다기능프로젝트팀의 설계, 팀 코칭, 팀 개발과 성과 (The Team Structure Design, Team-Coaching, Team Development, and Team Performance of Cross-Functional Project Team)

  • 본 연구는 다양한 기능영역 간의 연계성을 확보하고, 창의적 사고와 혁신을 유인하기 위해 운영되는 다기능프로젝트팀(Cross-Functional Project Team)의 성과 창출에 관하여 연구하였다. 기존 소집단 유효성 연구는 팀 프로세스가 중요함을, 조직맥락 연구에서는 팀 구조설계 및 긍정적인 조직맥락 조성을 강조하고 있는 바에 기초하여 다기능프로젝트팀만의 차별적 특성을 반영한 성과 영향 요인을 도출하고 영향력을 검증하였다. 또한 리더 행위로서의 팀 코칭(team coaching)이 갖는 조절효과도 파악하였다. 17개 서울 및 수도권 소재 기업에서 운영한 다기능프로젝트팀 32개, 214명을 대상으로 자료를 확보하여 분석한 결과, 역량구성 적절성과 팀 보상시스템이 팀 프로세스 및 팀 성과에 유의한 영향력을 가진다는 결과를 도출하였다. 또한 팀 코칭이 팀 프로세스 및 팀 성과에 갖는 직접적 영향관계를 파악하였다. 이러한 연구결과에 대한 이론적.경영관리적 시사점 및 향후 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.

재난 이후 임시주거의 공간특성 연구 - 아시아지역에서 발생한 자연재난을 중심으로 - (A Study on Spatial Characteristics of Post-Disaster Interim Housing - Focusing on Asian Precedents of Natural Disasters -)

  • This study intends to research the spatial characteristics of Asian interim housing that accommodates sufferers pro tempore after disasters. The scope of this research covers the interim spaces used for housing people after natural disasters that occurred in Asia for the past fifteen years. Within this scope, literature review was conducted as the basis to derive the characteristics and environmental elements of interim housing, which provided the criteria to compare and evaluate cases of interim housing along with characteristic elements required of interim housing found in previous studies. According to literature review, interim housing can be classified by life-span, region, economy, climate, type, number of household, square measure, residential cost, structure/material, and service life. Within the scope of the present research, literature review showed a total of twenty-eight cases of interim housing in fifteen countries revealing a high rate of disaster occurrence in the subtropic and tropic climate of Southeast Asia. A great percentage of interim housing was used for long-term stay of over a year. The structure of interim housing varied from lightweight steel, wooden, masonry, membrane, to traditional structure and the type were divided into temporary shelter, transitional housing, temporary housing, and permanent housing. Followed by literature review, the characteristics required of post-disaster interim housing were analyzed based on previous research and case studies. The characteristics of interim housing can be divided into environmental, technological, and socio-cultural ones. Sub-characterical items according to such division include amenity, health, surroundings, structure, convenience, eco-friendliness, safety, communication, and locality. As a result of evaluation, most items met the required characteristics of interim housing, while technological characteristics such as structure and convenience varied with the types of interim housing and appeared even unnecessary in some cases. According to analysis, amenity is maintained through the structural and material characteristics of interim housing and is also facilitated by increasing number of infrastructure such as educational, sanitary, and convenience facilities provided by the governmental and organizational bodies. It is expected that this study will be utilized as preliminary data for follow-up studies that improve the environment of post-disaster interim housing suitable for domestic circumstances in environmental, technological, and socio-cultural respects.

