An Empirical Study of Perceived Organizational Support and Affective Commitment in the Logistics Industry

  • The study examines the impact of organizational rewards, procedure justice, and perceived supervisor support on perceived organizational support, and examine the impact of perceived organizational support on affective commitment to the organization in the logistic enterprises as well. Quantitative research is applied to measure relationships by regression analysis with SPSS. The research data was collected by convenient method from 180 employees who work in different departments in the logistics industry. The study results in the model 1 found that organizational rewards, procedure justice, and perceived supervisor support have a positive relationship to the perceived organizational support. The study results in the model 2 also found that perceived organizational support has strong impact on the affective commitment to the organization. The study results contribute to both management theory and management practice. For the management theory aspect, the authors suggest that perceived organizational support should be considered the key antecedent of affective commitment about which researchers should pay more attention as a concept. Based on the research results, the authors also recommend for the management practice that managers should pay attention to the implementation of rewards, procedure justice, and supervisor support to increase the perceived organizational support and affective commitment in the logistic enterprises.

The Role of Adopting Financial Management Information Systems in Increasing Organizational Performance: Evidence from Kuwaiti SMEs

  • Based on the Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) variables and supporting arenas, the current study aims to highlight the importance of FMIS in supporting organizations to achieve organizational excellence (Managing Liabilities, Support Decision Making, Cost Efficiency, Financial Quality, and Security). A quantitative approach was utilized by adopting a questionnaire as a tool. A convenient sample of (249) individuals from different Kuwaiti SMEs answered the questionnaire. SPSS v. 26 was used to analyze gathered data. The study's findings revealed that FMIS has a significant impact on organizational trials to achieve organizational excellence. This impact was most noticeable on the level of cost-efficiency, with an R-value of 0.583, followed by a positive impact on security, with an R-value of 0.453. Based on the results, it can be widely generalized that FMIS can help the organization reach organizational excellence through managing its financial affairs. As a result, the study recommends paying more attention to the quality of data presented to FMIS, keeping in mind that human errors in data entry might result in incorrect and malfunctioned data, even if it is processed by FMIS. FMIS also improves the ability of an organization to schedule financial information, such as obligations, receivables, debts, payments, and expenses.

  • 이 연구는 대기업의 경쟁력 조직문화를 형성하는 데 있어 조직문화, 직무 특성, 일의 가치와 지향성이 어떤 역할을 하는지 살펴보고자 하였다. MR-QAP 분석을 통해 이러한 변인들이 조직문화 프로파일 중 경쟁력 속성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것을 연구목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 국내 본사를 둔 완성차 기업의 15개 다양한 팀에 속한 161명으로부터 수집된 데이터를 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 경쟁력 있는 조직문화와 연결된 네트워크 특성이 경쟁력에 미치는 영향을 밝혔다. 직무 특성 중 과업 다양성과 피드백은 경쟁력 있는 조직문화에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 지각된 현재 조직 문화의 조직구성원 간 불일치가 경쟁력에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 가능성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 조직문화 프로파일 중에서는 사회적 책임, 지지성, 혁신, 성과지향성이 경쟁력 있는 조직문화에 유의한 정적 영향을 보이는 반면, 보상중시성과 안정성은 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 조직문화의 복잡한 역학관계를 이해하고, 조직 경쟁력을 증진시키기 위한 전략적 접근을 도모하며 실무적 시사점을 제공하였다.

파트너 선택과 계약 체결을 통한 조직간 위험 감소가 공급망 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Decrease in Inter-organizational Risks through IRCM on the Supply-chain Performance of a Firm)

  • 본 연구는 관계 통제방안인 신중한 파트너 선택과 상세한 계약 체결이 실행 과정에서 조직간 위험을 어떻게 감소시키는지를 실증적으로 규명하였다. 실증분석 결과, 신중한 파트너 선택이 조직간 협력과 조직간 정보교류에 유의한 양의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 상세한 계약 체결은 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 관계 및 성과 위험에 대한 신중한 파트너 선택, 상세한 계약 체결, 조직간 협력과 정보교류가 미치는 영향 분석에서는 조직간 협력이 두 가지 위험 모두에 음의 영향을 미치며, 신중한 파트너 선택은 성과 위험에만 유의적인 음의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 신중한 파트너 선택의 성과 위험에 대한 음의 영향은 다음과 같은 의미를 시사한다. 신중한 파트너 선택은 실행 과정에서 지적 자산을 갖춘 능력 있는 공급 기업을 선정하게 되며, 이러한 공급기업의 능력 자체가 성과 달성에 도움을 준다. 그리고 능력 있는 공급 기업과의 인적 접촉과 상호작용 등은 지식 공유와 학습을 상호간에 유발하며, 이를 통해 목표달성을 위한 다양한 방안들이나 책략이 고안, 개발되어 성과 획득에 도움을 줄 수도 있다. 상세한 계약 체결의 조직간 협력을 통한 성과 위험에 대한 간접 영향은 다음을 의미한다. 계약에 명시됨으로써 달성할 목표가 명확해지고 이는 관련 기업들 간의 공동 달성 노력, 즉, 협력을 촉진하게 된다. 그리고 이러한 공동 달성 노력이 상대방 기업의 성과 미달성 가능성을 낮추어준다는 것이다. 공급망 성과에 대한 조직간 위험의 영향 분석에서는 성과 위험이 유의한 음의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 관계 위험의 음의 영향은 유의적이지 않았다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of distributive and procedural justice on job satisfaction, professional commitment and organizational commitment among hospital physicians. The sample of this study consisted of 185 physicians from 8 general hospitals located in Metropolitan area and Youngnam area in Korea. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires with the response rate of 40.2% and analyzed using hierarchical regression technique. The results of this study showed that procedural justice had a direct impact on job satisfaction, professional commitment and organizational commitment among hospital physicians, whereas distributive justice had no significant impact. The results imply that hospital administrators should take measures to establish procedural justice to increase job satisfaction, professional commitment and organizational commitment among hospital physicians.

