지방도시 가로 녹지의 존재효과에 대한 보행자와 상업종사자의 의식 연구 - 충주시 가로수를 대상으로 - (The Recognition of Commercial Business Men and Employers and Pedestrian on the Existence Effect of Roadside Green Spaces in Local City - Chungju City to -)

  • The overall purpose of this study was to investigate pedestrians and commercial business men and employers' recognition on management of street trees and green spaces along street sides. The followings were main results of this study. Both pedestrians and commercial business men and employers mostly perceived positive influence of street trees on urban environment and their business. In addition, pedestrians gave higher scores of positive influence of trees function than those of commercial business men and employers. Pedestrians showed strong intention to participate management activities of street trees or green spaces. This study indicated that negative perception on street trees came from improper management rather than existence of street trees. Therefore, more intensive management actions are needed.

노외주차장 특성이 주차장 운영여부에 미치는 영향분석 : 택지사업지구를 중심으로 (The Study on Parking Lots Management according to Off-Street Parking Lots Characteristics : Focusing on Residential Development District)

  • Automobiles and parking lots have greatly been increased by the continuous development of new towns and residential districts. There were not enough parking lots; and although there were off-street parking lots available for sale, they were not easily sold. Through a parking regulation, local governments can require parking spaces for more than a certain rate in developing areas. Despite local governments should require parking spaces within the parking demand and regulation, they did not investigate parking demands. Off-street parking spaces are not easy to sell because they don't consider the parking demand. In this study, we analyzed the factors that affect the parking management in order to increase sales of the off-street parking. The factors were "the characteristics of the parking lots", "the accessibility of the off-street parking", and "the traffic environment around off-street parking." We have derived suggestions for these factors. In addition, this study has derived nine variables affecting the parking operation in these three factors, and suggested a logistic regression model and the influence of each factors. According to the analysis, "parking signs" were the most influential. Next were "land uses" and "lanes on road".

가로경관의 이미지 평가에 관한 연구 - 번화한 가로를 만드는 심리적, 물리적 인자의 분석을 중심으로 (A Study on the image evaluation of Street Landscape -Focused on an Analysis of Psychological and Physical Factors which Creates a Busy Street)

  • 가로경관의 이미지는 가로공간 안에서 시각으로 느끼는 심리적인 인자와 물리적으로는 가로의 구조에 의해서 인지되는 인자의 복합적인 체험에 의한 것이다. 그러므로 가로경관의 이미지를 알아보기 위하여 가로를 구성하는 요소들 중에서 어떤 요소가 가로의 이미지를 만드는데 많은 영향을 주는지를 알아보기 위하여 가로공간을 심리적인 측면과 물리적인 측면에서 분석하고 평가하는 연구가 필요하게 되었다. 우선, 가로공간을 지역의 특성(상업지역, 업무지역, 복합지역)으로 나누어 분석하기 위해서 지역의 특성이 명확한 가로를 평가대상으로 선정하였다. 선정된 가로에서 느끼는 심리적 인자의 정보를 파악하기 위해서 설문방법을 사용하여 평가실험을 실시하였다 실험의 분석 결과, 가로경관의 이미지는 지역의 특성에 따라서 비슷한 성향을 갖고 있으며 가로의 이미지는 쾌적함과 번화함을 만드는 인자에 의해서 많은 영향을 받는다는 것을 인자분석의 결과로 알게 되었다. 인자분석에 의해서 구분된 가로의 이미지 중에서 번화함이 있는 가로와 번화함이 없는 가로의 집단은 가로의 물리적 구성요소 면에서 각각 어떤 차이가 있어서 상반된 이미지를 갖는지를 알아보기 위해 가로의 구성 요소를 중심으로 판별분석을 실시하여 두 집단 간의 차이를 알아보았다. 분석 결과 번화함이 있는 가로와 번화함이 없는 가로의 이미지는 물리적 구성요소 중에서 가로 폭, 보도 폭과 차도 폭의 비율, 건물의 높이와 가로 폭의 비율, 그리고 식재율 등의 차이가 가로의 이미지가 상반되게 느끼게 하는데 많은 영향을 미친다는 것을 알게 되었다. 이 연구는 어떤 종류의 가로라도 가로의 이미지를 보다 명확하게 분석하고 평가할 수 있게 하였으며, 번화한 이미지를 갖는 가로를 만들기 위한 물리적 인 요소의 구성방법도 알 수 있게 하였다. 이렇게 함으로써 지역의 활성화하기 위하여 가로의 이미지를 분석하고 번화함이 있는 가로를 조성하기 위한 자료를 만드는 방법으로 많이 활용될 것으로 사료된다.

