It is essential to carry out an economic analysis on public water supply projects so that policy makers and water enterprises are aware of the actual value of the project. However, many popular approaches based on discounted cash flow analysis do not capture the uncertainties inherent in cash flow. In order to analyze the economic values of the water supply project of local governments, we utilize real option model, which considers uncertainty in future water price behavior and captures the value of real life flexibility. The real option model is designed to incorporate the option to expand and abandon, and it is applied to a local government case. Furthermore, we assess the project by exploring Luehrman's option space to accommodate the more efficient decision making. The results show that substantial amount of potential value is included in the public water supply service, and the overall value is greater than the value obtained from the discounted cash flow model.

The purpose of this paper is to propose several approximating methods to obtain the American option prices under jump-diffusion processes. The first method is to extend an approximating method to the optimal exercise boundary by a multipiece exponential function suggested by Ju [17]. The second approach is to modify the analytical methods of MacMillan [20] and Zhang [25] in a discrete time space. The third approach is to apply the simulation technique of Ibanez and Zapareto [14] to the problem of American option pricing when the jumps are allowed. Finally, we compare the numerical performance of each suggesting method with those of the previous numerical approaches.

By definition of RFC 2018, each segments block of data queued at the data receiver is defined in the SACK option by two 32-bit unsigned integers in network byte order. Since TCP Options field has a 40-byte maximum length, when error bursts occur we note that the limitation of maximum available option space may not be sufficient to report all blocks present in the receiver's queue and lead to unnecessarily force the TCP sender to retransmit packets that have actually been received but not carried related information in SACK option field. For overcoming this restriction, in this paper, a new solution is designed to further improve the performance of TCP SACK and prevent those unwanted retransmissions. Simulation result shows that the implementation of our proposal is effective.

It is anticipated that there will be radical disputes over land ownership in the event of the advent of the era of UAM. As such, policy alternative is presented by analyzing and researching relevant laws at home and abroad on the means of legislating 'Regulations on compensation for use of air space above land' in preparation of such occurrence. As the results of the study, it is deemed to limit the range of the land ownership in accordance with UAM operation as follows. First, it is proposed to newly enact regulation to limit the ownership of air space of land owner to the public space above the elevation of 200m as stipulated under the Article 78 of the Aviation Safety Act. Second, as the result of analysis made for the option of making compensation from the perspective of the property right of land ownership and option of not making compensation from the perspectives of public interest and concerns in the event of operation of UAM within the air space below the elevation of 200m, it is deemed that legislative decision is necessary through more extensive studies in the future.

기계학습(Machine Learning)은 인공 지능의 한 분야로, 데이터를 이용하여 기계를 학습시켜 기계 스스로가 데이터 분석 및 예측을 하게 만드는 것과 관련한 컴퓨터 과학의 한 영역을 일컫는다. 그중에서 SVM(Support Vector Machines)은 주로 분류와 회귀 분석을 목적으로 사용되는 모델이다. 어느 두 집단에 속한 데이터들에 대한 정보를 얻었을 때, SVM 모델은 주어진 데이터 집합을 바탕으로 하여 새로운 데이터가 어느 집단에 속할지를 판단해준다. 최근 들어서 많은 금융전문가는 기계학습과 막대한 데이터가 존재하는 금융 분야와의 접목 가능성을 보며 기계학습에 집중하고 있다. 그러면서 각 금융사는 고도화된 알고리즘과 빅데이터를 통해 여러 금융업무 수행이 가능한 로봇(Robot)과 투자전문가(Advisor)의 합성어인 로보어드바이저(Robo-Advisor) 서비스를 발 빠르게 제공하기 시작했다. 따라서 현재의 금융 동향을 고려하여 본 연구에서는 기계학습 방법의 하나인 SVM을 활용하여 매매성과를 올리는 방법에 대해 제안하고자 한다. SVM을 통한 예측대상은 한국형 변동성지수인 VKOSPI이다. VKOSPI는 금융파생상품의 한 종류인 옵션의 가격에 영향을 미친다. VKOSPI는 흔히 말하는 변동성과 같고 VKOSPI 값은 옵션의 종류와 관계없이 옵션 가격과 정비례하는 특성이 있다. 그러므로 VKOSPI의 정확한 예측은 옵션 매매에서의 수익을 낼 수 있는 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 지금까지 기계학습을 기반으로 한 VKOSPI의 예측을 다룬 연구는 없었다. 본 연구에서는 SVM을 통해 일 중의 VKOSPI를 예측하였고, 예측 내용을 바탕으로 옵션 매매에 대한 적용 가능 여부를 실험하였으며 실제로 향상된 매매 성과가 나타남을 증명하였다.

