Sensory Test for the Development of Aquarobic Wear Design for Middle-Aged Women (중년기 여성의 아쿠아로빅 웨어 디자인 개발을 위한 착의 평가)

  • Aesthetic impression, structural stability, functionality during exercise, freedom of movement and physiological suitability should be considered when developing aquarobic wear for middle-aged women. We conducted a visual evaluation of the commercial aquarobic wear of the five brands (ARENA, TURN, RALLY, RENOMA and ELLE) with the highest market share and selected three items: one-piece type (OPT); two-piece type (TPT) and whole-body type (WBT). These are the most worn types of aquarobic wear for each brand. The G4 showed the best results in appearance evaluation of the shoulder strap width, front neckline, armhole line, side hip line and short pants length in the OPT category. The TPT had better ratings as the shoulder strap was located in the center of the shoulder, and the front and the back necklines were not too deep. The five items of WBT clothing received similar ratings for each element, so it is considered that the advantages are evenly distributed. No single design was a clear favorite. Based on the above results, continuous research on the development of aquarobic wear that is more suitable and preferable for middle-aged women should be conducted.

Effect of Oxygen and Diborane Gas Ratio on P-type Amorphous Silicon Oxide films and Its Application to Amorphous Silicon Solar Cells

  • We reported diborane ($B_2H_6$) doped wide bandgap hydrogenated amorphous silicon oxide (p-type a-SiOx:H) films prepared by using silane ($SiH_4$) hydrogen ($H_2$) and nitrous oxide ($N_2O$) in a radio frequency (RF) plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) system. We improved the $E_{opt}$ and conductivity of p-type a-SiOx:H films with various $N_2O$ and $B_2H_6$ ratios and applied those films in regards to the a-Si thin film solar cells. For the single layer p-type a-SiOx:H films, we achieved an optical band gap energy ($E_{opt}$) of 1.91 and 1.99 eV, electrical conductivity of approximately $10^{-7}$ S/cm and activation energy ($E_a$) of 0.57 to 0.52 eV with various $N_2O$ and $B_2H_6$ ratios. We applied those films for the a-Si thin film solar cell and the current-voltage characteristics are as given as: $V_{oc}$ = 853 and 842 mV, $J_{sc}$ = 13.87 and 15.13 $mA/cm^2$. FF = 0.645 and 0.656 and ${\eta}$ = 7.54 and 8.36% with $B_2H_6$ ratios of 0.5 and 1% respectively.

Preoperative Levels of Hematological and Biochemical Indices Affect Perioperative Variables in Adult Patients with Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery

  • The objective of this research was to evaluate the relationships of preoperative (Pre-OP) levels of hematological and biochemical indices to perioperative variables in patients that underwent coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG). Pre-OP levels of hematological factors [total white blood cells (T-WBC), erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit, glycohemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), or platelet] were negatively or positively related with biochemical indices [alanine aminotransferase (ALT), bilirubin, glucose, fructosamine, triglyceride, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL)]. Pre-OP levels of hematological factors and biochemical indices were negatively or positively correlated with echocardiographic variables. Pre-OP level of HbA1c had a relationship with C-reactive protein. Pre-OP levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), ALT, HDL, glucose, fructosamine, or blood urea nitrogen (BUN) were positively or negatively associated with Pre-OP levels of cardiac markers (brain natriuretic peptide, troponin-I, creatine kinase isoenzyme 2, or CRP). Pre-OP levels of hematological factors (excepting T-WBC) related with operation time (OPT), postoperative mechanical ventilation time (POMVT), intensive care unit-period (ICU-period) or hospitalization. Pre-OP levels of AST, ALT, bilirubin, triglyceride, HDL, low dwensity lipoprotein, fructosamine, or BUN were positively or negatively correlated with OPT, graft numbers, POMVT, ICU-period or hospitalization. Retrospective this study reveals that Pre-OP levels of hematological and biochemical markers are associated with echocardiographic variables, several cardiac markers and postoperative outcomes, suggesting that Pre-OP levels of hematological and biochemical markers may be useful predictors for the diagnosis and prognosis of coronary artery disease.