  • Purpose - The characteristics of the modern management environment in Korea clearly involve the limitations of knowledge management, globalization, changes in industrial structures, polarization of the economy, consumption, and education, and the demand for creative management. To achieve a continuous competitive advantage for individuals as well as organizations, Wisdom Management can be said to be a paradigm for the current environment. The Research is an alternative to environmental management in the early study of the need to conceptualize the theoretical approach to wisdom management. In other words, it presents a new management paradigm for a business environment of uncertainty and unpredictability. Furthermore, it aims to propose Wisdom Management as an alternative in the modern management environment as well as a topic of discourse. Its purpose is to provide basic knowledge to people who study and practice in this field to strengthen the competitiveness of individuals and companies. Research design, data, and methodology - This paper first provides six characteristics of the current management environment at home and abroad. It then attempts to emphasize the necessity of wisdom based on such characteristics by classifying wisdom according to recent management study research. This allows the derivation of definitions of wisdom management, suggesting its components and properties. Results - The six characteristics of the modern business environment are: 1) limits of knowledge, 2) intensifying globalized competition, 3) changes in industry structure - IoT (Internet of all Things) trend, 4) serious polarization and social unrest diffusion, 5) personal and organizational competitiveness creativity requirements, and 6) domestic special national and social situations. Therefore, accordingly, wisdom can be defined and classified as: wisdom that offers potential integration beyond knowledge, practicing and maintaining knowledge wisdom as an efficient strategy for an organization wisdom as a decision-making process that addresses ambivalence wisdom as the pursuit of common goods based on ethics; and, wisdom as creativity that involves intuition and insight. This paper attempts to define Wisdom Management in accordance with these definitions of wisdom. Wisdom Management is a management system that is awareof the current environment given in the multidimensional perspective, achieves the efficiency of the organization and the goals of common good through an uncertain decision-making process, based on the organization of individual and organizational knowledge, and the internal experiences and resources. Wisdom Management components include human beings, virtue, knowledge, creativity, and ambivalent thinking. Its properties include intentionality, self-destructiveness, creative and ethical reflexivity, complexity, insight, unpredictability, ambivalence, and wholeness. Conclusions - Since all organizations face the limitations of their environment, crises, and opportunities, applying wisdom in management to develop as Wisdom Management can be an inevitable alternative to the uncertainties of the management environment faced by modern society. The conceptualization of Wisdom Management forms a valuable context to further advance knowledge management theory into practice. It is also a cornerstone of strategic management and can provide insight into its potential for success and implementation.

  • The development of informational technology has lead to a sharp change in not only the existing way of operations and management, but the way of human life or thinking as well. Those shifts of the paradigm in information technology have also affected Individuals to the organizational structure. A series of unexpected problems was, however, accompanied by the advance in informational technology, which had broaden its own area of application. Those problems include the losses of property or data the malfunction of systems and their wastefulness would result in, continuous increases in computer crimes, reliability and efficiency of the functional process with the development of information systems, such as the processing problems of inaccurate data, economical issues, and subjects related to safety, as interruptions of privacy, which would result from lots of one's exposure to the drains of personal information. Accordingly, Auditors' roles of information systems, for now, is more important than anything else in that they are responsible for the objective assessment of relevance and effectiveness of internal control systems under the environment of information systems. The objective of the study is, so as to obtain safety of information systems: First, to provide data to line-design internal control systems after finding internal control factors to prevent and eliminate the risks of information systems. Second, to evaluate the priorities of internal control factors with their effective management being considered as the key to settle the problems of risks of information systems. A Study on Effects of Franchise Distribution Employees on Occupational Identity

  • Purpose - This research is to verify job fitness, empowerment, and recognition of career development support having the influence on formation of occupational identity in Korean food franchise distribution company. Research design, data, and methodology - Total 600 copies have been distributed and 394 copies have been collected, the covariance structure analysis has been implemented to verify the presented research hypothesis. Results - Demand fit and competency fit being the lower level of job fitness appeared not to have significant influence on occupational identity, and also these do not have the significant influence on the empowerment. Even though formal career development support being lower level of career development recognition appeared to have significant influence on empowerment, nonformal career development support appeared not to have significant influence on empowerment. Formal career development support and nonformal career development support appeared to have significant influence on occupational identity. Finally, empowerment appeared to have significant influence on occupational identity. Conclusions - It is implied that the psychological and subjective success felt in employee's career course may be improved by the job related job fitness, the initiative being individual characteristic and formal and formless career development support being organizational characteristic.

Perceived Employment Instability Effect on Psychological Well-being and Job Satisfaction: Resilience and Character Strength as Mediator

  • Purpose - This study intended to identify how resilience and character strength among employees are influenced by employment instability and the negative impact it could have on job satisfaction and psychological wellbeing. Research design, data, and methodology - This study hypothesizes that employment instability will have a negative effect on resilience and character strength, but resilience and character strength will have a positive effect on job satisfaction and psychological wellbeing. A total of 150 valid questionnaires were collected and utilized for analysis. Results - Employment instability was found to have a negative impact not only on job satisfaction and psychological wellbeing but also on employee resilience and character strength. Conclusion - The results suggest that along with the necessity for a strategic approach at the corporate level, enterprises should also acknowledge employee failures and support them in job situations. They should create a positive work environment and a structure of empowerment, interesting jobs, and a positive organizational culture to build various systems and the ability to enhance self-esteem and stamina in order to reinforce character strength.

