본 논문에서는 기존에 구현된 CASE(Computer Aided Software Engineering) 도구인 OODesigner 에 OLE/COM 기술을 이용하여 복합문서 지원 기능을 추가로 구현한 연구 결과에 대하여 논한다. OLE 컨테이너 기능을 구현함으로써 OODesigner는 다른 소프트웨어에 의해 만들어진 문서 객체를 포함하여 복합문서를 작성할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과로 구현된 복합문서 지원 기능을 갖는 OODesigner는 윈도시스템에서 실행되는 각종 응용 프로세스와 상호 협동 작용을 하며 수행될 수 있기 때문에 기존의 CASE 도구가 지원하지 못하는 유용한 문서화 기능을 제공할 수 있다. 즉 객체 지향 관련 설계 문서의 내용을 OODesigner로 편집함과 동시에 OLE 기능을 지원하는 각종 서버 소프트웨어를 연결하여 수행함으로써 일관성 있고 편리한 문서화 작업을 수행할 수 있다.

This paper proposes an easy method to develope user interfaces for the GIS using OLE automation. In the developing stage of user interface, the most important thing is to apply effective windows programming techniques and component software supporting techniques. This study shows an user interface developing method using the OLE automation and Visual Basic programming. For a case study, the study constructs its user interface which performs map overlaying, referencing attribute tables, graph analysis, drawing up of thematic map.

ODBC가 가지는 제한을 극복하고 컴포넌트 기술을 적용하기 위해, OLE DB라는 새로운 데이터 접근 기술이 개발되었다. OpenGIS에서는 공간/비공간 데이터의 상호운용을 지원하기 위해 데이터 모델의 표준으로 추상 명세를 제안하고, 구현 기술로써 OLE DB를 제안하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Gothic, MGE를 대상으로 하여 OpenGIS OLE/COM 구현명세중 핵심이 되는 OpenGIS 공간데이터 제공자를 설계, 구현하였다. 또한 기존의 OpenGIS 관련 논문과는 달리 두 개의 GIS 서버를 대상으로 하여 상호운용성을 검증하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 공간 데이터 제공자는 서로 다른 GIS S/W에 분산 저장된 공간 데이터의 접근을 가능하게 해 주기 때문에 분산환경에서 컴포넌트화된 GIS소프트웨어 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Since the advent of object-oriented(OO) technology, research and development projects have fumed out that OO technology could importantly contribute in productivity and reusability improvement. There are various research areas related to OO technology And two of major research fields in this areas are concerned in issues for CASE tools and component-based technologies. This paper discusses a trial of applying component-based technology to a CASE tool. This paper proposes the design and implementation issues obtained while we have incrementally developed OODesigner, an OO CASE tool, with compound document support functionality based on COM/OLE technology. As OODesigner with OLE container/server functionality has interoperability with other application programs of Windows system, it can provide more powerful documentation environment than other CASE tools. OODesigner can be used not only to design UML diagrams. but also enables us to make more expressive documentation cooperatively with various kinds of OLE-enabled software like Recorder and Excel. Therefore powerful and consistent documentation activity can be achieved with the tool.

This study aimed to enhance ethanol productivity of Saccharomyces cerevisiae through genome editing using CRISPR/CAS9. To increase ethanol productivity, ACC1, ELO1, and OLE1 were overexpressed in S. cerevisiae using the CRISPR/CAS9 system. The strains overexpressing ACC1, ELO1, and OLE1 survived up to 24 h in YPD medium supplemented with 18% ethanol. Moreover, the ethanol yields in strains overexpressing ACC1 (428.18 mg ethanol/g glucose), ELO1 (416.15 mg ethanol/g glucose), and OLE1 (430.55 mg ethanol/g glucose) were higher than those in the control strains (400.26 mg ethanol/g glucose). In conclusion, the overexpression of these genes increased the viability of S. cerevisiae at high ethanol concentrations and the ethanol productivity without suppressing glucose consumption.

