$TiO_2$ 광촉매반응을 이용한 수중의 은이온 제거에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Removal of Ag(I) in Water Using $TiO_2$ Photocatalysis)

  • The photocatalytic removal of Ag(I) in water by $TiO_2$ at a various conditions, which are initial Ag(I) concentration, circulation flow rate, $TiO_2$ dosage and methanol concentration, was studied. A continuous flow system with a circular type reactor of the TiO2 suspensions with UV light through an photoreactor column was applied. The major results of this study were as follows; 1. First order kinetics was observed from the result at different initial concentration of Ag(I). As the initial Ag(I) concentration was incereased, the reaction rate was decreased. 2. The removal efficiency of Ag(I) increased with increasing the circulation flow rate and $TiO_2$ dosage. However, over $4{\ell}/min$ of circulation flow rate and $1.5g/{\ell}$ of $TiO_2$ dosage, increasing of the efficiency reached a plateau. 3. The addition of methanol as hole scavenger enhanced the removal efficiency of Ag(I) but the removal efficiency reached a plateau over some level of methanol. 4. It was found that $TiO_2$ photocatalysis was effective method to remove of Ag(I) from aqueous solution.

서울시 지하철 2호선의 가을철 객실 PM2.5 농도의 특성 (Characteristics of In-cabin PM2.5 Concentration in Seoul Metro Line Number 2 in Autumn)

  • Objectives: Subway is one of the most common transportation modes in Seoul, Korea. The objectives of this study were to determine characteristics of in-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentration in Seoul Metro Line Number 2 and to identify factors of the $PM_{2.5}$ concentration. Methods: In-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations in Seoul Metro Line Number 2 were measured using real-time monitors and the factors affecting $PM_{2.5}$ concentration in cabin were observed. Linear regression analysis of in-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentration and indoor/outdoor (I/O) ratio were performed. Results: In-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentration was associated with the in-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentration in previous station. In-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentration was correlated with ambient $PM_{2.5}$ concentration and associated with underground station with control of the in-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentration in previous station. I/O ratio increased as the number of passengers increased and when passing through the underground station with control of I/O ratio in previous station. Conclusion: In-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentration was affected by ambient $PM_{2.5}$ concentration. Therefore, management of in-cabin $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations should be based on outdoor air quality.

  • We proposed that concentrations of cartier electron as well as ionized donor defects in nonstoichiometric ZnO are proportional to $P^{-1/2}_{O_2}$, whenever they ionizes singly or doubly, by employing the Fermi-Dirac (FD) statistics for ionization of the native thermal defects $Zn_i$ and $V_o$. The effect of acceptor defect, zinc vacancy $V_{Zn}$made by the Frenkel and Schottky disorder reactions, on carrier concentrations was discussed. By application of the FD statistics law to their ionization while the formation of defects is assumed governed by the mass-action law, the calculation results indicate; 1. ZnO shows n-type conductivity with $N_D>$N_A$ and majority concentration of $n{\propto}\;P^{-1/2}_{O_2}$ in a range of $P_{O_2}$, lower than a critical value. 2. As the concentration of acceptor $V_{Zn}$ increases proportional to $P^{1/2}_{O_{2}}$, ZnO made at extremely high $P_{O_{2}}$, can have p-type conductivity with majority concentration of p ${\propto}\;P^{-1/2}_{O_{2}}$. One may not, however, obtain p-type ZnO if the pressure for $N_{D}<$N_{A}$ is too high.

$BaTiO_3$의 유전성에 미치는 $Dy_2O_3$의 영향 (Effect of $Dy_2O_3$ on Dielectric Properties of Barium Titanate)

  • The effect of the additive on dielectric properties of $BaTiO_3$ containing 0.030 mol% $Dy_2O_3$ was investigated function of frequency from 5$\times$104 to 0.3$\times$107cps and temperature from 25 to 1$25^{\circ}C$. The dielectric constant increased with increasing $Dy_2O_3$ concentration from 0 to 0.05mol% due to space charge polarization. However, the dielectric constant decreased for further increase of $Dy_2O_3$ concentration due to density increase. The dielectric constant exhibits rapid change at the Curie temperature and the Curie temperature drops from 122 to 116$^{\circ}C$ with increasing amount of $Dy_2O_3$ concentration.

