmetics, shoes, leather products and accessories in department stores located in Kwang-ju city during August 18-24, 2006. Data collected from 307 salespersons were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan-test, correlation, regression analysis and path analysis. The results were as follows: First, Salesperson's emotional labor was composed of two factors; emotional labor toward the customer and emotional labor toward the organization. Second, Salesperson's emotional labor had negative significant influence on customer-oriented selling behavior. Specifically, the emotional labor toward the organization negatively influenced on customer-oriented selling behavior, but the emotional labor toward the customer positively influenced on customer-oriented selling behavior. Third, Salesperson's emotional labor positively influenced on burnout. Specifically, emotional labor toward organization significantly influenced on burnout, but emotional labor toward customer did not influenced on burnout. Fourth, Salesperson's self-efficacy positively influenced on customer-oriented selling behavior. Fifth. Salesperson's self-efficacy negatively influenced on burnout. Finally, Salesperson's burnout negatively influenced on comer-oriented selling behavior. The direct effect of salesperson's self-efficacy on customer-oriented selling behavior was large than the indirect effect of salesperson's self-efficacy mediate burnout. But the indirect effect of salesperson's emotional labor mediate burnout was large than the direct effect of salesperson's emotional labor on customer- oriented selling behavior.
The purposes of this study were 1) to classify female consumers on VALS, 2) to identify the differences of psychological characteristics and demographics among the classified groups, and 3) to investigate the apparel benefits, buying behavior, shopping practices and psychological characteristics of each groups. For the study, a sample of 340 female consumers participated in this survey research. The data was analyzed utilizing descriptive statistics, factor analysis, cluster analysis, $\chi^2$-test, one-way ANOVA and Duncan test. Seven dimensions of values were identified by factor analysis: Consumption-oriented, Achievement-oriented , Diligence/sincerity-oriented, Pessimistic value tendencious, conservative/conventional value oriented, Dignity-oriented and Socialite-oriented. Based on these dimensions female consumers classified into three clusters: inner values-directed group, passive/inactive group, and achievement-oriented group. Achievement-oriented group showed the highest scores in optimum stimulation level and materialism, and tended to be younger and be employed than the other two groups. Both inner values-directed group and achievement-oriented group showed higher scores in self-expression/individuality and quality out of five apparel benefit than passive/inactive group. Innovative communicators, fashion innovators and fashion opinion leaders were mostly in the achievement-oriented group, while fashion followers and fashion indifferents were mostly in the passive/inactive group. It was revealed that achievement-oriented group had a larger number of fashionable clothing items and experienced more activities in vogue. Also, there were significant group differences in shopping practice, such as average monthly allowance, number of annual purchase clothing items.
The purpose of this study was to offer basic data to global fashion market by surveying differences between lifestyle of women in Korea and America and their clothing behavior with female consumers in 30s in Korea or America with each other cultural background, comparing/analyzing differences between lifestyle and clothing behavior according to Korea and America and making a close inquiry into an effect of lifestyle on clothing behavior. The results of the study were as follows. First, when the study carried out factor analysis of lifestyle, five factors- outward appearance-oriented, leisure-oriented, family-centered, information-oriented and economy- oriented-were deducted. In outward appearance-oriented lifestyle and information-oriented lifestyle, the women in Korea were higher than the women in America. In family-centered lifestyle, the women in America were higher than the women in Korea. Second, when the study carried out factor analysis of clothing behavior, eight factors- aesthetics, indifference, interest, economical feasibility, sympathy, planning, brand-oriented tendency and individuality-were deducted. In interest, sympathy, planning and individuality, the women in Korea were higher than the women in America. On the other hand, in indifference and economical feasibility, the women in America were higher than the women in Korea. Third, in the women in Korea, their lifestyle had an effect on aesthetics, indifference, interest and brand-oriented tendency. Especially, information-oriented lifestyle had an effect on four clothing behaviors. In the Korean women, their outward appearance-oriented and leisure-oriented lifestyles had an effect on only aesthetics, indifference and interest.
