Micronesia is an island nation located north of Papua New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean. A survey was conducted on Chuuk, which is one of the four main islands of Micronesia, from 11-25 Nov 2012. Echinoderms collected at one intertidal area as well as at 16 SCUBA diving points of 10-40 m depths in the subtidal zone were identified based on morphological characteristics. In total, 35 species from 165 individuals were identified: two crinoids, eight asteroids, four ophiuroids, seven echinoids, and 14 holothuroids. Among them, one asteroid, one ophiuroid, one echinoid, and two holothuroids were newly recorded from Micronesia.

Purpose: This study examined the effects of a kettlebell and aqua bag on the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and vastus medialis lower extremity muscle strength during a one-leg deadlift, a top-down exercise. Methods: Twenty healthy adults were enrolled in the one-leg deadlift exercise under two conditions. The muscle activity of the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and vastus medialis was measured by surface electromyography (S-EMG). A paired t-test was used for statistical analysis, and the statistical significance criteria were set to p<0.05. Results: A comparison of the muscle activity according to the degree of contraction of the gluteus maximus revealed low muscle activity in AD exercise compared to KD exercise (p<0.05), and there was no significant difference in the gluteus medius and vastus medialis (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that when the one-leg deadlift exercise is performed according to the weight characteristics, the gluteus maximus is suitable for intervention using a kettlebell, and the gluteus medius and vastus medialis are more suitable for intervention by providing instability using an aqua bag.

This study intended to analyze an influence of the structure elements on the optimal location for one-outrigger system in tall building by using MIDAS-Gen. In this investigation, the analysis parameters were the outrigger position and the stiffness of main structure elements such as shear walls, outrigger systems, exterior columns connected in outrigger system and frames not to be connected in outrigger system. For the objective of finding out the optimal location for one-outrigger system in high-rise building, we studied the lateral displacement in top level of 80 stories building. The results of this study indicated that the outrigger location and the stiffness of main structure elements such as shear walls, outrigger systems, exterior columns connected in outrigger system and frames not to be connected in outrigger system had an influence on the optimal location of one-outrigger system. In addition, it is showed that the research results can be very useful in obtaining the structure design data for looking for the optimal location of one-outrigger system in high-rise building.

In this paper, an IoT system which is increasingly popular in these days is developed. Among various international standards on the area, one M2M communication protocol is used in the system. The 0neM2M-based IoT system consists of ADN-AE modules and CSE modules. The ADN-AE module provides applications of various services. It also monitors a CSE module. The CES module is a platform that provides common services which should be provided to various AEs in an IoT system. The CSE module consists of a Network Manager module, a Message Handler module, and a Resource Manager module. The Network Manager module controls oneM2M communication and data flow in the system. The Message Handler module processes transmitted messages and the Resource Manager module manages the Resource Tree. The resource tree stores information of the objects to be managed in the system. Also, internal data flow and protocol mapping in the modules are explained.

Objective : Due to the tendency of researchers to avoid anatomical approach to East Asian medical classics, their ideas on seminal pathways have not been clearly reconstructed yet. So we tried to concretely reconstruct the pathway of semen described in ancient East Asian classics. Methods : Besides analysing the literal description about seminal pathways, we gathered and classified the ancient Viscera Drawings drawn in East Asian countries - especially the drawings in lateral view, and morphologically analysed them with some literal material. Results : We found that there were 3 major streams in the ancient Asian ideas on the seminal pathways. The first one was the modality originated from Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經), which suggested the semen flew out of the kidney. The second one was the modality arose under the influence of Taoist thinking, which suggested the semen was originated from the brain and spinal cord. The last one was revision of the first modality by Janggaebin(張介賓), which asserted semen was originated from the kidney, but was ejaculated via Myeongmun(命門). Conclusion : On the seminal pathways, there had been 2 types of ideas focussing on kidney and one idea focussing on brain and spinal cord in East Asian tradition.

