We have examined Raman spectra of cis-peptide model complex, diketopiperazine in water and $D_2O$ with 320 nm through 218 nm excitation. Our study examines assignment of the resonance enhanced amide vibrations and characterizes their enhancement mechanism. Three resonance enhaned cis-peptide marker bands were observed in aqueous solution at 1676, 1533 and $806cm^{-1}$, which were assigned to the cis-amide I, II and S band, respectively. The $1533cm^{-1}$ amide II band, which is almost pure C-N stretching, was most dominant in water and shifted to $1520cm^{-1}$ upon N-deuteration. This band will be probably a potential probe band for cis-peptide moieties in proteins. The excitation profile data and an Albrecht A-term fit indicated that the cis-peptide vibrations derive their intensities from the 188 nm cis-peptide ${\pi}-{\pi}^*$ electronic transition. We Propose that the geometry of cis-peptide ${\pi}^*$ excited state is C-N bond displacement relative to that of electronic ground state.
Database administrators should be aware of performance characteristics of database systems in order to manage database system effectively. The usages of system resources in database systems could be quite different under database workloads. The objective of this paper is to identify and analyze performance characteristics of database systems in different workloads, which could help database tuners tune database systems Under the TPC-C and TPC-W workloads, which represent typical workloads of online transaction processing and electronic commerce respectively, we investigated usage types of resource that are determined by fourteen performance indicator, and are behaved in response to changes of four tuning parameters (data buffer, private memory, I/O process, shared memory). Eight out of the fourteen performance indicators cleary show the performance differences under the workloads. Changes of data buffer parameter give a influences to database system. The tuning parameter that affects the system performance significantly is the database buffer size in the both workloads.

A design of a dismantling mock-up system have been established based on the result that analyzed a characteristic of modules which need to design a virtual dismantling facility. A unit program composed of a various module such as a decommissioning database system. 3D dosimetric mapping that represents a distribution of a radionuclide contamination, a evaluation module for a dismantling schedule and cost A research of software architecture was carried out in order to Integrate these components that have been independently operated. The result was established an architecture that consis of a visualization module which could be visualized D&D activities and a simulation module which tan he evaluated a dismantling schedule and decommissioning cost.
In component-Based Software Development, the quality of indivisual component is play an important role in quality decision of the whole software. So we need the practical strategy for component testing. In general, component testing can divide focus into producer position and consumer position. In this paper, because the consumer position uses output of the producer position, testing domain is deployed in the producer position. We propose RUP based five step testing processes for component quality evaluation and implements a case study of EJB environment for appling our testing process. This paper shows that proposed five step processes are applicable to component quality evaluation.
The study was carried out on the artificial cultivation of the abalone mushroom, Pleurotus cystidiosus O.K.Miller. The pine sawdust substrates with 20% rise bran were good for mycelial growth and high quantity of P. cystidiosus in the bottle cultivation. Moreover, the proper volume for bottle cultivation was 850 ml and the removal of spawn and surface layer of the medium before pin-heading was more efficient. The yields of P. cystidiosus were higher in sawdust substrates added calcium carbonate than those not added calcium carbonate. The volume of 3 kg polypropylene bag is good for yield and biological efficiency in bag cultivation of P. cystidiosus. Cotton wastes were proper substrates for bag cultivation. In the effect of different cultivation temperature, $28{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ cultivation temperature was good for for primordial formation after inoculation.

