중수소 이온 주입에 의한 MOS 커패시터의 게이트 산화막 절연 특성 개선 (Improvement of Gate Dielectric Characteristics in MOS Capacitor by Deuterium-ion Implantation Process)

  • This paper is studied for the improvement of the characteristics of gate oxide with 3-nm-thick gate oxide by deuterium ion implantation methode. Deuterium ions were implanted to account for the topography of the overlaying layers and placing the D peak at the top of gate oxide. A short anneal at forming gas to nitrogen was performed to remove the damage of D-implantation. We simulated the deuterium ion implantation to find the optimum condition by SRIM (stopping and range of ions in matter) tool. We got the optimum condition by the results of simulation. We compare the electrical characteristics of the optimum condition with others terms. We also analyzed the electrical characteristics to change the annealing conditions after deuterium ion implantation. The results of the analysis, the breakdown time of the gate oxide was prolonged in the optimum condition. And a variety of annealing, we realized the dielectric property that annealing is good at longer time. However, the high temperature is bad because of thermal stress.

  • Grain size in sheet metals in one of the main parameters in determining formability. Grain size control in industry requires delicate process control and equipment. In the present study, effects of grain size on the formability of steel sheets is investigated. Experimental investigation of effect of grain size is a cumbersome method which due to existence of many other effective parameters are not conclusive in some cases. On the other hand, since the average grain size of a crystalline material is a statistical parameter, using traditional methods are not sufficient for find the optimum grain size to maximize formability. Therefore, design of experiment (DoE) and artificial intelligence (AI) methods are coupled together in this study to find the optimum conditions for formability in terms of grain size and to predict forming limits of sheet metals under bi-stretch loading conditions. In this regard, a set of experiment is conducted to provide initial data for training and testing DoE and AI. Afterwards, the using response surface method (RSM) optimum grain size is calculated. Moreover, trained neural network is used to predict formability in the calculated optimum condition and the results compared to the experimental results. The findings of the present study show that DoE and AI could be a great aid in the design, determination and prediction of optimum grain size for maximizing sheet formability.

  • The superplastic forming/diffusion bonding(SPF/DB) is widely used in the automotive and aerospace industry because it has great advantage to produce complex, light and strong parts. But the superplastic forming process requires much forming time and generates excessive thinning in the thickness distribution of formed part. It is necessary to minimize trial and error for SPF/DB Process. Finite element analysis using $L_{18}$ orthogonal may table of Taguchi method for 3-Sheet D/B process is carried out. Through the study, effect of process parameters, such as DH region size, thickness and friction coefficient, is evaluated and the optimum condition is derived.

전기 업셋팅 가공시의 열탄소성 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Thermo-elasto-plastic Analysis of Upset Forming)

  • Thermal elasto-plastic analysis of axi-symmetric body by the finite element method is presented in this paper for analyzing the process of upset forming of circular section extruded bar. The example of calculation for upset forming of Nimonic extruded bar is also presented. It is shown that remeshing of quadrilateral finite element is necessary because the very highly distorted element by plastic deformation disturbs the calculation. Calculated values for nodal points in new mesh are obtained from nodal points of old mesh by linear interpolation method. The experimental results are compared with calculated values. The appearance of upsetupset forming obtained by experimental method is very similar to that obtained by calculations. So, it is proved that the thermal elasto-plastic analysis of axi-symmetric body by the finite element method is very useful for finding the optimum upsetting condition.

  • Hot deformation behavior of A350 LF2 alloy was characterized by compression tests in the temperature range of 800-$1250^{\circ}C$ and the strain rate range of $0.001-10s^{-1}$. The microstructural evolution during hot compression was investigated and deformation mechanisms were analyzed by constructing processing map. Processing maps were generated using the dynamic material model (DMM). The combination of dynamic material model and Ziegler's instability criterion was applied to predict an optimum condition and unstable regions for hot forming.