Primary function of health record is that as tool of communication between the health processionals with the mutual goal, the promotion of health care standard. Studies have been carried out world over oil tile subject, among those, Weed's Problem-Oriented Health Record is considered a paramount achievement. This study was designed to assess tile possibility of implementing tile problem-oriented health record system through ail experiment in order to provide data for nurse administrators infiltrating reformation of recording system and format. Record of 29 patients admitted at Korea University Hospital, Seoul, from March through June, 1976 for 4 to 14 days were sampled. Nursing notes were recorded by research assistants; senior nursing student trailed extensively by the researcher oil Problem-Oriented Records, oil Problem Oriented Nursing Record format (experimental group) and analysis were carried out comparative, with that of traditional nursing records noted by other nursing personnel (control group) on the same patient. Attitude towards Problem Oriented Nursing Record system and format were attained through questionaries responded by the 51 research assistants. Results are as fellows: Comparative analysis revealed that: 1. Assessment of patients' health problems recorded significantly more in traditional records. 2. Focus of health Problem differed; traditional records slowed significantly higher frequency in medical and procedure as focus while problem oriented records on nursing focus problems. 3. Problem- Oriented records were better organized, Mean value scores of attitude towards Problem- Oriented Records revealed that: Positive value scores on all 4 categories: 1) Assessment of nursing needs, 2) Nursing care planning 3) Patient progress assessment and 4) Tool of teaching and learning revealed that the Problem-Oriented Nursing Record is positively accepted by tile respondents. Recommendation Further experiments on implementation of Problem- Oriented Health Record are recommended: experiment involving all health professionals, in larger scope and longitudinal.

I studied existing research and thesis which are relating emotional labor, job-related stress, and service level to set up the structural model and potential factors that form this structural model. The result showed that emotional labor is affecting job-related stress, service delivery level and customer-oriented activities. And service delivery level is affecting customer-oriented activities under 95% confidence levels. Also from the analysis of group survey by working group, check-in agent's emotional labor is affecting on job-related stress, service delivery level and customer-oriented activities. And service level is affecting on customer-oriented activities. By the result of how emotional labor and customer-oriented activities are related, I strongly believe it contributed the study of emotional labor theory.
Object-orientation has been proposed as a promising software process innovation to improve software productivity and quality. It has not been understood clearly, however, what factors influences the diffusion of object-oriented technology in organizations. A research model was formulated and hypotheses were generated based on the literature of information technology implementation and software process innovation. To test the research hypotheses, a questionnaire survey was conducted. The results based on 121 responses from Korean companies revealed that project characteristics, use of external experts, and number of development projects are significantly related to the diffusion of object-oriented analysis and design and object-oriented programming. Innovation champion is positively related to the diffusion of object-oriented analysis and design, whereas it is not related to the diffusion of object-oriented programming language. Only project complexity was significantly related to the diffusion of visual programming language. On the other hand, organizational size was not significantly related to any object-oriented technology in this study.

This study tests the applicability of concepts of integrated leadership-in-government and follower happiness in South Korea and then comes up with implication and limitations on the applicability based on the study of Mathias et al. (2018). The study adopts eight leaderships: accountability, rule-following, political loyalty, network governance, task-oriented, relations-oriented, change-oriented and diversity-oriented leadership that Mathias et al. (2018) employ from Fernandez et al. (2010) and Tummers and Knies (2016). We also select job satisfaction and self-perceived performance to measure follower happiness depending on Mathias et al. (2018). According to the analytical results, it shows that accountability leadership, network governance leadership, task-oriented leadership, relations-oriented leadership, and change-oriented leadership have positive influences on follower happiness measured. Based on the analytical results, this study suggests implication and limitation on the applicability of the link between integrated leadership and follower happiness in comparison to the results from Mathias et al. (2018).
