Korea Water Resources Corporation (KOWACO), the only organization specialized in water resources management in Korea, is planning to establish a centralized control system for a related operation. in the central control room, of decision making as to water management and electric power generation. This plan is intended to convert the existing on-site operation system in each multi-purpose dam across the nation into a central operation system in the Corporations head office, for which Generation Integrated Operating System (GIOS) will be established control center in the Corporations head office and modernized nine (9) power stations. substations (RDAC). This article discusses realization of GTOS, especially real-time operation of hydropower plants and a specific architectural features for system communication.

Environmental protection on the ocean has been interested and nowadays the International Maritime Organization(IMO) has advanced on the prevention of air pollution from ships. This study presents the performance and the emission characteristics of 4 stroke marine diesel engines for generation application in D2 cycle(IMO mode). The effects of important operating parameters, such as intake air pressure. intake air temperature and maximum combustion pressure on NOx emissions were also described. Emissions measurement and calculation are processed according to IMO Technical Code. The results show that the maximum combustion pressure by fuel injection timing control and intake air temperature has strong influence on NOx emission production. But NOx emission is not affected by intake air pressure and exhaust gas back pressure.

The era of PSC is coming up with the increasing numbers of MOU which is a regional cooperation organization all over the world and this PSC is more likely to be intensified as time goes by. Therefore, the changes of MOU and PSC in the main maritime powers are dealt with and then the system for operating development of PSC meeting all kinds of International maritime conventions and national laws in comparison with other countries is studied in this paper.

The goal of this study is to improve the competitiveness of professional librarians in society. To this end, we analyzed domestic and international LIS curriculum, determined demand from field librarians through a survey, carried out job analysis by library types, and developed an operating model for LIS curriculum by synthesizing all of these results. Finally, we suggested a course of study for civil service librarians based on this model. As a result, the six required courses for civil service librarians are: Introduction to Library and Information Science, Information Organization, Information Services (Reference and Information Services), Library Management, Information Retrieval, and Field Work. The four core courses for the civil service concentration are: Collection Development, Information Sources by Subjects, Public Library Management, and Digital Libraries. Suggested electives best suited to this career path include Using Web Resources, Information Literacy, Information Services in Culturally Diverse Communities, Library Marketing, Libraries and Cultural Programs, Reading Guidance, Library History, Small Library Management, Studies in Library Buildings, Library Cooperation, Managing Digital Collections, and Information and Communication in a Digital Age.

An understanding of quality attributes is relevant for the software organization to deliver high software reliability. An empirical assessment of metrics to predict the quality attributes is essential in order to gain insight about the quality of software in the early phases of software development and to ensure corrective actions. In this paper, we predict a model to estimate fault proneness using Object Oriented CK metrics and QMOOD metrics. We apply one statistical method and six machine learning methods to predict the models. The proposed models are validated using dataset collected from Open Source software. The results are analyzed using Area Under the Curve (AUC) obtained from Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) analysis. The results show that the model predicted using the random forest and bagging methods outperformed all the other models. Hence, based on these results it is reasonable to claim that quality models have a significant relevance with Object Oriented metrics and that machine learning methods have a comparable performance with statistical methods.

This paper intends to analyze, present the problems in operating of conservation of the historic villages in Korea, in oder to improve the procedure and methods of restoration construction. Improvments are as follows. 1. Recognizing of historic village as cultural heritages to dewellers, 2. Understading of village to administraor and investigator, 3. Forming of mutual agreements with dewellers, 4. Establishing Conservation Act and making delibration organization in order to repair and restorate, 5. Minimalizing of inconvenences of dewellers. 6. Recognition of the individual specialities of the building in construction, and constructions, repairments, restorations in priceples of conservation. 7. Establishing the permission criterion, and managing by the Conservation Act.

This paper evaluates the efficiency of Korea National Railroad on the basis of revenues from 1980 to 1999. There was a significant inefficiency in this organization due to operating at an decreasing return to scale area. Although Korean Railroad in 1990s has made a great effort, his performance is still low. Consequently, it is important to insure substantiality of operations than to expand business area in order to finally improve the efficiency, in particular the revenue efficiency, of the Korea Railroad.

The paper describes a new approach to the organization of an artificial brain for mobile multi-robot systems, where individual robots are not considered as independent entities, but rather forming together a universal parallel and distributed machine capable of processing both information and physical matter in distributed worlds. This study is analyzed to conduct better on-site practices with recognizing importance of the clinical practice of Dept. of dental technology and use it as a basic material in the clinical practice. Target people who are students studying dental technology in D college in Daegu were questioned by survey. Study results below 1. Average score of the survey about satisfaction of the operating method of clinical practice shows 3.26. In detail elements, 'credit assignment(10 credits)' is 3.65 as the highest score, 'execution period(vacation)' is 3.50, 'choice of the clinical practice organization' is 3.25, 'measures after practice' is 2.98 and 'pre-education' is 2.98 as the lowest score. 2. Through the real clinical practice, 'experience of new equipments and technology' is 3.64 as the highest score, 'choice of lecturer' is 3.61, 'guidance way' is 3.49, 'contents properness' is 3.44, 'environment of practice organization' is 3.36, 'evaluation way' is 3.35 and 'practical use of the evaluation material' is 3.18 as the lowest score. 3. The average score of survey about satisfaction after clinical practice of the participated students is 3.46 that is higher than both 'satisfaction about operating method(3.26)' about clinical practice of college and 'satisfaction about organization(3.44)' about environment of dental craft organizations and labs, guidance way of lecturer and evaluation. 4. In the improvement of distribution of the clinical practice evaluation, in the 'practice organization: college' viewpoint, '7:3' is 35.77% as the highest response, '6:4' is 25.20%, '8:2' is 22.76% and '4:6' is 16.26 in regular sequence. 5. In site evaluation reflection of clinical practice, 50% reflection is 32.93% as the highest percentage, 60% reflection is 26.83%, 20% reflection is 20.73% and 80% reflection is 6.10% in regular sequence. In attendance score, it shows percentage of reflecting 50% and 40% is 26.98%, students wanting to reflect 30% is 25.40%, reflecting 10% is 20.63% and no reflecting is 0%. In result of the analyzed data, clinical practice has to be studied more in considering that clinical practice is important point in education of Dept. of Dental Technology and also problems in college and on-site practice need improvements.

This paper deals with the problem of port administration and management of the port of Pusan. As the port of Pusan has been administrated by central government, Efficiency of port is worse than other foreign ports. These include the time-lagged port development, the inconsistent port planning with city planning, the insufficient long-term port development planning, the various operating authorities and the lack of port sales activities etc. To solve the above-mentioned problems, other superior ports are compared. The port Authority is proposed. It takes part in the long term port planning and the planning of financial provision. It designates and supervises the port manager, measures the result of port management and arranges the proposals. The port ownership transfer from Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries to Pusan Metropolitan. The port management is to be taken by the port authority and the port operation is to be performed by private companies. As a result, it is expected that port productivity increases and marketing power strengthens.
