Study on Designing and Implementing Online Customer Analysis System based on Relational and Multi-dimensional Model (관계형 다차원모델에 기반한 온라인 고객리뷰 분석시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • Through opinion mining, we can analyze the degree of positive or negative sentiments that customers feel about important entities or attributes in online customer reviews. But, the limit of the opinion mining techniques is to provide only simple functions in analyzing the reviews. In this paper, we proposed novel techniques that can analyze the online customer reviews multi-dimensionally. The novel technique is to modify the existing OLAP techniques so that they can be applied to text data. The novel technique, that is, multi-dimensional analytic model consists of noun, adjective and document axes which are converted into four relational tables in relational database. The multi-dimensional analysis model would be new framework which can converge the existing opinion mining, information summarization and clustering algorithms. In this paper, we implemented the multi-dimensional analysis model and algorithms. we recognized that the system would enable us to analyze the online customer reviews more complexly.

  • Productivity is one of key management indexes for evaluating soundness of a manufacturing organization and its efficiency. In many aspects of productivity management in the construction industry, however, intuition of an experienced field manager still plays a greater role while productivity data is not utilized efficiently for the construction management purposes, because the collection and analysis of the productivity-related information are not systematic. Lack of systematic method in collecting and analyzing the productivity data results in such problems. The existing WBS should therefore be improved to solve them. The authors developed a new WBS for productivity data collection and analysis by following the research direction that was determined by literature reviews, overseas cases, and interviews with field engineers. The new breakdown structure was then evaluated for its feasibility as a productivity analysis framework. It is expected that the productivity data collected by the WBS will be used for OLAP and mining for future productivity forecast.

  • In this study, an analytical CRM for customer segmentation is exercised by integrating and analyzing the customer profile data and the access data to a particular web site. We believe that effective customer segmentation will be possible with a basis of the understanding of customer characteristics as well as behavior on the web. One of the critical tasks in the web data-mining is concerned with both 'how to collect the data from the web in an efficient manner?' and 'how to integrate the data(mostly in a variety of types) effectively for the analysis?' This study proposes a panel approach as an efficient data collection method in the web. For the customer data analysis, OLAF and a tree-structured algorithm are applied in this study. The results of the analysis with both techniques are compared, confirming the previous work which the two techniques are inter-complementary.

  • In leaner-controlled environment where learners can decide and restructure the contents, methods and order of learning by themselves, it is possible to apply individualized learning in consideration of each learner's characteristics. The present study analyzed learners' learning path pattern, which is one of learners' characteristics important in Web-based teaching-learning process, using the Apriori algorithm and grouped learners according to their learning path pattern. Based on the result, we designed and implemented a multi-dimensional learning path pattern analysis system to provide individual learners with teaming paths, learning contents, learning media, supplementary teaming contents, the pattern of material presentation, etc. multi-dimensionally. According to the result of surveying satisfaction with the developed system satisfaction with supplementary learning contents was highest (Highly satisfied '$24.5\%$, Satisfied'$35.7\%$). By learners' level, satisfaction was higher in low-level learners (Highly satisfied'$20.2\%$, Satisfied'$31.2\%$) than in high-level learners (Highly satisfied'$18.4\%$, 'Satisfied'$28.54\%$). The developed system is expected to provide learners with multi-dimensionally meaningful information from various angles using OLAP technologies such as drill-up and drill-down.

  • Data cube, which is multi-dimensional data model, have been successfully applied in many cases of multi-dimensional data analysis, and is still being researched to be applied in data stream analysis. Data stream is being generated in real-time, incessant, immense, and volatile manner. The distribution characteristics of data arc changing rapidly due to those characteristics, so the primary rule of handling data stream is to check once and dispose it. For those characteristics, users are more interested in high support attribute values observed rather than the entire attribute values over data streams. This paper propose dynamic data cube for applying data cube to data stream environment. Dynamic data cube specify user's interested area by the support ratio of attribute value, and dynamically manage the attribute values by grouping each other. By doing this it reduce the memory usage and process time. And it can efficiently shows or emphasize user's interested area by increasing the granularity for attributes that have higher support. We perform experiments to verify how efficiently dynamic data cube works in limited memory usage.

