DISCRIMINATION OF IN-ORDINAL STATE IN ROOM TEMPERATURE BASED ON STATISTICAL ANALYSIS

  • In this paper, an approach to determine the in-ordinal condition of a room, which is based on multi variable analysis, is proposed. According to this approach, the distance of a state from the ordinal condition is thought to be evaluated by the Mahalanobis' distance. The temperature changes of a room were measured and their statistical characteristics such as distribution type, the mean value and the standard deviation are studied. The applicability of the method for the fire detection is also investigated.

  • 인터넷에서 댓글 시스템은 자신의 의사표현을 위한 시스템으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 이를 악용하여 상대방에 대한 혐오를 드러내기도 한다. 악성댓글에 대한 적절한 대처를 위해 빠르고 정확한 탐지는 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 악성 댓글 분류 문제를 해결하기 위해서 순서가 있는 분류 레이블의 성질을 활용한 순서형 회귀 (Ordinal regression) 기반의 분류 모델을 제안한다. 일반적인 분류 모형과는 달리 혐오 발언 정도에 따라 다중 레이블을 부여하여 학습을 진행하였다. 실험을 통해 Korean Hate Speech Dataset에 대해 LSTM기반의 모형의 출력층을 다르게 구성하여 순서형 회귀 기반의 모형들의 성능을 비교하였다. 결과적으로 예측 결과에 대한 조율이 가능한 순서형 회귀 모형이 일반적인 순서형 회귀 모형에 비해서 편향된 예측에 대해 추가적인 성능 향상을 보였다.

  • The main characteristic of the ordinal scale is that its categories have a logically or continuously ordered relationship to each other. A continuous type permits measuring degrees of differences among categories. Also, the specific amount of differences is important. In this paper we consider the scoring method using a dummy variable based on distance among categories.

  • The primary interest of drug development studies is identifying the lowest dose level producing a desirable effect over that of the zero-dose control, which is referred as the minimum effective dose (MED). In this paper, we suggest a nonparametric procedure for identifying the MED with binary or ordered categorical response data. Proposed test and Williams' test are compared by Monte Carlo simulation study and discussed.

비디오 정합을 위한 오디널 특징의 유일성 및 강건성 분석 (Analysis of Uniqueness and Robustness Properties of Ordinal Signature for Video Matching)

  • 내용기반 비디오 정합은 원본의 클립에서 특징(signature)을 구한 후 복사본의 특징과 비교하여 유사도를 측정한다. 특히 정확한 위치의 프레임을 정합하는 것은 매우 중요하며 원본과 복사본의 프레임율, 잡음, 해상도, 압축형식에 따라 정합 율이 달라질 수 있다. 비디오 특징 중 오디널(ordinal) 특징은 일반적으로 우수한 정합특징을 나타내고 있으나 비디오 특징의 구별 능력을 나타내는 유일성 실험(uniqueness test)과 잡음에 대한 내성을 나타내는 강건성 실험(robustness test)이 중요한 요소로 고려되지 않았다. Hua등은 유일성 실험에서 해상도, 압축형식 등을 고려하였지만 강건성 실험에서 영상에 잡음을 첨가하는 대신 압축 형식이 변환된 영상을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 오디널 특정의 유일성 분석과 함께 실질적인 잡음 모텔을 도입하여 오디널 특징의 강건성 실험 방법을 제안하고 성능을 분석하였다.

전처리 기반 히스토그램 거리측정에 의한 효율적인 표정인식 (An Efficient Facial Expression Recognition by Measuring Histogram Distance Based on Preprocessing)

