  • This paper presents the java bytecode-to-.NET MSIL intermediate language translator which enables the execution of the java program in .NET environments without JVM(java Virtual Machine), translating bytecodes produced by compiling java programs into MSIL codes. Java, one of the most widely used programming languages recently, is the language invented by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems, which is the next generation language independent of operating systems and hardware platforms. Java source code is compiled into bytecode as intermediate code independent of each platform by compiler, and also executed by JVM. .NET language such as C# and .NET platform in Microsoft Corp. has been developed to meet the needs of programmers, and cope with Java and JVM platform of Sun Microsystems. After compiling, a program written in .NET language is converted to MSIL code, and also executed by .NET platform but not in JVM platform. For this reason, we designed and implemented the java bytecode-to-.NET MSIL translator system for programs written in java language to be executed in the. NET platform without JVM. This work improves the execution speed of programs, enhances the productivity, and provides a environment for programmers to develop application programs without limitations of programming languages.

  • In fishing with the anchovy boat seine, it is required to haul up the bag net without injuring anchovy body. Not to injure anchovy body, the bag net is operated with 30 to 34 crews in the traditional method. With a view point of decreasing crews, the authors tried to operate the bag net with side drum winch and derrick boom. Side drum winch was installed beside the engine casing and it was operated by the main engine through the belt, pulley and bevel gear. The derrick boom, 7 meters long, was installed above the working deck which is located in the stern of the common boat seiner. Three single blocks are attached to the boom, each 2 meters apart from the top. A hook was attached to the free end of the block line for hooking up the bolch line which attached inside the bag net especially prepared for the purpose. The hauling end of the block line was induced to the side drum winch for hauling up the bag net. By using this mechanism, the bag net was hauled up with peeling the bag net just like in the traditional method. So the following results are found. (1) No injury of anchovy body was found in the process of hauling up. (2) The bag net can be operated by mere 14 crews. (3) Duration, spent in hauling up the bag net, was almost the same when the catch are a little amount, and less duration was needed by the experimented method than the traditional one when the catch are a large amount. the bag net. • For a rule-based conversion of Hangout into the Roman alphabet rather than a word-for-word conversion, one must come up with a faultless model for the Korean standard pronunciation rules, which are the basis of the Romanization. It is on this foundation that the Korean-Roman alphabet conversion table can be created. For linguistic modeling using PetriNet, modeling boundary and notation of modeling can be defined. In order to describe PetriNet, which is a dynamic modeling tool, as a static one, one can model the standard Korean pronunciation rules and the Hangout-Roman alphabet notation by conversion into incident matrix Thus, this research attempts to develop a mathematical modeling tool for a natural language using PetriNet, and create a Korean-Roman alphabet conversion table.

  • In this research, a hot and cold combined forging process for manufacturing net-shape one-way clutch bearing outer race of an automobile automatic transmission unit is developed. The process is composed of hot forging for manufacturing an optimized gear-like perform and precision cold forging for sizing the perform into final net-shape product. Finite element simulation techniques are applied to find the optimized process designs including blank and die shapes. The predictions and experiments are compared, revealing that they are in good agreement with each other. The dimensional test showed that the important dimensional requirements on gear tooth-like shape of the forged product were fulfilled.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of light quality on root yield and ginsenoside contents of 4-year-old ginseng by using the fourfold polyethylene shading net with different colors, blue and red color, compared to blue-black (3:1) mixed shading net as control. Control and blue shading net occurred higher root yield, especially, in tap root growth than red one, whereas transmitted quantum in red shading net was higher than those in blue one or control. However, red shading net caused the highest content of total ginsenoside, especially, Rg1 content, as compared to blue and control. We assumed that the increased content of ginsenoside is not caused by light quality such as red, but is due to the increase of relative ratio of ginsenoside in whole root tissue arising from the reduced root growth.

  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal's shape and characteristic varies through each individual, so it is difficult to classify with one neural network. It is difficult to classify the given data directly, but if corresponding normal beat is given, it is relatively easy and accurate to classify the beat by comparing two beats. In this study, we classify the ECG signal by generating the reference normal beat through the template cluster, and combining with the input ECG signal. It is possible to detect abnormal beats of various individual's records with one neural network by learning and classifying with the imaged ECG beats which are combined with corresponding reference normal beat. Especially, various neural networks, such as GoogLeNet, ResNet, and DarkNet, showed excellent performance when using the comparative learning. Also, we can confirmed that GoogLeNet has 99.72% sensitivity, which is the highest performance of the three neural networks.

  • The authors reconstruct a mooring type underwater positioning system to measure the movement of bag-net in a set-net by long base line mode with four transponders attached on the bag-net in latitudinal and a transponder fixed on the sea bed. To confirm the practical use of the system, the field experiments were carried out at the Jaran Bay, Kosung, Kyungnam Prov., on October 6, 2000 (neap tide) and November 28, 2000 (spring tide). And the vertical oscillation of bag-net was observed with three data loggers attached on the bottom of bag-net in longitudinal on November 28, 2000. The longitudinal movement range, the latitudinal one and the vertical one of the bag-net were 3.2 m, 3.4 m and 2.1 m. respectively. At the spring tide, these variations were 7.8 m, 7.8 m and 5.0 m, respectively. The vertical oscillation range about the bottom of the bag-net at near point of the slope net, at the middle part and at far point from the slope net were 3.2 m, 3.7 m and 8.4 m, respectively. The depth of the bottom net was decreased and its vertical oscillation appeared frequently when the current speed was more than 10 cm/s and the current direction was significantly different from the longitudinal axis of the bag-net. The variation of hydrophone coordinates measured by the transponder fixed on the sea bed presents that hydrophones equipped to the frame line of the set-net could be moved within several meters due to the tidal current. The fact indicates that the compensation of hydrophone coordinates is necessary to reduce the measuring errors. The position measuring errors of x, y and z axis of the system measured in the cage of aquaculture were 0.6 m, 0.8 m, and 1.2 m, respectively. And the errors of the transponders those were close to the base lines or placed in the baselines were smaller than those of others.

  • MicroRNAs (miRs) are a family of small noncoding RNAs that regulate gene expression by targeting mRNAs in a sequence specific manner, inducing translational repression or mRNA degradation. In this paper we have first analyzed by microarray the miR-profile in erythroid precursor cells from one normal and two thalassemic patients expressing different levels of fetal hemoglobin (one of them displaying HPFH phenotype). The microarray data were confirmed by RT-PCR analysis, and allowed us to identify miR-210 as an highly expressed miR in the erythroid precursor cells from the HPFH patient. When RT-PCR was performed on mithramycin-induced K562 cells and erythroid precursor cells, miR-210 was found to be induced in time-dependent and dose-dependent fashion, together with increased expression of the fetal $\gamma$-globin genes. Altogether, the data suggest that miR-210 might be involved in increased expression of $\gamma$-globin genes in differentiating erythroid cells.

  • The main purpose of this study is to develop an algorithm to solve the scheduling problems of FMS using Petri-net is well suited to model the dynamics of FMS and Petri-net is an ideal tool to formulate scheduling problems with routing flexibility and shared resources. By using the marking of Petri-net, We can model features of discrete even system, such as concurrency, asynchronous, conflict and non-determinism. The proposed algorithm in this paper can handle back-tracking using the marking of Petri-net. The results of the experiment show that marking is one of the best ways that describe exactly movement of the discrete event system. To show the effectiveness of the algorithm suggested here, we compare it with L1 algorithm using the Petri-net through the test on randomly generated test problems.
