초등학교 교사와 학부모의 직업관 및 진로교육에 대한 인식 (The Occupational View and Perception on Career Education of Teachers and Parents in Elementary School)

  • This research studied occupational view and perceptions of career education for elementary school by elementary school teachers and parents. Questionnaires were administered to 113 teachers and 523 parents. Data were analyzed by ${\chi}^2$ and t-test. Results showed statistically significant differences in teachers' occupational view by sex, educational background, field experience in elementary school, and experience of inservice teacher education; statistically significant differences in parents' occupational view by sex and age; statistically significant differences between teachers and parents in occupational views; and statistically significant differences between teachers and parents in perceptions of career education. Occupations providing stable livelihood were preferred by parents, by male teachers, teachers with masters' degrees, and by teachers whose education had included inservice training.

치과위생사의 감정노동과 직무스트레스에 관한 연구 (A study on emotional labor and occupational stress in dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of dental hygienists in how they view their work and how they rate their emotional labor and occupational stress. Gathering this data was an effort to provide information on how to increase occupational satisfaction and improve work environments for dental hygienists. Methods: We analyzed data collected from 178 dental hygienists. The dental hygienists were randomly selected by convenience sampling from dental hospitals. Results: Our results showed that pediatric hygienists had more negative responses in regard to their views on their work. As for emotional labor, dental hygienists from pediatric dental clinics experienced heavier emotional labor than those from general dental clinics. On the other hand, dental hygienists from general dental clinics suffered more from occupational stress than pediatric dental hygienists did. Conclusions: Given the findings of this study, effective and ideal programs that promote occupational satisfaction for dental hygienists should be prepared, and strategies should be developed to resolve emotional labor and improve their work environments, as well.

직무에 대한 임상실습 지도자와 신입 작업치료사의 견해 -의료기관에 근무하는 성인 작업치료사를 중심으로- (View of Occupational Therapy Fieldwork Supervisor and Novice Occupational Therapists in Job : Focusing on Adult Occupational Therapists that Work on Hospital)

  • 본 연구는 작업치료사 직무에 대해 임상실습 지도자와 신입 작업치료사의 견해를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상자는 국내 58개의 의료기관에서 임상실습을 지도하는 117명의 작업치료사와 신입 작업치료사 104명이었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.0 윈도우용 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, 중위수와 범위를 구하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 임상실습 지도자는 실습생을 평가할 때 기본적인 소양과 매너를 가장 중요하게 생각하였다. 둘째, 신입 작업치료사는 대부분의 직무에서 중요도는 10점, 수행도는 7점, 만족도는 6점으로 생각하고 있었다. 셋째, 직무에 대한 임상실습 지도자의 중요도는 중재계획의 문제 확인과 치료계획 수립이 1위와 2위로 나타났지만, 신입 작업치료사의 수행도는 2위를 제외한 5위 내의 4개가 모두 평가 직무인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 신입 작업치료사가 겪는 어려운 점을 해결하기 위해 임상실습이 나아가야 할 방향을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Dental Coordinator의 직업의식에 관한 주관성 연구 (A Research Relative to the Subjective View on the Occupational Consciousness of the Dental Coordinator)

  • This research is an attempt to establish a basic material in discovering the subjective types of the dental coordinators occupational consciousness, utilizing the Q-Method Theory, which is capable of measuring the subjective nature of human being by scientific and systematic method. The characteristics of each type were analyzed so as to have the dental coordinator to possess the desirable understanding of the occupational view together for them to have self-confidence as a lifetime specialty occupation. Upon completion of the study, it was found that there are three types of subjective views pertaining to the occupational consciousness on the dental coordinator. The result on the analysis of the characteristics is as follows : Type 1 is the Taking Serious View on the Patient Service, which priority is placed on kindness and looking after any difficulties of the patient, namely, it is the type that puts the importance on the high level medical examination and treatment based on good service. Because of the kind service to the patient, those under this category considered their job satisfaction have been improved. It goes without saying that they were developing the services, which satisfy themselves, and it was confirmed that they thought that they should make things smooth for any development of problems that may arise between the patient and the dentist. Type 2 is the Taking Serious View on Career and Organizational Strength. This is a type that aims on the systematic nature of the internal job, namely, organizational strength itself viewed from the stand point thai either self-confident or work merit is proportional to experience. This type is to actively treat the problem and endeavor to solve the issue when dissatisfaction is held by the dental hospital system, which is either followed according to the work responsibility or by an organization having an appropriate system on remuneration, Type 3 is the Placing of Importance on the Overall Circumstances. This is the type that places importance on the overall now of the dental hospital, and it is the type, that most greatly recognizes the importance of the role of the dental coordinator. The dental coordinator should provide the sense of reliability to both the dentist and to the staff of the medical examination and treatment and should be able to adjust smoothly the overall now of the medical treatment. The dental coordinator is expected to be a medical service specialist, who is capable to solve the problems of the staff of the medical treatment intuitively and to adjust the relation between the employees. With the above result, it was found that although there was no mutual exclusiveness between the respective types, there are particular characteristics among each type. Therefore, this research has discovered and analyzed the subjective view types relative to the occupational consciousness of the dental coordinator for the proper understanding on the characteristics of each type to enable the dental sanitary students and the graduates of the Dental Sanitary Department, who are aspiring to become dental coordinator, as the basic guide material to be actively utilized.