  • This study introduces the new way for the evaluation criteria of the Mash-Seam Tailored Blank weldability, The materials used are low carbon automotive galvanized and high strength steels and the evaluation of weldability are examined with various thickness. Welding tests were conducted for both similar thickness and dissimilar thickness cases. The criteria developed for optimum welding conditions were based on the relationship among results of die press forming test, forming limit diagram, Erichsen test and microhardness measurements. The application of the developed criteria(fracture ratio, strength ratio, etc) in obtaining optimum welding condition revealed that a weld which satisfied ant of the criteria did not fracture during actual die press test and FLD dome test.

경량 단조 피스톤 기술 개발 (Development of Forged Piston for Weight-Reduction)

  • This forged piston is proposed with a lighter weight and higher durability than a gravity casting piston for gasoline engines. However, a forged piston is very difficult to develop and mass-produce due to lack of basic technologies such as design, material and forging technique. First, we benchmarked existing forged pistons according to database design parameters. Second, we evaluated two solidification processes, continuous casting and spray forming, to produce heat-resistant alloy billets for forging. The spray forming process gives better mechanical properties at all temperatures, particularly at elevated temperatures except when poor formability is present. We used DEFORM simulation to determine the optimum process condition with billet from spray forming and successfully commercialized it with LF Sonata HEV.

  • This study is to investigate the effects of cold forming method with steel sheet of SCP3C to improve continuous productivity. Experiments were carried out in various working conditions, such as the number of stamping and the punch temperature. The effects of the punch temperature and the number of stamping on drawability of steel sheet of SCP3C as well as clearance and draw-in in the number of stamping were examined and discussed. More improvement of continuous productivity in case of cold stamping rather than by conventional stamping at room temperature is obtained. The optimum forming condition for drawing trunk floor panel of SCP3C is shown as the punch is cooled by coolant of $-5^{\circ}C$ and at the same time both the die and the blankholder are heated by stamping and frictional heat.

가변금형 성형에서 탄성회복 제어 연구 (Study on Springback Control in Reconfigurable Die Forming)

  • Springback is one of the most difficult phenomena to analyze and control in sheet forming. Most of traditional springback control methods rely on experiences of skilled workers in industrial fields. This study focuses on prediction and generation of optimum reconfigurable die surfaces to control shape errors originated by springback. For this purpose, a deformation transfer function(DTF) was combined with finite element analysis of the springback in the 2D sheet forming model of elastic-perfectly plastic materials under the condition without blank holder. The results showed shape errors within 1% of the objective shape, which were comparable with analytically predicted errors. In addition to this theoretical analysis, DTF method was also applied to 2D and 3D sheet forming experiments. The experimental results showed ${\pm}0.5$ mm and ${\pm}1.0$ mm shape error distribution respectively, demonstrating that reconfigurable die surfaces were predicted well by the DTF method. Irrespective of material properties and sheet thickness, the DTF method was applicable not only to FEM simulation but also to 2D and 3D elasto-reconfigurable die forming. Consequently, this study shows that springback can be controlled effectively in the elasto-RDF system by using the DTF method.

박격포 포신 제작을 위한 Inconel718 소재의 전진 유동성형 조건 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Selection of Forward Flow Forming Conditions with Inconel718 Tube for Mortar Barrel Manufacturing)

  • Flow forming is an eco-friendly and high-efficiency plastic deformation process with fewer chips during a process which is specifically used to manufacture seamless tubular products like tire wheels, rocket motor cases etc. On the development of mortar barrel using Inconel718 tube, some flow formed products had dimensional errors on their thickness. In this study, our purpose is to optimize the process conditions with the smallest dimensional error. In order to find an optimum process condition, 2D axisymmetric FEM simulation analyses with Taguchi method were conducted. Geometric variables (attack angle, flatting angle, roller nose radius) and operating parameters (depth of forming, feed rate) are considered as control factors. Forward flow forming with single roller was first analyzed to determine the effective factors using AFDEX software and attack angle of the roller was identified as the most influential factor. Also, the nose radius of the rollers was confirmed as a significant factor in multi-rollers flow forming system. The effect of rollers offset values are also studied and finally, we proposed optimal conditions to improve the accuracy of flow forming process with Inconel718 tube for mortar barrel manufacturing.
