The purpose of this study is to develop tool for the assessment of employment preparedness for people with visual impairments. First, we developed a draft assessment factors. Expert opinion survey, delphi survey, pilot test were conducted to modify contents of the factors. Actual assessments were carried out to test the reliability and validity of the developed tool targeting job seeker with visual disabilities. The total number of valid samples are 253. Principal component analysis, confirmatory factors analysis, and correlation analysis were used for the validity test. Chronbach' alpha analysis was used for the reliability test. As a result of the reliability analysis, the reliability coefficient showed good level of 0.88-0.92. As a result of the factor analysis, it was confirmed that the composition concept of 9 factors were well reflected. The correlation coefficient between employment preparedness tool and job screening tool was 0.501, Which was statistically significant. Therefore, it was evaluated as having a concurrent validity. Finally, it was confirmed that the assessment of employment preparedness for people with visual impairments was valid as assessment tool.
This research aimed to examine the problems in a current national emergency management system that does not consider the disabled in the face of manmade catastrophes and natural disasters, and to conduct an expert opinion survey to explore the direction of disabled-inclusive public disaster management system. As a result of the analysis, the respondents of the survey revealed a need for a designated government department for disaster management systems for the disabled and the experts preferred the Ministry of Public Safety and Security (50%) than the Ministry of Health and Welfare (37.5%). However, 12.5% of the surveyed experts perceived cooperation between the two Ministries, rather than selecting a certain ministry, as necessary to establish a disaster management system for the disabled. Additionally, the experts recognized the response period (43.8%) of the disaster management life cycle to be the most important phase. Thus, at the disaster response period, the experts suggested utilizing an emergency alarm system to effectively rescue the disabled in the face of disaster. Based on this discussion, the paper explores ways to establish a disabled-inclusive public disaster management system.

Collision of small vessels such as fishing boats cause great personal injury. Prior to this study, the collision prevention algorithm was developed to assess the collision risk and make the collision alarm. However, a service provided for safety, such as a collision warning, not only prevents risks, but also requires a certain degree of user satisfaction to function effectively. In this study, the collision prevention algorithm for small vessels was improved to be more practical, and the effects of the improvement were confirmed by applying the algorithm. A survey conducted on the users of the collision warning service confirmed the user requirements for improving the accuracy of the collision warning system and reducing the volume and number of alarms. Accordingly, the algorithm was improved for user satisfaction, and the actual vessel experiment was performed applying the improved algorithm in an actual maritime environment. As a result, the frequency of alarm occurrence decreased compared to former algorithm, but the alarm was relatively steadily generated in dangerous situations. It was analyzed that the accuracy and practicality of the collision alarm were improved. If the practicality and reliability of the improved algorithm are verified in the further study, it will be able to effectively contribute to the prevention of collisions of small vessels.
The purpose of this study is to closely analyze the case of blended-learning in order to provide a diverse and flexible learning environment while maintaining the nature of face-to-face classes, and to identify the learning environment that supports blended-learning in each class step and the educational experience of students. The experience and satisfaction of blended learning were investigated in various ways: course evaluation, LMS activity evaluation, and questionnaire before and after the class. As a result, the blended-learning is better than the traditional face-to-face classes, in providing real-time feedback, opportunities for various interactions, and textual conversations, anytime and anywhere. In addition, as a result of the preliminary survey, as a measure to solve the opinion that concentration was reduced due to problems such as networks and felt uncomfortable in the communication part, the theory and lectures of the design practice class were conducted non-face-to-face. The individual Q&A and feedback were conducted face-to-face and non-face-to-face. As a result of the follow-up survey, it was found that concentration and efficiency could be improved. This opens up possibilities for active use of the online environment in design practice classes.
The present study was conducted as a pilot investigation to suggest the standards of acoustic performance for classrooms suitable for incomplete hearing people such as children under 9 years of age. Subjective evaluations such as questionnaire and speech intelligibility test were conducted to 264 students at two elementary schools in Cheong-ju in order to analyze the characteristics of the listening environment in the classrooms of the lower grades in elementary school. The survey was undertaken with a total of 264 students at two elementary schools in Cheong-ju, and investigated their satisfaction with the classroom listening environment. As a result, students responded that the most helpful information type for understanding class content is the voice of teacher. In addition, the volume of the current teacher's voice is normal, and the level of clarity is highly satisfactory. As for the acoustic performance of the classroom, the opinion that the noise was normal and the reverberation was very short was found to be dominant in overall satisfaction with the listening environment. Meanwhile, as a result of speech intelligibility test using the word list selected for the lower grade students of elementary school, it could be inferred that the longitudinal axis distance from the sound source in the case of 8-year-olds is a factor that affects speech recognition.

