During landing approach, an airplane could experience dynamic unstable motion by the combination of a gust and elevator control to cancel the disturbances. This situation is dangerous and could lead to a loss of an airplane. In this paper, numerical analysis was used to study the effect of pitch oscillating 2-D high lift devices in a landing condition. Experimental data on a pitching naca0012 airfoil was used for code validation. Dynamic characteristics of an airfoil, single slotted flap for mid-class passenger aircraft were analyzed. Unsteady Navier-Stokes analysis was performed with Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model for separation dominant low speed flow. As a result, flow hysteresis of a flapped airfoil was more complex than that of an oscillating airfoil. So, dynamic analysis of a flap in a landing condition is very important for operational safety.

Consciousness is really regarded as too ambiguous a concept to be understood and accepted as a mental construct without the inclusion of memory and attention in any conceptualization. However we need one criterion to count satisfactorily as an explanation of consciousness in information processing. An operational working definition of consciousness could be made in comparison of memory and attention: Consciousness would be a subjective awareness of momentary experience and also have the characteristics of an operating system performing control and consolidation information processing. This could be called a cognitive consciousness. It is possible that some distinctions between consciousness, memory and attention can be made conceptually and functionally from the perspectives of information processing.

The DGPS is used to improve the accuracy of the GPS by determining the positioning error data known locatio and subsequently transmitting the determined error, or corrective factors, to users of the GPS operating in the same geographical area. The accuracy of the DGPS available to real0time users is published in the Federal Radio-Navigation Plan to be better than 10 meters, although users often experience accuracies of better than 3 meters. USA recently decided to expand the marine DGPS service for land applications and initiated the Nationwide DGPS chain. Korea is processing for improving the marine DGPS. We have not achieved Full Operational Capability. But after announcing FOC, we have to begin expansion of DGPS into land. This paper investigate the availability of marine DGPS in land. The results will provide a basic guide for estimation of a propagation loss of the marine DGPS frequency in land.

Innovation clusters are essential in the economic development of many developed countries across the world. While they present ways for under-developed and developing countries to grow their economies, fully operational innovation clusters are yet to be established in Nigeria. Many experts argue that learning from experience is an effective way of galvanizing economic development. Therefore, in this study, an empirical analysis involving a multi-variable quantitative analysis was used to examine the factors that influence the performance of the Daedeok Innopolis Innovation Cluster (South Korea). The results obtained show that the investment in education, Research and Development (R&D), labor capacity of key players within the innovation cluster, and the transfer of technology (within the cluster) were essential factors that influence the performance of the Daedeok Innopolis Innovation Cluster.

This study starts with a remark on the frequent usage of the term 'generation culture' in the explanations of cultural change. The term 'generation culture' itself does have neither a clear meaning nor any academic consensus for its operational definition yet. Depending on intuitions or common senses, in most cases, of everyday lift experience, the tends to designate the co-existence of different cultural layers as composing subsystems of a little broader Korean cultural trend. I tried here to analyze different positions and perspectives in the employment of this term, sometimes with strategic intentions of each social groups. Economic or political positions, for example, are intertwined with the quest of identification concerning 'we' and 'other' grouping dynamics in the Age of Globalization, which accelerates the speed of cultural re-territorialization. And the role of consumption activity as a kind of cultural indication has gained more weight in that process. This analysis will remind us, also, of the post-modem society's assumption about the space-and-time in transition, and its fluctuation.

In case of KOREA, many difficulties are expected for pilots to adapt to the flight operational environment changes which we will meet suddenly in anytime of the future as the operating plan for GPS is not fully prepared yet. It is because GPS operation is rather difficult compared to other navigation equipments, and it takes much time and experience to be familiar with GPS instrument approach procedure. First of all, it is keenly required to establish GPS instrument approach procedure for the local airports to be familiar with GPS instrument approach procedure. We would like to introduce GPS instrument approach procedure for the Cheju International Airport as a basic model to help you to understand it.

Many organizations experience that the performance they gained from IT investment is lower than they expected values. As with any investment, executives are concerned with maximizing the performance from their investment in IT. This study focused on the relationship between IT strategy and IT investment to maximize IT performance. A field survey of chief information officer of Korea manufacturing sector was conducted. Complete data for 147 firms was analyzed to determine relationship of the three research constructs. The study shows a positive relationship between IT strategic orientation, IT investment direction, and performance of IT. The research results provide empirical evidence that supports the research hypothesis that closer fit between IT strategies and IT investment directions does lead to increase operational and competitive performance of IT

Understanding the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of employees has been deemed important for smooth and efficient food service management. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the dishwashing employees' job satisfaction and the operational and managerial factors in hospital foodservice systems. A survey of twenty conventional hospital food service systems was undertaken and detailed information was collected from 280 dishwashing employees through mailed questionnaires. Dishwashing employees' satisfaction was evaluated by measuring their job attitudes towards four aspects of their job using the modified Job Description Index (JDI). Descriptive analysis and Pearson product moment correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. The dishwashing workers were found to be more satisfied with their interpersonal relations with co-workers than with work content, pay or promotional opportunities. The demographic variables including education, type of employment and work experience were significantly related to job satisfaction. As the ratio of supervisors to dishwashing workers increased, the degree of satisfaction in dishwashing workers increased significantly.

Western coastal ports of Korea experience severe tidal range with up to 9.7 meter between high and low tides. The significant water level variation implicates many operational difficulties during loading and un-loading from cargo ships. To overcome problems due to tide and to secure the continuous loading operation, a new loading system for container cargo called "container pallet system" is developed and introduced in the paper. Three types of structure forms, offshore structural deck, double bottom structural form and the mixed form, are inverstigated with MSC/NASTRAN software. The results prove that the mixed type structure with truss enforcement is found to be the most appropriate for the region.
