Image Encryption using Complemented MLCA based on IBCA and 2D CAT (IBCA에 기초한 여원 MLCA와 2D CAT를 이용한 영상 암호화)

  • In this paper we propose a new image encryption method which utilizes Complemented MLCA(Complemented Maximum Length Cellular Automata) based on IBCA(Intermediate Boundary CA) and 2D CAT(Cellular Automata Transform). The encryption method is processed in the following order. First, Complemented MLCA is used to create a PN (pseudo noise) sequence, which matches the size of the original image. And, the original image goes through a XOR operation with the created sequence to convert the image into Complemented MLCA image. Then, the gateway value is set to produce a 2D CAT basis function. The produced basis function is multiplied by the encrypted MLCA image that has been converted to process the encipherment. Lastly, the stability analysis and PSNR(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) verifies that the proposed method holds a high encryption quality status.

  • It is not good joint that today's traffic control system that the course of traffic volume increase tendency is followed, in the traffic volume is approched into the time of my car. Accordingly when we analyzed the existing traffic signal control system, the traffic signal system is developed from the machine type that the motor was centered, to get up to date, to the intelligence electron signal control system. But yet, when we have a test and a A/S on the control circuit, the circuit that is designed to the center IC and ROM are complicated. Also, the time of pass lamp that the car line stream is going, can not extended automatically a time till the traffic volume is decreased to the same direction. This theme must be a real time intelligence control system that the time of pass lamp can extend aumatically. The circuit of sequence ladder diagram on the traffic signal control of a crossroads that is desinged, can be satisfied the complicated vehicle order. Therefore when the circuit is changed, the new developed system is economical with that dosen't needs any of components to require the circuit equipment, and the time is saved with needlessness of the circuit wiring again, and have a much trustworthy. The control method of pass signal lamp in the car line stream connecting among PLC and Relay and Temp Sensor, can be changed to hand operation and to semi-automation and to all-automation. New intelligence traffic signal system is composed with all-together system of T Sensor + Video Camera + IBM PC that is able to guiding the establishment of traffic order.

  • 댐과 저수지의 운영 최적화를 위한 수문학적 예보는 현재 수동적인 댐 운영이 주를 이루면서 활용도가 높지 않다. 불확실한 기후변화나 기후재난 상황에서 우리 사회에 악영향을 최소화하기 위해 선제적으로 대응/대비할 수 있는 댐 운영 방안이 불가피하다. 강우량 예측 기술은 기후변화로 인해 제한적인 상황이다. 실례로, 2020년 8월에 섬진강의 댐이 극심한 집중 강우로 인해 무너지는 사태가 발생하였고 이로 인해 지역사회에 막대한 경제적 피해가 발생하였다. 선제적 댐 방류량 운영 기술은 또한 환경적인 변화로 인한 영향을 완화하기 위해 필요한 것이다. 제한적인 기상 예보 기술을 극복하고자 심화학습이나 강화학습 같은 인공지능 모델들의 활용성에 대한 연구가 시도되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 섬진강 댐의 시간당 수문 데이터를 이용하여 댐 운영을 위한 심화학습 모델을 개발하고 그 활용도를 평가하였다. 댐 운영을 위한 심화학습 모델로서 시계열 데이터 예측에 적합한 Long Sort Term Memory(LSTM)과 Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU) 알고리즘을 구축하고 댐 수위를 예측하였다. 분석 자료는 WAMIS에서 제공하는 2000년부터 2021년까지의 시간당 데이터를 사용하였다. 입력 데이터로서 시간당 유입량, 강우량과 방류량을, 출력 데이터로서 시간당 수위 자료를 각각 사용하였으며. 결정계수(R2 Score)를 통해 모델의 예측 성능을 평가하였다. 댐 수위 예측값 개선을 위해 하이퍼파라미터의 '최적값'이 존재하는 범위를 줄여나가는 하이퍼파라미터 최적화를 두 가지 방법으로 진행하였다. 첫 번째 방법은 수동적 탐색(Manual Search) 방법으로 Sequence Length를 24, 48, 72시간, Hidden Layer를 1, 3, 5개로 설정하여 하이퍼파라미터의 조합에 따른 LSTM와 GRU의 민감도를 평가하였다. 두 번째 방법은 Grid Search로 최적의 하이퍼파라미터를 찾았다. 이 두가지 방법에서는 같은 하이퍼파라미터 안에서 GRU가 LSTM에 비해 더 높은 예측 정확도를 보였고 Sequence Length가 높을수록 정확도가 높아지는 경향을 보였다. Manual Search 방법의 경우 R2가 최대 0.72의 정확도를 보였고 Grid Search 방법의 경우 R2가 0.79의 정확도를 보였다. 본 연구 결과는 가뭄과 홍수와 같은 물 재해에 사전 대응하고 기후변화에 적응할 수 있는 댐 운영 개선에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Extension of Wright-based Connector Considering Efficiency Characteristics of Component (컴포넌트 효율성 특성을 고려한 Wright기반의 커넥터 확장)

