The purpose of this study was to investigate the interaction and effects of shame and parent-child communication on children and early adolescents' peer pressure. The subjects of this study were 359 children and early adolescents from 5th grade in elementary school to 2nd grade in middle school (187 boys, and 172 girls) in Daejeon city. The results of this research indicated that gender and age played a significant role on the effects of shame and parent-child communication on peer pressure. Open communication with mothers showed a positive relationship with boys' peer pressure, whereas open communication with father showed a negative relationship with boys' peer pressure. The interaction effects of shame and open-communication with fathers and mothers worked differently on peer pressure across gender and age. Interaction effects of shame and open communication with fathers and mothers were significant for boys, but not for girls. Interaction effect of shame and open communication with mothers was significant for children and adolescents.

This paper presents a CAD interface system that imports CAD model data and exports input information to a CAPP(Compute Aided Process Planning) system to generate a sequence for block assembly operations. In developing this system we use an open architecture CAD kernel, OpenCASCASE. The functions of the system developed are visualization of the product, definition of relations between parts, and generation of relation graph and input file for CAPP. The functions are demonstrated with a simple example.

Focusing on both the form of open classroom and that of independent one which have been most planned and being built, this study was designed to see if the educational environment of their inner space, structure, and facilities gives a proper support to classroom activities during the various classes based on open education. Selecting representative teaching methods in elementary school, such as open simultaneous learning, learning through a medium, learning in the corner, subject learning, team teaching and learning hardening basics, this study surveyed problems and improvements using literature works, questionnaires, observing, and interviews. Through the study on learning space for open education, it has been known that the form of independent classroom fits into one classroom learning and open classroom into small group learning and individual learning, and that the form of open classroom connecting open space with a classroom are more desirable when there is change from large to small group.

The number of people using on-line shopping has rapidly increased over time. In particular, open-market is the most potential on-line market. Since there are too many products in open-market, customers have serious troubles finding products they want. Thus, interface should be improved so that open-market is able to offer products they want effectively. This study analyzed web interface based on main web pages of four major open-market companies in Korea, and performed satisfaction evaluation according to the analyzed factors. As a result, it reveals that what kind of factors the customers prefer and there is a causal relation between the most satisfactory open-market and the preferred factors of the customers.

Public data open is one of the important tasks of Korea Government 3.0. By making open data available to the private sector, the goal is to create jobs, increase innovation and improve quality of life. Public data open is a policy that emphasized its importance worldwide. Open data should have adequate quality in order to achieve the object of the public. However, there are open data's quality problems due to the lack of data quality management and standardization. The purpose of this study is to derive data characteristics of public open data from existing researches. In addition, the model was modified and verified through a survey targeting the experts on public open data. The study indicates that public open data's quality characteristics as publicity, usability, reliability, suitability. This study is significant in that it suggests quality characteristics to improve the data quality and promote utilization of the open data.

Purpose: To report our experience of treatment of rotator cuff tear and evaluate the mid-term outcome. Materials and Methods: We have performed 50 cases of mini-open rotator cuff repair from March 1996 to March 1999. Male to female ratio was 34：16, the average age 46.5(23∼57) years old, mean follow-up period was 78(62∼93) months. All-arthroscopic repair and open repair cases were excluded. Mean symptomatic period was 12.5(6∼38) months, operation was indicated in cases of no improvement by 6 months of conservative management. Preoperative simple radiographs and Magnetic resonance arthrography were obtained in all cases. We also observed the inflammation, synovitis, thickness of tear and associated pathology intraoperatively. We evaluated pain, function, and range of motion by UCLA score. Results: Overall UCLA score was mean 29.5 points. Excellent 25, good 18, poor 7 cases. Mean pain score was improved 2.6 to 7.5, 44 cases(88%) were improved and 6 cases(12%) were not improved. Mean functional score was improved 3.4 to 8.5, and activity at follow up, 25 cases(50%) were same, 8 cases(14%) were above, 17 cases(34%) were below compared with preoperative level. Mean active forward flexion was preoperative 112° to postoperative 160°, forward flexion strength was improved 3.8 to 4.7. 43 cases(86%) of patients were satisfied at the result, 7 cases(14%) were not satisfied or aggravated. Results: Mini-open rotator cuff repair was effective method in treating rotator cuff tear.