전북지역 초등학생의 길거리 음식 섭취 실태와 이에 대한 어머니의 인식도 (How Mothers Recognize Intake Status on Street Food of Elementary School Students in the Jeon Buk Region)

  • This research has been surveyed on street food and snack intake status of elementary school students in the Jeon Buk region and the recognition of mothers has been observed for the objective of providing base materials for appropriate eating habits and nutritional education. As for status on intake of street food, most students (97.3%) have shown to have eaten from the street vendors while mothers assume low frequency in their child's intake of street food. Favorite street food choices had an agreement between mother and student as ddukbokki and dakkochi. Students were more tolerant in sanitation and necessity of street food than the mothers. This research shows that there is a difference in the recognition of street food between the students and their mothers. There a need required for improvement in the system as to provide quality food and to prevent poor quality food being exposed to the students. Furthermore, practical and appropriate education must be conducted at home and at school for better choices of food and a better lifestyle. Predicting the Living Status of Homeless Youth: Living on the Street or in a Shelter

  • Information about the characteristics of street-living versus shelter-residing youth is vital for tailoring prevention and intervention efforts to the unique needs of runaway and homeless youth. The present study compared two samples of youth [street-living (n=73) versus shelter-residing (n=205)], between the ages of 14 to 17 years, on behavioral and emotional factors and service use. Based on the different characteristics of the two groups, the predictors explaining the living status of the runaways and homeless youth were explored. In general, street-living youth reported more severe substance use, depressive symptoms, and risky sexual behavior, but less lifetime service involvement compared to shelter-residing youth. The factors that predicted shelter-residing status were related to younger age, prior service care experience, more knowledge about HIV, and engaging in less delinquent and risky behavior. Given the little overlap among youth in service involvement and the greater severity faced by street-living youth, the conclusions highlight the need for increased funding and attention towards facilitating the ability of street-living youth to find and enter mental health and reintegration services.

노상주차를 고려한 저층주거지 가로유형 분류에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Street Types in Low-rise Residential Areas Considering Street Parking)

  • 이 연구는 저층주거지 가로의 노상주차가 가로환경에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위한 사전 연구로서 실제 저층주거지를 대상으로 한 사례연구를 실시하였다. 우선, 이론적 배경과 선행연구 검토를 통해 저층주거지의 발생 배경과 변화 과정을 고찰하고, 주거지 가로환경에 영향을 주는 요소를 도출하였다. 다음으로, 선정기준을 바탕으로 송파구 방이2동의 주거지역을 사례 대상지로 선정하여 현장관찰을 실시한 후 가로, 건축물, 노상주차에 대한 현황분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로, 앞서 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 저층주거지 가로의 위계와 건축물의 특성, 노상주차를 고려한 가로 유형화를 진행한 후 각 유형별 특성과 가로환경 개선을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다. 그 결과 노상주차는 사회적 합의가 이루어지기 어려운 주거지 가로에서 주로 발생하여 주거지 노상주차에 대한 대안 마련이 필요함을 시사하였다. 또한, 가로의 유형 분류 결과 동일한 지역의 이면도로라 할지라도 가로의 폭원과 저층부의 이용현황에 따라 다른 노상주차가 발생하고 그에 따른 해결방안이 필요함을 확인하였다.