  • In the component assembly and composition technique of software architecture, It is operated that the existing composition techniques based on architecture, ACME, Wright etc., used in FIFO with the direct connection structure between components through connector's Role. But, when the non-synchronizing request of components that have different characteristics occurs, the FIFO techniques is applied to the connector is difficult to process and operate effectively because of the high performance component waiting the sequence order if the low performance component is allocated first. Thus, the allocated request process according to the priority considering the characteristics of each call components in connector is necessary to improve the operation of assembled component. In this research, we extend the connector part that is available in multiplex connection structure based on existent Wright specification. For service process requested from component, the connector part is designed and implemented to operating with priority sequence through calculating the weight of CPU use rate, bean requesting process time and memory use rate among the efficiency elements of assembled components. To verify the efficiency if this designed connector, we implemented 20 samples EJB components that have different efficiency characteristics and applied these samples components to designed connector. The operating results with this designed connector show that the efficient operation of whole system is possible though the processing time takes 481ms more than the time of the existing FIFO techniques.

Analysis of Loss of Offsite Power Transient Using RELAP5/MODl/NSC; I: KNU1 Plant Transient Simulation (RELA5/MOD1/NSC를 이용한 원자력 1호기 외부전원상실사고해석 - I. 실제사고해석)

  • System thermal-hydraulic parameters and simulated, using the best-estimate system code(RELAPS/MODl/NSC), based upon the sequence of events for the KNU1 (Korea Nuclear Unit 1) loss of offsite power transient at 77.5% power which occurred on June 9,1981. The results are compared with the actual plant transient data and show good agreements. After the flow coastdown following the trips of both reactor coolant pumps, the establishment of natural circulation by the temperature difference between the hot and the cold legs is confirmed. The calculated reactor coolant flowrate closely approximates the plant data indicating the validity of relevant thermal-hydraulic models in the RELAP5/MOD1/NSC. Results also show that the sufficient heat removal capability is secured by the appropriate supply of the auxiliary feedwater without the operation of S/G PORVs. In addition, a scenario accident at full power, based upon the same sequence of events described above, is also analysed and the results confirmed that the safety of KNU1 is secured by the appropriate operation of the S/G PORVs coupled with the supply of auxiliary feedwater which ensures sufficient heat removal capability. The characteristics of the non-safety related components such as the turbine stop valve closing time, S/G PORV settings etc. are recognized to be important in the transient analyses on a bestestimate basis.

A preliminary study on the optimum excavation sequence of a room-and-pillar underground structure (주방식 지하구조물의 최적 굴착공정에 대한 예비 분석 연구)

  • A room-and-pillar underground structure is characterized by its grid-type array of galleries. As a result, its construction and economical efficiency can be governed by excavation sequence of galleries. Therefore, this study aims to study the optimum excavation scheme of a room-and-pillar underground structure by considering its various design factors such as ground conditions and excavation sequences. Drill-and-blast method is assumed as a excavation method for a room-and-pillar underground structure. In addition, two kinds of excavation patterns corresponding to a concurrent and a sequential excavation patterns are considered in this study. For the assumed conditions, the structural stability and the construction efficiency based on the number of faces and the travel distance of a jumbo drilling machine are analyzed for the two excavation patterns. Even though the two kinds of excavation patterns show almost the same structural stability as each other, the concurrent excavation pattern is relatively preferable to the sequential excavation pattern in terms of the number of faces in operation and travel distance of a drilling jumbo.