Quantitative Analysis: Team management for Better Employee Performance in the US Retail Supply Chain

  • Purpose: Former research has argued that organizations in distribution channels face several issues to make a better team-based system. The purpose of the present research is to measure between employee's job performance and three major issues which disturb a solid team system. Research design, data and methodology: Scant past studies are available to guide for team practitioners which elements should be eliminated to improve team performance. To achieve this goal, the present authors obtained 267 US workers in distribution channels and conducted ANOVA test to measure the relationship between three team issues (Free-rider, Trust, and Communication) and job performance. Results: Our statistical findings clearly suggests that there was a statistically recognizable difference at the significance level of probability between the mean value of employees' job performance and three major issues, showing the high degree of job performance can be occurred by eliminating three major team issues. Conclusions: Therefore, the present research concludes that it is necessary that team-based management in the supply chain should focus on removing free-rider issues and also adopt open communication lines to overcome team-building challenges due to communication. Above all else, the ability to increase trust can be enhanced via task delegation and more team members' engagement.

과업 상호의존성과 정서적 조직몰입이 구성원의 양방향 커뮤니케이션과 지식공유에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Task Interdependence and Emotional Commitment on Employees' Two-way Communication and Their Knowledge Sharing)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of two-way communication and knowledge sharing on the task performance of employees in the interdependent task structure in organizations. Based on the theories of social interdependence and organizational commitment, this study hypothesized the effects of task interdependency and emotional commitment on two-way communication and knowledge sharing, followed by the effects of these variables on the task performance of employees. Design/methodology/approach Survey results show that task interdependence and emotional commitment have positive effects on the degree of two-way communication and knowledge sharing. Two-way communication also has a positive impact on knowledge sharing, and knowledge sharing also improved the task performance of members. However, the relationship between two-way communication and task performance shows no significant impact. Findings Theoretically, this study is meaningful in that the process of task interdependence in relation to emotional commitment leading to task performance is theorized. In practice, this research suggests it is important to improve employees' two-way communication and knowledge sharing in order to lead to increase task performance in the interdependent task environment.

  • 바우하우스의 공업사회에 있어서 디자이너로서, 또는 수 공예가, 조각가, 화가 혹은 건축가로서의 예술적 재능을 지닌 사람들의 양성을 목적으로 하여 출발하였으며, 건축공작에 있어서 협동의 목적을 지니고 예술과 형태의 면에서 모든 수공예의 완전한 조직훈련을 그 기초로 하고 있었다. 이러한 창조력을 지닌 인간양성의 원동력이 된 예비과정은 그 것을담당한 교사들의 교육이념과 교육방법에 따라 다양한 형태의 조형활동과 방법을 통하여 연구되어지고 실천에 옮겨졌으며, 그 근간을 형성하는 공통된 접근 방법은 인간을 조형원리의 중심에 두고 생물학적 기능의 분석 나아가 정신적이고 철학적인 부분에 이르기까지 철저히 분석함과 동시에 종합적으로 관찰하고 사고하며 표현하는 조형연습에 주안점을 두고 있었다. 아울러 바우하우스 조형교육의 독특한 구조는 교사와 학생을 구분하지 않고 자유로운 비판을 통하여 서로의 해결책을 비교토록 함으로써 어떤 과제를 어떤 형태로 추구하여 해결할 것인가를 스스로 체득케 하는 집단 요법 식 교육방식을 취하고 있었다는 점이다.

공기업 거버넌스 제도와 대리인 문제: 뉴욕.뉴저지 항만공사를 중심으로 (The Governance and Agent Problems of Public Agency: Focused on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey)

  • 본 연구는 대리인 이론의 관점에서 뉴욕 뉴저지 항만공사의 거버넌스 제도가 어떻게 공기업의 대리인 문제를 극복하고 있는지를 분석하고, 우리 나라의 항만공사 거버넌스 제도 개선에 도움을 줄 수 있는 시사점을 발견하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 뉴욕 뉴저지 항만공사는 인사권의 분산, 회의 공개 정책, 정보 공개 정책, 공청회, 재정적 독립 채산제 등과 같은 거버넌스의 특성을 지니고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 그런 거버넌스적 특성들이 주인의 대리인에 대한 감시 감독 강화, 주인-대리인 사이의 정보 비대칭성 완화, 조직 소유관계의 명확화 등을 통해, 역선택, 도덕적 해이, 복합적 외부 구조 등의 공기업 대리인 문제들을 효과적으로 극복하는 데 도움을 주고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 특성들은 우리 나라 항만공사의 거버넌스 제도를 설계하는 데에 시사하는 바가 많다고 생각된다.
