  • In this rapidly changing era of infinite competition, many companies highlight the importance of internal resources to secure competitiveness. Especially in the service industry, because hotel employees provide service face-to-face with customers, their attitude at the moment of truth directly affects the customers satisfaction and consequently it is directly related to the survival and development of organization. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of transformational leadership of hotel managers on self-efficacy, organizational commitment, and job performance. This research aims to provide theoretical and practical implications through the exercise of manager's leadership in the hotel industry. As a result of the analysis, transformational leadership, self-efficacy, and organizational commitment have partially significant positive(+) effect on job performance. Thus, hotel managers should present a strong vision, establish the sense of target and show a careful and persistent interest on individuals to derive voluntary participation and creativity.

  • The purpose of this study is to enhance the competitiveness of jewelry distribution company by analyzing the effect of workers' motivations on workers' job engagement and workers' job engagement on job satisfaction and organizational commitment.A survey was conducted from October 2023 to November 2023 for workers of jewelry distribution company in Korea. Factor analysis and Regression analysis were performed on the collected 242 questionnaires using the SPSSWIN ver. 18.0 program. As a result of the analysis of this study, first, the intrinsic (enjoyment, challenge, achievement) and extrinsic motives (recognition, rewards, promotion) of jewelry distribution company worker had a positive effect on job engagement (absorption, dedication, vitality). Second, the job engagement of worker had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Third, the job engagement of worker had a positive effect on organizational commitment.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of social enterprise's shared value creation on corporate performance and to develop policy measures to enhance competitiveness of social enterprises. The main results and implications are as follows. First, according to the general characteristics of social enterprises, the difference between shared value creation and organizational performance was not statistically significant. In other words, although the social enterprise has various organizational characteristics, it does not differ from the shared value creation or the organizational performance that it creates. The rapid increase of social enterprises led to a rapid increase in various types of social enterprises, but there is no difference between shared value creation and organizational performance. Second, the results of analyzing the impact of shared value creation on the organizational performance of social enterprises revealed that social performance was statistically significant influenced by re-recognition of product market and regional cluster among sub-factors of shared value creation. Among the sub-factors of social enterprise's economic performance, the re-recognition of the product market had a statistically significant effect on the overall organizational performance of social enterprises. Among the sub-factors of shared value creation. In the future, it will be necessary to make effort to improve corporate performance by introducing the concept of shared value creation for social enterprise and making policy efforts to activate it.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the impact of self-leadership by worker in social enterprises and profit enterprise. For this purpose, 36 social enterprises and commercial enterprises in Chungcheongnam-do and 303 workers were surveyed. Main results are as follows. First, the workers in social enterprises and profit enterprises have many different characteristics. The workers who work in social enterprise is more women, less educated and were the elderly than profit enterprise. This is the reason that social enterprises are employing women, elderly and vulnerable groups by the government's social work support policy. Second, self leadership and all organizational Performance areas in social enterprises is higher than that of profit companies. Third, self-leadership in social enterprise and profit enterprise has positive effect on organizational performance. Therefore, in order to improve the organizational performance of social enterprises must share organizational vision and goals for the workers. It will increase the organizational competitiveness.   • Social enterprise in Korea has faced with many problems such as small size, management capability, lack of technology and weak ability to obtain resources despite its quantitative growth, raising concern over sustainability of social enterprises. Despite such tough environment, unique feature of social enterprise, differentiated from commercial enterprise is that it has clear social mission. In addition, social enterprise has the organizational feature in that vulnerable social group of workers coexists with ordinary workers, and plays a role of helping independence of vulnerable social group. Due to this feature, successful organizational socialization of members in social enterprise is a very important feature. Based on assumption that social mission of social enterprise can be utilized as the unique competitiveness of social enterprise through vision-sharing in the organization, and may give positive effects on successful organizational socialization of organization members, this study aims to conduct empirical research on relationship between vision-sharing and organizational socialization and to explore mediation effects of organizational health as organizational environmental element in relationship between vision sharing and organizational socialization. This study was conducted on 156 employees working at social enterprises. As a result of study, first, vision sharing is found to have positive effects on organizational socialization at social enterprises. Second, vision sharing in social enterprise has positive effects on organizational health. Third, vitality and community-oriented in social enterprise are found to have mediation effects among lower elements of organizational health in relationship between vision sharing and organizational socialization. In conclusion, it is confirmed that the more visions of organization are shared, the more members recognize their organization healthy, resulting in successful organizational socialization. This study is meaningful in that it presents the plans for successful organizational socialization of members of social enterprise including vulnerable groups and that it is the empirical study on plans of social enterprise on human resource management.

