Road Crack Detection based on Object Detection Algorithm using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Image (드론영상을 이용한 물체탐지알고리즘 기반 도로균열탐지)

  • This paper proposes a new methodology to recognize cracks on asphalt road surfaces using the image data obtained with drones. The target section was Yuseong-daero, the main highway of Daejeon. Furthermore, two object detection algorithms, such as Tiny-YOLO-V2 and Faster-RCNN, were used to recognize cracks on road surfaces, classify the crack types, and compare the experimental results. As a result, mean average precision of Faster-RCNN and Tiny-YOLO-V2 was 71% and 33%, respectively. The Faster-RCNN algorithm, 2Stage Detection, showed better performance in identifying and separating road surface cracks than the Yolo algorithm, 1Stage Detection. In the future, it will be possible to prepare a plan for building an infrastructure asset-management system using drones and AI crack detection systems. An efficient and economical road-maintenance decision-support system will be established and an operating environment will be produced.

  • The life-cycle prediction of the sub-module which is the unit system of MMC is very important from the viewpoint of maintenance and economic feasibility of HVDC system. However, the life-cycle prediction that considers only the type, number and combination of parts is a generalized result that does not take into account the operating condition of the sub-module, and may significantly differ from the life-cycle of the actual one. Therefore, we design a fault tree for the purpose of reflecting the operation characteristics of the full-bridge sub-module and apply the MIL-HDBK-217F to the failure rate of the basic event to predict the life-cycle of the full-bridge sub-module. It compares the life-cycle expectancy of the conventional failure rate analysis with the proposed fault-tree analysis and compares the lifetime according to whether the redundancy of the full-bridge sub-module is considered.

  • Measurements of the automobile manufacturers are available anywhere and anytime, directly based on the criterion of failure is measured. The maintenance of high-precision production activities is direct evidence of the fact that competitive manufacturing activities are very important in determining the success of companies to recall defective starting from raw material costs. The current manufacturing sites produce calipers and clearance gauge the degree of tool only specific. Therefore, judging the quality, including the number of errors, requires a lot of attention to the dimension failures in day-to-day measurements and measurement tasks and duties repeated in difficult situations. In this paper, we aim to develop a vehicle manufacturing plant site using each of the manufacturing processes while operating a measurement tool. We display it using the Image Processing PC-based S/W with all those visual facts by management and recorded as image information a more accurate and current situation to obtain information and share visual measurements. We carry out research on the design and development vision inspection algorithm applied for pattern-recognition techniques that can help manufacturing site quality control.

  • Korea Highway Corporation has played a role of the construction and operation of the highway for the past for 40 years. The private sector since the 90s has made highway construction and operation. Central government and local governments were paid at subsidy in least operating income to 1.5896 trillion won for private operators from 2001 to 2008. Thus, Korea Highway Corporation will have important implications for understanding the cost structure. Korea Highway Corporation, a general analysis of the input element is used efficiently. And the operation of labor and capital estimated highly of the substitution elasticities. Korea Highway Corporation are judged to need financial separation of a strategic outsourcing(business) enabled and the construction(maintenance and management) and business institutions. In addition, currently running at highway the operation of institutions combined to configure a new institution, if that institution invigorate the hi-pass, more of the country's highway believe to be increase operational efficiency.

Therefore, introducing the AtoN AIS technology that install AIS in the ground station, lighthouse, bouy, sea facilities etc.. that is support equipment for safety sailing of ship and safety security of harbor and ship administration. The operation and maintenance of AtoN AIS are required to efficient method. With this actuality, sea advanced nation They has been apply for developing AtoN AIS equipment that is connected equipment of technology standard in IALA. Because of it is expected to depend equipment in income, that is required to domestic technology of the AtoN AIS. This paper is targeted to development that is suitable automation AtoN AIS equipment in environmental peculiarity for construnstrunstrAtoN operating administration center. It has been realization the interface module for control and monitoring system and the communications protocol for information interchange.

  • Projects applying the CDM methodology AM0035 of the $SF_6$ Emission Reductions in Electrical Grids should provide direct monitoring of all the key parameters that are related to estimation of baseline and project emissions including detailed explanations of key operating conditions and procedures, and an explanation addressing uncertainty as the result of EB meeting 41. Through this study, recovery ratio during maintenance, purity of $SF_6$ before and after disposal, replacing, loss rate of $SF_6$ before and after reclamation, leakage emission from electricity consumption and fossil fuel combustion, considered conservatively the key parameter of various monitoring. Consequently, confirmed the reduction in the amount of reduction due to the baseline emission decrease, project emission increase.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient grid-independent ESS control system through the control of renewable energy and agricultural ICT by utilizing the prediction of energy production and consumption. The proposed system is an integrated management system that can perform maintenance and monitoring by visualizing the accurate phase and data of power system. It can automatically cope, collect, process, and control the data. Also, it can analyze the power generation of solar power generation, consumption pattern of installed facilities, and operation trend of facilities. Further, it can predict the consumption of energy production and present the optimal energy management method by using the OpenAPI of the Korea Meteorological Administration, thereby reducing unnecessary energy consumption and operating cost.

  • Aircraft searchlights are used in search or rescue missions when performing night missions, and provide infrared light to keep operations in concealment. During aircraft operation, the infrared ray transmission filter glass for generating infrared rays can break, resulting in problems such as loss of concealment ability and maintenance. In this paper, we describe the procedure for testing the operating conditions of the searchlight when the defect occurs and finding the cause of the defect. We also summarize various methods to improve the cause and process of making the improved filter prototype. In addition, we also describe the results of verifying the performance requirements of the searchlight. As a result of the test and verification, the damage of the filter was improved and the improved filter was applied to the aircraft.

  • According to the 2021 Mobile Augmented Reality Market Report by Korea Innovation Foundation, the augmented reality market has been growing recently due to the growth of the mobile augmented reality market along with the development of smartphones. In order to provide augmented reality services to mobile users, it is necessary to create native apps for each device. However, there are problems such as maintenance costs for multi-platform and low accessibility due to app download. Recently, the construction of augmented reality system in a web-based environment by using the WebXR Device API is in progress, but it is judged that the system using the WebXR Device API is still in the research stage. In this paper, a responsive multi-platform environment was built using the WebXR Device API, Three JS, and React, and a function to provide augmented reality service to mobile and web users was implemented. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the interlocking of augmented reality was successfully implemented in a responsive web environment, and look forward to the augmented reality service operating on the web in the future.

Study on an open fuel cycle of IVG.1M research reactor operating with LEU-fuel

  • The fuel cycle characteristics of the IVG.1M reactor were studied within the framework of the research reactor conversion program to modernize the IVG.1M reactor. Optimum use of the nuclear fuel and reactor was achieved through routine methods which included partial fuel reloading combined with scheduled maintenance operations. Since, the additional problem in planning the fuel cycle of the IVG.1M reactor was the poisoning of the beryllium parts of the core, reflector, and control system. An assessment of the residual power and composition of spent fuel is necessary for the selection and justification of the technology for its subsequent management. Computational studies were performed using the MCNP6.1 program and the neutronics model of the IVG.1M reactor. The proposed scheme of annual partial fuel reloading allows for maintaining a high reactor reactivity margin, stabilizing it within 2-4 βeff for 20 years, and achieving a burnup of 9.9-10.8 MW × day/kg U in the steady state mode of fuel reloading. Spent fuel immediately after unloading from the reactor can be placed in a transport packaging cask for shipping or safely stored in dry storage at the research reactor site.