Analysis of the Impact of Mobile Office Technology on Organizational Collaboration

  • The rapid deployment of smart mobile equipments such as mobile phones and mobile note pads is considered a driving force to change several aspects of today's work life in organizations. Among all, this paper focuses on organizational collaboration as collaboration is a key aspect of organizational performance and success and is considered to be affected by digitally mediated communication. A questionnaire survey was performed to analyze the impact of the use of modern mobile office technology on productivity increase under the context of organizational collaboration. Some specific functions of mobile office technology were found to significantly affect the productivity. In addition, different requirements for desired collaboration were found to be associated with the use of different functions of mobile office technology and different situational use of the technology. Organizational and technical implications of the findings are discussed.

공정성이 조직효과성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증 연구 (A Study on the Impact of Organization Justice, and Organizational Effectiveness)

  • This study has uncovered some important relationships among employees perceptions of distributive justice and procedural justice and organizational effectiveness. The present study attempts, first, to identify the perceived justice in promotion and transfer, performance evaluation, pay raise, job allocation and job fire. Second, to determine the relative importance of distributive justice and procedural justice. relationships of organizational effectiveness. The research is the identification of a modest but significant relationship between the two justice and organizational effectiveness. The result make it clear that employee find that right personnel management of fairness. To summarize the result of three variables's relationship influence is as below. The results indicated that perceptions of procedural justice as much organizational effectiveness than do perceptions of distributive justice. As also predicted, the perception of distributive justice did not impact organizational effectiveness. Therefore, Partially supporting the hypothesis. The research implications of these study suggest that great causality should be this paper' research model in three variables. The result indicate that manager must pay attention to employees perceptions of procedural justice and distributive justice.

  • Data were collected from employees(N=155) working in manufacturing industry to assess the impact of safety climate on job satisfaction, organizational citizenship behavior, and intention to turnover. Subordinate dimensions of the safety climate measured in our study were management value, immediate supervisor, safety communication, safety training, and safety practice. The results show that management value and immediate supervisor, of safety climate's dimensions, impact on job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. Intention to turnover was influenced by only immediate supervisor.

  • 본 연구는 중국 충칭지역의 호텔 구성원들을 대상으로 관리자의 리더십이 조직 혁신 행동에 미치는 영향을 연구하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 중국의 현지호텔 244명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 SPSS 23.0을 통해 변혁적 · 거래적 리더십과 심리적 임파워먼트, 조직 혁신 행동의 구조적 관계를 규명하였다. 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 변혁적 · 거래적 리더십은 조직 혁신 행동에 정(+)에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 변혁적 · 거래적 리더십은 심리적 임파워먼트에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 셋째, 심리적 임파워먼트는 조직 혁신 행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 심리적 임파워먼트는 변혁적 · 거래적 리더십과 조직혁신 행동 간의 부분적으로 매개역할을 하는 것으로 분석되었다. 결과에 따르면 관리자들이 변혁적 · 거래적 리더십의 적극적인 실천으로 조직의 혁신을 이루는데 기여할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 향후 연구에서는 리더십 유형을 확대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

조직적 상황이 ERP시스템의 도입 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Organizational Context on the Performance of ERP Systems)

  • The ERP system comes to existence in the period of change. In other words, the ERP system is adopted to the company with BPR project. In general, the ERP system is introduced to companies as packages rather than in-housing systems. There are several researches in IS literatures which have a conclusion that organizational context affects the performance of ERP system. This study attempts to review the organizational context from the prospective of organizational structure and change management. Regarding the organizational structure, we choose some widely known variables such as the degree of formalization and centralization. For the analysis of change management, we set the variables, which are the most importantly considered, such as the power of CEO's promotion and user participation. The extent of customizing is introduced as moderating variables between the organizational context and the implementation performance. With collected data, we performed the reliability test, the factor analysis and the regression analysis. In summary, the introduction of an information system such as ERP system has a behavioral and organizational impact. The organizational change may breed resistance and opposition and can lead to the failure of the system. Therefore, implementation of the system requires careful change management, active involvement of users and high level of management support.