금속전환체 조성의 전해정련 전해조 UCl3 농도변화에 대한 영향 (Effect of the Composition of a Reduced Fuel on the Concentration Change of UCl3 in the Electrorefiner)

  • 파이로프로세싱의 전해환원공정에서 생산된 금속전환체의 조성은 전해정련공정 운전의 중요한 운전변수인 용융염 중 $UCl_3$의 농도변화에 영향을 미친다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 금속전환체에 함유된 TRU와 RE 원소의 함량 및 금속전환체에 동반되어 전해정련 전해조에 유입될 수 있는 $Li_2O$ 농도가 전해정련 전해조의 $UCl_3$ 농도 변화에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 금속전환체의 TRU 원소와 RE 원소의 농도만을 고려하였을 때 전해정련 운전 batch 수 증가에 따라 $UCl_3$ 농도가 감소하였다. 전해정련 1 campaign(20 batch)를 운전하기 위해서는 $UCl_3$를 3회 이상 추가 보충해야 함을 알 수 있었다. 한편, 금속전환체에 동반되어 전해정련 전해조에 유입되는 $Li_2O$의 유입량 증가에 따라 $UCl_3$ 농도 감소의 영향이 크게 나타났으며, 이에 따라 운전 가능 batch 수가 급격히 감소하게 되어 전해정련 운전에 중요한 운전 변수임을 보여주었다. 이러한 결과는 전해정련 운전 중 $UCl_3$ 농도 유지를 위해 금속전환체에 포함된 TRU 및 RE 원소뿐만 아니라 금속전환체에 동반되어 유입될 가능성이 있는 $Li_2O$의 영향도 고려하여 전해정련 운전모드를 설정하여야 함을 보여주었다.

AZ91 마그네슘 합금의 플라즈마 전해산화 피막 형성 및 물성에 미치는 0.1 M NaOH + 0.05 M NaF 용액 중 Na2SiO3 농도의 영향 (Formation Behavior and Properties of PEO Films on AZ91 Mg Alloy in 0.1 M NaOH + 0.05 M NaF Solution Containing Various Na2SiO3 Concentrations)

  • Effects of Na2SiO3 concentration added into 0.1 M NaOH + 0.05 M NaF solution on the formation behavior and properties of PEO films on AZ91 Mg alloy were investigated under 1200 Hz of alternating current (AC) by voltage-time curves, in-situ observation of arc generation behavior and measurements of film thickness, surface roughness and micro vickers hardness. In the absence of Na2SiO3 in the 0.1 M NaOH + 0.05 M NaF solution, about 4 ㎛ thick PEO film was formed within 1 min and then PEO film did not grow but white spots were formed by local burning. Addition of Na2SiO3 up to 0.2 M caused more increased formation voltage and growth of PEO film with uniform generation of arcs. Addition of Na2SiO3 from 0.2 M to 0.4 M showed nearly the same voltage-time behavior and uniform arc generation. Addition of Na2SiO3 more than 0.5 M resulted in a decrease of formation voltage and non-uniform arc generation due to local burning. PEO film growth rate increased with increasing added Na2SiO3 concentration but maximum PEO film thickness was limited by local burning if added Na2SiO3 concentration is higher than 0.5 M. Surface roughness of PEO film increased with increasing added Na2SiO3 concentration and appeared to be proportional to the PEO film thickness. PEO film hardness increased with increasing added Na2SiO3 concentration and reached a steady-state value of about 930 HV at more than 0.5 M of added Na2SiO3 concentration.

  • A numerical model has been proposed for a diffusion flame reactor to manufacture ultrafine $TiO_2$ powders. The model equations such as mass balance equation, the 0th, 1st, and 2nd moment equations of aerosols were considered. The phenomena such as $TiCl_4$ reaction rate, $TiO_2$ nucleation rate and the coagulation of $TiO_2$ powders were included in the aerosol dynamic equation. It is found that the $TiO_2$ particle concentration becomes higher, as the inlet $TiCl_4$ concentration and the total gas flow rate increase, and also as the flame temperature decreases. The $TiO_2$ particle size increases, as the flame temperature and the inlet $TiCl_4$ concentration increase and the total gas flow rate decreases.

