A Study on Effective Competitive Intelligence of Korean Firms (국내기업의 효과적 경쟁정보활동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of elements related to the competitive intelligence(CI) process, methods, and infrastructure in accordance with the degree of CI effectiveness of domestic firms and to propose a guideline for designing and operating an effective CI program in Korean films. The results of this study reveal that, for the elevation of CI effectiveness of Korean firms, it is important to actively utilize the overall CI process, including undisclosed information through human networks, public information through various media, and quantitative and qualitative analyses, an independent CI unit, various CI support systems, such as information and reward systems, and organizational culture of CI openness within an organization. However, CI outsourcing, CI primary objectives, and CI scale do not seem to have a significant influence on CI effectiveness of Korean firms. Based on these results, this research presents some important implications for effective competitive intelligence for Korean firms.

The Relationship of HOME to Preschool Children's Developmental Levels (가정환경 자극검사(HOME)와 학령전 아동의 발달 수준과의 관계)

  • This study examined the characteristics of the relationship of home environment variables and preschool children's intelligence, learning readiness and socio-emotional developments. The subjects of this study were 63 children at age five and their mothers. Instruments included the children's intelligence test, preschool inventory for learning readiness, the socio-emtional rating scale and the inventory of HOME. The data of the present study were analyzed by the statistical methods of Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient and step-wise multiple regression analysis. The kinds of HOME variables that significantly predict children's intelligence were "need gratification and avoidance of restriction" "quality of language environment" "play materials" "aspects of physical environment" "organization of stable and predictable environment". The variables that significantly predict children's socio-emotional developments were "breath of experience" "fostering maturity and independence" "developmental stimulation". All of the HOME variables were not significantly predict children's learning readiness. The kinds of HOME factors that significantly predict children's intelligence were factor II and factor III. Factor I predicted children's socio-emotional developments significantly. All of the HOME factors were not significantly predicted children's learning readiness.

  • The organization and position of FSO was systematically established under the Presidential Decree No. 1013 on 7 August 2004. Furthermore, the FSO has established a signal department, an intelligence department and an academy to enhance intelligence an training capabilities. The FSO has been striving to unveil itself from a clandestine agency into a pivotal organization through the use of media and its website. It is in part that FSO has tried to deepen the understanding between PSS through personnel exchange in 2004~2005 Therefore, this study will examine the history, organization and legal position focusing on the related laws of FSO, an organization trying to adjust to the global change, and study whether this model may be applied for the development of public security in Korea.

  • Knowledge management (KM) is emerging as a robust management mechanism with which an organization can remain highly intelligent and competitive in a turbulent market. Organization knowledge is at the heart of KM success. As a vehicle of acquiring organizational knowledge in a distributed decision-making environment, we applied a fuzzy cognitive map (FMM) technique and proved its effectiveness in a distributed knowledge management environment. Our approach was applied to the financial statement analysis problem, yielding a robust result.

The Relationships among Transformational Leadership, Trust in Organization, Leader's Emotional Intelligence, Members' creativity in ICT Sector (ICT기업에서 변혁적 리더십, 조직신뢰, 리더의 감성지능 및 창의성의 관계)

  • This paper investigates the relationships among transformational leadership, organizational trust, and creativity in ICT(information & communication technology) company. Also the study investigates the moderator effect of leader's emotional intelligence and the mediator effect of organizational trust in the relationships between transformational leadership and creativity. The multiple regression analysis was employed to test the hypotheses. Using survey data collected from 241 R&D department and support personnel in ICT company. The main finding of this study was as follows: First, a transformational leadership had a positive effect on employee creativity. Second, organizational trust had a positive impact on employee creativity. Third, transformational leadership had a positive effect on organizational trust. Fourth, organizational trust turned out not to mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and employee creativity. Fifth, the positive relationships between transformational leadership and employee creativity were stronger when leader's emotional intelligence was high rather than low. In particular, this review concludes with implications for future research, limitations of this study, and practical application.

  • Artificial intelligence(AI) is regarded as a key tool that can significantly contribute to innovation and improve productivity as digital transformation continues to spread rapidly. Currently, however, there is lack of understanding and empirical research on the factors that influence the adoption of AI by companies. In particular, most studies have been conducted by foreign researchers analyzing data from foreign companies, and domestic studies have limitations in terms of objectivity and timeliness. This study employs econometric methods to identify the determinants of AI adoption at the firm level. To this end, we derive the technological, organizational, and environmental context factors from the perspective of the Technology-Organization-Environment(TOE) framework as a representative theory of technology adoption factors. We then conduct a logistic regression analysis using data from 11,601 Korean firms. This study not only expands the research literature by supplementing the limitations of previous studies in Korea but also provides timely evidence and implications through empirical analysis.

The Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Dietitians in Elementary Schools (초등학교 영양사의 감성지능이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment of dietitians in elementary schools. The correlation analysis was conducted in order to examine the relationship among emotional intelligence, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to determine the impact of dietitians' emotional intelligence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The analysis results are as follows. Emotional intelligence showed a statistically significantly positive correlation with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Especially, emotional perception and emotional intelligence had a correlation coefficient of 0.774, the highest but emotional management and organizational commitment had a correlation efficient of 0.254, the lowest. As for the effect of dietitians' emotional intelligence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, emotional thinking promotion gave a statistically significantly positive impact on dietitians' organizational commitment. As dietitians' emotional function of thought and emotional management got higher, their job satisfaction got higher. As dietitians' emotional function of thought got higher, their organizational commitment got higher as well. These results recommend that development of an emotional intelligence promotion program to effectively control factors related to dietitians' emotional intelligence is necessary to enhance their job satisfaction and organization commitment in the future.

The Influences of Workplace Spirituality and Emotional Intelligence on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 일터영성과 감성지능이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : This study was done to identify the influences of workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence on the organizational citizenship behavior of clinical nurses. Methods : The subjects were 230 clinical nurses, working over 6 months in four general hospitals in three cities. Data were obtained from March 20 to March 30, 2016, with a self-report questionnaire, and analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Results : The factors related to the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses were workplace spirituality(${\beta}$=.36), emotional intelligence(${\beta}$=.29), 40 years of age or higher(${\beta}$=.26), working in a special ward(${\beta}$=.11), and turnover intention(${\beta}$=.10). These variables explained 61.6% of the variance in organizational citizenship behavior of nurses. Conclusions : In order to improve the quality of nursing services and business performance in hospital organizations, it is necessary to enhance workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence. This would lead to promoting organizational citizenship behavior through the development and application of intervention programs from a nursing organization perspective.