GPS Receiver는 위성에 위치 정보와 시간 정보등을 제공하고 navigation을 관리하며 이에 관련된 signal을 processing하는 역할을 한다. 2005년에 발사 예정인 KOMPSAT-2 위성에는 Alcatel에서 제작된 Topstar 3000이 사용된다. Topstar 3000은 RF 부분과 digital 처리부분으로 구성된 GPS core부분과 MLD-STD_1553, DC-DC converter, 그리고 Ovened-controlled Oscillator(OCXO)부분으로 구성되는 option module 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 GPS Signal Simulator로 KOMPSAT-2의 실제 궤도를 구현해서 Sun-Point Mode와 Earth-Point Mode 등 여러가지 Mode 에서 GPS Receiver의 시간, 위치, 속도 정보의 정확성에 대한 성능이 분석된다.

Single Point Diamond Turning (SPDT) is a cost-effective technique to fabricate metallic mirrors. In particular, the servo-assisted diamond turning option is highly useful for the fabrication of freeform surfaces. However, the SPDT process leaves periodic tool marks on machined mirror surfaces, leading to undesirable diffraction effect, as well as the deviation of input beam. In order to solve this problem, we propose new SPDT machining conditions to minimize tool marks. We will also show the results from optical measurement and Power Spectral Density (PSD) analysis to evaluate the expectable performance for applications in wide field infrared telescopes.

전신적 혹은 국소적 원인에 의해 발생하는 치아맹출지연은 대부분 소아기에 발견되어 교정적 정출을 이용한 치료를 진행한다. 하지만 소아기때 치료를 받지 못하고 성인기로 될 경우, 교정에 의한 치아이동이 어려워지기 때문에 보철수복으로 치료를 변경할 수 있다. 보철계획을 결정하기 전 고려사항으로는 치아상실이 나타난 범위, 치아사이 근원심공간 및 악간공간, 환자의 연령대 등이 있다. 이 논문에서는 상하악 구치부 맹출지연환자를 지르코니아 부분 고정성 보철물을 통해 구강회복한 증례를 소개하고자 한다.

Recently, China & Japan have expanded their responding ADIZ(Air Defence Identification Zone) to implement each Government's maritime policy and to project their Air Power in preparation for maritime provocation & contingency, especially over the piled area where East Asia countries have claimed to have maritime jurisdiction one another. So this is to guide the Development Option for Korea Air Defence Identification Zone to cope with the maritime intentions of the neighboring countries, considering the international law for ADIZ, the maritime policy and the maritime sovereign & jurisdiction area of the Republic of Korea, etc.

최근 루나 게이트웨이의 선구자 임무인 CAPSTONE이 NRHO에서 통신 및 항법 기술 시연을 위해 소형발사체로 발사됨에 따라 전용 소형발사체와 소형위성을 이용하여 심우주 임무를 가능하게 한 이번 행사가 큰 주목을 받았다. 본 연구에서는 소형발사체 이중발사 운영개념이 소개하고, 달, 화성 및 소행성 탐사를 위한 새로운 개념의 가능성을 검토했다. 단독발사로 달 저궤도 임무에 약 247 kg을, 이중발사로 화성 및 소행성 아포피스와 같은 목적지에 각각 215 kg 및 183 kg을 수송할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.