The multi-level $H_2O/CO_2$ profile system has been widely used to quantify the storage and advection effects on energy and mass fluxes measured by eddy covariance systems. In this study, we expanded the utility of the profile system by accommodating air sampling devices for isotope analyses of water vapor and $CO_2$. A pre-evacuated 2L glass flask was connected to the discharge of an Infrared Gas Analyzer (IRGA) of the profile system so that airs with known concentration of $H_2O$ and $CO_2$ can be sampled. To test the performance of this sampling system, we sampled airs from 8 levels (from 0.1 to 40 m) at the KoFlux tower of Gwangneung deciduous forest, Korea. Air samples in the 2L flask were separated into its component gases and pure $H_2O$ and $CO_2$ were extracted by using a vacuum extraction line. This novel technique successfully produced vertical profiles of ${\delta}D$ of $H_2O$ and ${\delta}^{13}C$ of $CO_2$ in a mature forest, and estimated ${\delta}D$ of evapotranspiration (${\delta}D_{ET}$) and ${\delta}^{13}C$ of $CO_2$ from ecosystem respiration (${\delta}^{13}C_{resp}$) by using Keeling plots. While technical improvement is still required in various aspects, our sampling system has two major advantages over other proposed techniques. First, it is cost effective since our system uses the existing structure of the profile system. Second, both $CO_2$ and $H_2O$ can be sampled simultaneously so that net ecosystem exchange of $H_2O$ and $CO_2$ can be partitioned at the same temporal resolution, which will improve our understanding of the coupling between water and carbon cycles in terrestrial ecosystems.

This study was conducted to examine the differences between dynamic and static elastic constants by use of some laboratory tests of cement mortar specimens which have different water/cement mixing ratios. Specific gravity measurement, ultrasonic velocity estimating and uniaxial compression test were adopted to acquire the dynamic and static elastic constants. Digital data acquisition and processing enhanced the accuracy of estimating the velocities of specimens drastically, Also, the method using the gradient of propagation delay time in according to increment of specimen length more enhanced the accuracy than the method using the only one specimen length over total propagation time. The correlation between density and the P and S wave velocity of specimens shows reliable positive relation and the correlation between density and the strength of uniaxial compression has the similar relationship. The dynamic Young's modulus $(E_D)$ is alway greater than the static Young's modulus $(E_S)$ and there is increasing tendency of the ratio $(E_D/E_S)$ according to the increase of density or strength of the specimens. On the other hand, there is no typical relationship between dynamic Poisson's ratio $({\nu}_D)$ and static Poisson's ratio $({\nu}_S)$ and just the ratio of ${\nu}_D/{\nu}_S$ ranges front 69 to 122 %.
This paper describes an intelligent real-time monitoring system of a semiconductor processing equipment, which determines normal or not for a wafer in processing, using multiple time-series pattern recognition. The proposed system consists of three phases, initialization, learning and real-time prediction. The initialization phase sets the weights and tile effective steps for all parameters of a monitoring equipment. The learning phase clusters time series patterns, which are producted and fathered for processing wafers by the equipment, using LBG algorithm. Each pattern has an ACI which is measured by a tester at the end of a process The real-time prediction phase corresponds a time series entered by real-time with the clustered patterns using Dynamic Time Warping, and finds the best matched pattern. Then it calculates a predicted ACI from a combination of the ACI, the difference and the weights. Finally it determines Spec in or out for the wafer. The proposed system is tested on the data acquired from etching device. The results show that the error between the estimated ACI and the actual measurement ACI is remarkably reduced according to the number of learning increases.

The oxygen and hydrogen isotopic composition in precipitation, groundwater and geothermal water were monitored over four-year period from 2001 to 2004 at the Yuseong catchment, Daejeon. By analyzing the long term rainfall pattern, we found out the drought cycle of 6 or 7 year. We fortunately revealed that the oxygen and hydrogen isotopic composition of rain has progressively changed to heavier isotopic ratios from 2001 to 2004. The weighted mean values of ${\delta}^{18}O\;and\;{\delta}D$ of rain are calculated to be $-7.7%o\;and\;-51%o$, respectively. These isotopic values are much heavier than those of groundwater and geothermal water collected at the same period, which indicates that the rain or snow of the study area would not immediately affect the isotopic composition of groundwater or geothermal water. Comparing with the previous data, the groundwater and geothermal water collected at 1990 and 1992 year has the heaviest isotopic composition and afterwards their isotopic composition has been progressively shifted to the direction of lighter composition field.