Women's Street Fashion in World Fashion-Leading Cities (Classification and Style Analysis)

  • Recently, street fashion has been regularly introduced in many fashion media because both consumers and marketers began to recognize the importance of street fashion as a meaningful and objective fashion information source. As the globalization proceeds in fashion field,' the street fashion informations in major cities which has led world fashion trends become more influential on domestic fashion, but little concern has been paid on it. This study classified women's street fashion in 4 major world fashion cities such as Paris, London, New York, Tokyo and identified style characteristics of each group. For data collection, 795 front-view photos were selected from the two fashion trade publication 'STREET' and 'VIEW' which has introduced street fashion photos in those cities from 1996. Classification process went on three stages: sorting, naming and grouping. 49 undergraduate students were divided into 12 teams and about 80 photos were given to each team to sort into several sub-groups by overall images or common style characteristics. Then each sub-group was named according to common images or characteristics. Final groups came out after grouping each sub-group with a similar or same title together. For each group, common style characteristics were analyzed.

도시가로의 형태요소와 대기질과의 관계 연구 (Analyzing the Relationship between the Spatial Configuration of Urban Streets and Air Quality)

  • The traffic volume of Seoul is extremely high in comparison to other major cities in Korea, and the result has been harmful physical and mental exposure to pollution by Seoulites on a regular basis. The street air pollution is more important than the others, because the air pollution generated by street traffic directly impacts the health of nearby pedestrians. This problem requires urgent attention and resolution. Among the factors creating the air pollution originating from the street, is the configuration of streets, which have emerged as the most significant because it is related to air and pollutant dispersion. Therefore, this study was conducted under the assumption that street form affects the air quality. Study sites were classified by street characteristics, and air quality was analyzed in each class. Then the OSPM (Operational Street Pollution Model) was employed to simulate the relationship between street configuration and air quality of streets within the old city center and new city center in Seoul. After that this study analyzed the correlation between air pollution and the spatial configuration of urban streets (ex. street width, building height, building density, etc.) to determine their contributions to air pollution. The outcome of this study is as follows : First, the result that was derived from the correlation analysis between street configuration and air quality hewed that the air pollution of the street is influenced by the average height of building, width of the roads as well as traffic volume. On the roadside, the concentration level of $NO_2$ is mainly affected by the average height of building and the deviation of building height along the street and CO is affected by street width. The outcome of this study can be used as a basis for more sound urban design policies, and the promotion of desirable street environments for pedestrians.

택지개발지구내 가로형시장의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the characteristic of Street Markets in Land Development District)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristic of street markets in land development district, Dae-gu(Sung-su, Yeoung-san and Si-gy Land development districts). The result of this study is as follows, Street markets are located between detached housing estates and cooperative housing estates. Street markets are classified as private road type, linear street type and mixed type, The influential area of street markets is extended form inside of detached housing estates to arterial road. The vitality of street markets is explained by the scale of dwelling area, road system and variety of function.

  • 이 연구는 광천소도읍의 중심가로인 '광천로'에서 이루어진 도시계획 도로 개설 및 가로 환경개선 사업에 현황과 그 결과를 분석하고, 침체된 소도읍 중심가로의 보행환경 개선을 위한 기본적인 계획 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 대상 가로인 광천로에 대한 현장조사 및 이용자 인터뷰를 통하여, 장애물로 인한 보행로의 협소, 불법광고시설물로 인한 미관훼손 등이 문제점으로 파악되었다. 보행환경 개선을 통한 중심가로 활성화를 위해서는 첫째, 보행자 중심의 가로환경 구축, 둘째, 가로경관 개선, 셋째, 보행 친화적 상가 계획 그리고 마지막으로 지역 개발요소와의 연계를 통한 가로의 계획이 필요하다.
