  • I studied in this paper on the comparative study between the constructivism and the structuralism as the educational methods. On the constructivism in educational methods they say that knowledge is constructed subjectively by person individually(cognitive constructivism) or by persons reciprocally in the society(social constructivism). On the structuralism in educational methods they say that knowledge(structure) is in the closed-end text objectively and person pursue and identify this objective knowledge in the closed-end text. But on the post-structuralism(neostructuralism) they say that the text is not closed-ended but open-ended. So constructivism is consistent with post-structuralism. Education include application of knowledge and awareness of knowledge on my opinion. Education on application of knowledge is more important in this knowledge based society. Constructivism connote the application of knowledge in the education. School library media center and media specialist(teather-librarian) are essential elements of this application of knowledge in the education.

  • Knowledge management was introduced as a new strategy in many construction companies aiming at paradigm shift since Asian financial Crisis. However, intensive focusing on acquiring and sharing knowledge couldn't keep pace with the primary goal. Increasing financial profits. That is because clear strategic process and performance measurement are absent in time of the introduction of knowledge management. Based on case analysis in domestic construction industry, this research work presents an alternative plan on Balanced Scorecard(BSC) model. The objective of this study is to develop a model of strategic performance measurement in knowledge management by sorting and grasping core operational knowledge, which can draw key performance indicators accompanied by knowledge map from case study.

  • The purpose of this study is to present an objective basis for the entry point of a knowledge-based economy, that is used by quantitative analysis to serve as 'The Result of Wage Structure Survey' and 'Sample Design for Survey Report on Labor Conditions by Employment Type' of the Ministry of Employment & Labor. Entry criteria for a knowledge-based society, through the definition of a Bell and Toffler, was defined by the number of information workers more than the number of physical workers, and the information workers were classified by knowledge workers. To redefine the definition of Porat's typology of information workers, Korea Standard Classification of Occupation is classified by the job of knowledge, service, industry and agriculture. The result of the analysis is appeared the entry point of a knowledge-based economy by workers structural changes and annual wage structure changes has identified empirically-year 1980 the United States more than 20 years later in 2000. In addition, the economic contribution of knowledge occupation was confirmed to be the biggest by measuring the economic contribution of occupation classification in the knowledge society.

  • When Korean family planning services began as a part of the National Policy in 1962, the annual population growth was 3.0%. This growth rate has been decreased to 2.0% during last ten year period. And it seems imperative that all hospitals, as well as related organizations, should participate in family planning in order to contribute to achieving the National goal of 1.5% population growth by 1976, the end of the Third Five Year Economic Development Plan. Nurses should be considered the most important human resources in charge of the core of family planning services in any setting. For the family planning services in the general hospital setting, nurses as a core members contribute much as change agent, motivators, counsellors, educators etc. A nurse can work with patients and their relatives when she is equipped with relevant knowledge and skills. Fur the more family planning cannot be ignored even in hospital setting where more comprehensive nursing care is needed Thus, the general objective of this study is to provide baseline data for better programming of In-service education in family planning so that effective hospital family planning nursing services can be made a part of comprehensive nursing care contributing to the national population program and human welfare. In order to meet the general objective, this study has the following specific objectives : 1. To find out the general characteristics of the clinical nurses working in Y Hospital 2. To evaluate their attitudes and practices of family planning 3. To assess their knowledge, attitudes and practices of population and family planning as professional nurses. 4. To examine and compare data collecting methods for the planning of an In-service Educational Program 5. To explore the contents to be included in this In-service Education Program. The study population randomly selected one hundred nurses working in Y Hospital A cross-sectional survey with questionnaires developed for this study was chosen for the study method. To collect reliable data, the questionnaires were distributed to and answered by the study population in a controlled situation. X²test and t-test was employed in analyzing the data. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. Y Hospital nurses had a lower ideal number of children (X=2.02) and showed no strong preference for male children, and 74% of them expressed the desire to use permanent methods of birth control 2. of this thirty Y Hospital nurses who were married 66.7% stated they were already practicing contraceptive methods. Most of them preferred male methods of contraception. 3. According to objective evaluation about knowledge of various aspects of population and family planning, respondents from collegiate programs significantly knew better the subjects on the average than did respondents from diploma programs of nursing. 4. There was a marked difference in the results of self-evaluation and objective evaluation in their family planning knowledge. It was found that the self-evaluation family planning knowledge seemed to be unreliable. Accordingly, the objective test methods appeared to be more reliable in the evaluation of knowledge levels. 5. The subject areas needed to be included in In-service education for the Hospital family planning services in Y Hospital are 1) rhythm methods, 2) tubal-legation, 3) family planning effects of contraceptives, 4) population growth, 5) demographic traction, 6) population structure and 7) infant mortality facts. In addition, 1) various oral contraceptives, 2) basal temperature method, 3) laparoscopic female sterilization, 4) interfering factors of family planning, 5) anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive organs were additional areas to be taught to respondents from 3-year diploma schools of nursing. Demographic transition was one subject area in which the four-year graduates need further study. 6. Population problems guidance and counselling in family planning instruction in the theory and practice of contraceptives should be included in future In-service Education Programs in order to provide more effective hospital Family Planning Services, stated 77.0% of the respondents.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the progression levels of science metamodeling knowledge through using questionnaires for 97 students of the gifted in G science academy. As a result of the Rasch model analysis, it was confirmed that the progression levels of the scientific metamodeling knowledge is suitable for the person reliability of 0.71 and the item reliability of 0.96. The progression levels of students' science metamodeling knowledge were classified into 4 stages. First and second levels were considered model to be objective and the third and fourth stages were perceived as subjective. The first level is to view the model as a visual representation of a phenomenon as it is, and the second level is to think that the model corresponds to objective knowledge or theory and is a tool for explanation. The Third level looks at the model as a scientist's exploration tool and fourth level is to think that the model is provisional one and multiple models can coexist in one phenomenon. The progression levels of science metamodeling knowledge of science high school students derived from this study is expected to be used as a reference when constructing a curriculum for science modeling and modeling for gifted students.