  • There is well known algorithm is a Gale-Shapley algorithm(GSA) for stable marriage problem. The GSA is performed as each man propose to his most favorite woman(MP), then the woman accepts more than one proposal rejects all but her favorite from among those who have proposed to her. This algorithm always gets a stable set of marriages with man-optimal and woman-pessimal. But the woman proposal and man-accept/reject method(WP) is can be get the distinct result. Also, the optimal stable matching may be fail using MP or WP. This paper suggests always get the optimal stable matching on all occasions in order to overcome the shortcomings of MP and WP. The proposed algorithm perform k-opt, k-women exchange with each other for the result of delete at less preference in each woman from MP result. As a result of applied to various experimental data, this algorithm can be get the optimal stable matching that the MP or WP failed to it.

  • In the present work, we investigated the photodissolution and photodiffusion effect on the interface of Ag/chalcogenide $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ thin film by measuring the absorption coefficient, the optical density, the resistance change of Ag layer. It was found that the photodissolutioniphotodiffution ratio depends on the magnitude of photon energy absorbed in the chalcogenide thin film and the depth of photodiffution was proportional to the square root of the exposed time. Also, we have investigated the holographic grating formation with P-polarization states on chalcogenide $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ thin film and $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}/Ag$ double layer structure thin film. Holographic gratings have been formed using He-Ne laser (632.8 nm) which have a smaller energy than the optical energy gap, $E_g\;_{opt}$ of the film, i. e., an exposure of sub-bandgap light $(h{\upsilon} under P-polarization. As the results, we found that the diffraction efficiency on $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}/Ag$ double layer structure thin film was more higher than that on single $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ thin film. Also, we obtained that the maximum diffraction efficiency was 0.27 %, 1,000 sec on $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}\;(1{\mu}m)/Ag$ (10 nm) double layer structure thin film by (P: P) polarized recording beam. It will offer lots of information for the photodoping mechanism and the analyses of chalcogenide thin films.

Modeling for the Prediction of Liquid Food Density (액체식품의 밀도예측을 위한 모델링)

  • For the development of a general mathermatical model to predict the density of liquid foods based on temperature and composition of each major component, the major components of liquid foods considered in this study were water, protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber and ash. These samples were subdivided into sixteen pure components. The density of each sample was measured by a volumetric pycnometer at the temperature range of $0^{\circ}C\;to\;100^{\circ}C$ for three different solid content suspensions, The density values of pure component solids were calculated from the assumed model at given temperature, using the experimental values of three different solid content suspensions with known water fraction and density model of water. Using these calculated density data at the temperature range of $0^{\circ}C\;to\;100^{\circ}C$, the coefficients of ther density model for each pure component were determined by the OPT Subroutine Program. The density model developed in this study can be used to predict the density values of liquid foods at given temperature and composition.

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN CRANIAL BASE SIZE, SHAPE AND HEAD POSTURE, AND THE POSITION OF MAXILLO-FACIAL STRUCTURES (두개저의 크기, 형태 및 두부자세와 악안면구조의 위치적 상관관계)

  • This study was done to evaluate the correlations between the size, the form of the cranial base, head posture and the horizontal and vertical position of craniofacial structures. For this purpose, 100 cephalometric radiographs were taken from the sample composed of 51 male and 49 female, 12 measurement criteria and 37 reference points were established and digitized, then calculation was performed for the values of measurement variables and the horizontal and vertical position of reference points. The correlations be4ween them were analyzed statistically and mean facial diagrams were constructed and compared with the selected groups which were composed of 10 Samples each as large and small group from the measurement value. The following results were obtained: 1. The angles n-s-ba and n-s-ar as variables for the ion of cranial base correlated highly to the horizontal and vertical position of reference points in the cervical column with statistical significance($0.1\%$ level). 2. The angles n-s-ba and n-s-ar as variables for the form of cranial base correlated to the horizontal position of the reference points in the facial structure with statistical significance($1\%$ level), but not to the vertical position of them($5\%$ level). 3. The length n-s, s-ba, and n-ar as variables for the size of cranial base were correlated th the position of craniofacial structures in various ways, but in general, highly correlated to the horizontal and vertical position of midfacial structures around the teeth and alveolar area. 4. the angle NSL/CVT and NSL/OPT as postural variables tot the inclination of cranial base and cervical column were correlated to the horizontal position of the craniofacial structures with statistical significance($1\%$ level), but not to the vortical position of them($5\%$ level). 5. The angle OPT/HOR and CVT/HOR as postural variables lot the inclination of cranial base and true horizontal line were not correlated to the horizontal and vertical position of the craniofacial structures with statistical significance($5\%$ level). 6. The correlation between the measurement variables and horizontal and vortical positions of the reference poits in soft tissue were shown as similar to the related hard tissue points.

