A Study on The Characteristics of Aesthetic Salon Operation and Job Satisfaction by Important Aspects in Launching Aesthetic Salon Business (샵 창업 시 중요사항에 따른 피부관리샵 운영 특성 및 직업만족도)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in the characteristics of the aesthetic salon operation and job satisfaction according to important considerations in opening aesthetic salons as well as to provide basic data for improving the operation of the salons. Toward this aim, a questionnaire survey was conducted for owners of small aesthetic salons across South Korea from January-March, 2016. Results were as follows: Among those who identified means of transportation and parking convenience as key considerations in launching aesthetic salon businesses, length of service, length of business operation, monthly fixed revenue and proportion of the highest profit were highest. Job satisfaction (F=3.223, p<.05) was highest (M=4.11) among those that responded 'floating population' as a primary component in launching aesthetic salon businesses, and lowest among owners who mentioned 'cost of investment' (M=3.41). Specifically, job mobility (F=2.960, p<.05) was the highest among respondents who selected means of transportation and parking convenience (M=3.95) as key criteria in launching aesthetic salon business. For the stable operation of an aesthetic salon, a location with high floating population, good transportation, parking convenience, high levels of customer access, and job satisfaction are critical factors. In addition, future studies should examine marketing strategies by operating characteristics.

Reversible Secret Sharing Scheme Using Symmetric Key Encryption Algorithm in Encrypted Images (암호화된 이미지에서 대칭키 암호화 알고리듬을 이용한 가역 비밀이미지 공유 기법)

  • This paper proposes a novel reversible secret sharing scheme using AES algorithm in encrypted images. In the proposed scheme, a role of the dealer is divided into an image provider and a data hider. The image provider encrypts the cover image with a shared secret key and sends it to the dealer. The dealer embeds the secret data into the encrypted image and transmits encrypted shadow images to the corresponding participants. We utilize Galois polynomial arithmetic operation over 28 and the coefficient of the higher-order term is fixed to one in order to prevent the overflow. In experimental results, we demonstrate that the PSNR is sustained close to 44dB and the embedding capacity is 524,288 bits.

  • This paper proposes the design of protocol management system for aggregationg messages based on certification between vehicles which not only prevents the messages between vehicles from being forged and altered by Sybil attack by authenticating the them, and but also provides the efficient communication by aggregating the redundant vehicle messages which frequently happens when communicating. For this, the proposed system proposes the SKLC(Session Key Local Certificate) design which is a local certificate based on a session key, and the MAP(Message Aggregation Protocol) design which aggregates the redundant vehicle messages. Therefore, when the proposed system checks the certificate of vehicle, it provides the reliable information securely by verifying the integrity of vehicle with a hash function operation, and improves communication efficiency by reducing the processing time.

  • The hyperbolic stress-strain model has been shown to be valid for modeling nonlinear stress-strain behavior for rockfill materials. The Duncan-Chang nonlinear constitutive model was adopted to characterize the behavior of the modeled rockfill materials in this study. Accurately estimating the model parameters of rockfill materials is a key problem for simulating dam deformations during both the dam construction period and the dam operation period. In order to estimate model parameters, triaxial compression experiments of rockfill materials were performed. Based on a genetic algorithm, the constitutive model parameters of the rockfill material were determined from the triaxial compression experimental data. The investigation results show that the predicted strains provide satisfactory precision when compared with the observed strains and the strains forecasted by a gradient-based optimization algorithm. The effectiveness of the proposed inversion procedure of model parameters was verified by experimental investigation in a laboratory.

  • This paper presents two new algorithms and their architectures for $AB^2 $ multiplication over $GF(2^m)$.First, a new architecture with a new algorithm is designed based on LFSR (Linear Feedback Shift Register) architecture. Furthermore, modified $AB^2 $ multiplier is derived from the multiplier. The multipliers and the structure use AOP (All One Polynomial) as a modulus, which hat the properties of ail coefficients with 1. Simulation results thews that proposed architecture has lower hardware complexity than previous architectures. They could be. Therefore it is useful for implementing the exponential ion architecture, which is the tore operation In public-key cryptosystems.

