Integration and Efficiency Strategies of Evaluations for Medical Institutions (의료기관 대상 평가통합 및 효율화 방안)

  • Objectives: In Korea, there are many kinds of evaluations for medical institutions. However, evaluations are increasingly burdensome for medical institutions because evaluation agencies, evaluation timing, and evaluation methods are different. The purpose of this study is to improve the efficiency of evaluation for medical institutions and ultimately to provide quality medical services to patients. Methods: In this study, 2,310 indicators of 19 kinds of evaluation for medical institutions were analyzed. Results: 1,424 indicators were available for on-site surveys and 886 indicators were not available for on-site surveys. There were 4 kinds of evaluation that can be integrated in total, 12 kinds of evaluation that can be integrated partially, and 3 kinds of evaluation that need to maintain the current evaluation system. Conclusion: In order to provide patient-centered quality medical services through reduction of burden due to the evaluation for medical institutions, it is necessary to deeply discuss the efficiency of evaluation integration and result utilization.

  • In order to achieve the most suitable designing of shoemaking, the structure of shoemaking is described in this study by inquiring into structural and functional effects given by shoes to human feet. Also, the role of insole that is an essential portion in view of function in shoemaking is described and. for the improvement of quality the fact that selection of material of insole has an effect to quality is substantiated through experiments of adhesive tensile and absorption percentage. Though identification of the qualify of insole with the naked eyes is impossible because it is inserted between the internal layers of a shoe. It is not only an essential portion for the improvement of the quality of shoemaking but it gives an essential effect to the sanitation and health of human body(feet) when insole of lower qualify is used. In view of these the improvement and enhancement of the quality of home-made material of insole are earnestly required.

  • First, in order to improve selecting method of quality characteristic level desired by customers, S/H(Signal-to-Noise) ratio of Taguchi in larger-the-better characteristics was applied. Second, the Matrix classification standard of ACE(Attribute Categorization Evaluation) is presented using KANO model on difference analysis of importance and satisfaction through questionnaire from customers. This is for reflecting the diverse EC which customers want in EC quality sufficiently. Also, establishing sales point will be helpful in business strategy through presenting types that are able to decide planning quality. Third, the important measure of EC about correlation among quality characteristics and a new weight o( EC are calculated depending on importance of EC and the weight of customer attribute and materials of relationship matrix through correlation matrix analysis.

  • Tool life in cold forging is influenced by tool quality as well as forging conditions and quality of forging material. This paper presents some typical examples of tool life improvement in aspect of tool quality depending on tool design and tool manufacturing parameters. For the purpose of improving tool life, suggestions should be based on accurate understanding of tool operating conditions in cold forging process. FE simulation known as CAE is effective in order to make clear the conditions by some numerically calculated result.

Balanced bitrate control of multiple videos in transcoding for multi-view service

  • In this paper, a balanced bitrate control in transcoding process based on video complexity measure for multi-view system which simultaneously shows multiple channels or video contents in single screen, is proposed. In order to consider the total quality of multiple video streams, the proposed algorithm reduces the complexity of multiple video stream and video quality differences at the same time by controlling bitrates of each stream by weighting when they are stitched for single screen. For the measure of complexity and quality differences between video streams, two different data: histogram of macroblock type and bitrate for each stream are used. The experimental result indicates that proposed algorithm decreases fluctuation of quality difference between videos in the multi-view system.

Quality Characteristics of Maejakgwa with added Ligularia fischeri Powder (곰취 분말을 첨가한 매작과의 품질 특성)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the quality characteristics of maejakgwa prepared with Ligularia fischeri powder (0, 1, 3, 5, 7%) as a substitute for flour. The pH of maejakgwa dough significantly decreased in response to the addition of all levels of Ligularia fischeri powder. Spread factor values and water contents increased significantly with increasing amounts of Ligularia fischeri powder. In addition, the Hunter color L, a and b values decreased significantly with increasing amounts of Ligularia fischeri powder. Furthermore, hardness was increased significantly as the level of Ligularia fischeri powder increased. DPPH free radical scavenging activity increased significantly as the content of Ligularia fischeri powder increased (p<0.05). Finally, the results of the sensory properties indicated that maejakgwa containing 3% Ligularia fischeri powder had the highest scores. These results suggest that Ligularia fischeri powder can be applied to maejakgwa in order to achieve high quality and functionality.

  • The purpose of this study is to contribute to escalation of a management quality of local public enterprise through integrating local public enterprise evaluation(LPEE) and Malcolm Baldrige Model(MBM). In order to achieve the purpose, I suggested that develop an integration model of LPEE and MBM criteria and use AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) as a technique posting weight value to criteria. Of two suggests, it is the former to date or discuss seriously. Therefore the integration model is redesigned for leadership/strategy category(leadership, strategy), management system category(customer management system, business management system, measurement/knowledge management system), and management result category(business result, customer satisfaction result, human resource management result, financial management result).

  • As the importance of recycled materials is being emphasized more in the Korean construction market, the production quality has been improved to a significantly high level. Compared to the high quality, however, there are used very limitedly. Among recycled construction materials, recycled aggregates produced through the retreatment of waste concrete are drawing attention because of lack of natural aggregate and heightened consciousness of resource saving and environmental protection and, as a consequence, they are close to natural aggregates in terms of production technology and quality. Despite the high quality and productivity, however,. the utilization of recycled aggregates is very low. Thus, in order to maximize the utility of recycled aggregates, the present study examined the usability of recycled aggregates using both recycled coarse aggregates and recycled fine aggregates together and derived optimal quantity and mixture ratio in the combined use of the two types of recycled aggregate.

Influence of Roasting Treatment on the Antioxidant Activities and Color of Burdock Root Tea

  • The major trend in the antioxidant market is the growing consumer demand for natural antioxidants. Tea, one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world, is an easy way to obtain antioxidant components from a natural source. Our objective was to develop burdock root tea (BRT) with potent antioxidant activity and good color quality. In order to obtain maximum antioxidant activity and quality, the effect of roasting was determined. The antioxidant capacities and total phenolic contents of BRT increased as roasting increased. The color of BRT became darker with increased roasting, extraction time, and amount of burdock roots. Color of BRT was also positively correlated with total antioxidant capacity. Roasting significantly enhanced the total antioxidant activities and color quality of BRT. These results suggest that roasting BRT increases beneficial antioxidant components from burdock roots.

  • New internet trend, such as Web 2.0, has brought about new roles of users and changes in the web ecosystem. In the age of information overload like nowadays, activities in the brand community sites help to make more reasonable decisions in choosing certain brands and products. In order to examine organizational strategic aspects of brand community, this study examine (1) what difference exists in user satisfaction according to the brand community types (the user-initiated type and the corporate-established type), and (2) which dimensions of service quality affect brand community users' satisfaction. Research findings show that types of brand community influence perceived user satisfaction, and tangibility, reliability, interactivity, and stability dimensions of service quality make a positive influence on user satisfaction as well. Practical implications for managing brand community sites in marketing perspectives are further discussed.
