Purpose : The aim of this study was to investigate healed bovine bone particles ($Bio-Oss^{(R)}$) and absorbable collagen sponge ($CollaPlug^{(R)}$) applied extraction socket site at 4-6 months' post-extraction. Material and methods : From August, 2004 to October, 2005, 17 sockets in 5 adult patients were selected out of the patients whose received ridge preservation using bovine bone particles and absorbable collagen sponges at Dept. of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Samsung Medical Center. There were 5 male patients, ages 30 to 58 years. Immediate postoperation and 4-6 months after operation study models were compared to evaluate the ridge dimension by measuring vertical height and horizontal width of alveolar ridge. Results : The measurements at 4-6 months revealed, in the ridge dimension, a loss of vertical height of 0.91${\pm}$0.40mm and horizontal width of 1.25${\pm}$0.58mm. There was no adverse reaction. Conclusion : This study suggests that treatment of extraction sockets with graft materials and collagen sponges is valuable in preserving alveolar bone in extraction sockets and preventing alveolar ridges defects.
Ameloblastoma is the most agrressive ofht odontogenic tumors and it arises from the dental lamina or the derivatives of lamina. Ameloblastoma is a benign but locally invasive neoplasm consisting of proliferating odontogenic epithelium lying in a fibrous stroma. Usually the ameloblastomas are diagnosed in the forth and fifth decardes. Over 80% of them occur in the mandible, the remainder in the maxilla. The preferred treatment for ameloblastoma is radical excision, conserving(when possible. the inferior border of the mandible. The functional and esthetic rehabilitation of the partially edentulous patient may prevent the remaining structures from supporting conventional prosthetic treatment. Patients with long edentulous spans, malpositioned teeth, residual ridges defects and high muscle attachments may be offered an osseointegrated fixed prosthesis. Osseointegrated dental implants provide a viable alternative of tooth replacement. This is a case report of 16 year old female with ameloblastoma. We treated patient with radical excision, conserving the inferior border of the mandible and allogenous bone graft. The defected residual ridge area was reconstructed implants(Steri-Oss Implant System). the result was satisfactory.

An 18-year-old male presented severe hypodontia due to hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia was treated with Le Fort I maxillary osteotomy with simultaneous sinus floor augmentation using the mixture of cortical autogenous bone graft harvested from iliac crest and organic Bio-Oss to position the maxilla in a right occlusal plane with respect to the mandible, and to construct adequate bone volume at posterior maxilla allowing proper implant placement. Due to the poor bone quality at other sites, ridge augmentation with onlay graft was done to construct adequate bone volume allowing proper implant placement, using tissue harvested from the iliac bone. Seven implants were placed in the maxilla and 7 implants were inserted in the mandible and screw-retained metal ceramic FPDs were fabricated. The two year follow up data showed that dental implants should be considered as a good treatment modality for patients with ectodermal dysplasia.
Purpose: The objective of this study was to examine the affected period and the amount of bone formation during osteogenesis of intramembranous bone using low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LPUS) $in$$vivo$. Methods: Xeno-bone (Bio-oss) and autogenous bone were grafted bilaterally into mini-pig mandibles. The left mandible served as the control and the other mandible was treated with 3 MHz, 160 mW (output, 0.8 mW) ultrasound stimulation for 7 days 15 minutes per day. The mini-pigs were sacrificed at 1, 2, 4, and 8 weeks, and micro computed tomography (${\mu}CT$), a microscopic examination, and a statistical analysis were performed on the specimens. Results: Based on a computerized image analysis of the ${\mu}CT$ scans, the experimental group had an average 150% more new bone formation than that in the control group. The effect of LPUS continued during the post operative 2 weeks. The histomorphological microscopic examination showed similar results. Conclusion: Our results suggest the LPUS had an effect on early intramembranous bone formation in vivo.

