The main physical parameters; the cluster center, distance, radius, age, reddening, and visual absorbtion; have been re-estimated and improved for the open cluster NGC 7086. The metal abundance, galactic distances, membership richness, luminosity function, mass function, and the total mass of NGC 7086 have been examined for the first time here using Monet et al. (2003) catalog.

A 15-year-old boy having a small VSD was readmitted with clinical manifestations of acute endocarditis and aortic regurgitation one month after open heart surgery. In spite of vigorous treatment with broad-spectrum antibiotics, high fever persisted. Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated just one time among several blood cultures. Progressive pulmonary infarction due to embolization. Progressive congestive heart failure and D.I.C. caused patient`s death. Aspergillus was found in autopsy specimen.

Life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia is a frequent complication of open heart surgery. There are many causes of postoperative cardiac arrhythmias. Electrolyte imbalance such as hypokalemia and acidemia are major causes of ventricular arrhythmias. Infrequently, however, antiarrhythmic agents and /or hypomagnesemia induce[s] a ventricular arrhythmia such as "torsade de pointes" by increasing the repolarization time of myocardium, Recently, we have experienced two cases of "Torsade de pointes" associated with hyp-omagnesemia after replacement of mitral valve and one of whom after use of procainamide. Intravenous infusion of magnesium immediately and successfully abolished the torsade de pointes in both cases.intes in both cases.

The photometric evolution of cluster stars are examined for six synthetic clusters in the age range from $2.4\times10^6\;yr\;to\;7.6\times10^8yr$ by using the detailed evolutionary model calculation, and their results are compared with the observed integrated absolute magnitude and colors of 47 clusters. The reasonable agreements of the observed photometric parameters with the synthetic evolutionary sequences imply that there is a general form of time-dependent IMF including the noncoeval formation of stars and its detailed function is changed slightly with various environmental conditions of each primordial cloud.

This paper deals with the test strategy on the short-open for the printed circuit board. A group testing algorithm, which is the several testing point to be measured redefined as one of the testing points, was suggested. As a result, the total testing time was reduced to 30${\sim}$50 percent.

Many RC building structures of multiple uses constructed in Korea have the irregularities of torsion and soft story at bottom stories. A typical irregular building was selected as prototype and shaking table tests were performed to investigate the seismic performance of this building. The objective of this study is to evaluate the correlation between the experimental and analytical responses of this irregular building structure subjected to the earthquake excitation by using OpenSees(Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation). The results of analyses simulate well the behavior of the building having torsional irregularity and weak stories.

Gardenia jasminoides (G. jasminoides) is traditionally used to treat insomnia, jaundice, emotional disorders, hepatic disease, and inflammatory disease. Previously, we found that geniposide and the water extract of G. jasminoides increased $Cl^-$ influx in neuroblastoma. Here we examined the sychopharmacological activities of G. jasminoides and its constituents. G. jasminoides extract was orally administered at 100 and 200 mg/kg, and genipin and geniposide were intraperitoneally injected at 2, 10, and 20 mg/kg. G. jasminoides extract (200 mg/kg) significantly decreased total open field activity but increased rearing activity in the center of the open field, suggesting an increase in exploratory activity. Genipin and geniposide did not change open field activity, but geniposide (20 mg/kg) increased rearing activity in the central area. The extract (200 mg/kg) significantly decreased rotarod and wire-balancing activity, but genipin and geniposide did not. No compounds influenced thiopental-induced sleeping or electroshock-induced seizures. The extract (200 mg/kg) significantly increased staying time in the open arms of the elevated plus maze and the entry ratio into the open arms, and geniposide (20 mg/kg) also increased open arm entry. Electroshock stress decreased open arm activity, but the extract and geniposide (20 mg/kg) significantly reversed that effect. This results indicate that G. jasminoides extract and geniposide alleviated anxiety with greater efficacy in stressed animals than normal animals.

The concept of ‘Open Space’ is conceived to be very valuable subject of interest in developing modern settlement system. In Korea, many new and old residential sites have been developed or renewed to fulfil the housing demands. And such trends seem to continue for the time being. What is more, the requirments for more comfortable residential environments, that is deeply concerned with ‘Open Space’, inorease gradually. As a basis for designing more efficent residential environments to fit Korean morden life style, self - grown, traditional and agricultural villages are studied. This study is concenturated on the Open Space System with its socio - cultural and physical backgrounds. For this, data and materials are some widely collected and are analysed focused on the systems and structures of ‘Open Spaee’. Some results from this study are summarized as follow ; 1. It is assumed that the number of houses per village is around 60, and that its area reaches to the radious of 3-4km. 2. ‘POONGSU’is a generally adopted theory based on natural elements like mountians, waters, and orientations when locating villages and composing their spatial structures. As a result of this, the basic structures of villages and Open Space are defined. 3. Circulation system is integrated to the hierachyal order system ; that is, Passing Road \longrightarrowEntry Road\longrightarrowCentral Read\longrightarrowDisperse and Access Road. 4. The natural and agricultural land uses are overlapped with diverse outdoor activities - religious services, play and recreation, relaxation, etc - without any physical modification. 5. At each villages, several artificial and spot - like green facilities are found. And distinctive functions, meanings, and locationalities are given to each of them. On that, they become a visual and psychological centers of each village. 6. In addition to its basic function of circulation, Central Road takes the sence of place for outdoor activities. Because of this charactor, it plays an important role of activating the village life and binding the various Open Space elements.