A unified solution for vibration analysis of plates with general structural stress distributions

  • Complex stress distributions often exist in ocean engineering structures. This stress influences structural vibrations. Finite Element Methods exhibit some shortcomings for solving non-uniform stress problems, such as an unclear physical interpretation, complicated operation, and large number of computations. Analytical methods research considers mainly uniform stress problems, and often, their methods cannot be applied in practical marine structures with non-uniform stress. In this paper, an analytical method is proposed to solve the vibration of plates with general stress distributions. Non-uniform stress is expressed as a special series, and the stress influence is inserted into a vibration equation that is solved through decoupling to obtain an analytical solution. This method has been verified using numerical examples and can be used in arbitrary stress distribution cases. This method requires fewer computations and it provides a clearer physical interpretation, so it has advantages in some qualitative research.

  • In this paper, we propose a new optical thresold generator as a key-stream genrator for stream cipher systems. The random key-bit stream is generated by a digital generator that is composed of LFSRs and nonlinear ligics. Digital implementatin of a key-stream generator requires large memory to implement programmable tapping points. This memory problem may be overcome easily by using the proposed optical system which has the proberty of 2D parallel processing.To implement hte threshold generator optically, we use conventional twisted nematic type SLMs (LCDs). This proposed system is based on the shadow casting technique for the AND operation between taps and sregister stages. It is also based on the proposed PMRS method for modulo 2 addition. The proposed PMRS method uses the property of light's polarization on LCD and can be implemented optically using one LCD and some mirrors. One of the major advantages of the proosed system is that there is no limitation of the number of the progarmmable tapping points. Therefore, the proposed system can be applied for the 2D encryption system which processes large amounts of data such as 2D images. We verify the proposed system with some simulation.

A study on the key performance indicator of the dynamic positioning system

  • The dynamic positioning system (DPS) maintains an offshore vessel's position and heading under various environmental conditions by using its own thrust. DPS is regarded as one of the most important systems in offshore vessels. So, efficient operation and maintenance of the DPS are important issues. To monitor the DPS, it is necessary to define an appropriate key performance indicator (KPI) that can express the condition of the DPS from the perspective of operational efficiency and maintenance. In this study, a new KPI for the DPS is proposed considering the efficiency of the machinery and controller, the energy efficiency, and the environmental conditions in which the DPS is operated. The KPI is defined as a function of control deviation, energy consumption, and environmental load. A normalization factor is used to normalize the effect of environmental load on the KPI. The KPI value is calculated from DPS simulation and model test data. The possibility of applying the KPI to monitoring of DPS condition is discussed by comparing the values. The result indicates the feasibility of the new KPI.

The Design of Chorus DSP Chip Using Psychoacoustic Model and SOLA Algorithm (심리음향모델과 SOLA 알고리즘을 이용한 코러스 칩 설계)

  • This research deals with the implementation procedures of a chorus processing DSP for karaoke system. It is necessary to compress the chorus data to store as many choruses as we can. We apply MPEG-1 audio algorithm to compress the chorus data. And the chorus system must be accompanied with the karaoke that can change the key and the tempo. So the chorus DSP must be able to change the key and tempo of the chorus data. We apply SOLA (Synchronized Overlap and Add) to do it. We designed the chorus DSP that can compress the chorus, change the key and tempo. And we verified the chorus DSP logic using FPGA. The used FPGA are two FLEX10K100s made by ALTERA. Finally we make the ASIC chip of chorus DSP and verify its operation.

  • Segment lining is a key permanent lining structure to maintain the shield tunnel stability in shield tunnel operation. Moreover, segment lining generally accounts for the largest proportion in the shield tunnel construction costs. As a result, technical improvements to increase its economic feasibility have been actively carried out. This study aims to propose the development directions of high-performance segments from their recent cutting technologies. In addition, based on over 2,100 world-widely collected segment design data, a series of statistical analyses of segment key design parameters such as thickness, width and the number of divisions as well as segment materials were carried out to approximately estimate them in a design stage.