Korean red ginseng (Panax ginseng Meyer) is a well-known traditional medicine, with numerous biological functions in the body. Portulaca oleracea (P. ole) belongs to the Portulacaceae family and has bioactive potential as a traditional medicine. This study aimed to determine the anti-inflammatory effects of Korean red ginseng extract (RGE) and P. ole extract on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated RAW 264.7 cells. The combination of RGE (50 ㎍/mL) and P. ole (6.25 ㎍/mL) extracts significantly suppressed LPS-induced nitric oxide synthesis. The expression of proinflammatory mediators, including inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), and proinflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-1β, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α, were markedly decreased by the combined treatment with RGE (50 ㎍/mL) and P. ole (6.25 ㎍/mL). Moreover, iNOS and COX-2 protein expression levels were also significantly reduced in the combined treatment compared to the LPS-stimulated group. In addition, the nuclear translocation of phosphorylated nuclear factor kappa-B was suppressed by the treatment with RGE and P. ole. Moreover, the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway was also partially inhibited by the combination treatment with RGE and P. ole. Our results demonstrate that the treatment mixture with RGE and P. ole could be used as functional food and therapeutic herbal medicine in various inflammatory diseases.

Automakers have been forcing their suppliers to guarantee qualities of parts. Then, the suppliers have met the fundamental quality requirements such as dimensions and functions, but they could not sufficiently satisfy the automakers' noise requirements yet because automatic noise inspection systems were little successfully adopted In mass-production lines. This study tried to develop a system for automatically checking noise radiated from a rotating engine part and filtering parts emitting noise higher than criteria: the upper limits of a overall noise level or a noise spectrum. A commercial noise measurement system was used for measuring noise, and then the noise data was transmitted to a governing program through OLE(object, linking and embedding) functions. The governing program, belonging to a total noise inspection system managed the noise measurement and analysis. This system was successfully adapted for distinguishing bad parts according to the noise criteria.

많은 지리자료에 대한 효율적이고 효과적인 검색 및 다양한 지리자료 데이터 포맷에 대한 데이터 변환에 드는 비용을 최소화하기 위해 지리자료의 공유, 즉 상호운용(Interoperability)에 대한 필요성이 제기되었으며 이를 위한 표준의 하나로 OpenGIS라는 표준이 만들어지고 있다. OpenGIS는 기존의 표준과는 다른 광범위하고 미래지향적인 특징으로 인해 실질적인 GIS 표준으로 자리잡아 가고 있는 실정이지만, 국내에서는 OpenGIS 구현명세에 대한 체계적인 연구 및 여러 GIS 서버를 대상으로 한 실제구현 사례가 거의 없는 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 컴포넌트 기반의 분산환경에 가장 근접해 있는 OpenGIS OLE/COM 구현명세에 대한 분석을 통해 Gothic, MGE, Oracle에 적용하기 위한 OGIS 데이터 제공자의 설계 및 이를 바탕으로 상호운용을 달성하기 위한 OpenGIS 미들웨어의 설계를 제시한다.

Two of major research fields in this area are concerned in issues for CASE tools and component-based technologies. This paper discusses an example of applying component-based technology to a CASE tool. This paper proposes the research experience gained while we have developing OODesigner, an OO CASE tool, with compound document support functionality based on COM/OLE technology. OODesigner can be used not only to model UML diagrams, but also to make documentation cooperatively with various kinds of OLE servers and containers. Therefore we can conduct powerful and consistent documentation with the tool. In this paper, we present design issues for incrementally implementing the compound document support facilities as a container and a server and show a brief sample for demonstrating the usability of the OLE enabled CASE tool.

Open architecture controller (OAC) is well known technology in factory automation. To better understand the requirements of OAC, authors have discussed the OAC related topics with a number of control experts who represents different segments of the machining industry. There is no common concept that is accepted or used, however, the common ideas for OAC is the control system that is hardware independent, interchangeable, and easily scalable. This paper presents summary of the understaning and requirements of OAC. Based on the requirements of OAC, authors developed the software based PC-CNC. The main focus of the PC-CNC was on the user customization capability and open interface between control networks in manufacturing system. This paper introduces the developed PC-CNC briefly. In addition to introduction of the PC-CNC, to fill the gap between end users and vendors of OAC, this paper presents two applications using OAC. One is a remote monitoring system. The OPC (Ole for Process Control) standard interface was used to monitor the status of open architecture CNC across network. The other is the remote production management module for machine tools using standard database interface.