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) has become a very widely used medical procedur e. Clo.sed and open systems are typically used with static magnetic fields at or below 2 Tesla. BWhole body SAR(specific absorbsion rate) is the value of SAR averaged over the entire body of the patient over any period of 15 minutes. Head SAR is the value of SAR averaged over the head of the patient for any period of 10 minutes. SAR is a measure of the absorption of electromagnetic energy in the body' (typically in watts per kilogram (W/kg)). The normal operating mode comprises values of head SAR not higher than 3 W/kg. The second level controlled operating mode comprises values higher than 3 W/kg. Current FDA guidance limits the SAR in the whole body. including the head to a range of 1.5 to 4.0 W/kg, depending on the patient's clinical condition. SAR, limit restrictions are incorporated in all MRI systems. and domestic' s guidance limits the SAR in a part body. including the head to 3.2w/kg and less. The purpose of this study is to evaluate on change of head SAR in using MRI pulse sequence and to check if exceed 3.2(w/kg) level in domestic a part exposure through measured head SAR. 23 patient's the average head SAR of pulse sequence is that T2WI sagittal is 0.5375. T2WI axial(FSE) is 0.4817, T1WI axial(SE) is, 0.8179. FLAIR axial is 0.4580. GRE axial is 0.0077, Diffusion is 0.0824w/kg. The head SAR exposed per patient was proved 2.3845w/kg less than the international standard. Coefficient of correlation for the relations body weight and SAR or for the relations ETL(echo train length) and SAR is 1 value. Coefficient of correlation for the relations between TR(time to repeat) and SAR is -0.602 value. so SAR increased relative to weight body and ETL. But the relations between TR and SAR is negative definite.

Experimental Research for CO2 Emission Estimation of Medium-Scale Excavator Reflecting Work Characteristics (작업 특성을 반영한 중규모 굴삭기의 CO2 배출량산정을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • Researches on the emissions of greenhouse gases in the construction industry, which accounts for 40% of raw materials, 30% of energy consumption, and 30% of $CO_2$ emissions in the entire industry, are mainly focused on studies of LCA. However, it is assessed that $CO_2$ emissions are higher in construction sequence than in operation sequence. Also, it is considered that construction machinery using fossil fuel is a main factor causing environmental load in construction sequence. Therefore, this study analyzes the workload and engine RPM characteristics of the excavator which is the second largest number of registered construction machinery in Korea and the highest utilization rate in actual construction site. The excavator is divided into non-load states and load states where power is transmitted to the excavator. The exhaust gas is analyzed by a direct measurement method using PEMS equipment. $CO_2$ emissions are estimated by analyzing the relationship between RPM and exhaust emission characteristics according to the actual driving conditions. Additionally, we analyze the difference between $CO_2$ emissions of construction machine calculated by this study and $CO_2$ emissions calculated by using carbon emission coefficient.

Cost-based Optimization of Block Recycling Scheme in NAND Flash Memory Based Storage System (NAND 플래시 메모리 저장 장치에서 블록 재활용 기법의 비용 기반 최적화)

  • Flash memory based storage has been used in various mobile systems and now is to be used in Laptop computers in the name of Solid State Disk. The Flash memory has not only merits in terms of weight, shock resistance, and power consumption but also limitations like erase-before-write property. To overcome these limitations, Flash memory based storage requires special address mapping software called FTL(Flash-memory Translation Layer), which often performs merge operation for block recycling. In order to reduce block recycling cost in NAND Flash memory based storage, we introduce another block recycling scheme which we call migration. As a result, the FTL can select either merge or migration depending on their costs for each block recycling. Experimental results with Postmark benchmark and embedded system workload show that this cost-based selection of migration/merge operation improves the performance of Flash memory based storage. Also, we present a solution of macroscopic optimal migration/merge sequence that minimizes a block recycling cost for each migration/merge combination period. Experimental results show that the performance of Flash memory based storage can be more improved by the macroscopic optimization than the simple cost-based selection.

Hand-Gesture Dialing System for Safe Driving (안전성 확보를 위한 손동작 전화 다이얼링 시스템)

  • There are still problems have to solve for safety of driving comparing to the upgraded convenience of advanced vehicle. Most traffic accident is by uncareful driving cause of interface operations which are directive reasons of it in controlling the complicate multimedia device. According to interesting in smart automobile, various approaches for safe driving have been studied. The current multimedia interface embedded in vehicle is lacking the safety due to loss the sense and operation capacity by instantaneous view movement. In this paper, we propose a safe dialing system for safe driving to control dial and search dictionary by hand-gesture. The proposed system improved the user convenience and safety in automobile operation using intuitive gesture and TTS(Text to Speech).
