임플란트 환자의 잇솔질 교육경험에 따른 유지관리행태 연구 (Study of maintenance behavior based on the experience of the tooth brushing instruction for implant patient)

  • Objectives : This study aims to provide the basic data for the maintenance and management of healthy implants through finding out the educational experience of toothbrushing and the oral hygiene management for the implant patients and to determine the maintenance measure. Methods : From April 1 to october 1, 2012, 250 patients in the dental clinic in Daejeon completed the self-reported questionnaire. Results : As for the educational experience of toothbrushing, 66.4 percent received the training for toothbrushing and 33.6 percent had not received the training for toothbrushing. Those who brushed three times a day accounted for 74.1 percent. Those who received the training for toothbrushing comprised 56.0 percent and took regular check up of every 6 months. Approximately 50.0% received regular scaling service every 6 months. Periodical medical check up comprised 55.6% among those who received toothbrushing education. Approximately 63.9% thought that periodical medical check up is the most important to maintain oral health. Conclusions : There were important factors for oral health. They were tooth-brushing, the utilization of various oral hygienic products, and the awareness of importance of oral hygiene management. The customized education program for the general public should be implemented as regular as possible.

치위생(학)과의 치과의료커뮤니케이션 교육 현황 분석 (Dental communication training courses in dental hygiene schools in Korea)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status and contents of communication courses in dental hygiene programs in South Korea. Methods: Survey on dental communication training courses was done, and 51 schools (62.2%) responded among a total of 82 dental hygiene schools in Korea. The questionnaire was sent via e-mail and additional telephone calls were used to facilitate response. Statistical analysis and frequency analysis were done through SPSS 23.0 for windows program (copyright(c) SPSS Inc., USA). Results: The current establishment rates of dental communication courses in 3-year or 4-year dental hygiene programs were 96.9% and 84.2%, respectively. Such courses were identified as graduation requirement courses in 38.7% of the 3-year hygiene programs and 62.5% of the 4-year dental hygiene programs. When practical training sessions are included within such courses, 70% of such courses included 'discussion and presentation' and 'audio-visual aids' as a part of their contents, while 48.3% of them were utilizing 'role-playing'. Conclusions: As dental communication is one of the most important core competencies of dental hygienists, it should be included as a required course for graduation, and practical training such as 'role-playing' should be implemented in order to enhance communication skills in students.

치과위생사의 재가방문 구강건강관리 중재 활동을 위한 프로토콜 고찰 (Oral health care intervention protocol for older adults at home in dental hygienists: a narrative literature review)

  • Objectives: This study aims to propose a standard protocol for oral health care intervention activities by dental hygienists. Methods: A narrative literature review of home visit oral health care intervention activities reported in Cheonan, South Korea was conducted to enable the proposal of a standard home visit protocol for dental hygienists in the context of community care. Results: Oral health management intervention activities contributed to improving the quality of life, as well as the oral health, of older adults living at home. This was a result of applying a protocol consisting of oral observation, oral massage, expert oral hygiene management, oral muscle function training, and final stages. Conclusions: The visiting oral health intervention protocol was effective in resolving oral health problems of older adults. In the future, customized programs and reimbursement systems should be developed to promote oral health care for older adults that can be provided at home.

일부 병원 중환자실 간호사의 구강보건의식 및 행태 (Some Hospitals and ICU Nurses Awareness of Oral Health Behavior)

  • Nurses' oral health awareness and oral health status and learn about better oral health care and further explore ways to improve awareness of oral care supplies to patients to oral care can help to establish a basis for is for the sole purpose. Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gyeongsang, Jeolla, Chungcheong located in 228 people in the ICU nurses using a questionnaire on oral health awareness and management behavior were investigated. Using oral hygiene aids to living in a residential home, according to the respondents from the two was significant association (p<0.05), oral hygiene, tooth brushing behavior and the use of aids in the relevance of the educational experience, depending on how brushing brushing, depending on how experienced oral there was significant association with the use products, dental products, depending on the path of tooth brushing training methods used were relevant and significant, depending on the state of your oral health, dental supplies used was associated with a significant (p<0.05).

