Li$_2$O-MgO-MgF$_2$-SiO$_2$계 Glass-Ceramics 의 유전특성에 관한 연구 (The study on dielectric Properties of Li$_2$O-MgO-MgF$_2$-SiO$_2$system glass ceramics)

  • In this study, crystallization, water swelling and dielectric properties of Li$_2$O-MgO-MgF$_2$-SiO$_2$System glass ceramics were investigated. Base glass melted at 1450$^{\circ}C$ and crystallized through heat treatment. The optimum heat treatment schedule was 460$^{\circ}C$ for nucleation and 640$^{\circ}C$, 1100$^{\circ}C$ for crystallization. The Principle crystalline phase was lithium fluorhectorite. Lithium fluorhectorite was the crystal phase which it was influenced water swelling. Samples progressed 2 minutes later they have rapid hydration at forced water swelling condition. Also value of dielectric constants have approximately 10 at 100kHz.

  • The etching characteristics of Er-doped sodium borosilicate glass film for the planar optical waveguides were investigated using reactive ion etching. The etch rate decreased as the pressure in creased but increased as the RF power increased. The etch rate increased as the flow rate C2F gas and the amount of O2 addition increased but decreased over critical point (C2F6 7,5 accm O2 20%) The etch rate was 180${\AA}$/min under C2F6 7.5 sccm O2 20% RF power 270 W, pressure 150 mTorr. With this optimum etching condition and subsequent heat treatment at 975$^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes planar optical waveguides having improved sidewall roughness were fabricated successfully.

  • The weathered two-mica granite is widely distributed in Korea and called a kind of ground rock for kaolin. The major minerla compositions are consist of this quartz, feldspar, mica and clay mineral. At present, only a small portion of this granite is used as the material for the low-grade tile industry due to the low S.K. value and the high contents of impurities such as Fe2O3 and FeO. The low S.K. value is caused by feldspars not weathered to clay minerals. The refinement of this thus has been required for the recent shortage of the resources of high-grade one. This paper concerns an optimum hydrothermal treatment condition to refine the low-grade weathered two-mica granite of which impurities are feldspar mineral and Fe2O3. FeO components in using for the main material of ceramic industry. And then, from this result, we tried to fine out the basic formation mechanism of clay mineral from feldspar etc and develope the effectual utilization method of this.

Improvement of the Field Emission Stability of Carbon Nanotube Paste Emitter by Post-treatments

  • The field emitters were fabricated by screen-printing of carbon nanotube paste, and their emission stabilities were evaluated. It was found that the emission stability measured in a sealed device is much higher than that measured in a vacuum chamber in spite of similar pressure. This was because oxygen gas was scarcely remained in the sealed device, while the gas is continuously supplied into the vacuum chamber during the stability measurement. It was found that the plasma treatment etched the protruded CNTs, resulting in the uniform height of CNT tips. As a result, the stability was increased remarkably. It was also found that the stability of CNT paste emitter was improved by electrical aging and that the optimum condition for the aging was varied with the size of emitter.

오배자의 염색성에 관한 연구 (A study on the mordanting and dyeing properties of Rhusjara ica Dye)

  • For the purpose of standardization and practicability of nautral dyeing, the mordanting and dyeing properties of Rhusjara ica was studied. Appropriate extraction, dyeing and mordanting condition of Rhusjara ica were determined, and the effect of mordanting method on dye uptake and color fastness of dyed fabric was investigated. The most absorbance of Rhusjara ica solution was 299 nm. The color of Rhusjara ica solution was affected by pH 8~9. The optimum temperature to extract Rhusjara ica was 6$0^{\circ}C$ and dyeing solution for 1 hour. Effective dyeing time to silk was 60min. Effective mordanting temperature was 80~10$0^{\circ}C$, and its time was 30 min. K/S value of dyeing fabrics was recoginazed by mordanting treatment, specially Fe, Al, Cu. K/S value of pre-mordanting was higher than post-mordanting. In the case of Rhusjara ica fastness was increased by mordanting treatment.