It is a fact that can be easily understood through a situation of present education and the law. The research in the eastern philosophy of the 'personality' has been handled in regard to Yangmingxue, but a practical principle of education can be also found in an aspect of Zhuzixue indeed. That is Zhu'zi's study of 'gaining knowledge by the study of things' which was criticized by Yangming. This paper is to examine that with 'gaining knowledge by the study of things', which is known as study of 'zhi', we can find the practical principle which is applied to the education of personality. This research is to examine the relationship between 'Zundexing(尊德性)' and 'Daowenxue(道問學)' which are characters of cultivating study of Zhuzixue and the characteristics of the study of Zhu'zi by examining 'gaining knowledge by the study of things', the main method of 'Daowenzue'. This study, then, to show the meaning of study of 'gaining knowledge by the study of things' exploring prncan appropriate education of personality in this time drawing practical principle which can be applied to education of personality through the process and principle of 'taking the objective principles(格物)' and 'achieving morl self-Congnition(致知)'. Then, through the process and principles of 'taking the objective principles' and 'achieving morl self-Congnition ', this paper explore factors of the education of personality and the principles that can be applied in the education field, so as to reveal the significance of studying 'gaining knowledge by the study of things' in terms of the education of personality for this age.

  • Health-care workers are at risk of exposure to occupational infections with subsequent risk of contracting diseases, disability, and even death. A systematic collection of occupational disease data is useful for monitoring current trends in work situations and disease exposures; however, these data are usually limited due to under-reporting. The objective of this study was to review literature related to knowledge, risk perceptions, and practices regarding occupational exposures to infectious diseases in Malaysian health-care settings, in particular regarding blood-borne infections, universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and clinical waste management. The data are useful for determining improvements in knowledge and risk perceptions among health-care workers with developments of health policies and essential interventions for prevention and control of occupational diseases.

  • The objective of knowledge discovery and data mining lies in the generation of useful insights from a store of data. This paper presents a framework for knowledge mining to provide a systematic approach to the selection and deployment of tools for automated learning. Every methodology has its strengths and limitations. Consequently, a multistrategy approach may be required to take advantage of the strengths of disparate technique while circumventing their individual limitations. For concreteness, the general framework for data mining in marketing is examined in the context of developing agents for optimizing a supply chain network.
