Comparison of online video(OTT) content production technology based on artificial intelligence customized recommendation service (인공지능 맞춤 추천서비스 기반 온라인 동영상(OTT) 콘텐츠 제작 기술 비교)

  • In addition to the OTT video production service represented by Nexflix and YouTube, a personalized recommendation system for content with artificial intelligence has become common. YouTube's personalized recommendation service system consists of two neural networks, one neural network consisting of a recommendation candidate generation model and the other consisting of a ranking network. Netflix's video recommendation system consists of two data classification systems, divided into content-based filtering and collaborative filtering. As the online platform-led content production is activated by the Corona Pandemic, the field of virtual influencers using artificial intelligence is emerging. Virtual influencers are produced with GAN (Generative Adversarial Networks) artificial intelligence, and are unsupervised learning algorithms in which two opposing systems compete with each other. This study also researched the possibility of developing AI platform based on individual recommendation and virtual influencer (metabus) as a core content of OTT in the future.

  • In this paper, we developed a mobile new media solution that enables e-commerce shopping mall operators, band operators, and YouTube creators to create synergies in online and offline promotion by posting related video contents on the media in addition to their own videos. By providing videos in the field of the platform without directly searching for them, it is possible to provide users with a new type of marketing means that can promote their platform while providing interest and information. Prospective creators at home and abroad who produce video can upload their own video in addition to YouTube and afreeca TV, such as the open market for video, and use independent and free charging systems to manage independent customer relationship management(CRM), self-branding, and content management. It will be possible to utilize mobile-based new media equipped with a system.

  • Due to COVID-19, people are building new lifestyles such as online shopping, online travel, and video conferencing by limiting going out and gatherings. Such rapid social change is causing new problems and deepening existing problems at the same time. In particular, as online consumption increases significantly, traffic congestion, air pollution, and the heavy workload of delivery drivers are deepening in the daily logistics industry, and face-to-face delivery is emerging as a new problem. With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, unmanned delivery using drones, artificial intelligence, and autonomous driving is emerging as an alternative to the existing logistics industry. However, space for logistics facilities and securing additional logistics sites due to drone flight are emerging as new problems to be solved. Therefore, it is intended to link additional services such as logistics movement, storage, and delivery by utilizing the existing transportation business, the subway, as a space for a logistics facility for drones that can solve existing problems and new problems.

Development and Application of an Online-based Arduino Programming Experience Program

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and apply an online-based Arduino programming experience program. In this study, the program was developed and applied based on the contents presented in the ADDIE model and Lee's model. The results of this study were as follows. First, two types of educational program were developed for online use by students of the free semester system. Second, the program content included practical materials such as teaching websites and video lectures. Third, the developed program was applied a total of three times in the school environment and when the student did not attend school. Fourth, analysis of student satisfaction confirmed that the students were satisfied with the development program. The content of this study will serve as a reference for instructors who plan online-based hands-on activities in places where instructors are not readily available, such as islands or mountainous areas.

Suggestions for E-Learning Based on Four Years of Cyber University Experience

  • E-Learning is widely introduced with cyber universities in Korea from 2001 whencyber universities were first authorized by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development. E-learning amplified by cyber university gave a big impact in the campus based university which became the cause for the educational paradigm shift. The changes of status of cyber university shows important trend in college education which was analyzed by enrollment rate, types of cyber university, demography, and study areas. The enrollment rate of cyber universities is ever since 2001 and variety of study areas gives popularity to students. The demography of students is as expected older than traditional students. Female students at the cyber university outnumbered that at campus based university in Korea. For analyzing the trend of e-learning in Korea, there were studies twice in 2001 May-June from 213 faculty members and staff, 630 students and in 2004 May-June with 401 students. Most of e-learning students tent to spend less time yet, students feel more burden with e-learning. Professors tend to load more materials for the e-learning in 2001but in 2004 study, the difference no longer exists. Professors and students feel the academic achievement through e-learning is not as good as from the traditional classes. Difficulties for e-learning in 2001 were the lack of administrative information but in 2004, boring contents and lack of instructional strategies for e-learning. Technical problems still do exist but less serious. Suggestions for e-learning are blended learning, online students prefer video streaming with their own lecturer, new definition of instructor is needed, professional development for content development and online instruction is needed, success story of online learning should be encouraged, guidance for online students needed. The cyber university experiencegave a positive impact on the traditional universities such as rethinking the roles of universities, the quality control of classes, professional development, student oriented educational service of e-learning pedagogy.