초등정보과학영재와 일반학생의 진로발달 및 직업관 인식에 대한 조사 연구 (Conceptions Toward Career Development and Occupational View between Giftedness in Computer Science and Normal Students in Elementary School)

  • 초등정보과학영재학급의 학생과 일반학급 학생의 진로발달과 직업관을 비교하여 초등정보과학영재를 위한 진로교육의 방향 설정 및 지도에 있어 기초 자료 및 시사점을 제공하기 위하여 초등정보과학영재 82명과 일반학생 167명을 대상으로 진로발달과 직업관에 대한 조사를 실시하고 특징을 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로에 대한 의식 분석 결과 초등정보과학영재는 과학기술자를, 일반학생은 예술인을 희망하는 선택을 가장 많이 하였다. 두 집단 모두 진로에 관한 정보를 부모에게서 얻으며 교사와 상담하는 학생은 매우 드물었다. 초등정보과학영재교육이 학생들의 꿈을 변화시키는 데는 크게 기여하지 못하였으며, 일반학생은 정보과학에 대한 관심이 부족하였다. 둘째, 진로발달 분석 결과 초등정보과학영재는 일반학생보다 모든 영역에서 진로발달 평균이 유의미하게 높았다. 셋째, 직업관 분석 결과 초등정보과학영재는 일반학생보다 직업관 평균이 유의미하게 높았다. 넷째, 진로발달과 직업관의 상관관계 분석 결과 진로발달과 직업관은 모든 영역에서 양의 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 진로발달이 높을수록 확실한 직업관을 가지며, 반대로 확실한 직업관을 가졌다면 진로발달이 높다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 조사결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 내용을 제안하였다. 첫째, 부모의 영향을 많이 받는 학생들을 위하여 진로 관련 학부모 교육을 실시할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 학생들에게 정보과학분야의 다양한 정보를 제공하고 체계적인 교육과정을 구성하여 정보과학에 대하여 흥미를 가질 수 있도록 함으로써 학생들이 정보과학 관련 진로에 대한 긍정적인 생각을 갖도록 할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 초등정보과학영재를 위하여 피상적인 진로교육이 아닌 영재 스스로 목표를 세우고 미래의 직업인으로서 어떻게 공부하고 어떤 직업을 선택할지 안내할 수 있는 진로교육을 강화할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 이를 위해 교사들이 학생들의 진로지도를 효과적으로 실시할 수 있는 관련 연수를 실시함으로써 학생들이 진로와 직업을 확실하게 인식하고 준비할 수 있도록 도와야할 것이다.

  • A major purpose of management or occupational safety is a significant decrease in safety accidents. With this view, the establishment of occupational safety culture and the building of occupational communication network stand out as being more important than the past. This study has analysed the positive effects of occupational safety communication on safety consciousness and action of the employees in workplace. And it is confirmed that the occupational safety communication in workplace is the essential mechanism, through which the workers internalize safety consciousness and act safely. The safety consciousness and action of the employees are formed in safety culture, which is not only legal regulations, but a daily communication network in workplace. In these sense, the building of the occupational safety communication network is decisive for the establishment of safety culture. For these reasons, this study makes the proposition that a firm promotion of occupational communication network is necessary, which connects the safety culture and a effective safety management in workplace.

네트워크분석을 통한 직업건강간호학회지 논문의 지식구조 분석 (Knowledge Structure of the Korean Journal of Occupational Health Nursing through Network Analysis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify knowledge structure of the Korean Journal of Occupational Health Nursing from 1991 to 2014. Methods: 400 articles between 1991 and 2014 were collected. 1,369 keywords as noun phrases were extracted from articles and standardized for analysis. Co-occurrence matrix was generated via a cosine similarity measure, then the network was analyzed and visualized using PFNet. Also NodeXL was applied to visualize intellectual interchanges among keywords. Results: According to the results of the content analysis and the cluster analysis of author keywords from the Korean Journal of Occupational Health Nursing articles, 7 most important research topics of the journal were 'Workers & Work-related Health Problem', 'Recognition & Preventive Health Behaviors', 'Health Promotion & Quality of Life', 'Occupational Health Nursing & Management', 'Clinical Nursing Environment', 'Caregivers and Social Support', and 'Job Satisfaction, Stress & Performance'. Newly emerging topics for 4-year period units were observed as research trends. Conclusion: Through this study, the knowledge structure of the Korean Journal of Occupational Health Nursing was identified. The network analysis of this study will be useful for identifying the knowledge structure as well as finding general view and current research trends. Furthermore, The results of this study could be utilized to seek the research direction in the Korean Journal of Occupational Health Nursing.

Prevention and Early Detection of Occupational Cancers - a View of Information Technology Solutions

  • Thousands of people die each year from cancer due to occupational causes. To reduce cancer in workers, preventive strategies should be used in the high-risk workplace. The effective prevention of occupational cancer requires knowledge of carcinogen agents. Like other areas of healthcare industry, occupational health has been affected by information technology solutions to improve prevention, early detection, treatment and finally the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the healthcare system. Information technology solutions are thus an important issue in the healthcare field. Information about occupational cancer in information systems is important for policy makers, managers, physicians, patients and researchers; because examples that include high quality data about occupational cancer patients and occupational cancer causes are able to determine the worker groups which require special attention. As a result exposed workers who are vulnerable can undergo screening and be considered for preventive interventions.
