This paper presents a review on the operations research modeis for environmental management including water, land, and air poliution in the environmental chain and including waste treatment, reverse logistics, and product recovery in the supply chain for last 30 years. The integrated and globalized environmental issues have given OR professionals a lot of natural opportunities for an effective environmental management with mathematical programming and computer simulation tool.

The purpose of this paper is to exhibit existing replacement models and to develop new replacement models for managing equipments in large organizations, private or public. Some of the models in this paper are well known and in use, and some are not. All these models are classified, depending on main factors which play key roles on the models. One group is the models in which the economic factor plays a key role, and the other is those in which both the economic factor and the effectiveness factor play key roles.

This paper presents average travel time models automated warehousing system where the stacker crane transports only one pallet at a time with the tchebychev travel, I/O point is located at the cornor of the rack, and items are stored by the class-based storage assignment rule. In this study, the racks are treated as the continuous rectangle in time and a statistical approach was used to develop the models. In order to test the proposed models, average travel times determined by the models are compared with the true values for various rack shapes.

Reorganization is essential part of data base maintenanc work and the reasonable reorganization points can be determined from the trade-off between reorganization cost and performance degradation. There has been many reorganization models so far, but none of these models have assumed nonlinear search cost function. This paper presents the existensions of two existing linear reorganization models for the case where the search cost function is quadratic. The higher performance of these extended models was shown in quadratic search cost function case.

This paper presents an algorithm to develop network models for road intersections. These models represent microscopic traffic movement in the intersections, and thus can be used to computerize the road data for a detailed analysis or simulation.

Duel models are frequently used in war game simulation. Both game-theoretic approach and stochastic approach are applied to duel situations in war game. Game-theoretic models are usually classified into three categories, noisy duel, silent duel, and duel of continuous firing. Stochastic duels are classified depending upon assumptions. In this paper formulation and a general solution for each model will be summarized.

As the industrial environment becomes more competitive, supply chain management (SCM) has become recognized as a major strategy in the business world. Some of current researches are categorized into review papers, deterministic models, stochastic models, simulation models and discussed in this paper. A hybrid approach combining analytic model and simulation model and the simulation optimization method are proposed as future research areas with other analytical subjects.

In order to accomplish large-size information systems successfully, one of the most improtant factor is the system integration(SI) of individual software projects which consist of the systems. A developer of each project should consider aspects of SI through the development cycle, and a manager of the entire system should manage, control, and evaluate each from a SI point of view. In this research, management models for the system managers, development models for the developers of unit projects, and standardized output documents for the management and evaluation purpose are presented based on the SI concepts.

This research addresses flow time prediction in the dynamic unbalanced job shop scheduling environment. The specific purpose of the research is to develop the job flow time prediction model in the dynamic unbalance djob shop. Such factors as job characteristics, job shop status, characteristics of the shop workload, shop dispatching rules, shop structure, etc, are considered in the prediction model. The regression prediction approach is analyzed within a dynamic, make-to-order job shop simulation model. Mean Absolute Lateness (MAL) and Mean Relative Error (MRE) are used to compare and evaluate alternative regression models devloped in this research.