Background: Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has dramatically changed the management of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) as the number of open aneurysm repairs have declined over time. This report compares AAA-related demographics, operative data, complications, and mortality after treatment by open aneurysm repair or EVAR. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 136 patients with AAAs who were treated over an 8-year time period with open aneurysm repair or EVAR. Results: The mean age of the EVAR group was higher than that of the open repair group (p=0.001), and hospital mortality did not differ significantly between groups (p=0.360). However, overall survival was significantly lower in the EVAR group (p=0.033). Conclusion: Although EVAR is the primary treatment modality for elderly patients, it would be ideal to set slightly more stringent criteria within the anatomical guidelines contained in the instructions for use of the EVAR device when treating younger patients.

This study is designed to provide some basic materials for finding better ways to promote student-parent communication in order to elevate the sense of self-esteem among middle school students and to talk about the importance of communication between students and parents through looking at the current student-parent communication reality resulting from socio-demographic changes among male and female middle school students and analyzing some influences student-parent communication has on students' self-esteem. To attain the aforementioned purpose, total 650 2nd grade and 3rd grade middle school students were asked to fill out the questionnaire. The schools that they are attending are 2 schools in Gwangju City and 2 schools in a township in Jeonnam. 617 students responded to the survey. In order to see the general characteristics and the distribution of major variables of the respondents, the data were used to produce frequency. percentile, standard deviation and correlation quotient. and t-test. one-way Anova, Duncan's multiple range test and multiple regression analysis techniques were put to use. The results from this study are as follows: student groups that have good relations with other students seemed to be more open and active in their communication with their mother and father. Female students and students in their 2nd grade had more open talking relations with their mothers than male students and students in their 3rd grade. Students had more open talking relations with their father when father's occupation is office worker. In the difference of self-esteem that results from variables in communication between students and parents, a significant variance was presented in the level of the self-esteem of middle school students. When they had open communication with both parents, they had a high sense of self-esteem. and when their communication style was problematic, they had a low sense of self-esteem. When they had better relations with other students, when they had more open communication styles with their mother, when they had better school records, when they felt more satisfaction with communication With their father, they showed a higher level of self-esteem.

Web-scale open information extraction (Open IE) plays an important role in NLP tasks like acquiring common-sense knowledge, learning selectional preferences and automatic text understanding. A large number of Open IE approaches have been proposed in the last decade, and the majority of these approaches are based on supervised learning or dependency parsing. In this paper, we present a novel method for web scale open information extraction, which employs cosine distance based on Google word vector as the confidence score of the extraction. The proposed method is a purely unsupervised learning algorithm without requiring any hand-labeled training data or dependency parse features. We also present the mathematically rigorous proof for the new method with Bayes Inference and Artificial Neural Network theory. It turns out that the proposed algorithm is equivalent to Maximum Likelihood Estimation of the joint probability distribution over the elements of the candidate extraction. The proof itself also theoretically suggests a typical usage of word vector for other NLP tasks. Experiments show that the distance-based method leads to further improvements over the newly presented Open IE systems on three benchmark datasets, in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.

In this study, we surveyed on the 3rd and 4th grade teachers' perception and teaching practices towards open-ended question in the elementary mathematics textbook in the revised 7th curriculum. According to the result, teachers understood the purpose of open-ended question in general, but they recognized some problems in terms of open-ended question itself, difficulties found when they dealt with open-ended question in their classes, teacher's guide and teacher training. This research suggests ways of improvement of open-ended question on the basis of the survey results.