초등학교 보건교사의 구강보건교육 진단 (Diagnostic Analysis on Oral Health Education of Primary School's Health Teacher)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 구강건강을 담당하고 있는 보건교사를 대상으로 PRECEDE model을 이용하여 구강보건교육 실태와 요구하는 내용을 파악함으로써 초등학교 구강건강증진을 향상하고자 한다. 광주광역시 초등학교 보건교사 전수 114명을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 1. 행동적 진단에서는 구강보건교육 비중은 10% 이하(58.8%)로 주로 재량활동시간(86.0%)에 이루어지며, 보건교사가 필요할 때 실시(53.5%)하였다. 지난 1년간 시행한 구강보건교육은 78.1%였으며, 학년별로 3학년이 77.2%로 가장 높았으며, 5학년 55.3%, 1학년 50.9%였다. 2. 교육적 진단의 준비 인자에서는 보건교육의 8분야 중 구강보건교육은 4,5순위였다. 다음해에도 계속 수행하고자 하는 사업에서 구강보건교육은 21.9%였으며, 세부주제로 잇솔질, 치아우식증, 치아외상과 응급처치가 80.0%정도 필요하다로 나타났다. 3. 교육적 진단의 실현 인자에서는 매년 구강보건교육 연수 경험율 13.2%, 만족도는 33.3% 였다. 구강보건교육 정보 수집 경로는 교사용 지도서(72.8%), 인터넷(52.6%)였으며, 구강보건교육 자료 수집 경로는 보건교육학회 및 관련단체(56.0%), 스스로 제작(41.0%)순이었다. 4. 교육적 진단의 강화성 인자에서는 정규 교육과정 중 구강보건관련 내용이 부족(46.7%), 교육에 필요한 자료가 부족(30.6%), 교육을 실시 기회부족(21.4%)이 장애 요소였다. 구강보건교육을 활성화시키는데 관련된 요인 중 전문가 초청(43.0%), 선배나 동료 협조 (35.1%)였다. 이상과 같은 결론에서, 구강보건교육 교재, 자료 및 방법이 개발되어야 하며, 초등학교 보건교사의 구강보건교육을 체계화 시키기 위한 제도적 장치가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

노인 대상 스마트폰 앱 콘텐츠를 이용한 구강 근력 강화 훈련의 기능 개선 효과 (Effects of smartphone app-based oral muscle strength training on functional improvement in the elderly)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 스마트폰 앱을 이용한 구강근력 강화훈련 교육 콘텐츠를 개발하고 노인들에게 적용한 후 효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 훈련은 2023년 8월 말부터 10월 초까지 6주 동안 총12회를 적용하였다. 수행 장소는 참여 대상자의 소속기관이며, 1회당 소요시간은 약60분이었다. 연구결과: 구강건강 증진 효과는 치면세균막(p<0.05), 치은염(p<0.001), 설태(p<0.01), 타액분비량(p<0.001)에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 프로그램 실시 전에 비해 치면세균막은 0.69 감소, 치은염은 0.99 감소, 설태는 1.11 감소, 타액 분비량은 0.73 증가하였다. 사후 두 그룹간의 비교에서도 치면세균막(p<0.001), 치은염(p<0.001), 설태(p<0.05)는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 구강근력 강화 효과는 전방부 혀 근력(p<0.001)과 후방부 혀 근력(p<0.01)에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 전방부 혀 근력은 5.25 증가, 후방부 혀 근력은 6.82 증가하였다. 결론: 본 연구에서 개발한 스마트폰 앱 콘텐츠는 일상생활에서 노인의 구강건강 증진에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각되며, 이를 위해서는 개발된 콘텐츠를 알리고 노인들이 잘 활용할 수 있도록 훈련하는 과정이 필요하다.

국내 장애인의 구강 관련에 대한 문헌고찰(2000년-2015년) (Literature review on oral health among people with disabilities in Korea (2000-2015))

  • Objectives: This study consisted of a literature review on oral health among people with disabilities, and to present the factors that should be considered in developing an oral health program for people with disabilities. Methods: The key words 'people with disabilities' and 'oral health' were searched in 4 Korean academic journals and 5 online search engines and a total of 635 papers were identified. Duplicate papers were removed, and the literature selection criteria were applied to the remaining papers. Finally, a total of 45 papers were used in the review. Results: First, people with disabilities were the most common research subjects, followed by dental students, dental hygiene students, dentists, dental hygienist and guardians and special education teachers. Second, the most frequently studied research topic was dental examination, followed by oral health behavior and behavior of using dental clinics. Third, research purposes included the status of oral health, the quality of oral health, dental treatment, the use of oral health service, and oral hygiene behavior and perception. Fourth, the most frequently discussed policy task was expansion of research subjects, followed by oral hygiene and policy development. Conclusions: To enhance the oral health of people with disabilities who have difficulty in keeping their teeth clean and healthy on their own, development of an oral hygiene training program is required not only for people with disabilities, but also for guardians and teachers. It is equally important to examine oral health behavior that could potentially affect the status of oral health and create a more accurate and systematic oral hygiene method. In addition, the government, together with various other research institutes, should conduct an oral health survey of a representative sample of people with disabilities to determine oral health status and facilitate improvements to oral hygiene programs.