Polyester/면 혼방직물의 alkali 처리가공 (Alkali-Treatment of Polyester/Cotton Blend Fabric)

  • To develop an one-bath process for weight-reduction and mercerization of polyester/cotton fabric, concentrated NaOH solution was padded and steam-treated at high temperature. Following results which can be used commercially are obtained. (1) Steaming temperature of 110-12$0^{\circ}C$ is most efficient. (2) Optimum concentration of NaOH solution is 15-20%. (3) Most favorable weight-reduction is 20% in the aspect of fabric handle, and under this treating condition, dye exhaustion onto the mercerized cotton fiber is also increased to 40% or more. From above results, we believe that the economical and concurrent weight-reduction and mercerzation of polyester/cotton fabric can be realized. Moreover, with continuous treatment by pad-steam procedure, it is expected that this is, also, advantageous for the improvement of fabric quality and productivity.

$Li_2O$.$2SiO_2$. 유리의 결정화와 투광성에 관한 연구 (Crystallization and Transparency of $Li_2O$.$2SiO_2$ Glass-Ceramics)

  • Li2O.2SiO2 glass-ceramics were made from the melt by the nucleation and growth treatment. The optimum nucleation temperature and time were determined from DTA curves of as-quenched and thermally treated glasses, and found to be 44$0^{\circ}C$ and 3hrs. The optical microscopic technique was also used to support this result. The volume fractions of crystals present in the partially crystallized specimens were measured using the optical microscopy and the amorphous X-ray scattering methods. The degree of crystallization increased with increasing the crystallization temperature and time. The crystalline phase identified by X-ray diffraction was lithium disilicate. As the crystallinity increased up to 95%, the transmittance of glass-ceramics was decreased linearly. It was also found that for the same heat treatment condition (575$^{\circ}C$, 30min), a thicker specimen showed higher transmittance, presumably due to less crystallinity.

  • The polycrystalline $CuInS_2$ thin films are prepared by vacuum heat treatment of layer, which is deposited by vaccum evaporation in order. The electrical and optical properties of the films are investigated at various sulfur deposition mole rate, substrate temperature, heat treatment temperature and time. From data, n type-$CuInS_2$ exhibits resistivity, transmittance and energy band gap with 142[${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$], 73[%], and 1.5[eV] respectively at optimum fabrication condition. Finally, the films are fabricated with chalcoprite structure.

  • When some disperse dye was decolored with oxidation power of ozone, the results in investigation of decoloration behavior with dye solution and its order of reaction and variation of TOC were as follow: 1. Order of decoloration for Some disperse dye is C.I. Disperse Blue 79>Blue 73> Red 343>Red 60>Blue 354>Yellow 42. 2. Velocity of decoloration for the all dyestuffs was the fastest when pH 3. 3. TOC was rapidly reduced between 10 min. and 20 min. 4. For the reduction of TOC ozone was needs many times as compared with decoloration of dyestuffs.

반응 염색 면직물에 대한 오배자 추출 항균물질의 상용성 및 세탁내구성 (The Compatibility and Wash Durability of Antimicrobial Activities of Cotton Fabrics Treated with Gallnut Extracts After Dyed with Reactive Dyes)

  • We have studied on the experimental variables such as optimum adsorption condition, color changes, light fastness, antimicrobial properties, and wash durability of the cotton fabrics treated with gallnut extracts. Treatment of gallnut extracts on the cotton fabrics was optimally achieved at 6$0^{\circ}C$ for 60min. Gallnut extracts did not cause unintended color change after treatment on the cotton fabrics dyed with reactive dyes. The cotton fabrics treated with gallnut extracts showed good light fastness, though we took into the account the extract is a natural material. The cotton fabrics treated with 10.0% o.w.f. of gallnut extracts had strong antimicrobial activity and good wash durability.