실시간 $O_2$ 농도 제어 풋고추 용기에서 능동기체치환 시스템이 기체조성과 품질보존에 미치는 효과 (Atmosphere and Green Pepper Quality Influenced by Active Air Flushing in Fresh Produce Container Controlled in Real-time $O_2$ Concentration)

  • 능동적 기체치환 소형 펌프를 900 g의 풋고추를 담은 폴리프로필렌 용기($32cm{\time}23cm{\time}18cm$)에 설치하여 품질보존에 도움이 되도록 실시간으로 $O_2$ 농도를 효율적으로 제어하고자 하였다. $10^{\circ}C$$20^{\circ}C$에서 제작된 능동기체치환 시스템과 실시간 $O_2$ 농도에 따라 튜브의 개폐가 제어되는 수동기체튜브 시스템을 수행효과 면에서 비교하였다. 제어 logic에서는 $O_2$ 농도가 바로 13%에 위치하거나 13~15%의 범위에 머물도록 프로그램되었다. $10^{\circ}C$에서는 두 시스템 모두가 요구된 적정 수준이나 범위의 $O_2$ 농도를 유지할 수 있었으나, 높은 $20^{\circ}C$의 온도에서는 수동기체튜브 시스템은 높은 풋고추의 호흡으로 인하여 과도하게 낮은 $O_2$ 농도와 허용범위 이상의 $CO_2$ 농도를 형성시켰다. 이에 반하여 능동기체치환 시스템은 높은 온도에서도 실시간 $O_2$ 농도에 즉각적으로 반응하여 적정수준이나 범위의 MA를 유지할 수 있었다. $20^{\circ}C$에서 능동기체치환 시스템으로 제어된 MA 용기는 통기성 대조구 포장에 비하여 5일 저장 후에 낮은 중량손실, 높은 ascorbic acid와 chlorophyll 함량과 경도 유지를 나타내어서 품질보존 효과가 우수하였다.

해풍이 부산 지역의 대기 오염 농도에 미치는 영향 (The Influences of Sea Breeze on Air Pollution Concentration in Pusan, Korea)

  • Air pollution characteristics and the influence of sea breeze on air pollution concentration were studied using the data measured at 7 air quality continuous monitoring stations in Pusan, 1993. Maximum air pollution concentration in Pusan was Gamjeondong for $SO_2$, Sinpyeongdong for TSP, Daeyeondong for $O_3, Kwangbokdong for $NO_2$, Beomcheondong for CO and all substances were under annual ambient air quality standards. Increased rate of concentration for sea breeze was 24.4% for 502, 31.5% for TSP, 8.0% fort $O_3, 26.7% for $NO_2$, 15.7% for CO. Frequencies distribution of $SO_2$, TSP, $O_3$, $NO_2$, and CO concentration for sea breeze moved toward high concentration class.

평면 레이저 유도 형광법(PLIF)을 이용한 $CH_4/O_2N_2$ 예혼합화염의 NO 농도 분포 가시화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Visualization of NO Concentration Distributions in $CH_4/O_2N_2$ Premixed Flames by PLIF)

  • In this study, quantitative measurement of nitric oxide concentration distributions visualization were investigated in the laminar $CH_4/O_2N_2$ nixed flame by Planar laser-induced fluorescence(PLIF). The NO A-X (0,0) vibrational band around 226nm was excited using a XeCl excimer-pumped dye laser. Selecting an appropriate NO transition minimizes interference from Rayleigh scattering and $O_2$ fluorescence. The measurements were taken in $CH_4/O_2N_2$ premixed flame with equivalence ratios varying from $1.0{\sim}1.6$, and a fixed flow rate of 3slpm. NO was found to produce primarily between an inner premixed and an outer nonpremixed flame front, and total NO concentration is raised when equivalence ratios increase. These results suggest that prompt NO is likely to contribute to MO formation in $CH_4/O_2N_2$ premixed flame. Furthermore, this trend was well matched with previous works.