  • 본 논문에서는 전처리 기반 히스토그램 거리측정에 의한 효율적인 얼굴표정 인식기법을 제안하였다. 여기서 전처리는 중심이동과 히스토그램 평활화에 의해 인식성능을 개선하기 위함이고, 히스토그램 사이의 거리측정은 영상 상호간의 유사도를 측정하기 위함이다. 특히 중심이동은 1차 모멘트 평형에 기반을 둔 것으로 불필요한 배경을 제거시켜 위치나 크기 변화에 강건한 인식을 위함뿐만 아니라 거리의 측정부하를 줄이기 위함이다. 히스토그램 평활화는 조명의 세기에 의한 영상의 명암대비 감소에 강건한 인식을 위함이다. 제안된 기법을 320*243 픽셀의 72개(4명*18장) 표정얼굴을 대상으로 히스토그램 사이의 유사도 측정을 위해서 city-block, Euclidean, 그리고 ordinal 거리를 각각 이용하였다. 실험결과, 제안된 기법은 중심이동 및 히스토그램 평활화의 전처리를 거치지 않는 기법보다 우수한 인식성능이 있으며, ordinal 거리가 가장 높은 인식성능이 있음을 확인하였다.

관광 지역 음식점에 대한 관광객들의 선호도 평가 (Assessing Tourists' Restaurant Preferences within Tourism Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure tourists' preference for alternative restaurants with different combinations of attribute levels: grown area logo, origin description, traditional food, fusion food, national food, and price. A total of 210 questionnaires were completed. A conjoint experimental method was used to develop hypothetical restaurants, and an ordinal probit model was used to measure the effects of the attribute levels on tourists' preference. The ordinal probit model analysis results for the data indicated an excellent model fit. The effects of the attribute levels on tourists' preferences were statistically significant. As expected, estimates of the marginal willingness to pay were statistically significant Moreover, the tourists were more willing to pay for grown area logo as compared to the other attribute levels. The tourists also considered the grown area logo as a very important attribute. Withe regard to developing and testing conjoint models in the design of choice experiments involving multifactor alternatives, this study may approach a deeper understanding of the conjoint experiment. Greater understanding of the conjoint experiment can improve the managerial diagnoses of the problems as well as the opportunities for different marketing strategies including local branding programs and menu development and marketing communications.

속성 가중치에 대한 서수 정보가 주어질 때 다요소 의사결정 방법의 비교분석에 관한 연구 (Comparative Analysis of Multiattribute Decision Aids with Ordinal Preferences on Attribute Weights)

  • In a situation that ordinal preferences on multiattribute weights are captured, we present two solution approaches: an exact approach and an approximate method. The former, an exact solution approach via interaction with a decision-maker, pursues the progressive reduction of a set of non-dominated alternatives by narrowing down the feasible attribute weights region. Subsequent interactive questions and responses, however, sometimes may not guarantee the best alternative or a complete rank order of a set of alternatives that the decision-maker desires to have. Approximate solution approaches, on the other hand, can be divided into three categories including surrogate weights methods, dominance value-based decision rules, and three classical decision rules. Their efficacies are evaluated in terms of choice accuracy via a simulation analysis. The simulation results indicate that a proposed hybrid approach, intended to combine an exact solution approach through interaction and a dominance value-based approach, is recommendable for aiding a decision making in a case that a final choice is seldom made at single step under attribute weights that are imprecisely specified beyond ordinal descriptions.

관광지역 음식점에 대한 선호도에 영향을 미치는 요인 평가 (Assessing the Factors Influencing Preference for the Restaurants in Tourist Areas)

  • The objective for this research was to clarify the preference for alternative restaurants with different combinations of factor levels: local specialty food, non-local specialty food, very attentive service, moderately attentive service, not attentive service, traditional decoration, modern decoration, \10,000, \15,000, and \20,000. Total 230 copies of questionnaire were completed. Conjoint experiment method was used to develop full restaurant profiles. Ordinal probit model was used to measure the effects of factor levels on the preference. Results of the study demonstrated that the ordinal probit model analysis result for the data also indicated a good model fit. The effects of factor levels on the preference were statistically significant. As expected, the estimates of implicit price to pay were statistically significant. Moreover, the customers were more willing to pay for local specialty than other factor levels. The customers also considered the food factor as a very important factor. This research suggested that the customer's decision-making process for restaurants was best modeled as a conjoint experiment method that combines various factor levels. And it showed the results could be used as good data for understanding the relationships between the factors and preference in choosing food and restaurants in tourist areas.