Realtime Facial Expression Data Tracking System using Color Information (컬러 정보를 이용한 실시간 표정 데이터 추적 시스템)

  • It is very important to extract the expression data and capture a face image from a video for online-based 3D face animation. In recently, there are many researches on vision-based approach that captures the expression of an actor in a video and applies them to 3D face model. In this paper, we propose an automatic data extraction system, which extracts and traces a face and expression data from realtime video inputs. The procedures of our system consist of three steps: face detection, face feature extraction, and face tracing. In face detection, we detect skin pixels using YCbCr skin color model and verifies the face area using Haar-based classifier. We use the brightness and color information for extracting the eyes and lips data related facial expression. We extract 10 feature points from eyes and lips area considering FAP defined in MPEG-4. Then, we trace the displacement of the extracted features from continuous frames using color probabilistic distribution model. The experiments showed that our system could trace the expression data to about 8fps.

  • The study analyzed the evaluation of the advertisement effect by the score and the method of the advertisement comments in ad evaluation in online site, 'TVCF'. The results are as follows. First, Internet viral advertisement showed higher number of ad comments and higher evaluation of advertisement effect than cable broadcasting advertisement. Second, the results of analysis of the difference of advertisement evaluation according to ad types and digital user characteristics showed that women are more positive than men toward both cable broadcasting and internet viral advertisement.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of counselors who conducted video counseling using digital mask. To this end, the contents of the focus group interview with four counselors who experienced mask video counseling for a total of 10 Korean college student clients were analyzed using thematic analysis method. Participant counselors reported that they had been concerned about mask video counseling before the start but gradually be adjusted to the method. Since they have observed the rapid self-disclosure of the clients and smooth counseling process, they positively predicted the possibility of digital masks as a therapeutic media. They also mentioned the need for additional education and training for the counselors who are using the new on-line counseling media. Therefore, various supports for proactive responses of counselors to online counseling media need to be explored.

  • As the use of smart devices is being increased rapidly by the development of internet and IT technology, the contents production and utilization rate are showing higher increase, too. In addition, the type of contents also shows very diverse forms such as education, game, video, UCC, etc. In the meantime, the contents are reproduced in diverse forms by reprocessing the original contents, and they are being serviced through the contents service platform. Therefore, the platform to make the contents reprocessing easy and fast is needed. As the diverse contents distribution channels such as YouTube, SNS, App Service, etc, easier contents distribution platform is needed, and the development of the relevant area is expected. In addition, as the selective consumption of the contents having easy accessibility through diverse smart devices is distinguished, the demand for the platform and service that can identify the contents consumption propensity by individual is being increased. Therefore, in this study, to vitalize the online contents distribution, the contents reproduction and publishing platform, was designed and materialized, which can reproduce and distribute the contents based on the real-time contents editing technology in URL unit and the consumer propensity analysis technology using the data management-based broadcasting contents distribution metadata technology and the edited image contents streaming technology. In addition, in the results of comparing with other platforms through the experiment, the performance superiority of the suggested platform was verified. If the suggested platform is applied to the areas of education, broadcasting, press, etc, the multi-media contents can be reproduced and distributed easily, through which the vitalization of contents-related industry is expected.

  • American media market produces and consumes video contents the most in the world. Recently, Korean media contents appeals more than ever to Americans who consume them through online streaming service. This phenomenon reveals a green light which shows a need to seek for new methods in concentrated export area of Korean broadcasting market. To revitalize the exportation in this market, more differentiated strategies of exportation are needed. Therefore, in this study, we find out the activation plans to increase the exportation in American market. Through secondary data analyses with articles, home pages of each Korea TV station and depth interviews of executives of exportation of Korean broadcasting company.