Active and therapeutic sport recovery is becoming a popular and important component in approving performance for pro and recreational athletes alike. It is also helping in the realm of injury prevention. In the search of finding modalities that are widely effective, natural, and safe, acupuncture is a viable and cost-effective treatment for helping athletes achieve this goal. More direct related research is needed, but testimonials from pro athletes and the body of research that currently exists provides powerful evidence on acupunctures ability to help with enhancing recovery. Specializing in acupuncture and exercise science, Chris integrates acupuncture into musculoskeletal rehabilitation therapy or fitness training for pain modulation, speedy recovery, and enhanced performance. Clients can choose to focus on one-on-one corrective exercise therapy, manual and massage therapy, or acupuncture. However, for best results, Chris recommends all three. Other modalities that he uses in therapy are acu-taping, herbal therapy, nutrition supplementation, cupping, guasha, and stretching techniques. The corrective exercise component is one-on-one body balancing management, focusing on strength and conditioning, post physical rehab - exercise therapy, integrative sport specific exercise, weight loss, core strengthening, dynamic lumbar stabilization, active recovery techniques, and myo-fascial release techniques. The acupuncture component focuses on sport injuries, myofascial pain, peripheral neuropathy, arthritis, facial rejuvenation, stress, smoking cessation, addiction detoxification program, weight management, sport recovery and performance.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of a fall prevention program on gait ability, one leg standing-right, one leg standing-left, fear of falling, fall efficacy, and depression in the elderly. Methods: A fall prevention program was consisted of fall preventing exercise with laughter therapy. Quasi-experimental design with one group pre- and post-test was used. Twenty-two elderly were participated in this study from a community health center located in a rural area, South Korea. SPSS/WIN 18.0 was used for descriptive analysis and paired t-test. Results: After 12 weeks with a fall prevention program, gait ability (t=3.44, p=.002), one leg standing-right (t=-3.73, p=.001), one leg standing-left (t=-4.17, p<.001) and fear of falling (t=2.12, p=.046) in the elderly were significantly improved. Conclusion: A fall prevention program was effective on physical and psychological functions. This study suggested that control groups and a larger sample should be included in order to validate the effects of a fall prevention program for the elderly. Cytochrome c peroxidase (CcP) is a yeast mitochondrial enzyme which catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen peroxide to water using two equivalents of ferrocytochrome c. The CcP/cytochrome c system has many features which make it a very useful model for detailed investigation of heme protein structure/function relationships including activation of hydrogen peroxide, protein-protein interactions, and long-range electron transfer. Both CcP and cytochrome c are single heme, single subunit proteins of modest size. High-resolution crystallographic structures of both proteins, of one-to-one complexes of the two proteins, and a number of active-site mutants are available. Site-directed mutagenesis studies indicate that the distal histidine in CcP is primarily responsible for rapid utilization of hydrogen peroxide implying significantly different properties of the distal histidine in the peroxidases compared to the globins. CcP and cytochrome c bind to form a dynamic one-to-one complex. The binding is largely electrostatic in nature with a small, unfavorable enthalpy of binding and a large positive entropy change upon complex formation. The cytochrome c-binding site on CcP has been mapped in solution by measuring the binding affinities between cytochrome c and a number of CcP surface mutations. The binding site for cytochrome c in solution is consistent with the crystallographic structure of the one-to-one complex. Evidence for the involvement of a second, low-affinity cytochrome c-binding site on CcP in long-range electron transfer between the two proteins is reviewed.

Valve replacement in children, aging up to 15 years [Mean 11.g years], has been done at Seoul National University Hospital over the past 14 years since 1968. Fifty-one patients have received 59 artificial valves: 55 bioprosthetic and 4 prosthetic valves. Thirty-one patients [60.8%] had rheumatic heart disease and the remainder [39.2%] had congenital heart disease. Forty-two patients [82.4%] survived operation: 9 patients [17.7%] died within one monfi3 postoperatively and 4 patients [7.8%]during the follow-up period with the overall mortality rate of Thromboembolic complication occurred in 3 patients with 2 deaths: 5.9% embolic rate or 4.68% emboli per patient-year. One patient who had been on coumadin anticoagulation died from cerebral hemorrhage. One mitral Ionescu-Shiley valve failed 19 months after first replacement and this was successfully re-replaced with the same kind of valve. Actuarial survival rate was 59.9% at 4 years after surgery. Thromboembolism-free and valve failure-free survivals were 80.0% and 93.1% respectively. These clinical results in the pediatric age group suggested that valve replacement in children was a serious undertaking with a higher mortality rate than in adults. However, the main superiority on the low thrombogenecity of the xenograft valve over the mechanical one warrants its continuing use until the question of its durability would otherwise be answered by a further study of clinical follow-up.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the growth and change process of Korean cosmetic market that has grown more than three times since 2000. It also examined how the growth and decline of the cosmetics brands are related to the change of the cosmetic distribution structure. Research methodology: This study tried to classify the change of the Korean cosmetics market into four stages based on the market sales information. It analyzed the sales information of Korean cosmetic companies and the relationship with the sales of the brands by distribution channel. Results: One-brand store channel had played a leading role in the market growth, and multi-brand stores have grown and a number of brands also grew through that channel since 2013. Since 2016, multi-brand stores have continued to grow and have dominated the market beyond one-brand store channel. Conclusions: The changes in sales of domestic cosmetics companies have been classified based on the distribution channel type in four stages: the emergence of one-brand store, the growth of one-brand store channel, the growth of multi-brand store channel, and the decline of one-brand store channel. In conclusion, multi-brand store channels have recently grown in the Korean cosmetics market, and this trend is expected to continue.