  • The knowledge society has come to where the knowledge is the source of wealth contrary to the traditional era that labor and capital were the source of wealth. Thus, corporate is accelerating to introduce the knowledge management and to establish the knowledge management system (KMS) in order to effectively manage the knowledge that can be the source of their competitiveness. The purpose of this paper is to identify the factors which affect knowledge sharing and to prove empirically their relationships with the KMS performance. A survey was conducted and data were collected from 220 respondents of 19 organizations which have adopted KMS. Research model and related hypotheses were tested using PLS Graph 3.0. As a result of data analysis, seven hypotheses out of eleven hypotheses were supported. In particular, knowledge sharing is significantly influenced by those knowledge sharing factors such as openness, trust, training, reward system, perceived usefulness, and communication channel. Also, individual impact is significantly affected by knowledge sharing. This study is expected to provide a sound basis for understanding the importance of knowledge sharing to gain organizational as well as individual competitiveness and exploring ways to effectively share knowledge through enhancing the use of KMS in organizations.

  • This paper investigates changing processes of new product development (NPD) systems. In order to continuously develop first-class products, world wide super-class products and hit products, R&D (Research & Development) must be competitive. Firms must achieve competitiveness in terms of quality and cost by launching new products. Most films focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency of NPD process. However, sometimes, they face to the critical challenge of transforming NPD processes entirely reflecting dramatic change of their core products. Transforming of NPD process is difficult in that it involves technological and organizational changes in marketing, R&D, Engineering and manufacturing systems. The purpose of this paper is to shed light on processes and factors affecting successful transformation of new product development systems. We present a case study on the changing processes of S company's NPD process. S company has changed new product development systems successfully from a major IT equipment supplier to an automotive supplier. Empirical results show successful changes of 10 core NPD processes from understanding the market and customers process to after sales process. In case of transformation of NPD, adaption of attribute of business is crucial for success factors in the process innovation. This paper shows the bridging the gap between IT and automotive industrial dynamics and growth through adaption of two processes in the NPD.

  • In this digital age, all organizational environments force businesses to adopt Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) since these technologies have immense impact on such businesses' competitiveness and productivity. Nonetheless, the productivity and the competitiveness enjoyed by such firms vary depending on the size or the organizations, context of the country; developing or developed, and what kinds of technologies are adopted. This investigation focused on small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of Eastern province of Sri Lanka where such studies are scanty. The adoption of social media (SM) by SMEs is inclined to change how organizations operate, this calls for an investigation of the elements that impact SMEs to adopt SM and such investigation. Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework was based to understand the factors. Research approach was quantitative approach using questionnaire survey. Data were collected using online form to see 285 valid responses. Structural Equation Modelling was deployed to evaluate the proposed model. Results revealed that Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity, Observability, Competitive Intensity, Bandwagon Pressure, and Competitive Pressure were influencing, while Trialability, Top Management Support, CEO's Innovativeness did not show statistically significant influence on SMEs' social media adoption.

AHP analysis result complete charge department is serious necessity, and the CEO under direct control organizational structure was construed by thing which can bring excellent effect in operation management side of quality business side and formation.   • In the development of policies and projects for regional development, consolidating region's organization and organizational leadership that could establish and operate voluntary developmental plans along with active participations by regional people are important. There have been successful cases of regional agricultural products emphasizing regional characteristics by strengthening functions and autonomy of the local government based on the premise of increasing mealable relationship among local industries and maximizing the characteristics of local resources and local resource utilization. However, effective pursuing is difficult due to lack of organization and leadership. Centering around local units with their importance recognized playing the core role in the development of rural areas, other important issues are activating civic organizations essential for local development based on town units and agricultural amenity resources in rural areas by seeking methods of rearing organizational leadership, improving rural incomes by strengthening local competitiveness through environmentally-friendly agricultural products based on local units, and developing and activating farm experience related with green tour. The types of organization and leaders are analyzed by investigating approved cases of farm experience. According to the results of the analysis, we seek the methods of promoting organizations and leaders for promoting farm experiences in villages and methods of constructing support organizations for promoting farm experience centering around local government units (such as city, Kun, Eup, Myun and village).