Purpose: The study aims to identify the theme list and priority criteria of patient safety theme reports in South Korea. Methods: The survey was conducted twice, and the importance of each criterion and theme was measured on a nine-point scale using the Delphi technique by a panel of 19 patient safety experts. The criteria included severity, universality, preventability, and organizational-social impact. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, median, and interval quartile range were used to analyze the data. Results: The parameters were assigned a weighted average of 35% for severity, 20% for universality, 30% for preventability, and 15% for organizational-social impact, respectively. The final top three rankings were surgery safety, blood transfusion safety, and medication safety. In addition to expert opinion, for the theme that is selected based on the priority ranking, one to five sub-topics can be derived from the theme based on the priority ranking, societal demands, or the yearly priority list of patient safety incidents. Conclusion: It is recommended that the official patient safety center distribute the report in the form of a summary that can be utilized nationwide at medical institutions, government institutions, and other places. Updates, as well as accumulated theme reports, will serve as the baseline data for the proposal of the system and for the policy designed to implement and improve institutions' safety practices as a standard of domestic patient safety practice guidelines.
Safety education delivered to construction workers in a lecture manner has limitations in concentration and immersion, so delivery power and interest are low. In order to improve unstable behavior through education and prevent safety accidents, it is necessary to change the paradigm to hands-on education. Purpose: Experiential safety education aims to contribute to preventing accidents for construction workers by quickly recognizing risks, improving emergency response skills, and verifying the effectiveness of pre- and post-learning. Method: Based on a survey of workers who experienced the same work environment as the actual construction site, an opinion survey on the pre- and post-safety experience education and a variable measurement tool were planned, and a research hypothesis was established. Results: The Bayesian theory and MC simulation analysis were used to analyze the structural equation model, and the change in construction worker behavior was confirmed through the intended safety (A), non-experiential education in the sub-area of anxiety (B), average, standard deviation, and minimum and maximum values. Conclusion: The effect of education and industrial accidents are reduced only when construction workers are motivated to participate.
The need for improvement is raised due to limitations with environmental impact assessment, and the importance for data-based environmental impact assessment is increasing. In this study, data demand was derived by analyzing Agreed Terms and Conditions in the Water Environment field (Water Quality, Hydraulic & Hydrologic Conditions, and Marine Environment) of environmental impact assessment. Agreed Terms and Conditions on environmental impact assessment in the water environment field were classified and categorized by environmental impact assessment stage (addition to status survey, impact prediction and evaluation, establishment of reduction measures, post-environmental impact survey), and data demand for each type of consultation opinion was linked. As a result of the categorization of Agreed Terms and Conditions, it was classified into 18 types in the water quality, 15 types in the hydraulic & hydrologic conditions, and 17 types in the marine environment. As a result of linking data demand, the total number of data demand was 236 in the water quality, 98 in the hydraulic & hydrologic conditions, and 73 in the marine environment. The highest number of Agreed Terms and Conditions and data demands were found in the water quality for the evaluation item and establishment of reduction measures, specifically establishment of non-point source pollution reduction measures, for the stage. The numbers were judged to be linked to the relative importance of the items and the primary purpose of environmental impact assessment. The derivation of data demand through the analysis of Agreed Terms and Conditions in the environmental impact assessment can contribute to the advancement of the preparation of environmental impact assessment reports and is expected to increase data utilization by various decision-makers by establishing a systematic database.
As childhood obesity and nutrition imbalance emerge as social issues in South Korea today, the development of education materials on diets and nutrition has become important and has been attempted in diverse ways. The present study was conducted on early elementary school students with the objective of establishing directions for the design of personalized nutrition education materials that can promote a proper, balanced diet for children through application in daily life of knowledge acquired from self-learning linked to nutrition education that is taking place in their schools. For this purpose, a review of previous theoretical literature on nutrition education for early elementary students was performed. Survey questions were formulated based on the advice of field experts in medicine, education, and design and the survey was conducted among 110 children from 1st and 2nd grade in two elementary schools, one in Seoul and the other in Changwon. The results obtained from the user evaluation suggested that the early elementary school students showed positive reaction to nutrition education, had preference for the type of learning using multimedia-based contents and quiz activities, were willing to learn about calorie-adjusted meals, preferred the Gothic typeface and orange and green colors. Purpose: With the 2021 revision of dietary guidelines in Korean emphasizing environmentally sustainable dietary practices, this study attempted to develop an evaluation tool to comprehensively evaluate the degree of practice and compliance with food and nutrient intake, dietary habits, and dietary culture guidelines based on the revised dietary guidelines. Methods: The candidate evaluation items were collected by reviewing 934 literature reviews on domestic and foreign dietary evaluations. Fifty-nine candidate items were derived by selecting the items corresponding to dietary guidelines. The content validity ratio (CVR) cutoff point evaluation was conducted with 11 experts to delete 11 items that did not meet the CVR standard. Fifty-five pilot survey candidate items were selected through revision and additional process according to expert opinion. Seventy final candidate items were selected by adding 15 questions for validity verification and reference. A pilot survey was conducted online and offline on 332 adults aged 19-64 in Seoul and the metropolitan area, and exploratory factor analysis was used to verify the construct validity of the evaluation items. Through exploratory factor analysis, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin, Bartlett's sphericity test, variance explained, and Cronbach's alpha criteria were confirmed in each process. Results: Exploratory factor analyses derived three criteria: food and nutrient intakes (11 items), eating behaviors (9 items), and dietary culture (14 items), consisting of 34 evaluation items. Conclusion: The present scale was validated and can be used for comprehensive evaluations of the dietary guidelines for Korean adults in a simple way.