  • A some of synthesized 2-(4-(6-chloro-2-benzoxazolyloxy)phenoxy)-N-phenyl propionamide derivativesa substrates were found to selectivity significantly with both rice plant (Oryza sativa L.) and barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli) for those her- bicidal activities with post emergence in up land. The selectivity of substrates against rice plant better than that of Fenoxaprop-ethyl. The structure activity relationship (SAR) n the selectivity of N-phenyl substituents were analyzed by the Free-Wilson and Hansch method. The SAR approach against barnyard grass is shown that the optimal ($({\pi})_{opt.}=1.60$) hydrophobicity and electron donating effects ($0<{\sigma}$ & 0$(ES)_{opt.}=0.87$) so that the herbicidal activity against rice plant can be decreased. The significance of these results on the selectivity between barnyard grass and rice plant is discussed. And it is assumed that the 2-ethoxy-3-methoxy-4-dimethylamino group substituent ($pI_{50}$=6.60, 1g/ha) is selected as the most highest herbicidal activity against barngard grass in green house.

Estimation of Shoot Development for a Single-stemmed Rose 'Vital' Based on Thermal Units in a Plant Factory System (식물공장 시스템에서 Thermal Units을 이용한 Single-Stemmed Rose 'Vital'의 신초발달 예측)

  • This study was conducted to predict number and fresh weight of leaves, and total leaf area of a single-stemmed rose 'Vital' based on the accumulated thermal units, and to develop a model of shoot development for the prediction of the time when the flowering shoot reaches a phenological stage in a plant factory system. The base temperature ($T_b$), optimum temperature ($T_{opt}$), and maximum temperature ($T_{max}$) were estimated by regressing the rate of shoot development against the temperature gradient. The rate of shoot development ($R$, $d^{-1}$) for the phase from cutting to bud break (CT-BB) was best described by a linear model $R_b$ ($d^{-1}$) = -0.0089 + $0.0016{\cdot}temp$. The rate of shoot development for the phase from bud break to harvest (BB-HV) was fitted to the parabolic model $R_h$ ($d^{-1}$) = $-0.0001{\cdot}temp^2$ + $0.0054{\cdot}temp$ - 0.0484. The $T_b$, $T_{opt}$, and $T_{max}$ values were 5.56, 27.0, and $42.7^{\circ}C$, respectively. The $T_b$ value was used in the thermal unit computations for the shoot development. Number of leaves, leaf area (LA), and leaf fresh weight showed sigmoidal curves regardless of the cut time. The shoot development and leaf area model was described as a sigmoidal function using thermal units. Leaf area was described as LA = 578.7 $[1+(thermal units/956.1)^{-8.54}]^{-1}$. Estimated and observed shoot length and leaf fresh weight showed a reasonably good fit with 1.060 ($R^2=0.976^{***}$) and 1.043 ($R^2=0.955^{***}$), respectively. The average thermal units required from cutting to transplant and from transplant to harvest stages were $426{\pm}42^{\circ}C{\cdot}d$ and $783{\pm}24^{\circ}C{\cdot}d$, respectively.

The Farnesyl Protein Transferase Inhibition Activity of Chalcone Derivatives (Chalcone 유도체의 Farnesyl Protein Transferase 저해활성)

  • Inhibition activities$(pI_{50})$ of chalcone derivatives as substrate with farnesyl protein transferase(FPTase) were determined in vitro. The structure activity relationships(SAR) between the activity and physicochemical parameters of X & Y-substituents on the phenyl groups were analyzed by Free-Wilson and Hansch method. X-substituents on the benzoyl group have the more important role to inhibition activity than Y-substituents on the styryl group. Among them, none substituent, 8 showed the highest FPTase inhibition activity$(pI_{50}=4.30)$. Particularly, the SAR equation could be formulated, showing a parabolic relationship between the activity and hydrophobicity(logP) where the optimal value$({\Sigma}logP)_{opt}$ was 3.915. And also the activity depends on the steric effect(Es > 0) with X-substituent and the resonance effect(R < 0) with electron donating Y-substituents. Based on the results of SAR analyses, the interactions between substrates and receptor, FPTase, could be assumed.