강원도 초등학교 구강보건교육 실태 (Oral Health Education Status of Elementary School in Gangwon-Do)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data for p lanning oral health education in elementary schol. Methods conducted using a postal, self-administered questionnaire. A questionnaire containing 19 questions about oral health education which was provided by health teachers in elementary schol was used for data colle ction. Total response rate was 64.3% (119 out of 185). Results : Oral health education except one through textbooks was conduc of which taught oral health themselves. The contents of oral he alth education through special clas was mainly focusing on the tothbrushing method, dental caries, and the use of fluo ride. Acording to the grades clasified by the level of education, the order was the 3rd, 1st, and 2nd grade, which mea ns that the lower grades got more training than the h was acquired through the internet (72.2%), health-related organizations or academies (51.5%). Also, materi als for oral health education were obtained from health-related organizations or academies (67%), self-productio n (49.5%). According to the data during the past 5 years it was found that 13.4% health teachers had oral health-related that more traing neded to be conducted from 89.7% health tea chers. The most dificult problem in oral health education were insufficient time (56.7%). Conclusion : For effective oral health education, there needs a developmen t of targeted goal to achieve a systemic oral health education for each grades as wel as a ned for as health teachers to eficiently acquire knowledge and materials for oral health education, it is necessary to hold regular workshops for health teachers, and develop and distribute appro priate educational materials.

부모의 구강건강지식이 유아의 구강건강에 미치는 영향 (Influence of parents' knowledge for oral hygiene on the oral health of their infants)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to research and to analyze the relationship between oral health state of infants and oral health awareness of their parents. Methods : The study has been conducted for 196 infants ranging from the age 18 to 60 month and their parents who have visited three dental clinics in Gyeongju city. The questionnaire has been made to identify the parents' oral health knowledge and behavior, while the dentist has examined the dental care, toothbrushing, and malocclusion of infants. Results : According to the results, it has been found out that there is correlation between subject's health status and oral health status where the higher point of subject's health status lead to the point of oral health status accordingly. Also it has been additionally recognized that there is the relationship between the awareness of parents and the oral health status of their infants in the same way. Conclusions : The parents who have low oral health awareness are required by oral health professionals to be provided with information on infant oral health, in order to promote and to maintain healthy oral status of their infants. And the specific training on method how to care oral health is needed. In addition, the government should take the detailed measures by extending infant's medical benefits to draw their attention to the issue.

일부지역 60대 이상 노인의 구강건강관리행태에 따른 주관적인 구강건강인식과 구강건강지식도 (Subjective Awareness of Oral Health and Oral Health Knowledge in Accordance Oral Healthcare Behavior of Seniors Over 60 in Some Areas)

  • 본 연구는 일부지역 60대 이상 노인을 대상으로 구강건강관리행태에 따른 주관적인 구강건강인식과 구강 건강지식도의 관련성을 알아보고자 조사하였다. 설문 조사는 경북에 거주하는 60세 이상의 노인을 대상으로 2016년 9월 1일부터 12월 30일까지 실시하였고, 총 442부를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 자료의 분석은 SPSS WIN 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, t-test, ANOVA 등을 실시하였다. 구강건강관리행태에 따른 주관적인 구강건강인식은 칫솔질을 전체적으로 잘 닦을수록, 칫솔질 시간이 길수록 높았으며(p<.05), 구강건강관리실태에 따른 구강건강지식도는 칫솔질 교육을 받은 경우 높았다(p<.05). 이상과 같은 결과를 바탕으로 노인들의 구강건강증진을 위해서는 올바른 구강건강관리행태를 위한 지속적인 교육이 이루어져 구강에 대한 주관적인 구강 건강인식과 구강건강지식도를 높여주어야 할 것이다.
