  • Information of video can be percieved as the form of visual rhythm through temporal ordering systems. The shot, the base unit of video analysis, affects audience psychologicaliy with various temporal combination. Here, psychological stress and density of the story can be adjusted by the point of view shot of character. Acordingly the correlation analysis of shot duration and point of view shot can be useful for visual rhythm research. Identity one of the thriller genre works was selected for analyzing. • With the advancement of computers, opening title sequences in movies are continuously improving. Initially, titles and opening credits were created using what is called the optical method, whereby text was photographed on separate film and then copied onto the movies film negative. In contemporary movie making, however, the title sequence may be seamlessly integrated into the beginning of the movie by an insertion method that not only allows for more diverse technical expression, including the use of both 2D and 3D graphics, but also for its emergence as an independent art form. As such a title sequence, in as little as 50 seconds or up to 10 minutes, is able to convey the films concept while also suggesting more implicit intricacies of plot and thereby eliciting greater interest in the movie. Moreover, according to the directors intent and for a variety of purposes, the title sequence, while maintaining its autonomy, is inseparable from the movie as an organic whole; therefore, it is possible to create works that are highly original in nature. The purpose of this study is to analyze the kinetic typography that appears in title sequences of ten films produced by the Korean entertainment industry in 2012. Production techniques are analyzed in a variety of ways in order to predict the future direction of opening title sequences, as well as present aesthetic and technical models for their creation.

  • This writing presents a structural methodology that conceptualize' Fransis Ford Coppola's perspective and adaptation style of his screenplay derived from the author Mario Puzo's original novel "The Godfather". This paper is divided into two different stages: The first stage, namely the "formal stage", encapsulates the analysis of narration and exploring the effects of structural transformations, such as deleting, creating and modifying from the novel to the screenplay. The second stage, entitled "semantic stage", is concerned with ascertaining the difference between the structure itself and the adapter's perspective on the original novel. The opening sequence of will be used as a case study to explore these issues in examining its adaptation style specifically while also offering a template for adapting a screenplay from a novel.

  • The behavior of the underground opening depends mainly on the magnitude of the initial stress existing before excavation and on the stress redistribution due to the excavation. In the case of elasto-plastic materials such as rock mass, as the structural behavior of surrounded opening due to excavation depends on the stress path, methods and sequence of excavation have influences on the results of numerical analysis. Therefore, in order to design underground openings with large cross-section such as underground nuclear power plants, radioactive waste disposal cavems, oil storage caverns, and so on more reasonably it is desirable to consider the effect of the excavation sequence in the analysis. In this paper, the underground structure is analyzed using the finite element method and the distinct element methods with a view to review the the effect of the excavation sequence. Based on the results of the analysis the followings are discussed : influence of excavation shape and sequence, effect of structural reinforcements, influence of multi caverns.

  • This study attempts to classify 1008 alley markets in Seoul through cluster analysis using Dynamic Time Warping, one of the methods used to analyze the similarity of time series, and evaluate the possibility of opening new stores. The sequence of the gross sales of an alley market and that of gross sales per store stand for the potential of growth and profitability of the market, respectively and are used as variables for cluster analysis. Five clusters are obtained for the gross sales and four clusters for the gross sales per store. These two types of clusters are again classified as rising and falling trends, respectively, and the combination of these trends produces four categories. These categories are used to evaluate the possibility of opening new stores in alley markets. The results show that the southeast which is relatively wealthy inferior to other regions in opening new stores. Alley markets in the northeast and the southwest are better than other regions such that opening a new store is justified. In the northwest, there are many markets with trend of gross sales and that of gross sales per store moving in opposite directions, and new store openings in these markets should be postponed.

  • In underground construction the multi-step excavation sequence is commonly adopted for the convenience of the underground work. A numerical simulation method which is capable of analyzing the effects of excavation sequence on the stability of the opening is greatly needed. In this study a two dimensional finite element code was developed based on the effective numerical algorithm for the multistep excavation. The practical applicability of the model was verified for the simplified excavation sequences.

  • This study, views the color of scenery not as a static state, but rather as a continuous sequence of perceptions that incorporates the concept of time. This study derived techniques to quantitatively analyze the flow and data from this sequence. By utilizing this, urban color trends can be based on openness. This is very close to what would be experienced by an actual viewer: it extracted color data and visual amount from frames at 2-second intervals by shooting a video of the color sequence of the city as seen from both the left and right sides from the inside of the monorail (line 3 of the Daegu urban railway). These images were classified by color group, brightness, chroma, high chroma distribution derived techniques such as openness of space, brightness level, clarity level, high-chroma distribution and code, advantage of visual amount, dominant factor exposure, hot and cold color image and dynamic of sequence rhythm. During the derived sequence, the data determines the openness in the visual amount of sky and it was found that the tendency of the colors of the city was opening regression analysis. The more colorful the city is opening the brightness is lowered, the chroma increased slightly, cold colors significantly increased, which also had a very deep relationship with Lynch enclosed proportion, color change of the city trends through the actual scenery could grasp in more detail.

  • It was examined that start-up characteristics of a staged combustion cycle engine powerpack. Among various parameters, valve opening time was considered as a main factor affecting the start-up characteristics. Using monte-carlo method, characteristics variation was analyzed when the valve opening time deviates from the nominal value. As a result, the main fuel valve opening time and the start turbine ending time were significant associated with the startup characteristics. When separating main fuel valve opening time and start turbine stop time, main fuel valve opening time was an important factor. For stable operation, the main fuel valve opening time must be set one second before after driving the start turbine. Likewise, it was confirmed that the startup analysis can suggest an appropriate startup sequence for a stable startup.

  • Fault current is flowed into 154/23kV M. Tr when line-to-ground fault occurs in power system. NGR(Neutral Grounded Reactor) is set up in order to prevent M.Tr fault by limiting magnitude of fault currents. Here, disconnection of NGR causes voltage increase by L-C resonance and line-to-ground fault in an unearthed system results in voltage increase at healthy phases. So Over Voltage Ground Relay(OVGR) is used for tripping M.Tr. Also, buses at second phases of M.Trs are all connected with section circuit breakers closed for the purpose of parallel operation and load shedding. In case of speciality buses are comprised of power cable in part for GIS connection. When no-load charged cable or bus is open by a section CB, unbalanced voltage charged on the bus is induced. Also discrepant opening time for circuit breakers on different phases gives rise to unbalanced zero sequence voltage. It was observed that this zero sequence voltage detected in the 22.9kV P.T (Potential Transformer for bus) mal-operated 59GT and tripped M.Tr. The zero sequence voltage of which vanishing time is longer than relay operating time came out by EMTDC simulation. Also, it was shown that the voltage waves of actual test are similar to those of simulation. On the basis of above results, R-C circuit complement on the relay without any effect on a power system made operating time of the relay longer than vanishing time of distorted waves. Consequently, operating time of the relay was delayed and magnitude of distorted waves was decreased by increasing time constant of the relay.