Operating system (OS) kernel function call graphs have been widely used in OS analysis and defense. However, most existing methods and tools for generating function call graphs are designed for application programs, and cannot be used for generating OS kernel function call graphs. This paper proposes a virtualization-based call graph generation method called Acquire in Trap (AIT). When target kernel functions are called, AIT dynamically initiates a system trap with the help of a virtualization technique. It then analyzes and records the calling relationships for trap handling by traversing the kernel stacks and the code space. Our experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible for both Linux and Windows OSs, including 32 and 64-bit versions, with high recall and precision rates. AIT is independent of the source code, compiler and OS kernel architecture, and is a universal method for generating OS kernel function call graphs.
In this paper, a novel trench power MOSFET using a Separate-W-gated technique MOSFET (SWFET) is proposed. Because the SWFET has a very low $Q_{GD}$ compared to other forms of technology, it can be applied to high-speed power systems. The results found that the SWFET-applied $Q_{GD}$ was decreased by 40% when compared to simply using the more conventional trench gate MOSFET. $C_{ISS}$ (input capacitance : $C_{GS}+C_{GD}$), $C_{OSS}$ (output capacitance : $C_{GD}+C_{DS}$) and $C_{RSS}$ (reverse recovery capacitance : $C_{GD}$) were improved by 24%, 40%, and 50%, respectively. The switching characteristics of the inverter circuit shows a 24.9% enhancement of reverse recovery time, and the power efficiency of the DC-DC buck converter increased by 14.2%. In addition, the proposed SWFET does not require additional process steps and There was no degradation in the electrical performance of the current-voltage and on-resistance.

The Relational ranking method applies authority-based ranking in relational dataset that can be modeled as graphs considering also their tuples' values. Authority directions from tuples that contain the given keywords and transfer to their corresponding neighboring nodes in accordance with their values and semantic connections. From our previous work, ObjectRank extends to ValueRank that also takes into account the value of tuples in authority transfer flows. In a maked difference from ObjectRank, which only considers authority flows through relationships, it is only valid in the bibliographic databases e.g. DBLP dataset, ValueRank facilitates the estimation of importance for any databases, e.g. trading databases, etc. A relational keyword search paradigm Object Summary (denote as OS) is proposed recently, given a set of keywords, a group of Object Summaries as its query result. An OS is a multilevel-tree data structure, in which node (namely the tuple with keywords) is OS's root node, and the surrounding nodes are the summary of all data on the graph. But, some of these trees have a very large in total number of tuples, size-l OSs are the OS snippets, have also been investigated using ValueRank. We evaluated the real bibliographical dataset and Microsoft business databases to verify of our proposed approach.
Regulation of enzyme synthesis by transcriptional and translational control systems provides rather stable adaptation to change of amino acid level in the growth medium, while manipulation of enzyme activity through endproduct feedback inhibition represents rather short-term and reversible ways of adjusting metabolic fluctuation of amino acid level. Various control mechanisms interplay to regulate genes encoding enzymes for amino acid biosynthesis in the yeast, Sacchromyces cerevisiae. When amino acids are in short supply, genes under a cross-pathway regulatory mechanism Or general amino acid control (general control) increase their action, in which Gcn4p is the major positive regulator of gene expression. When cells are cultured in minimal medium, basal level expression is also regulated by supplementary control elements, where inorganic phosphate level is additionally involved. Most of amino acid biosynthetic genes are also regulated by the level of endproduct of the pathway. This pathway-specific regulatory mechanism is called specific amino acid control (specific controD, under which gene expression is reduced when endproduct is present in the medium. Derepression of a gene through general control can be usually overridden by repression through specific control, where the endproduct level of that particular pathway is high and not limiting. In this presentation, regulatory factors for basal level expression and general control of yeast amino acid biosynthesis will be discussed, m addition to pathway-specific repression patterns and interaction between CrOSS- and specific-control mechanisms. Preliminary results are also presented from the investigation of the cloned genes in the threonine biosynthetic pathway of the yeast. yeast.
