실시간 제어에 의한 개방형 CNC 소프트웨어 모듈의 설계 및 구현 (The Design and Implementation of Open Architecture CNC Software Module by a Real-time Control)

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a PC(personal computer) based open architecture machine tool controller. The hardware of open architecture CNC has generally a motion control board on a PC for controlling a servo motor. But this paper describes open architecture hardware that consists of a PC, a counter board a DAC board and a DIO board only. This makes it easy to generate CNC software module in a hardware-independent way. The proposed open architecture CNC software runs on the MS-Windows NT. The paper describes a method of con-trolling servo motors using a real-time timer of MS-Windows NT and a commercial real-time operating system on the MS-Windows. NT. An open and reconfigurable software module is made up of an object and an API(application programming interface). Using the object and the API a new CNC system can be quickly configured to control dif-ferent machine tools. The proposed open architecture CNC system is applied to 4-axis lettering center.

  • The major roles of Power SCADA System are continuous monitoring of electrical equipments state, real-time data processing and dispatching. Especially, SCADA system demands fast response time in heavy load condition, high reliability, fault tolerance, expansion capacity for the future. According to developing computer system technology, SCADA system is changing system configuration from centralized processing system to distributed processing system. This paper describes operational benefits, problems and improvement (which is studying in theory) in the application of Open System Architecture SCADA which has been installed since 1994, Seoul regional control center in KEPCO.

  • This study aims at developing the high speed/intelligent machining system suing the plug/play method of an open architecture controller. The plug/play technology by the Application Specific Function (ASF), can readily implement the open architecture controller into various machining system or other automatic equipments. For the open architecture controller, this study developed the open HMI, screen editor, ASF, visual builder, and controller OS technology as software components. On the other hand, we developed the I/O module and main board as control hardware system. This study, as an example, presents integration of individual component technologies for the plug/play type open architecture CNC system.

  • This paper addresses an Intelligent Agent-based Open Architecture Cell Controller for Intelligent Manufacturing System(IMS). With an Intelligent Agent approach, the IMS will be a independent, autonomous, distributed system and achieve a adaptability to change of manufacturing environment. As the development methodology of Open Architecture Cell Controller, an object-oriented modeling technique is employed for building models associated with IMS operation, such as resource model, product model, and control model. Intelligent Agent-based Open Architecture Cell Controller consists of two kinds of dependant agents, that are the active agent and the coordinator agent. The Active agent is contributed to control components of IMS in real-time. The coordinator agent has great role in scheduling and planning of IMS. It communicates with other active agents to get information about status on system and generates the next optimal task through the making-decision logic and dispatch it to other active agent.

  • Growing concern and technical improvement in the housing industry has promoted continuous customization to be the most significant parameter for ecological and social sustainability of housing. The basic principle of Open Building is based on the concept of sustainability, but the theoretical relationship of the open housing system in terms of environmental architecture has not been examined profoundly yet. In order to generate an overall approach toward sustainable housing, a further alignment between Open Building and sustainability should be established. Therefore, this study aims at the establishment of the theoretical relationship between Open Housing system and environmental architecture, and the examination of Open Housing system in terms of sustainability for the suggestion of the future development in housing environment.

  • As a result of the recent water resources crisis, development of water management automation system becomes important. This system should be developed with open architecture in order to flexibly meet the spacial and time change of irrigation water demand. Thereby, water management automation system requires open architecture and suitable software program. This study presents an application of object-oriented methodology for Open Water Management Program(OWMP). Accordingly, OWMP provides a high degree of reliability which allows modification of parameters by change of region or time to be possible. OWMP consists of Data Base Management System(DBMS) and Model System. DBMS makes it possible to analyze data related with planning water schedule and establishing database. Model System calculates reservoir inflow, reservoir effluent and basin water demand. An operator decides the reservoir operation with results of Model System and DBMS. OWMP could be adapted to the planning and decision for saving water.

  • This paper proposed a web-based open architecture monitoring system using the Java language. The proposed system can be implemented in any platform and the status of the process can be monitored in a remote station. The proposed scheme have been applied to a steam generator level controller for a nuclear power plant. The result shows the feasibility of the proposed system.

  • 소프트웨어 활용의 수명주기가 단축되고, 다양한 형태의 사용자 기능을 지원하기 위하여 소프트웨어 아키텍처 개발의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 소프트웨어 아키텍처가 새로운 기능을 갖도록 확장에 유연하고 안정적으로 개발된다면, 새로은 시장의 요구에 빠르게 대응할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 기능 개발의 수명주기가 짧아지고 있고, 안정적인 소프트웨어 시스템 개발을 위하여 오픈 소스의 설계 복구를 통한 재사용을 고려하는 아키텍처 설계 기법을 제안한다. 소프트웨어 아키텍처를 기반으로 소프트웨어 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 오픈 소스를 사용하는 경우, 매우 신속한 개발이 가능해 질 뿐만 아니라, 이미 검증된 오픈 소스를 사용함으로써 개발 시스템에 대한 신뢰성도 증진시킬 수 있다.

  • This paper presents an open architecture controller (OAC) for machining systems and describes the OAC testbed at Seoul National University. Because our OAC is designed for fully open systems, it does not depend on any specific hardware or software components. This openness includes software reusability which enables integration of a wide range of monitoring and control features. In addition to openness, our OAC system provides guaranteed real-time performance, an important requirement for advanced manufacturing.

  • The faults diagnosis of machine tool, which is controlled by CNC(Computer Numerical Control) and PLC(Programmable Logic Controller), is generally based on ladder diagram of PLC because sequential controls for CNC and servo motor are mostly processed in PLC. However, when fault is occurred, a searching of logical relationship for fault reasons is required a lot of diagnosis experiences and times because PLC program has step structure. In this paper, FDS(Fault Diagnosis System) is developed and implemented to machine tool with open architecture controller in order to find the reason of fault fast and correctly. The diagnosed reasons for fault are remote serviced on web through developed RSS(Remote Service System). The operationability and usefulness of developed system are evaluated on specially manufactured machine tool with open architecture CNC. The results of this research can be the model of remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system of machine tool with open architecture CNC.
