다단 추적 모드를 적용한 WCDMA 역방향 링크 수신기용 Normalized CP-AFC (Normalized CP-AFC with multistage tracking mode for WCDMA reverse link receiver)

  • 본 논문에서는 제 3 세대 이동 통신인 WCDMA 기지국 모뎀의 실제 구현에 적합하도록 변형된 AFC(Automatic Frequency Control) 루프를 제안한다. 제안된 AFC 루프에는 구현상의 복잡도 감소를 위하여 기존의 CP-FDD(Cross Product Frequency Difference Detector) 알고리즘을 변형한 Normalized CP-FDD 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 제안된 Normalized CP-FDD는 입력 신호 진폭 변화에 민감한 기존 CP-FDD 출력 특성을 보완하며, FDD의 출력(S-curve)의 선형화 구간을 증가시킴으로써 안정적인 주파수 오차에 대한 추정을 가능하게 한다. WCDMA에서는 IS-95 시스템과 다르게 파일롯 심볼이 연속적으로 전송되지 않으므로, FDD 입력단에 이동 평균 필터(Moving Average Filter)를 도입하여 교차곱(Cross-product)의 수를 증가시킴으로써 잡음의 영향을 감소시키고 주파수 오차에 대한 추적 시간 성능과 안정성을 향상시켰다. 또한 다단 추적 모드를 적용함으로써 수신 신호의 주파수 오차의 크기에 대한 능동적인 보상이 가능하도록 하였으며, 루프 필터의 출력을 이용한 ROM table 도약 구조의 NCO(Numerical Controled Oscillator)를 적용하여 주파수 오차를 보상하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리즘은 WCDMA 기지국 모뎀 구현에서 성공적으로 적용되었다.

Robotized Filament Winding of Full Section Parts: Comparison Between Two Winding Trajectory Planning Rules

  • Robotized filament winding technology involves a robot that winds a roving impregnated by resin on a die along the directions of stresses to which the work-piece is submitted in applications. The robot moves a deposition head along a winding trajectory in order to deposit roving. The trajectory planning is a very critical aspect of robotized filament winding technology, since it is responsible for both the tension constancy and the winding time. The present work shows two original rules to plan the winding trajectory of structural parts, whose shape is obtained by sweeping a full section around a 3D curve that must be closed and not crossing in order to assure a continuous winding. The first rule plans the winding trajectory by approximating the part 3D shape with straight lines; it is called the discretized rule. The second rule defines the winding trajectory simply by offsetting a 3D curve that reproduces the part 3D shape, of a defined distance; it is called the offset rule. The two rules have been compared in terms of roving tension and winding time. The present work shows how the offset rule enables achievement of both the required aims: to manufacture parts of high structural performances by keeping the tension on the roving near to the nominal value and to markedly decrease the winding time. This is the first step towards the optimization of the robotized filament winding technology.

바다양체 위상 표현을 바탕으로 한 박판 형상 모델링 및 솔리드로의 변환 (Sheet Modeling and Transformation of Sheet into Solid Based on Non-manifold Topological Representation)

  • In order to create a solid model more efficiently for a plastic or sheet metal product with a thin and constant thickness, various methods have been proposed up to now. One of the most typical approaches is to create a sheet model initially and then transform it into a solid model automatically for a given thickness. The sheet model as well as the transitive model in sheet modeling procedure is a non-manifold model. However, the previous methods adopted the boundary representations for a solid model as their topological framework. Thus, it is difficult to represent the exact adjacency relationship between topological entities and to implement the topological operations for sheet modeling and the transformation procedure of a sheet into a solid. In this paper, we proposed a sheet modeling system based on a non-manifold topological representation which can represent solids, sheets, wireframes, and their mixture. A set of generalized Euler operators for non-manifold topology as well as the sheet modeling capabilities including adding, bending, and punching functions are provided for easy modeling of sheet objects, and they are perfomed interactively with a two dimensional curve editor. Once a sheet model is completed, it can be transformed into a solid automatically. The transformation procedure is composed of the offset functions and the Boolean operations of sheet models, and it is even more comprehensive and easier to be implemented than the precious methods.

동일 플렛폼 차량에 대한 저속 충돌시 손상성 수리성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Damageability and Repairability with Similar Platform Type at Low Speed 40% Offset Crash Test)

  • The damageability and repairability of similar platform type vehicles could be very concerned with design optimization. In all the vehicles crash tested, small size passenger vehicles were weakness in aspect of damageability and repairability. The most critical area appears to be repair cost considering that parts cost is the largest portion of total repair cost segments. Besides repair cost, attaching method of front sidemember and subframe are placed special importance for impact energy absorption and damageability and repairability. So in order to improve damageability and repairability of vehicle structure and body component of the monocoque type passenger vehicles, the end of front side member and front back beam should be designed with optimum level and to supply the end of front side member as a partial condition approx 300mm. The effectiveness of design concept on the 40% offset frontal impact characteristics of the passenger vehicle structure is investigated and summarized.

