  • The Asynchronous indivisual learning offer advantages such as allowing learners to study at their preferred times without spatial constraints. However, since these classes are not conducted in real-time, there are limitations in conveying learners' feedback on problematic or inadequately explained course content to the instructors. This paper proposed a system for relaying feedback information from learners who view course content to the instructors. Learners can investigate the reasons for pausing online recorded class content, and they can transmit these pause reasons along with the time information of the paused content to the instructors. Instructors receive feedback information and pause times of learners' online recorded class videos in graphical form, making it easier to identify areas with numerous issues in the course content at a glance. Instructors can incorporate this feedback to re-upload the content, resulting in higher-quality course materials, which, in turn, can enhance learners' academic achievements.

  • The Purpose of this study is to embody self-directed learning management system and contents which are considered of learner's interactivity and usability in e-learning environment; It is based on self directed teaching and learning strategies. It divides type of interaction centering on the learners into four categories: (1) learner and instructor (2) learner and learner (3) learner and contents (4) learner and learning management system. The specific elements of learning management system is set up and embodied to present the interaction strategies according to the above-mentioned patterns, to improve the self-directed learning ability and to facilitate an online communication. The learning contents based on the self directed learning strategies, design the interface in due consideration of the learners' usability based on six strategies such as simple navigation, consistency, intuitive interface, linkage, user supports and immediate feedback. This research makes up for the weak points in the self-directed functions of learning management system and links up with learning contents, therefore it has a value to improve learner's interactivity and usability. It is expected that the research results can be helpful in quality improvement of e-learning environment.

  • In this paper we developed e-Leaning system based on open source software. We selected the Moodle that after compared the open source learning management systems. Moodle is LAMP(Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) based course management system (CMS), a software package designed to help educators create quality online courses. One of the main advantages of Moodle over other systems is a strong grounding in social constructionist pedagogy. Also we integrated Moodle and legacy systems such as streaming service, webhard service, and short message service. The system operated during one semester at college using blended learning model. We had obtained showed that the students had almost all scored quite highly as preferred learning environment through COLLES(Constructivist On-Line Learning Environment Survey) and ATTLS(Attitudes to Thinking and Learning Survey). Therefore this research showed that open source based e-Loaming system is stable and possible.

  • This study attempted to find out the factors affecting the self-directed learning ability of nursing students who took online lectures. The research method was a structured questionnaire survey targeting 2nd to 4th grade nursing college students, and the analysis method was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the study, the self-directed learning ability of nursing college students was an average of 3.48 points out of 5 points, and it was found that learning immersion had the greatest effect on self-directed learning ability. Based on the results of this study, it will be necessary to establish a quality education system and the efforts of instructors who apply various lecture methods or customized lecture programs so that learners can immerse themselves in learning in order to improve learners' self-directed learning ability.

  • The purpose of this study is finding factors affecting the students' use of the Cyber Home Learning Service System and exploring the direction of this system. It is based on the TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) and the result of the previous studies, six external and three internal factors influencing the sue of Cyber Home Learning Service System were extracted. The participants were 201 elementary school students in Pusan. The response of the questionnaire was gathered by online survey system. To analyze the data and the hypothesis, multiple regression and factor analysis were explored. The result indicated that (a) "usefulness" and "future-intention" affected statically to the use, (b) "usefulness" to the future-intention, (c) "subjective judgement", "fun", and "ease of use" to the usefulness, (d) "self-efficiency" and "contents quality" to the ease of use.

  • To translate in real time, a simultaneous translation system should determine when to stop reading source tokens and generate target tokens corresponding to a partial source sentence read up to that point. However, conventional attention-based neural machine translation (NMT) models cannot produce translations with adequate latency in online scenarios because they wait until a source sentence is completed to compute alignment between the source and target tokens. To address this issue, we propose a reinforced learning (RL)-based attention mechanism, the reinforced attention mechanism, which allows a neural translation model to jointly train the stopping criterion and a partial translation model. The proposed attention mechanism comprises two modules, one to ensure translation quality and the other to address latency. Different from previous RL-based simultaneous translation systems, which learn the stopping criterion from a fixed NMT model, the modules can be trained jointly with a novel reward function. In our experiments, the proposed model has better translation quality and comparable latency compared to previous models.

  • According to the participants, the current K-MOOC (Korean Massive Open Online Course) has a few problems, such as too few courses, low content quality, and useless learner management system compared to MOOCs abroad. These problems caused diminished learner motivation. Consequently, the K-MOOC service has recorded a low course completion rate despite high expenses spent to develop the contents and thus requires remedies to fix the issues. This study drew research subjects from a pool of college and graduate students representing the primary users of the K-MOOC. This study limited the research scope to the four categories: motivation, learning experience, recognition, and performance of the Biggs' 3P Learning System Model. Based on the literature review, ten variables were selected and explored how the subjects perceived four categories using the survey questionnaire. This study also examined the relationship between ten variables and generated suggestions for the instructors, course managers, and platform developers to make the K-MOOC better.

  • Due to the advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies, many new services have become available. Among such services, recommendation systems have already been successfully applied to commercial services and made profits as in online shopping malls. Most recommendation algorithms in commercial services are based on content analysis or explicit feedback rates as in movie recommendations. However, many online shopping malls have difficulties in content analysis or are lacking explicit feedbacks on their items, which results in no recommendation system for their items. Even for such service systems, user log data is easily available, and if recommendations are possible with such log data, the quality of their service can be improved. In this paper, we extract implicit feedback like click information for items from log data and provide a recommendation system based on the implicit feedback. The proposed system is applied to a real in-service online shopping mall.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of biology contents of cyber home learning systems which provided by 16 metropolitan and provincial offices of education. The contents were evaluated by the 9 categories: needs assessment, instruction design, learning contents, teaching & learning strategy, interaction, supporting system, evaluation, ethicality and copy right. The result showed that the contents have advantage in detailed learning goal, useful learning environment, learning activities by level, and various learning parts material, but lack in evaluation method tool for personal learning by level and the latest learning material. Based on this results, it is expected that the barrier of the efficient learning contents should be searched for the complement, as well as the development high-quality educational contents and the management of cyber home learning system.

  • Since COVID-19, the education industry has shifted many of its activities to non-face-to-face channels, and many programs are still being conducted in non-face-to-face channels during the endemic. This study aims to analyze the quality factors affecting user satisfaction of synchronous and asynchronous channels operated non-face-to-face and compare the differences between the two channels. For this purpose, we analyzed the reviews of graduate students of the same content in the synchronous and asynchronous channels at H University in Seoul, Korea. The non-face-to-face learning quality factors derived through topic modeling are educational system quality, content quality, instructor quality, and expectation confirmation, and their effects on user satisfaction were empirically analyzed through survey responses related to these quality factors. The results showed that all of the quality factors had a significant positive effect on satisfaction, and there were significant differences in satisfaction factors between the two channels. This study is significant in that it suggests that improving the content itself for synchronous channels and improving the convenience of the program operation system for asynchronous channels is effective in improving user satisfaction.