  • Rice varietal information exchange is vital for agricultural experiments and trials. With the growing size of rice data gathered around the world, and numerous research and development achievements, the effective collection and convenient ways of data dissemination is an important aspect to be dealt with. The collection of this data is continuously worked out through various international cooperation and network programs. The problem in acquiring this information anytime anywhere is the new challenge faced by rice breeders, scientist and crop information specialists, in order to perform rapid analysis and obtain significant results in rice research, thus alleviating rice production. To address these constraints, we propose an Online Analytical Query System, a web query application to provide breeders and rice scientist around the world a fast web search engine for rice varieties, giving the users the freedom to choose from which trial it has been used, trait observation parameters as well as geographical or weather conditions, and location specifications. The application uses data warehouse techniques and OLAP for summarization of agricultural trials conducted, and statistical analysis in deriving outstanding varieties used in these trials, consolidated in an Model-View-Controller Web framework.

  • The analysis method using Big Data has evolved based on the Big data Management Technology. There are quite a few researching institutions anticipating new era in data analysis using Big Data and IT vendors has been sided with them launching standardized technologies for Big Data management technologies. Big Data is also affected by improvements of IT gadgets IT environment. Foreran by social media, analyzing method of unstructured data is being developed focusing on diversity of analyzing method, anticipation and optimization. In the past, data analyzing methods were confined to the optimization of structured data through data mining, OLAP, statics analysis. This data analysis was solely used for decision making for Chief Officers. In the new era of data analysis, however, are evolutions in various aspects of technologies; the diversity in analyzing method using new paradigm and the new data analysis experts and so forth. In addition, new patterns of data analysis will be found with the development of high performance computing environment and Big Data management techniques. Accordingly, this paper is dedicated to define the possible analyzing method of social media using Big Data. this paper is proposed practical use analysis for social media analysis through data mining analysis methodology.

Implementation of Management performance Analysis System with KDD (KDD에 기반한 경영성과 분석 시스템 구현)

  • In modern dynamic management environment, there is growing recognition that? information & knowledge management systems are essential for CEO's efficient/effective decision making. As a key component to cope with this current, we suggest the management performance analysis syystem based on Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD). The system measures management performance that is considered with both VA(Value- Added), which represents stakeholder's point of view and EVA(Economic Value-Added), which represents shareholder's point of view. The relation ship between management performance and some 80 financial ratios is analyzed, and then important financial ratios are drawn out. In analyzing the relationship, we applied KDD process which includes such as multidimensional cube, OLAP(On-Line Analytic Process), data mining and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). To demonstrate the performance of the system, we conducted a case study using financial data over the 16-years from 1981 to 1996 of Korean automobile industry which is taken from database of KISF AS(Korea Investors Services Financial Analysis System).

An Efficient ROLAP Cube Generation Scheme (효율적인 ROLAP 큐브 생성 방법)

  • ROLAP(Relational Online Analytical Processing) is a process and methodology for a multidimensional data analysis that is essential to extract desired data and to derive value-added information from an enterprise data warehouse. In order to speed up query processing, most ROLAP systems pre-compute summary tables. This process is called 'cube generation' and it mostly involves intensive table sorting stages. (1) showed that it is much faster to generate ROLAP summary tables indirectly using a MOLAP(multidimensional OLAP) cube generation algorithm. In this paper, we present such an indirect ROLAP cube generation algorithm that is fast and scalable. High memory utilization is achieved by slicing the input fact table along one or more dimensions before generating summary tables. High speed is achieved by producing summary tables from their smallest parents. We showed the efficiency of our algorithm through experiments.