세립분 함유량이 동결 사질토의 파괴특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Fine Contents on the Fracture Characteristics of Frozen Sand)

  • 동토의 세립분 함유량에 따른 파괴특성을 파악하기 위해 -10℃의 온도에서 다양한 세립분 함유량과 초기 노치(notch)의 위치를 조정한 직사각형 공시체를 제작하여 Three-point bending 시험을 수행하였다. 시험결과를 바탕으로 동토의 mode I 파괴인성(fracture toughness)을 산정하였으며, 하중-변형 곡선의 최대점까지의 fracture energy를 산정하여 동토의 mixed-mode(mode I + II) 파괴특성을 파악하였다. 시험결과, 최대하중 및 mode I 파괴인성은 세립분 함유량 10%까지 증가하다가 15%에서 다시 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 또한, 노치의 위치가 공시체 중심에서 멀어질수록 mode II 하중의 증가로 인해 균열이 진행하는데 필요한 fracture enenrgy가 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 세립분 함유량이 증가할수록 mode II 하중의 증가비율 또한 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

자유곡면으로 이루어진 Cavity의 가공경로생성 (Tool Path Generation of a Die Cavity Defined by Sculptured Surfaces)

  • This paper deals with a new method for the machining of a die cavity defined by sculptured surfaces. In machining die cavities or pockets, process planners have been faced with some troulbes. One of the troubles ius to rebove a great deal of material within a given boundary while avoiding cutter interference. Cutter interference is a ciritical problem in NC machining of a die cavity. Even though this cavity machining has been implemented in many CAM systems, most of them can handle limited shapes of cavities or pockets. In this paper, a procedure has been developed to machine die cavity or pocket of a sculptured surface. The offset surfaces of the part surfaces and boundary surfaces are determined to calculate the intersection curves. These intersection curves form a FACE on the part surface, and the interference free tool pathe is generated by eliminating the points outside the FACE when computing the cutter contact (CC) data. Additionally, the cutter location (CL) data obtained from the CC data convert to an NC data. The NC data generated through this algorithm are verified on the CINCINNATI milling machine. A propotype die cavity machining system has been implemented in FORTRAN language and FIGARO graphics library on IRIS workstation.

  • For precise motion control, S-curve velocity profile is generally used but it has disadvantage of relatively long calculation time for floating-point arithmetics. In this paper, we present a new generating method for velocity profile to reduce delay time of profile generation so that it overcomes such disadvantage and enhances the efficiency of precise motion control. In this approach, the velocity profile is designed based on the gamma correction expression that is generally used in image processing to obtain a smoother movement without any critical jerk. The proposed velocity profile is designed to support both T-curve and S-curve velocity profile. It can generate precise profile by adding an offset to the velocity profile with decimals under floating point that are not counted during gamma correction arithmetic operation. As a result, the operation time is saved and the efficiency is improved. The proposed method is compared with the existing method that generates velocity profile using ring buffer on a 8-bit low-cost MCU. The result shows that the proposed method has no delay in generating driving profile with good accuracy of each cycle velocity. The significance of the proposed method lies in reduction of the operation time without degrading the motion accuracy. Generated driving signal also shows to verify effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 디스플레이 특성화 방법, 예를 들어 gain-offset-gamma (GOG) 모델 혹은 S-curve 모델에서는 일반적으로 디스플레이가 두 가지의 기본적인 특성, 즉 채널 색도 일관성과 채널 독립성을 가지고 있다고 가정한다. 하지만, 모바일 LCD의 경우, 이러한 가정은 잘 적용되지 않는다. 따라서 기존의 디스플레이 특성화 방법을 모바일 디스플레이에 적용하기 위해서는 부분적인 수정이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 채널 색도 변화성의에 기인하여 나타나는 X, Y, Z 값의 전광 변환 함수의 차이를 고려하기 위해 각 채널당 X, Y, Z 값의 전광 변환 함수를 전부 모델링하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한, 채널 상호작용에 기인하여 나타나는 채널 사이의 충분하지 않은 가산성을 보상하기 위해 채널간 성분, 즉 cyan, magenta, yellow, gray에 대해서도 X, Y, Z 값의 전광변환 함수를 전부 모델링하여 이용한다. 실험을 통하여, 제안한 특성화 방법이 채널 색도 변화 또는 채널 의존성을 고려한 다른 특성화 방법에 비하여 모바일 디스플레이에서의 색 자극 값을 더욱 정확히 예측한다는 것을 보여 주었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 IEEE802.11a에서 STBC를 이용하는 시스템에 적합한 채널 추정 기법을 제안하였다. 일반적으로 STTC를 이용하는 OFDM 시스템에 대해 강인한 채널 추정기법이 제안된 바 있으나, 이 방법은 상당한 계산량을 요구한다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 Curve Fitting을 이용하는 채널 추정 기법으로 계산량을 줄이고 채널 추적 성능을 향상시키기 위한 방법이다. 제안된 방법으로 지연확산 도플러 주파수등 여러 그룹의 크기와 수에 따른 성능을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의해 비교분석하였다. 실험결과 도플러 주파수 편이는 주파수 옵셋과 동일한 영향을 미친다는 사실을 확인하였고, 채널추정 성능이 기존방법보다 0.9dB의 SNR 개선을 가짐을 확인하였다.

3차 복합 스플라인을 이용한 선형의 리모델링 및 설계 파라메터 계산 (Remodeling of Hull Form and Calculation of Design Parameters using Cubic Composite Spline)

  • This paper deals with a method calculating various hull form parameters which are required in numerical analysis for ship performance such as motion, maneuverability, resistance and propulsion, etc. After the hull form is designed, before the model tests the ship's performances are evaluated by various analysis tools in which the hull form parameters are used with many kinds of forms aside from offset data. Here, The hull form parameters characterize the properties of hull form and contain positional, differential and integral information implicitly. Generally, the commercial CAD-system has not functions enough for supporting these form parameters and therefore each shipyard uses its own in-house analysis program as well as commercial analysis software. To overcome these limitations, modules for supporting these analysis programs have developed. The modules contain cubic composite spline cure using local curve fairing, intersect algorithm, Gaussian integral, and other geometric techniques needed in calculating hull form parameters. Using our analysis-supporting modules, a complex hull form can be remodeled exactly to the hull form designed by CAD-system and any hull form parameter required in various performance analyses can be calculated.
