The Work Scope of Remodelling for the Intelligent Office Building (기존 사무소건축의 IB화를 위한 리모델링 작업범위)

  • The IB is normally defined in terms of BA, OA, security system, information processing and telecommunications services However, the buildings being already in existence are deficient in two areas. One of these areas is building envelope and plan. The other area is mechanical, electrical and structural systems which do not provide the environmental quality required by IB. Existing technology and design knowledge are available to address these deficiencies. Especially, the office buildings being already in existence must meet IB requirement in order to achieve desirable office environment. They are a building envelope, moisture control, properly-located windows, shafts for duct, telephone and electric closets and acoustical environments. In this paper, a new approach to construct the work scope of remodelling the office building being already existence is described by contrasting the building performance criteria of IB. It concludes by speculating on the consequences of extrapolating the results of study to remodelling the office building being already existence.

  • The focus of this study is that spacial, material, functional, cubical reasons are visually expressed on high-rise office Architecture in Korea according to the period of their completion. Office buildings are analyzed in three of exterior composition : Lower, Middle, Top part of the Building, Comparing the whole composition of the Building, forty-five types of compositions are extracted ; expression of formal, material, structural, functional Decoration which show the tendencies of Korean office buildings.

  • The purpose of this study is to have a guideline for mixed-use between school buildings and the community facilities as one of the suggestions to satisfy the needs of the society and to overcome the limitations of the supply of regional facilities. Main contents of this study are as a follow : 1) Arrangement of concept for mixed-use facilities, 2) Classification of community facilities for school buildings. 3) Distribution of school buildings in Nowon-Gu 4) Distribution of community facilities in Nowon-Gu 5) A proposal of mixed-use guide line between school buildings and public office.

  • The purpose of this research is providing the fundamental data for the effective workplace design, so that employees are not suffered from physical barrier. This research based on literature review. And then gain actual data by auditing buildings and data have been analyzed by percentage. The results and conclusions of research are the follow: In order to evaluate the law-abiding levels of office buildings, classifying the sources as the three levels. Just 44.2 percentage of building were marked on 'compliance' level. And also the 24% was 'not compliance' 31.8% was 'not accommodation'. The actual office building was out of the allowance of regulations so the regulations should be added both about new building and ready-built buildings.

  • The greenhouse effect caused by human activities is becoming increasingly serious. The building industry, which is directly related with carbon emissions, has the responsibility and potentiality to reduce carbon emissions. Recently, Chinese and foreign academics have achieved some research results with respect to building carbon emissions. This paper tries to examine these issues in the context of climate conditions in the Shanghai area. Based on the typical floor plans of high-rise office buildings, analysis was performed via software simulation and data analysis; the paper explores the relationship between different design methods of typical floor plans and carbon emissions. The objective is to deliver results beneficial to typical floor-design methods with respect to the reduction of carbon emissions, so as to provide a reference for architects.

  • With developments of architectural and information technologies at the knowledge-information oriented society in the 21st century, there are the needs on intelligent buildings equipped with advanced systems to integrate both technologies. The intelligent building means a smart building which provides comfortable environments, realizes fast and speed information and telecommunication network services, and maximizes work productivities by adopting various systems suitable to uses, sizes, and functions of buildings. In order to meet these needs of the times, the domestic intelligent building certification system has been enforced in 2006. Recently, the intelligent building certification system was newly revised for revitalizing the spread of intelligent buildings. Thus, this paper investigates rating criteria and assessment standards of the new certification system focused on office building projects and suggests strategies for obtaining certifications by analyzing cases which were certified on the previous version of the system.

  • Standard Building Operation Conditions(SBOC) is to describe typical conditions under which a building would operate during the coulee of a day In order to develop SBOC profiles for office building, we surveyed the operating conditions of randomly selected 20 existing office buildings in Seoul by means of enquetes, and made SBOC profiles. SBOC profiles consist of human occupancy profile, light ins usage profile, system schedule and domestic hot water profile etc. SBOC profiles will be used as input data of DOE-2 computer program to estimate DER(Design Energy Requirements) and to develop EBL (Energy Budget Level), SBOC profiles are not meant to be exact description of how a building will actually be used by its respective users. Rather they are intended to be reasonable typical project ions of how buildings might be used.

  • Recently, a lower levels space has turned into a mediating space where people can experience urban spaces directly and it has revitalized communication between the city and company and also it has changed itself newly. In addition, this space which is connecting interior and exterior spaces of company's buildings can attract people living in the downtown as shock-absorbing and transitional space and it is getting more important part in urban context these days. Through case studies of corporate office space planning characteristics derived lower levels and to provide direction for the lower levels of the corporate office space planning purposes of the present study. Therefore, I establish the concept of the public good corporate office space and transition space, the concept of transition through the first Theoretical Methods. I investigate the properties of the transition area is used as the target for completion of the current construction culture destination since 2000, winning the corporate office, I have been talking about the characteristics of the corporate office along the lower part of the last PPS assessment criteria to apply to the building. PPS by applying an assessment factor can be derived for building enterprise case studies and analysis of the results the following conclusions about the use of publicity and transition space. First, lower levels of corporate office space had been applied to the use and activity in a very important project characteristics. Second, corporate office space, lower levels of access and linkages are important. Finally, in terms of public characteristics transition space is a important characteristic for low-rise space of headquarter buildings.

  • Due to the Climate change and resource shortage by global warming, various problems are rising and getting worse around the world. Many countries are doing the considerable efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The government of South Korea also plans to decrease greenhouse gas emission, the various pilot projects are underway, which includes obligation of energy efficiency 1st rating and greenhouse gas target management system of public buildings. In particular, luxurious government office buildings and energy-wasting public building have issued and emerged as a social problem. Energy efficiency improvement of the existing public office buildings are becoming an important issue recently. This study is proposed the step-by-step energy improvement model according to the building energy efficiency rate in order to reduce the energy consumption. To attain this end, I set up a base model by analyzing the current architectural conditions of the existing public office buildings and grasped the specific properties of building energy consumption through energy simulations. Furthermore, I suggested phased reduction prototypes for the reduction target of energy consumption by applying the methods of the zero energy building plan. This study is expecting that prototypes would give directions when it comes to planning the implementation policy of phased building plan factors, according the building energy consumption reduction goal in the existing public office buildings which are the subject of building energy target management system.
