  • Spontaneous ignition characteristics of rice cracker were observed by preforming experiments at constant ambient temperature. As the results of the experiments, the critical spontaneous ignition temperature were exponentially decreased with the increase of ambient temperature. Type of combustion of rice cracker are smouldering combustion at low ignition temperature and flame combustion at high temperature. The rice cracker containing pam oil showed lower spontaneous ignition temperature than pure rice cracker because of oxidation heat of pam oil.

  • Almost all rotating machinery has bearings. Bearing is one of the most important part of rotating machinery. Vibration of rotating machinery depend on its bearing conditions. Bearing conditions are followings ; oil gap, bearing type, bearing temperature, bearing oil condition. Especially, bearing oil condition influences on rotating machinery vibration directly. In this paper we have discussed the abnormal vibration of turbine due to oil condition. oil whip problem was occured in the certain power plant. and we had sloved this problem through the control of operating values and alignment.

  • A high temperature resistant coating has been developed, which is mainly for heavy oil production pipes deserved the serious corrosion. The coating has excellent physical and mechanical performance and corrosion resistance at room and high temperature. In order to simulate the underground working condition of heavy oil pipes, the heat resistance of the high temperature resistant coating has been studied. The development and a study on the heat resistance of the DHT high temperature resistance coating have been introduced in this paper.

  • In the present study, the simple form of the heat transfer equation were suggested to estimate the temperature variation inside the oil pipe in order to determine the thickness of the insulating materials to retain the working oils below the critical temperature. The conservation of the thermal energy at arbitrary time were modeled to one dimensional unsteady equation with the empirical formula or data. The calculating results for non-insulation case showed that the temperature were very sensitive to the thermal convection by the velocity of the external wind. For insulation case, the insulation material which has higher density and specific heat, lower thermal conductivity should be chosen with more brighter coloring outside the pipe in order to retain the working oils below the critical temperature.

  • This paper shows the temperature characteristics of a high speed angular contact ball gearing which is 7004C type with ISO P2 tolerance class. A built-in motor type high speed spindle which adopts an oil-air lubrication system was used to measure the temperature rise up to 60,000rpm. The gearing temperature was measured using thermocouples that were attached to the outside surfaces of the outer rings. The result showed that the continuous test method which was suggested in this paper is more effective than on and off method and the lubrication oil supply rate should be reduced in high speed rolling bearings as long as the seizure does not occur. And the result were confirmed that the bearings packed with ceramic balls are superior to those with steel balls in temperature characteristics.

  • Wax deposition hinders oil flow assurance. Huge amount of money and time were required for mitigation of wax deposition in the oil field. For prediction and mitigation of wax deposition problem, Wax Appearance Temperature(WAT), which is the temperature at which the first wax crystals start to form, needs to be measured in advance. There is a standard method which is optical way to measure the WAT of transparent oil. However, standard method cannot be applied to opaque oil which is common produced oil in the field. In this study, WAT of three transparent oil samples were measured using heat flux variation analysis, viscosity variation analysis and density variation analysis, and compared with WAT measured by standard method. As a result, WAT measured by density variation analysis is the more reliable than heat flux variation analysis and viscosity variation analysis. WAT of two opaque oils were measured using density variation analysis.

  • The low temperature pyrolysis of ABS resin has been carried out in a batch reactor under the atmospheric pressure. The effect of the reaction temperature on the yield of pyrolytic oils has been determined in the present study. The oil products formed during pyrolysis were classified into gas, gasoline, kerosene, gas oil and heavy oil according to the petroleum product quality standard of Ministry of Knowledge Economy. The conversion reaches 80% after 60 min at $500^{\circ}C$ in the pyrolysis of ABS resin. The amount of the final product was ranked as gas heavy oil > gasoline > gas oil > kerosen based on the yield. The yields of heavy oil and gas oil increase with an increase in the reaction time and temperature.

  • The effects of the anaesthetic agents, clove oil and mixture of clove oil with lidocaine-HCl were evaluated on river puffer, Takifugu obscurus and tiger puffer, T. rubripes. Anaesthesia times of clove oil were affected by water temperature ($20^{\circ}C$, $24^{\circ}C$, and $28^{\circ}C$) and salinity (10, 20, and 30 ppt). Anaesthesia times of mixed samples were significantly similar with regard to exposure and recovery times, and all samples satisfied anaesthesia criteria (exposure time within 3 min and recovery time within 5 min) under the various temperatures and salinities, and the lowest to highest concentration of anaesthetics (p<0.05). Both species river puffer and tiger puffer had short exposure time with a high anaesthesia dose, high temperature ($28^{\circ}C$) and intermediate salinity (20 ppt), and were highly affected by temperature and salinity (p<0.05). The mixed anaesthetics had rapid exposure times and long recovery times in contrast to the effects of clove oil. Cortisol concentrations under the conditions of various clove oil dosages, salinity, and temperature for both species increased until 12 hrs after recovery from anaesthesia (p<0.05). After 12 hrs, cortisol concentrations decreased until after 48 hrs (p<0.05). During the simulated transportation of both species, control and sedated clove oil groups (5 ppm) were measured for water parameters, dissolved oxygen (DO), $CO_2$, respiratory frequency, $NH_4{^+}$, and pH for 6 hrs in 1 hr intervals. Water parameters of sedated groups and controls were significantly different after 2 hrs (p<0.05).

  • In accordance with the trend for high-speed multi-axes, and the increasing technical sophistication of machine tools, thermal deformation has become an important factor in the accuracy of machine tools. It was analyzed that thermal deformation error accounts for about 70% of all errors made with machine tools. For precise temperature control, both cooling and heating should be implemented. A hot gas bypass type cooling cycle method has a simplified structure and temperature control accuracy to with in ${\pm}0.1^{\circ}C$. In this study, the performances of oil cooler system, including temperature controllability according to hot gas floe and preset temperature sustainability according to temperature load, were tested. It is expected that this study will contribute to the development and performances of oil cooler system, which could minimize thermal errors and improve the quality of precision machine tools.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the database of forming limit diagram applicable to the warm forming of oil pan. The test materials are SCP1 and SCP3C with the thickness of 1.4mm which is used for the oil pan of automobile. The testing temperature is 5$^{\circ}C$~15$0^{\circ}C$ which is In the range of practical usage. The results are the forming limit diagram limiting dome height and the maximum punch load at each temperature such as 5$^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$, 6$0^{\circ}C$, 9$0^{\circ}C$, 12$0^{\circ}C$ and 15$0^{\circ}C$. From these results, we can see that the forming limit curves are translated depending upon the temperature and that FLC at low temperature is higher than at high temperature. Both of limiting dome height and maximum punch load also decrease as the temperature increases. Present results can be useful for die trial and forming analysis as a tool of evaluating the forming severity for the sheet metal forming processes at the warm working condition by comparing the practical strains with FLC.
